Micheal Bass was a wealthy man who lived, alone, in California. Many a night, Micheal would find himself flirting with woman in local bars around town. One night, in a bar, he met a woman who he thought was "just his type"... to sleep with, he talked her into letting him take her to his house, and there they slept. She went home the next morning, barely exchanging words with each other. About a week later, while at work, Micheal got a call from the woman who he had slept with the week before, telling him that she was pregnant. He tried to tell her that it wasn't his, but she told him that she had barely left her house since that night, and couldn't have slept with anyone. He met her at the hospital the next day, and it was confirmed that it was indeed his. Eight months later she bore a boy, whom thy named Ian. She then told him the whole story about how she was a goddess and she couldn't take care of Ian blah, blah, blah. After the story, Micheal was in shock, but judging by the way she said it, he believed her (insane) word to be true. Micheal then went on the journey of parenthood!!</span>== In all honesty, the first two years after Ian was born, were Hell for Micheal. One night, when Ian was two, he hired a babysitter, and went to the bar for a drink. There he met another, stunning woman, he flirted with her as he did any woman, and it eventually led to him going to her hotel room and of course: sleeping with her. Again, one week later, he got a call, from another woman, explaining that she was pregnant. The next day, he went to te hospital, found that it was his, and he hated himself once more. Eight months later, his second baby boy was born. They named him Charlie. But once more he was told that he had procreated with a goddess (just his luck). So now, stuck with two demigod children, Micheal was in a new circle of Hell. In attempt to be a "good enough" parent, he would onl go to the bar every Friday to drink away his sorrows.
As the boys grew and their demands greatened, Micheal found himself with two teenagers who were very needy. He grew more and more depressed, finding himself at the bar more and more often. Ian and Charlie, now old enough to stay at home alone, found themselves spending most nights with just each other, many times they would spend days together, just themselves. One night Ian and Charlie, Ian was 12 and Charlie was 10, were alone again, not doing anything, while upstairs, both brothers heard a loud noise, of the door to their house being broken through. Both truly scared, they crept downstairs with metal baseball bats as protection, they came down to see a manticore. Not knowing what to do, they decided to hide and wait for it to leave. When the manticore finally spotted them it pounced and pinned down Charlie, and clawed at his arms, while Ian swung at it with a baseball bat, only leading to him suffering the same fate. Suddenly, as if from god(s), one of their father's security guards, now sporting some goat legs and hooves, busted through the door as well, playing a peculiar tune on a set of reed pipes. Suddenly, large, thick plant vines bustd through the floorboards. They sprang towards the beast and engulfed it until squeezing its life out of it and turning it to dust.
The guard took the boys into his car and drove them to the airport. Allthewhile telling them about their family history. That both of their mothers were different goddesses, and that that would make them demigods. He gave them tickets to NY and that someone would meet them there to take them to CHB. When they asked him about their father, he told them that he had passed, the cause: drinking. In grief, they flew to NY and then drove to CHB, which they have lived for the better part of 7 years. During one of their years at CHB, when Ian was 16 and Charlie was 14, the boys were alone one night, remembering old times. Something happened out of the blue, in the midst of all of the crazy childhood talk, and they did stuff... dirty stuff... When it was over, Ian thought it was just a one time thing, while Charlie remained attached to his brother a different way, that was not exactly reciprocated
