History History Darren Nocturne, a police officer and an ardent astronomer met Asteria in Boston. Darren caught Asteria's eye when he first met her at a bookstore. Asteria took the alias of Lucia Jackson and became friends with Darren. Darren fell in love with her afterwards. They began dating and a few months later, Asteria became pregnant to a baby girl. The baby girl was named Ishtar after Asteria's advice. She was named after the Mesopotamian goddess of love and war. After her first birthday, Asteria disappeared. Darren found a note on his house telling that she had to leave because of her parents and family. She put the girl to his custody. When Darren decided to take a break from his law enforcing work, Star travelled along with him to Switzerland when she was nine. While staying out to take in the coldness of air and watch the stars, Ishtar was attacked by two Stymphalian birds. Not knowing what to do, Ishtar ran into a log cabin which was making a strange rattling sounds. The birds flew away after a while. Darren and Ishtar later went back to Boston. When she was thirteen, another monster attacked. It was a Harpy. She was actually Star's History teacher. The harpy was starving and prepares to eat her. However, two boys saved him. Martin Fisher (child of Poseidon) and Allen (a satyr). Martin held the harpy off and killed it while Allen explained what was going on. Allen explained that she was one of the child of the Greek gods. Though she did not believed it at first but after more attacks happened (A Scythian Dracanae and a hellhound). It was then that Ishtar began to saw the existence of the Greek gods and goddesses. Martin and Allen asked about her strange events but she just revealed that she was previously attacked by two metal birds. Martin found Ishtar's godparent unidentified. When she arrived at the Camp, she saw a hologram of a falling star. She realized that Asteria, who was her mother.

Personality

Ishtar is capable of accepting responsibilities and do so willingly. Others expect her to be dutiful as a matter of course. She tends to get angry when people get rewards after not having worked anywhere near as hard as her. She is goal-oriented and an achiever by nature—she is proud of the tangible results in her work. She is not a fast worker, but she is quite thorough. She is known for being totally persistent, tenacious and tireless in reaching her goals. However, she can also be reckless and insecure. At times, she tends to have an annoying tendency to be self-righteous and preachy about her beliefs.

1. She has the ability to summon miniature stars which can be thrown like a weapon; the stars, however, dissipate quickly.
2. She has the ability to focus an intense beam of plasma which will burn anything it touches.

1. She has the ability to summon a cluster of miniature stars directly in front of her which can be used to block incoming attacks; the stars, however, dissipate quickly.
2. Children of Asteria have the ability to conjure a mock shield, made of very small stars, which can be used to defend from attacks; prolonged use may burn her.
