Scott was a business man. He had a meeting with a new dealer named Kaycee, who is also known as Lyssa. They had coffee together while discussing their new business project. Actually, it was supposed to be a meeting but as it turned out, it became a date. They were attracted to each other and were instantly in love. They started to date more often. One night, they slept with each other and Kaycee was pregnant.
The day after, Kaycee told Scott that she was pregnant. She also told him that she is the goddess, Lyssa. Scott could not believe it and thought it was a joke. But after one month, Kaycee left him, heartbroken and wondering why she left so quickly.
Eight months later, a baby was delivered to Scott's house. It was inside a basket together with a letter on a table in the living room. Scott was surprised to see the baby. He red the letter:
Sorry I left so quickly. You see, I really have a lot of work to be done. Me being a goddess wasn't a joke, it was real. This baby is ours. Take care of her
Scott took care of the child even though he didn't want to. First, he never expected to have a relationship with a goddess and now, he had a baby. He named her "Gru" after the grudge he had and "Mana" to go with it. He married a kind and loving woman named Angel who loved and also took care of Mana because she couldn't have a baby.
Scott barely even care about Mana but Angel raised her as if she was her own child. She bought her things she needed and enrolled her to a private school in New York, Manhattan.
Mana hated her dad. He never cared for her and he never had time for her because of his work. She works hard on winning contests to earn his attention but as always, all she got was nothing. At the age of ten, she was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. Since then, she's been having trouble behaving and reading. At the age of fifteen, she befriended a satyr named Anne. Anne was nice to her. he understands her and cares for her. Mana tells Steve about her problems.
Weeks later, while she and Steve were walking on their way home, a harpy attacked them, it was big but it was also slow. Mana was surprised to see Steve pull out a dagger from her big bag and started stabbing the harpy. Anne also pulled out a celestial bronze sword and gave it to Mana. Mana, not knowing what to do, she tossed the sword up into the air and it had struck to the neck of the harpy and it vaporized to dust.
They quickly got home to tell Scott and for the first time, he cared for Mana. He explained to her everything and told her to go with Steve to camp. She packed her things and she and Steve took a cab to camp. As they arrived safely, Mana prayed to Lyssa for the safe ride and she was later claimed by Lyssa.
