Elixabeth Oslo-Child of Boreas -The Queen in the North, Counsellor of Boreas' Cabin Age: 15 Height: 5'6" Relationship:Single Health Status: Healthy Species: Demigod Main Weapon:Bow, Harpoon, Dao Broadswords – "Winter is Coming."
Time spent at Camp and in particular as a counsellor have molded Elixabeth into a much more outgoing individual than she was when she first arrived. Nevertheless, she remains a very somber and reflective person and when engaging with people will often revert to overly sophisticated linguistics in order to keep a cold distance. In spite of this distant demeanor, Elixabeth is still very much willing to go out on a limb to aid people and stick up for others.
Elixabeth is the incumbent counsellor of Boreas' Cabin, a responsibility she takes very seriously. In addition to her Counsellor duties, Elixabeth enjoys training and participating in all the events Camp has to offer. Events she has participated include Ares' Cries of War contest, Survival Tactics and the Grand Cabin Games.
21 December 1997
A daughter of Boreas, Elixabeth was born as a result of a brief courtship between the god Boreas and her human mother Juni. Juni was the bartender of a bar in Northern Norway called Frossen Brann which was a favorite hangout of Boreas.' An ever traversing God, Boreas did not hang around long enough to see his daughter born and Juni shortly afterward met and fell in love with a local fisherman named Fredelig Vinden who was eager for a family himself and had no qualms about marrying the pregnant Juni. Juni would later learn from Fredelig that he was a demigod himself, the son of the sea god Pontus. Though she became aware of her heritage early, Elixabeth had no desire to depart for Camp Half-Blood due to her love of Norway as well as Fredelig's ability and willingness to train her himself. When she turned 12, she received the first test of her powers when their cottage was attacked in the wee hours of the morning by a hord of harpies. Elixabeth and Fredelig drove off the harpies in what was Elixabeth's first combat demonstration of her powers. That day to celebrate Elixabeth's triumph, Fredelig decided to take Elixabeth and Juni fishing out in the harbor. Unknown to Fredelig, his father Pontus had gotten in a recent quarrel with the great god of the Sea Poseidon. Not desiring to employ public punishment of Pontus with the risk of causing strife in his sea kingdom, Poseidon has long been mulling ways to inflict punishment on the rebellious Pontus in another way. When he saw Fredelig and his family fishing, he recognized Fredelig right away as a son of Pontus and saw this as the perfect time to exact punishment. He caused a gigantic storm to ravage the harbor and Fredelig's ship was destroyed. Fredelig and Juni perished but Boreas who was making his northly rounds witnessed Poseidon's storm and feeling a strange attachment to the child, persuaded Poseidon to spare her. Once he learned that Elixabeth was his daughter, Boreas felt a twinge of guilt and knew he had to do something to help her. Having lost her parents, Elixabeth felt there was no longer anything in Norway for her and desired only to journey to Camp Half-Blood. Elixabeth managed to stow away on a small ship bound for Britain and from there she stowed away on a large cargo ship bound for Long Island and made quick time due to Boreas' intervention. As she was trying to find the path to Camp Half-Blood she was suddenly attacked by a vicious hell hound. Her confidence shaken by the tragedy she had endured and unfamiliar with such a vicious foe, Elixabeth was not able to defeat the creature and was nearly killed. Luckily a group of huntresses were in the area having just returned from questing and they slew the hound just in time and brought the overwhelmed Elixabeth to camp. Having resided at camp for the last couple of years, Elixabeth has been able to find some solace in her new life and has done her best to put herself out there in an attempt to make new friends. Unfortunately, the trauma she endured and the loss of her parents left an unfillable void in her life and caused her to be wary of meeting new people and she often continues to miss Norway and mourn all that was taken from her.
