History Before Camp
Emma Hampton was 21 years old and drinking at a bar in celebration of finally being able to drink alcohol. While in her drunk state, she flirted with a man who appeared to be roughly her age. They talked with each other, and the man took her to her house. Emma was so drunk that she didn't even think about how the stranger even knew what street she lived on. The two had a one night stand. When she woke up, she found herself nude and with a huge headache from the hangover, caused by drinking too much alcohol, alone in her bed.
Three months into the pregnancy, Emma discovered that she was having a child, and so did the child's father, Aeolus. A few months later, she gave birth to a small baby girl, which she named Skylar with the influence of Aeolus. Her middle name was Amelia, after the great female pilot.
Emma was wealthy from being the CEO of a fashion industry. She hired the best tutors for Sky and made sure that Sky was kept very healthy and was very skilled at many things, including archery, martial arts, math, science, and a lot more. She also received dreams once in awhile from Aeolus who would try to explain to Emma what Sky was. Of course, Emma didn't think the dreams were real, and thought nothing of it.
When Sky was 9 years old, her visual cortex was damaged from a terrible biking accident. Sky only ended up with a minor concussion, but she was also blinded. Emma immediately hired tutors who specialized in blind people. She made sure that Sky's life wouldn't be changed by simply not being able to see. Sky was trained to use other things, like the wind, or nature, to 'see' instead of using her eyes.
Since Sky's scent was very weak, considering her father was only a minor god, her first monster attack, wasn't until she was 13. A couple months before the attack, a young adult had moved into the house next door. The young adult was a satyr who was assigned to be Sky's protector. His name was Alex, and he always wore a fedora, baggy, black pants, and a black vest with a white shirt. Anyways, Sky was arriving home from a brisk walk when she heard a loud growl from behind her. She heard the banging of the ground. BANG. BANG. BANG. She sensed something was wrong and started sprinting forward, trying not to run into anything or anyone. Suddenly, just as the thing was getting closer, she heard a clopping noise and then a smash. "Who's there?" she asked frantically.
"It's me, Alex. Right now we need to get you inside . I have to talk to you and your mom," a man's voice replied.
"Alright, let's go," she responded, walking towards the door.
Alex opened the door for her, and she thanked him. "Mom!" She called.
"In the kitchen, sweetheart," she answered.
They both walked to the kitchen to join Sky's mom. "Oh, hi, Alex. Can I help you?" she asked seeing Alex behind Sky, at first not noticing that Alex didn't have any pants on.
"Actually, Ms. Hampton, I'm here to help you and your daughter, Sky. You see, I'm a satyr, half-goat and half-human. I believe that you might have been getting a few dreams from Sky's father, Aeolus, the god of winds. Sky, here, is a demigod, half-god and half-human. I need to escort Sky to a camp, where it will be safe for her. She may later choose whether or not she wants to stay for the rest of the year or just come back in the summers..." Alex continued to explain about camp and Sky.
"This is ridiculous," Sky said. "There is no way, I am half-god, it's just not possible."
"It is too," Alex insisted. "Sky, have you ever done something or er, seen something that you couldn't explain? Like the time you were blinded from the accident. Do you know how the accident occurred in the first place?"
"The wind had picked up, and I couldn't control the bike, so, I skidded out of control into the sidewalk, and hit my head on the ground," Sky muttered. "But that doesn't really, prove anything."
"Before you were blind, you couldn't read properly because the words were all scrambled, and you also had and still have ADHD, right?" Alex said. "And you understand a lot of Greek writing and words before you could even speak English, right?"
She nodded twice. "And that big dog thing, earlier. The thing that almost killed you and made you a hellhound sandwich," he added.
"Alright, I believe you, I think," Sky said.
"Did you know that I'm not wearing any pants right now?" he added. "And that I have a goats hide."
Emma had noticed that Alex was pantless while the two were talking and stood a bit shocked. Sky hesitated. She had smelled goat fur earlier, but didn't think anything of it. "Here, reach your hand out. I'm holding my hooves out to you," he said.
