 – "We are all beautiful in our own way, don't you think?"

Despite the winter season, the director decided to keep the spring season. With the wonderful weather outside, Priscilla decided it was a good time to go out for a walk like she always did when she had no hairs to fix nor dresses to design. She went out of the cabin with her hair braided to one side, falling down her shoulder. She had her light blue denim polo on with its sleeves folded to her elbows. She paired it with her long baby pink skirt designed with a few flowers by its end. The skirt extended to her legs almost reaching her ankles. She walked with her light brown ankle boots and brought her sling bag along. Since it was still early in the morning, she thought the view from the top of the hill would be magnificent and so she headed there. As soon as she reached the place, she looked down and saw all of Camp Half Blood. The view was breath-taking. She sniffed the fresh air as she stretched her arms feeling the newness of the morning. A smile formed on her face as she felt good about the day.

[[|Jake]] ~ Son of Deimos 怕

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to do what's right when you are terrified."
Usually, Jake has his Saturday spent with friends; however, a friend of his had a date in an hour, leaving Jake with snow cones for some odd reason. The son of Deimos, wearing a white v-neck shirt, orange shorts, and navy blue Vans, decides to find someone to share his blessing with. He eventually scans the faces of the nearby campers. Seeing most of them are busy with another individual, he takes notice of Pris and jogs up to her carefully, making sure not to tumble downhill; Jake then extends his hand, offering a snow cone to the daughter of Aphrodite. Snow cone?

Character's Powers

Powers of a son of Deimos:

  1. Children of Deimos have the ability to send a wave of terror out in front of them which causes anyone affected by it to imagine something they fear; the bigger the wave, the more energy used. This can leave them vulnerable to attack.
  2. Children of Deimos have the ability to unleash their battle-lust and fight to their full potential; however, they are temporarily blind to friend or foe and attack anyone nearby.

  1. Children of Deimos can become resistant to all types of physical attacks for a short time.
  2. Children of Deimos can send out waves of terror and fear that may paralyze an opponent and cause them to stop attacking for a short time. But the user cannot attack the opponent while the paralysis is in effect.

  1. Children of Deimos are immune to any senses of fear and terror, making it impossible for them to get scared and panic in battle.
  2. Children of Deimos are innately proficient in most forms of combat and hold a higher state of physical prowess.
  3. Children of Deimos emit an aura of fear and terror, making people at least slightly afraid when near them. They can turn it off for a long time if they wish.
  4. Children of Deimos know the fears of everyone around them, as well as how a person is likely to cope with that fear.

  1. Children of Deimos have the ability to calm the fear of others.
  2. Children of Deimos are able to project a person’s worst fears into their mind, causing temporary trauma and confusion into them. This power is only active for a short time, and loses some of its effect the more it is used on the same person.
  3. Children of Deimos have the ability to conjure a real version of someone's worst fears, however, the child of Deimos is not able to control the conjured fear and is susceptible to them as well; they are also drained of a moderate amount of energy when the fear is conjured.
  4. Children of Deimos have the inhuman ability to leap great distances at once which can be used to dodge or attack. Upon landing, a small tremor is unleashed which causes anybody within a few feet to lose their balance.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Deimos have the ability to focus on a person’s fears and mimic the abilities of that fear for a short time. If the user focuses on a pyrophobe, they will get some powers over fire. If the target is scared of a specific animal, they gain some abilities of the animal. (If the feared animal is a spider, the user will be able to generate webs from their wrists and crawl on walls.) And if the target is afraid of death, the user can drain some of their life-force and make them think they’re about to die. This power cannot be used to become incredibly powerful or instantly kill and the power can only be used once in a fight.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Deimos can turn the fear and terror of others around them into emotional energy and then tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence; however, only up to 3 combative/non-combative items or 1 semi-living construct can be conjured at a time and it cannot be larger than roughly 3 times the size of the one that conjured it. The longer they maintain combative/non combative items and semi-living constructs, the more it drains their energy, so they are more limited for the time they can keep these things cohesive. The fear constructs will terrify/scare anyone they touch.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Deimos have the ability to become a spirit made entirely of terror. In this state, they can change into a tangible form of someone or a group’s worst fear. The tangible form of the fear is the same size as that fear exists in naturally, is immune to all attacks, and the fear’s strength is greatly increased from its natural strength. The more the user is feared, and the more the form the user is in is dreaded, the stronger the user’s form is. The user can only stay in this state for a short time, after leaving this form, the user will be extremely drained, not able to move and could possibly even faint.

  1. Children of Deimos are known to hate the idea of losing people they care about.
  2. Children of Deimos typically enjoy fighting and combat, since their father is considered a war god.
  3. Children of Deimos normally love scaring people and watching them drown in fear and terror, making Halloween a special holiday for them.

