Blake’s mother originated from Albania. She was raised with two sisters and loving parents who cared for her very much. They tried to bring her up in a healthy catholic upbringing, but Ari always rebelled, even from the start. She was never interested in her parents’ traditional ways. Time and time again she would fall easy prey to cult leaders. And time and time again her parents or older siblings would bail her out.
It was through one of these cults that she ‘fell in love’ with the Greek God Zeus. The story version of him anyways. The cult leader (who at the time was her boyfriend) had an extensive mythological-type library which she read in for hours on end. That’s when she heard of a Greek group which successfully contacted the Gods and even met some of them.
She ran away from her home in Albania to Greece to seek membership. A month later, she was a permanent member, unable to leave the cult compound. She didn’t mind once she found out their contact with the Greek Gods were real. She stayed in the worship room most of the time. Continuously praying to Zeus, hoping he would hear her.
And he did. One night, several months into her membership, he even visited her. That was the night Blake was conceived. But it was the last time she ever saw her beloved Zeus.
She spent her entire pregnancy begging Zeus to return. He never did. But Ari never gave up hope. Up until Blake was eight, she prayed night and day for his return. Finally, he answered her. No.
Ari was distraught and inconsolable. She escaped in the night with her son, with the help from friends from the cult, she was able to escape to Florida.
The she raised Blake, and tried her best to forget about all of the years of heartbreak that occurred in Greece. She even gave herself a more English sounding name, along with Blake. All of this worked for a couple of years. That was when one of her old friends contacted her.
He had had a daughter with Ariadne around the same time she had Blake. He and Ari had always been close as they came from the same country of origin and joined about the same time and left at the same time. He’d made contact with her since his daughter, Jehona, had recently gone to camp. He knew that Blake was like Jehona in the way he had Godly blood.
It was planned that Ari and Blake would fly to New York City the next Monday, and Ari’s old friend would meet them there.
However, an unexpected monster attack forced them to go sooner.
Blake made it to camp safely and became good friends with Jehona.
Ari married Jehona’s father a few months after Blake went to camp and she moved to Manhattan.