She reached out and felt something rough and a but pointy. She felt the hooved-shaped feet. She also reached her hand up a bit and felt the soft wool of his goat fur that was normally covered by his baggy, black pants."Alright, I believe you," she said.
"Okay, let's get you to camp. We'll drive in my. My car has a few gadgets installed in case of emergencies, so if we run into any monster trouble, we won't have to stop," Alex said.
Sky nodded and followed Alex to his car. She climbed into the car. They drove off. Sky lived right outside the city, so it wasn't too long before they were in Long Island. Before they reached the camp entrance, two more hellhounds attacked them. Alex pushed a couple of buttons. Two long bronze spears extended out of the engine. Suddenly Alex slammed on the brakes, making the hellhounds run right into the car. The spears pierced the two of them and they dissolved into a yellow powder. Alex continued to drive and pulled up to the entrance. "Welcome to camp, Sky. I'm going to go tell Alexander that you're here. Make yourself at home, and you should make friends in no time," Alex said and then walked away.
Focuses more on surroundings and can detect enemies faster
Quests Been On
Children of Aeolus have the ability to create a small tornado, about the size of the user, which can be sent across short distances to knock opponents off their feet or used to send small debris flying at opponents.
Children of Aeolus are able to use air itself to slice objects, focusing a current of wind to the point where it takes on a sharp edge, which the caster launches at foes. Although this attack does usually slashing damage, some users are able to focus it into single piercing stab like a bullet.
Children of Aeolus have the ability to create a dome shaped torrent of wind, roughly two or three times the size of the user, which can be used to block attacks for a very short time.
Children of Aeolus have the ability to create powerful gusts of wind, however, the stronger the gust, the more it drains them. The gusts can be used to block incoming attacks.
Children of Aeolus feel stronger when they are touched by strong winds they did not create.
Children of Aeolus are innately able to lower air resistance and move faster on the ground, granting them an enhanced level of speed.
Children of Aeolus can contain more air in their lungs than the average human, allowing them to survive longer when they cannot gather oxygen.
Children of Aeolus have the ability to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them. Due to their rare ability to lower air resistance, users are able to fly faster than anyone else with the ability to fly.
Children of Aeolus have the ability to call upon the winds to speed their movements or attacks; conversely this can also be used to slow the movements or attacks of others.
Children of Aeolus can use the wind to either surround themselves to block enemies and projectiles or to surround an enemy trapping them within the winds. The longer they maintain the wind, the more it drains.
Children of Aeolus can curse an opponent by draining some of the air from an opponent’s lungs and make it somewhat hard for them to breathe for a short time. This leaves them vulnerable to attack or giving the user a chance to flee.
3 Months After Character is Made
Children of Aeolus can create a massive tornado, about five times the size of the user, which can be used to violently assault others with strong winds and debris.
6 Months After Character is Made
Children of Aeolus can turn the air into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence; however, only up to 3 combative/non-combative items or 1 semi-living construct can be conjured at a time and it cannot be larger than roughly 3 times the size of the one that conjured it. The longer they maintain combative/non combative items and semi-living constructs, the more it drains their energy, so they are more limited for the time they can keep these things cohesive.
9 Months After Character is Made
Children of Aeolus can shed their flesh and turn into pure wind, while in this state they are immune to attacks, can fly even faster than before and receive enhancements in their existing aerokinetic abilities. Once the transformation subsides, they are extremely exhausted. Barely able to move and could possibly faint.
Children of Aeolus are known to grow up to be amazing meteorologists, as they know all the current weather going on in a certain area.
Children of Aeolus typically enjoy flying and high places, enabling them to become astounding pilots and hot air ballooners.
Children of Aeolus are often claustrophobic when in tight places or underground.
Since their father presides the four directional wind gods, children of Aeolus have what could be described as a mental compass. Able to tell where the four main directions are most of the time.
General & Misc Info
"May the wind be with you."
Sky is a fun, humorous, open-minded, understanding, sweet person. She can also be a bit stubborn and impatient. Her physical fatal flaw is if she hears a ton of noise, it's hard to tell who's there. Her fatal flaw is her stubbornness. Sky can be really stubborn, which can be bad since she can't see, so she could deny that something is there, but really, it is