  • Priscilla: She covers her mouth as she yawns but in the midst of the process, she is surprised to be met by a snow cone almost right in front of her face as soon as she opens her eyes. "Oh," she says with a flinch. The snow cone is so close that when she looks at it, she is cross-eyed. She then moves her eyes from the hand to the arm until her eyes land on the face of the stranger. With a look of disbelief on her face, she points at herself and asks, "Me?" She points at the snow cone. "This... is for me?"
  • Jake: Priscilla's yawn causes Jake to yawn as well; he covers his mouth with his free hand. By the time she asked her question, the Jake's attention was already shifted to her. The son of Deimos nods at Priscilla. I don't see anybody else. Saying with a light joking tone, he smiles affably.
  • Priscilla: It's not everyday that someone randomly gives you a snow cone but she just finds it rather odd. Anyway, the guy doesn't look like some kind of trickster but there's still a hint of doubt in her expression as she reluctantly takes the snow cone. "Thanks," she says to the guy. About to take a bite, she stops and then turns to the guy, "This isn't some trick Hermes kids pull on innocent demigods, right?" She squints her eyes at the guy leaning in so close that their faces are almost just a few inches away and she had to tip her toes to reach him.
  • Jake: The son of Deimos ends up helping Priscilla by leaning down towards her, chuckling at process. You should trust strangers more often, kid. After all, I don't look like a bad guy, do I? While staring directly into her eyes, he playfully arches a brow in question. After a few seconds, the close distance finally takes him aback. He then proves his point by feasting on his own snow cone. Huh. Bubblegum flavored. What did you get?
  • Priscilla: If she were like any other girl, she would've found their proximity awkward but then growing up in a convent where every human being is a girl, she's not so familiar with the male species and has always thought they're pretty much the same as the females. She knows a lot about the male and female chemistry but due to zilch experience, she does not entirely believe on the so-called sparks or magic. She stands back on her heels after the guy tastes his own snow cone and finally gets curious of what flavor she got. She examines it for a moment and it is pinkish red in color. "Hmm..." She quickly licks the snow cone and lets the taste linger in her mouth. "It's..." Her expression brightens. "Strawberry!"
  • Jake: As he continues to lick the snow cone, Priscilla's bright expression causes Jake to have his own gleeful expression. Since his friends were gone, Jake plans on getting to know this camper, who he bribed with a frozen dessert. Glad you liked it, Miss...?
  • Priscilla: With her naivety back on track, she answers the guy while she enjoys the snow cone, "Priscilla!" After a few licks, she smiles at the guy and says, "Thanks again for this. I didn't know it tastes this great!" She then asks him back, "And you Mister...?"
  • Jake: Jake. Jake Parker. HC down at the Deimos Cabin. The son of Deimos replies almost instantly. My friend left me with this before he went out on a date. He looks at the pleased daughter of Aphrodite. Now that I look at it, it's not so bad. He smiles to himself. So, are you a demigod or a nymph?
  • Priscilla: She shakes her head, clicking her tongue. "Tsk tsk... lovers over friends. Oh well." She just shrugs. After Jake said that it wasn't so bad, Priscilla just let out a wide smile slightly nodding, thinking it's all good. After a lick, she answered, "Demigod." Then she licked the snow cone again. "Daughter of Aphrodite."
  • Jake: What are friends for? Jake sighs. Hope he's all cool though; heard he's dating your half-sister. He laughs. Well, Aphrodite does suit you. He smiles; however, his smile disappears as he realizes what he just said. Oh! Don't take it the wrong way; I just thought you're really pretty. Wait, that sounds wrong too. Ugh.. I give up.
  • Priscilla: "Mmm interesting," she said nodding as she heard that Jake's friend is dating her half-sister. Quite busy savoring the snow cone, all she managed to say when he told her Aphrodite suits her was, "Hm?" Noticing Jake's struggle to find the right words, she just chuckles. She just took it as a normal compliment and did not put any other meaning to it. "You're funny for a son of Deimos, Jake." She adds, "Thanks, by the way." She rarely interacts with men like him and so it's not everyday that she receives compliments from them but then again, she thinks such words are as normal as girls flattering each other.
  • Jake: Thanks! I get that too often for comfort. Jake chuckles, remembering how he usually end tongue tied situations without a choice. The son of Deimos then looks at his watch, and it's a few hours before noon. Do you have anything to do in 3 hours? I plan on waiting for lunch, and it's not fun waiting alone. With a smirk on his face, Jake looks at her.
  • Priscilla: "No problem," she says as a reply to his thanks. She continues to lick the snow cone, now it has become smaller. Hearing his question, she turns her head to him and answers, "Nope, nope!" She flashes a wide smile at him, her lips as red as the strawberry flavored snow cone. "Let's wait for lunch together then!" she suggests as if that isn't what Jake is trying to imply.

