"Unfortunately, the clock is ticking, the hours are going by. The past increases, the future recedes. Possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting."
Jae-Hun is an 18-year old son of Khronos with a twin brother and son of Ananke, Jae-Hwang. In exchange for their parents' freedom from the wrath of Hecate, they served in her train for three years as her hounds. After Jae-Hwang was killed by the goddess of magic in an act of rebellion, his soul was made to share his twin's body. Jae-Hun, along with Jae-Hwang, is currently residing in The Sanctuary as a member of Civitas Popularis.
Personality
Note: Most of the time, it is Jae-Hun who is in control of his body.

Training at Camp Half-Blood allowed Jae-Hun to imbibe the concept of "kairos", as opposed to exhibiting a more nonchalant attitude back in Taiwan. He describes himself as an opportunistic individual who will not think twice on grabbing the chance when the time is propitious. On top of that, he inherited the trait of valuing time from his father, Khronos. Inasmuch as he despises tardiness and delayed plans, he has the faculty to adjust himself to these and devise a schedule to compensate for lost time. Likewise, he has a flexible mind and spirit. Although firm on his principles, he is not one to narrow his personal outlooks.

However, when he is put under stress, he quickly loses his focus when under such a state. As a result, he resorts to a more reckless fight-or-flight response, where his actions are either black or white. Jae-Hun considers this as a weakness of involuntary control. In order to recompense for this, he has a habit of traveling back in time in order to retrace his steps. In this way, he can see any details he may have overlooked as a result of a lack of focus, then plan his next action.

In contrast to Jae-Hwang, rationality is more dominant than emotions to Jae-Hun. In addition, he has a tougher and more upbeat disposition than the other. Even when they were still very young, Jae-Hun occasionally depends on Jae-Hwang's psychological judgment, especially when he senses that his shrewd arguments become insensitive and critical to other people.

As the twin who is more finely attuned to his emotions, Jae-Hwang is softer and more introverted than his hardy, vigorous brother. He prefers not to manifest his existence to other people unless Jae-Hun tells him to; setting aside the fact that it's his brother's body he is sharing with. From time to time, he offers advice to Jae-Hun but usually, he either teases him or makes comments about everything he does, much to the twin brother's annoyance. Nonetheless, Jae-Hwang's words speak wisdom and inner peace, which Jae-Hun badly needs when he loses his focus on things.

Jae-Hwang's emotional affinity makes him good at reading others. Being the more silent soul between him and Jae-Hun, he usually observes the people around him. This has been his habit ever since he was a child, which is why he can tell someone's mood with ease. In truth, he can sometimes point out whether the person is lying or not. He also has the tendency to talk "like a psychologist/therapist"--a perk that Jae-Hun uses when he's having difficulty conversing with certain individuals.

Because of his withdrawn attitude, Jae-Hwang tends to be submissive, fatalistic, and a pacifist. The latter trait seems to stem from his godly mother, Ananke, as opposed to Jae-Hun's more flexible outlook on life as the child of time. If the crises become too unbearable for him, he will most likely yield to whatever comes his way. The incident with Hecate, on the other hand, is a different story because it is his primal instinct (he was transformed into a rottweiler for three years) that caused him to act rashly.

History

Heo Su-Bin, already in his early twenties, decided to leave Camp Half-Blood in search of new paths. He has grown weary of nothing but fighting monsters, going on quests, and basically everything that concerned his demigod life. For a change, he headed for the bright lights of Las Vegas, bringing with him the fortunes he had received from his late parents. He wanted to start out small first: build and invest on a small bar, then add a casino, then a hotel and resort, and finally join the ranks of Sin City's tycoons.

It was sufficed to say that Su-Bin's inexplicable charm and profile earned him the admiration of Khronos and Ananke. However, since the two gods intertwined and formed the fabric of time and fate itself, they must always go together, lest they wanted to bring the universe into utter disorder. By whatever divine intervention, Khronos split Su-Bin's night at his casino into two timelines, starting from when he got drunk by several middle school friends: one involved having sex with Khronos, and the other one with Ananke. By the time these two timelines converged, Su-Bin would be surprised to find "twin" baby boys swaddled in fresh linen at his doorstep.

