History Before Camp
Miranda Radcliff was an astonishingly clear-sighted beautiful woman, when men first look at her face they think that she would be a movie star or a model, but when in reality was a car repairer. One day while Hephaestus was out lurking in the mortal world he came upon Miranda's repair shop, she was so beautiful while repairing the car that he asked her out for some coffee. Miranda agreed because this man treated her well and the two went out to the nearby Starbucks. The two talked and they found out that they had some much in common, Miranda then invited the god to her apartment and that night Nathaniel was conceived.
Hephaestus regretfully left Miranda during the night, but left her a note about Camp Half Blood and how their child was "special." He also left her a watch that would turn into a Scythe that Miranda gave Nathaniel when he turned 10. He also left Miranda a celestial bronze knife just for safety purposes. In the morning Miranda woke up to see the god gone and continued on her life. In about 11 months Nathaniel was born to her, he was the pride of her life. He'd always come home from school and help her with projects. In school, he excelled wood shop and became the school's best crafter. The girls found him attractive but found it strange that he would work in a repair shop then do after-school sports. At the age of 11, Nathaniel was diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia, though he was still a top student at his school. One day when he was 13, he was coming back from school he was attacked by a harpy. His watch was swiped off by the harpy and it turned into a large Scythe. Nathaniel then used his instinct to slice the harpy to ashes. Nathaniel told his mother of the accident and explained that his father was a god and that he got to go to Camp. Miranda then brought Nathaniel to Long Island where they were greeted by a hellhound who headed straight for Nathaniel, Miranda who always kept the knife in her pocket grabbed the knife from her pocket and stabbed the monster while Nathaniel swung his scythe and together dissolved the monster. Nathaniel kissed his mother and made his way to camp. Nathaniel stayed at camp for one day and left the next day, his heart wasn't set in the world of monsters and greek mythology and with the permission of Alexander moved out of camp.
Nathaniel lived with his mother and during his years away from camp, they were attacked by simple creatures like harpies and hellhounds and easily slaughtered them. When his mother got married when he was 16, to a rich man named John. They dearly loved each other and Nathaniel finally got a real father. He persuaded Nathaniel to play sports and Nathaniel became a great football, soccer, and basketball player because of him. Then they decided to move to London, England because John wanted to be near his relatives and Miranda always wanted to live in England. But, Nathaniel didn't want to go, as he dearly loved New York. So, Miranda made Nathaniel stay at camp.