OOC: am I correct to assume that that is what Jake wants to happen? :P just making sure so my post won't appear as godmodding xD

OOC: Wait, huh?o.o Here is Broken still thinking of lunch >.<

  • Jake: Jake's blue snow cone has been finished. With his lips and tongue blue, he realizes he should have taken the red one. I just realized something... I should have taken the red one. He laughs to himself. Looking around, Jake tries to spot a place they can stay. How long have you been in camp, Miss Priscilla?
  • Priscilla: "Hm?" She wonders what he's talking about while she finishes her snow cone then she laughs a bit after seeing that his lips are bluish in color. "That color suits you well," she jokes. She takes one last lick then the snow cone is all gone. "Done!" she tells herself as if finishing a snow cone is actually an achievemeng. "Anyway, to answer your question, I've been here for..." She counts the days, weeks she's been in camp. "Almost one month," she says. "By the way, before I forget, what is... HC? You mentioned it earlier."
  • Jake: The son of Deimos sarcastically smirks at her comment. Thanks. I'll look more hippy now. Do you have any Aphrodite powers to revert it to its original redish color? Jake smiles sheepishly at the request he's making. Haha. Anyways, that's great! What places have you not visited in camp? I'll take you there. The son of Deimos stretches from side to side, ready to go; however, her follow up question makes him try to remember his previous words. With a memory as good as his, Jake pauses a few seconds before answering. Oh, uh...sorry, it meant Head Counselor; like the guy who makes sure everything's alright inside the cabin. With his fist covering his mouth, Jake places on a thinking face. As I remember, your Head Counselor's...Lexi! He says proudly like an innocent child winning an award.
  • Priscilla: "Ooohh her!" she says. "Yeah, I know her! But haven't really talked to her." She shrugs. "Oh and for your lipstick problem, yeah. I can take care of that." She gives him a smile, confident in what she's about to do. She rubs her index finger against her thumb in concentration then with just a snap, the color of Jake's lips comes back to normal. "Ta-da!" She then thinks about his question earlier tapping her chin. "Uh... I don't really... well, I think I pretty much explored all the places here," she says putting her hand on her waist. "Unless, of course, you know a place that others don't?" she adds jokingly with a mix of uncertainty thinking whether there really is a place she hasn't gone to yet.
  • Jake: Thanks! A genuine face of gratitude flashes on his face; having a son of Deimos with shimmering blue lips isn't exactly terrifying. I know too many places people don't normally know exists: brooks, dark caves, sea caves, passages, bases. Jake crosses his arms, noting the brooks, caves, and hideouts from three years of experience; however, he doesn't find them that interesting, since he isn't much of a nature lover. Problem is.. I don't know what interesting activity we can do in them.
  • Priscilla: "Dark caves... brrrr!" At the very mention of the place, it sent shivers and chills down her spine making her feel her body all of a sudden turn cold and shaky as she hugs herself. "I don't really fancy such dark places," she says with all honesty. "Well, how about the passages? Maybe we could discover something? Um... find something interesting, perhaps!" she states as if it's the greatest idea. "You know, like..." She imitates the theme song of a very famous movie series. "Tun-tu-tun-tun! Tun-tu-tun! Indiana Jones!"
  • Jake: Priscilla's sound effects causes Jake to utter a small chuckle. Did anyone refer you to becoming a voice actress? The son of Deimos then ponders upon her words; being a son of Deimos doesn't give him fear, yet he doesn't want to bring Priscilla to harm, especially after hearing stories about the cave. There are a few who enter and don't exit the cave; are you sure about this? He says, adding a dash of terror in his words.
  • Priscilla: She laughed as well. "No, not really," she answered to his question regarding being a voice actress. Her enthuasiasm immediately dies down as soon as she heard how Jake described the caves. "Are you kidding me?" she says with a poker face. "I love adventures! Let's go!" Her excitement just returned as if Jake's tone in asking doesn't scare her at all.
  • Jake: At first, Jake expected the sudden death of Priscilla's spirit, nodding in agreement; however, Priscilla's revived enthusiasm surprises Jake, especially since she is a daughter of Aphrodite. You're not exactly the high maintenance type, aren't you? The son of Deimos laughs contently. That's good; I hate those types--they come too often. The counsellor then jogs ahead of Priscilla. Catching up yet?
  • Priscilla: She replied with a "Huh?" at Jake's first question. She scratches her head trying to figure out what he meant. Later, she then realizes it but he's already going ahead so she calls after him, "Wait up!" She trots up to him catching up.
