Park In-Su is a mortal who loves gardening. He had a green thumb and every single flower he tended to always bloomed. One day, a lady named Lily went to his flower shop and complimented on how lovely his flowers were. She then bought a couple and left. This kept happening for a couple of days and In-Su slowly started to fall in love with the lady. On the seventh day, In-Su finally got the courage to ask the lady out and Lily said yes. They dated for a couple more weeks and one day, they decided to take their relationship further and made passionate love. The next day though, Lily left him and a note saying why she left. It explained everything from how she's actually Persephone, the goddess of springtime, and that she will be pregnant soon with their child. There were also directions on how to get to camp half-blood on one page. A couple months has passed and one day, a package arrived for In-Su along with a baby that was wrapped in warm blankets in a basket. The package contained wireless beats that can morph into a bow. (Persephone told In-Su in her letter that their child will need this weapon for future monster attacks)
Park So-Yung had a well childhood. Many guys in school liked her because of her shy personality but she shot them all down since she didn't even know any of them. Besides that, school was alright for her. When she wasn't in school, she took archery classes (since she was 9 years old) as well as piano lessons because hr father insisted that So-Yung must learn to play at least one instrument. At home, she'd cook for her and her father as well as sing when she is by herself. She'd also help out with her father's flower shop and like In-Su, she also had a green thumb.
When So-Yung turned 13, that was also the time she had her first monster attack. A fire-breathing horse attacked her when she was walking around an empty park listening to some K-pop songs with her beats. She didn't know what to do since it all happened so quickly. But then Persephone's voice came in her mind and told her that her beats could change into a bow and a quiver full of unlimited arrows. So-Yung did just that and they morphed into the weapons Persephone said it would change into. She immediately shot three arrows and that disintegrated the fire horse. When that was done, she ran back home to her father and demanded to know what was going on. Her father just put on a puzzled face as if she was crazy or something but gave up as she kept asking him loads of questions. In-Su told her everything from her mother to the gods and goddesses of Greek Mythology. So-Yung gasped when she heard that she was a daughter of Persephone. From that day, she had mixed feelings about her father.
A year later, So-Yung turned 14 and she had her second monster attack. This time it was a chimera. Again, it was at the empty park she went to the last time the fire-breathing horse attacked her. Once she saw the chimera, she morphed her beats into her bow and arrows again and shot a couple of arrows at the beast. But this time, they didn't make the chimera disintegrate quickly like last time. The chimera got a chance to attack her since she was taking sometime to put three arrows on the bow string. She got scratched by it's claws which almost hit her vital organs. As she couldn't put the arrows on the string in time, she just stabbed the chimera with the arrow and it disintegrated. When she got home, her father saw the scratches from the chimera and asked what happened. She just shrugged his question off and told him it was no big deal. In-Su wanted to know so he forced her into making her tell him and So-Yung finally told him. In-Su decided to let So-Yung stay in camp for awhile seeing that the mortal world was too dangerous for her. So when So-Yung was 15, she stayed in camp (she was also claimed as a daughter of Persephone once she stepped into camp) for a couple of months and then was brought back home since she was more experienced with the monsters.
When So-Yung turned 16, she had her next monster attack. This time was with an Empousai a bit more difficult to disintegrate than the chimera and fire-breathing horse. Even though she was an expert in archery and and had one year's worth of training in camp, she wasn't able to disintegrate the Empousai just like that. It took a lot of arrows from her quiver to disintegrate the monster and she got a lot of scratches in the battle. When she finally disintegrated the Empousai (it took like... 15 minutes since it was just her), she went back home all battered and her clothes were all torn up. Since she definitely couldn't lie to her father about this, she told him the truth. In-Su then decided that even though she went to camp for a year, it wasn't enough to let her survive on her own. So In-Su told So-Yung that she needs to go back to camp again but she can come back home when she was 18. So-Yung agreed since she knew her father was right. In-Su and So-Yung packed her things and flew to Long Island to drop So-Yung at camp again where she would live there for two more years until she turned 18.
