Personality[]

Red is a very mellow person when it comes to most things. His calm and cool composure is the basic "default" state most people encounter him in. To others, Red is a very compassionate soul that is willing to help anyone in need if they just ask. His sense of humor always helps lighten up a room with laughs as he will do almost anything to get a chuckle out of someone. His compassion to help others by brightening their day is always positive for the young man. Red's isn't the top of his class but he's not anyway near the bottom. At an early age Red was considered gifted by the school he attended, only for him not to act upon it became quite lazy. He's often told that if he just put in the work then he could do amazing things with himself.

Red isn't always a good person though, he suffers from a past he really doesn't like to open up about with numerous physical and mental scars. Fear of getting help for past trauma has allowed a certain paranoia fester in the mind of Red that has pushed very close people away. Red can also be subject to outbursts of rage where he will yell and belittle someone if he feels scared and or hurt by the person in question. Red struggles to form lasting bonds with people including friends, partners, and family. It's rare if you get Red to trust you.

History[]

Red was born on the first day of spring in 2000, coming into the world kicking and screaming as most do. Unlike most, he never met his father and was told nothing about him the 20 years he's been alive. That rarely ever bugged the child as he believed all he needed was his Mother, so he had quite a normal childhood. That wouldn't stop Red from asking his Mother where his Father went before he was born. Similar questions were asked of his absent Father only to be met with her shifting the question or flat out refusing to answer. When Red reached Twelve his experiences in the world started to become weirder and weirder. He thought he saw shadows on his walls and heard people whispering behind him. Countless trips to a doctor proved that Red was perfectly healthy for a boy his age. The shadows and whispers never stopped though and continue to this day.

Red found out about his Godly side when Harpy attacked him in the southside of LA when he was on an outing with some friends. Being Thirteen and having a flying feathered lady screech and dive-bomb really did put a damper on Red's day. Her talons tearing at his arms and shirt while Red ran into alleys to escape the winged attacker left several scars lining his forearms and hands. Red thought he would die from her, having a raving feathered lunatic screech about demigods as she assaulted him. Red's arm bled onto the alley floor as he pushed back against his attacker, her feathered wings slapping against him as her talons continued to scratch up him damaged arms. As Red's strength was about to give, an arrow pierced his attacker through the chest, disintegrating the monster into dust. His savior stood down the alley as they fixed their bow on the dust pile on the floor, kicking it away with their boot before returning their nocked arrow into the quiver. This savior would turn out to Miel, a future best friend for the young demigod. Miel helped Red off the floor before helping him slink away from the scene of the attack. Miel told Red everything she knew about the Godly world, from them being Demigods to the monsters that would hunt them endlessly. At first, Red would not believe what the girl told him, but the realization that he was not insane and was really attacked by a monster out of Greek myths made him truly believe.

After bandaging up his arms Red returned home and confronted his Mother, demanding the truth on who his father was. Red's mother finally snapped, explaining everything that she hid from the boy. She met his father after her first husband died, meeting him in a bar where she tried to drink her sadness away. They flirted, spent a night together, and in the morning he was gone. Red's mother said he felt different, stronger than anyone she has ever met but so ever distant. She spoke of the only other time she saw him which was after Red's birth. His mother didn't speak on what happened with that meeting, only that she figured out what Red's father was and what Red was. Red embraced his mother with a hug, scared and confused out of his mind, but content that he had some answers. Red's life from there on was always in danger from occasional monster attacks. He and Miel stuck together like glue as they knew they could trust each other with the secret they were both forced to carry. The attacks grew in number and severity as the two got older, eventually leading to Red nearly being killed by a cyclops on a Junior year field trip to a marina. There Red and Miel decided that they need to leave, their friends and families becoming more at risk as they grew older.

At Eighteen, the two packed their things and left in the night in hopes to spare their families from the now constant monster attacks plaguing their lives. The young adults heard of a place out east from a satyr that tried to convince them to go, a place where they can be safe from the dangers that ruled their lives. For two years they headed out East in search of this place, surviving attacks from mortals and monsters alike. The two made numerous safe houses while they continued East, sleeping in abandoned homes and in the woods. Surviving monster attack for years taught the young man how to fight back with his knife given to him by Miel helped harden Red, making him dependable in a fight. After two long years of looking for the place of safety, they met another satyr that helped guide the two. As Red walked the hill to his new home he hesitated, worried if this place was a trap, a place where he will be devoured by a monster he didn't expect. Red stared at the crest of the hill, nervous to take another step forward. Miel nudged the young man in the back, telling him silently it was alright. Red swallowed his fear and walked to the top of the hill and stared excitedly at Camp Half-Blood, his new home.