Su-Bin knew that the gods were behind the sudden appearance of his new children. As if that wasn't enough, his knowledge was justified even more when Khronos appeared to him in several dreams, telling him the truth of what had happened that night at the casino. Su-Bin wanted to escape from being involved with the Greek gods and, by extension, to hide his children from the truth. In a matter of weeks since Khronos' last dream message, he and the twins left America and started a new life in Taiwan. He named his sons with Khronos and Ananke Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang, respectively.

In less than three years, Su-Bin found himself a fine and young Taiwanese woman, Zeng Yahui. However, several years of marriage turned out to be a disappointment when the couple found out that Yahui was barren. It took her some time to get over her reluctance, but she finally accepted the twins as her own children. On the other hand, Su-Bin put up another casino using the remainder of his investments from the previous one in Las Vegas.

Ever since their birth, Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang had established an empathetic link between them. Whether this was the reason or whatsoever, the twins showed uncanny synchronicity and calculation in their thoughts, words, and actions. Considering the fact that they look exactly alike, they're essentially the same person, save for several complementing traits. Even Su-Bin and Yahui had a difficult time telling one from the other. I wouldn't bore you on the details regarding their childhood, though. They pretty much had a normal life like the other mortal kids: going to school, playing a lot, etc.

On a certain evening, the twins, now fifteen years old, were to be picked up by Yahui after a tennis game at school. Such was the event, until some of the spectators turned into monsters of varying species: a scythian dracaenae, several harpies, and even a cyclops. In a flash, Yahui ran for the monsters with a dagger at hand and efficiently killed all of them. However, much was her horror when new company arrived at the scene: the Train of Hecate. You see, Yahui swore a personal oath of celibacy while under the service of Hecate as a Lampade. Such was the case until she broke it to be with Su-Bin. She has been hiding from Hecate and her sisters ever since, fearing for her punishment. Luckily, neither Hecate nor the leader of the Lampades was present, so her judgment would be passed later. For the meantime, she was allowed to stay with her family.

Later that night, Su-Bin found out about everything that happened at school: from the monster attacks to Yahui's past. These forced him to tell Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang about the truth that they were demigods, with one being born from a homosexual one-night stand. Given the circumstances, he had no choice but to send the twins to Camp Half-Blood, where they would be safer and properly trained. Three days after the attack, Su-Bin personally brought his sons to camp. After that, he came back for Yahui to accompany her on the run from the Train of Hecate.

During their first summer at camp, Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang stayed at Hermes' Cabin because even though they were claimed by their respective godparents, Khronos and Ananke didn't have any cabin. Although they enjoyed much of what camp had to offer, they were too occupied by the status of their parents. Never had they received an Iris message nor a simple letter from them. That was the case until the near-end of summer, when they found out that Su-Bin and Yahui were transformed into rottweilers by Hecate.

Through a priest at the Bethel, Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang confronted Hecate and her Lampades about their parents and pleaded that they set them free. If it weren't for the twins badmouthing the goddess' nymphs, she would have heeded them. But, alas, their unruly behavior pissed off Hecate. Thus, she only gave them one way to resolve the issue: in exchange for their parents' freedom, the twins must replace them and become part of the Train. Without giving much thought to it, the twins agreed and disappeared into the night, leaving Su-Bin and Yahui back in their human forms. They hadn't seen the two demigods ever since.

For about three years, Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang, as rottweilers, wandered the night and the Underworld with Hecate. Unfortunately, Jae-Hwang has started to assimilate his canine forms' primal mentality. Night after night, his patience grew shorter because he wanted to be freed from his curse so badly. In a single act of recklessness, he bared his fangs and attempted to attack Hecate herself. Angered by his defiance, the goddess set Jae-Hwang ablaze with one of her torches. Jae-Hun tried to retaliate, but ended up getting burned as well. Deciding that they were of no use anymore, Hecate transformed them back to their human forms and left them in the middle of nowhere to die.

Not minding whether he would be heard or not, Jae-Hun prayed hardly to his godly father, Khronos, so that he would bring his twin brother back to life. Moments later, both Khronos and Ananke appeared before him in their mortal forms, hearing the young demigod's call. After much deliberation on the matter, Khronos, out of pity for his son, reverted time to the point when Jae-Hwang's soul still hadn't passed on. However, because the course of fate was altered, Ananke set her own price: in exchange for Jae-Hwang's resurrection, his soul must be shared with the same body as his brother's. Essentially, Jae-Hun's body would house two consciousnesses. As soon as the two gods disappeared, Jae-Hun collapsed.

