James Chernikova was poor, his only job being at a dog shelter. He loved dogs, so he didn't mind. He was leading a huge black mastiff back to its cage when he saw a woman coaxing the poor things. They began chatting, and she helped him every day with the mutts. They began to date, and by accident, two years later, Lyssa gave birth to a baby girl who James named Pandora after the old Greek myth. After Lyssa disappeared, James was heartbroken but he quickly met another shelter worker, Maria. They began to date and married when Pandora was five.
All her life, Pandora's father only cared about his precious dogs and Maria, and paid Pandora no attention. Maria didn't particularly like Pandora, as she was a rebel and was somewhat moody. Pandora got suspended again and again, since she always did rebellious things to get their attention.
When she was twelve, she was at the shelter with her dad when a supposed pit bull became a huge, black hell-hound and attacked her. Had it not been for a nearby child of Hades, she would've died.
She was attacked rarely, though-monsters were rare in the hot sun of Australia. But she attacked quite a lot, each time surviving somehow with the help of nearby demigods. Finally, when she was 15, she got expelled-she had gotten into a fight with the older kids... again. James decided she had to go to a boarding school for troubled kids, and a lawyer came to their house, suggesting a camp for kids like her. At first, she was resentful as the lawyer pulled out a plane ticket to Long Island. But later, she found out it was a child of Themis, who had retired but still helped kids get to Camp. So Pandora arrived at Camp and was claimed by Lyssa.

General & Misc Info
Pandora is self-dependant and finds it hard for her to trust others. She acts bitchy sometimes, but most of the time she's just plain cold. However, she doesn't have any drop of arrogance/self-conceit-in fact, all she does is think about others. She has a great kind heart that shows itself often. She's secretly a hopeless romantic, and falls in love easily. However, she can't stand shitty happy-go-lucky attitudes and people who are so cheerful and bubbly it borderlines on creepy, so she particularly doesn't enjoy children of Hebe. She respects people who learns to handle her attitude and who respect her back, and sometimes her respect is grudging. She's a fighter and never backs down from a fight, and never lets any bastard hurts her loved ones. She's fierecely protective, like a mama bear. However, no matter how tough or bitchy she acts, she's a big old softie at heart.