After that fateful night, Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang, now in one body, wandered from town to town for several weeks. On top of accustoming to having two souls fighting over each other, the twins had to battle starvation by scavenging for leftovers. While looking for their dinner on a rainy night in Boise, they came across a certain member of the Broken Covenant, Cecilia Levine. After Jae-Hun told their story, especially about their past with Hecate, the daughter of Phlegethon deemed them worthy of recruitment. Shortly after their meeting, Jae-Hun and Jae-Hwang were brought to The Sanctuary and inducted as new members of the Covenant.

Heo Jae-Hun ~ Son of Khronos
Jaehun Trans

"Time is no one's friend--time has no social niceties and holds the door for nobody nowhere. But I hold the door for time, with my one good paw."
"Life isn’t really linear. Although it’s generally perceived that way. The stories we tell are woven like snakes around a divining rod. A center of time containing all that’s ever been told and heard. Remembered and forgotten. Lost and found. Our pasts, presents and futures are unwound, stretched flat, cut into pieces and held up with human arms."
Character's Bio

 Age: 18  Height: 6'2"  Weight: 154 lbs
 Sexuality: Heterosexual  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Las Vegas, Nevada  Main Weapon: Celestial bronze saingeom
 Accent: Slight Korean Titles: WIP
 – "The universe has become not only conscious and aware of itself but capable in some respects of choosing its path into the future--though all three, the consciousness, the knowledge, and the choice, are dispersed over a vast crowd of beings, acting both individually and collectively."

Character's Powers

Powers of a child of Khronos (has 3/6/9 month powers locked):

  1. Children of Khronos can fire accelerated time bolts at an opponent, the bolts would accelerate time upon an opponent and make them feel older. The target would feel the effects of age, growing weaker and slower. Leaving them vulnerable to attack, the bolts are somewhat difficult to aim and their effects only lasts for a short time.
  2. Children of Khronos can implant images of numerous possible timelines into a target’s mind, distracting them and leaving them vulnerable to attack. Ex: The target would see images of an apocalyptic future or one where the planet is ruled by an evolved race of apes.
  3. Children of Khronos have the ability to revert time around them for a short duration in order to dodge an attack that was unforeseen.
  4. Children of Khronos can create a field of energy around them, whenever anyone steps through it there are frozen in time. The user cannot move while the field is in place.
  5. Children of Khronos can see another person's lifespan, but cannot speak or tell anyone about it.
  6. Children of Khronos have the ability to look back in time to see the history of a person, place or object.
  7. Children of Khronos possess an ever present control over time, meaning they can think faster than the average human.
  8. Children of Khronos have an innately fine tuned sense of precise time. They can even determine the exact time an event has taken place or how long it took as long as they know that the event has happened.
  9. Children of Khronos can heal themselves by accelerating time on a wound. They can only heal minor wounds and slowly heal major, but not fatal wounds.
  10. Children of Khronos have the ability to call upon the forces of time to speed their movements or attacks; conversely this can also be used to slow the movements or attacks of others.
  11. Children of Khronos have the ability to travel back and forth in time, but they are unable to interact with or change past events they are only able to see the events play out. When they go forward in time they only see “possible” futures, that does not mean those future events will come to pass. When the user is time travelling, they cannot be seen, heard or touched by anything around them. The further back or forward the user has traveled, the more energy is drained.
  12. Children of Khronos can choose to see 30 seconds into the future, allowing them to uncannily predict the actions of their opponent. The more this is used, the more energy is drained.
  13. (will be unlocked 3/18/17) Children of Khronos can trap anyone or anything into reiterating time stream where where everything inside the loop is restarted precisely every so often, possibly even backwards. You may be able to force someone to relive the same few seconds, upwards to an hour, for as long as you keep them there. While the time loop is maintained the user is incapacitated and the longer the time loop is maintained the more energy it drains. On some occasions people have been know to retain a small amount of memories or eventually escape weaker temporal loops.
  14. (will be unlocked 6/18/17) Children of Khronos can turn temporal energies into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs (Such as animals or golems) and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence; however, only one combative item or semi-living construct can be conjured at a time and it cannot be larger than roughly twice the size of the one that conjured it. The longer they maintain combative items and semi-living constructs, the more it drains their energy, so they are more limited for the time they can keep these things cohesive.
  15. (will be unlocked 9/18/17) Children of Khronos can become an embodiment of time for a short time, a form where they are pure temporal energy. Keeping them immune from physical attacks in this form. Anything they touch in this form begins to rapidly age, organic matter the user touches age slower rather than inorganic matter. This form only lasts for a short time and when the user reverts, all organic matter aged quickly turns to normal and the user shall be too tired to even move for a short time.
  16. Children of Khronos often enjoy media involving time travel, such as “Back to the Future.”
  17. Children of Khronos normally see different future timelines when idle, but the child will have no idea which one shall come to pass. Ex: They’d be able to see a person’s possible future of where they become a famous celebrity and another one where they’re a homeless vagrant.
  18. Children of Khronos tend to be great at managing their time, hating the idea of wasting it.
  19. Children of Khronos can grow up to be great historians and futurologists.
  20. All clocks and any time telling device automatically tells the correct time of the time zone it’s in when it’s in the presence of a child of Khronos.
  21. Children of Khronos automatically know the current time in every timezone.

Powers

Offensive

  1. Children of Khronos are able to distort time on their bodies in combat, making themselves and their attacks appear extremely fast for a short time.
  2. Children of Khronos can release a wide-range pulse of chronal energy that freezes any inanimate objects it hits in time, locking them in place for up to a few minutes. This doesn't affect things that are being worn or carried by living things, like clothes, armor or weapons.

Defensive

  1. Children of Khronos have the ability to become briefly intangible; making them immune to attacks but also unable to attack naturally. Once used, they cannot do so again for a short time after.

Passive

  1. Children of Khronos can see a few seconds into the future; allowing them to possibly predict the actions of others, but also obscuring their sight at times.
  2. Children of Khronos have a superhumanly perfect sense of timing, able to act at just the right moment to have maximum effect.
  3. Children of Khronos are able to communicate with and command snakes.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Khronos can generate bubbles of accelerated time centered around themselves, up to the size of a room, making it seem like time outside of the bubble has slowed to a crawl. Conversely, to anyone outside it, everything inside the bubble will seem to happen extremely quickly. They can also make bubbles with the opposite effect if they wish, to place the area into a sort of temporal stasis. The effects immediately end if the child leaves the area.
  2. Children of Khronos can reverse time on an inanimate object they touch, making it retrace its movements. This can be used for a multitude of purposes, like making an arrow fly back to where it was shot from or repairing something that was damaged. The larger the object and the further back the reversal, the more this drains them.
  3. Children of Khronos have the ability to travel back and forth in time, but they are unable to interact with or change past events, only see the events play out. When they go forward in time they only see “possible” futures, that does not mean those future events will come to pass.
  4. Children of Khronos have the ability to “skip” themselves or objects they touch forward in time, causing them to seemingly vanish and reappear in the same place a short time later. This can be used for a variety of purposes, such as disarming a foe or evading attacks. Larger objects and further skips will tire them faster

3 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Khronos can create wings of chronal energy to fly with, which distort time with each beat. From the user’s perspective, every time they flap their wings, the world slows around them while they stay the same speed, making them a blur to others. It will not work if they’re just on the ground with the wings out; only when flying, diving, or doing other aerial movements.

6 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Khronos have the ability to truly travel backward in time up to a half hour; their past self exists separately from the timetraveling self, letting them effectively be in two places at once. This doesn’t give them the power to change the past - anything that they do while timetraveling was already part of the timeline. If they would cause a paradox by contradicting definite events (seeing themselves, changing events that were already witnessed, becoming the reason they timetraveled in the first place, or otherwise cluing their past self in to the fact that they will timetravel later, etc.) then the power will simply fail and return them to the present.

9 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Khronos can trap a large area around themselves into a reiterating time stream where time is reset every so often. Everyone inside may be forced to relive the same few seconds to an minute, potentially up to a dozen times. Only the user is aware of the past cycles, though others will retain memories as déjà vu. The user is continually drained the longer they maintain the loop, however, and start each iteration more exhausted than the last.

Traits

  1. Children of Khronos always know what time it is, even if they don't have a watch.
  2. Children of Khronos tend to get along well with Children of Ananke.
