Ivan: He is sitting in a tree reading a book. It is a cold winter day and all the trees are bare. There is a crisp wind that is making it feel like it is freezing but he doesn't care.
Priscilla: Her braided hair falls down to one shoulder which is actually hidden beneath her light blue scarf. Since the weather is cold, she disregarded the notion of fashion sense for now and focused on keeping herself warm by wearing layers of clothes--a gray turtle neck shirt under a light brown coat paired with jeans and boots. She trudges along the thick snow keeping her hands tucked in the pockets of her coat even though she already has mittens.
Kitty: Kitty shivered, exhaling shakily. Her breath materialized into silver wisps that rose and rose until they disappeared to join the clouds. She made a mental to invest in a thicker jacket as her leather bolero was all she brought from home. A red long sleeved shirt peeked out from the jacket's short hem and from below a dark cashmere scarf. Thick fluffy socks were worn with her boots and over her jeans but she could still feel the biting cold on her toes. Maybe climbing a tree would get her body heat up. Kitty jogged towards her usual tree, one that she used as a vantage point for drawing landscapes, and saw someone sitting at the base of it. She tilted her head to the side as she silently questioned their presence before looking around to find another. She saw a girl, valiantly braving the field of ivory snow and politely waved at her.
Ivan: He sees the two girls making way to the tree shivering. After a short debate with himself as to what he should do he chooses to call down. "Hello"
Priscilla: Looking down the ground, she almost didn't notice Kitty wave at her but when she did, she immediately returned the greeting with much enthusiasm even though they were strangers. She just thought making friends wouldn't be a bad idea then she also saw someone by the tree but did not at all give much attention since he seemed to have his own world. Afterwards, she kept moving so she won't freeze.
Kitty: She whirled her head around to face the boy who called out. Kitty jerked her head towards the tree, inviting the girl to join her there. "Hey there." she smiled. "It's freezing out here! I don't know how you can sit there. I have to keep moving to keep myself warm." Kitty let out a breathy chuckle, half-laughing, half-sighing from the cold. "I reckon it'd be more pleasant to read by the fire or something."
Ivan: He jumps out of the tree. "Yeah, it is really cold up there so much colder than Texas" He starts to go and find some wood for a fire. "I will go get us some stuff to start a fire with. He smiles brightly
Priscilla: The stranger invited her and she gladly accepted it trying her best to run to them as she struggled to keep her feet out of the thick layer of snow. "Wha-- cold! Cold!" she would always say as she took a step. When she got to them, she both greeted them with a warm smile. "Hello to you too! May I ask why you guys are out here?" she asked rather surprised.
Kitty: "That'd be great. But can we even burn a bonfire out here? I know that only happens down by the diving pavilion." She glanced around and saw the girl approach them. "Hiya!" Kitty grinned through her chattering teeth. "Oh, I know, it's freezing. I was just out for a walk, hoping to warm up. "I'm Kitty, by the way. Kitty Winters which is ironic as hell since I don't particularly enjoy the winter. Well, it's just the cold I don't like." She chuckled, unfurling one of her arms to run a hand through her long curtain of oaky hair before crossing her arms again.
Ivan: He starts gathering medium thick logs and twigs he finds on the ground. He turns back to them. "I don't know but we can sure as heck try, I am Ivan by the way down where I live winter is about 60 degrees enjoying life on the Gulf of Mexico." He puts all the logs onto the ground and organizes them. He then takes one log and lights the end of it with a lighter and uses it to light all the others. "There we go I think it is going to work" he smiles. "You two get warm I am going to try to go out and get some more stock of wood"
Priscilla: She shivered and her teeth were also chattering. With a shaky voice she replied, "I'm Priscilla!" She attempted to smile but her lips quivered and immediately she closed her mouth. Then she turned to the guy who just introduced himself as well. "Nice to meet you, Ivan! I'm P-Priscilla!"
Kitty: "Nice to meet you both!" She grinned. "I've lived in New York all my life. I've still never ever gotten used to the snow. You'd think that it'd be easier since I was born near here and all." Kitty laughed, shaking her head as she stood by the small flame that was slowly growing as more wood fed it. "Ooh, that's kinda nice." She hovered her hands above it.
Ivan: He comes back with more wood in his arms. "I got more wood" He feeds the fire all sides evenly until it is of a good size. He then stores the spare wood on the other side of the tree and sits next to the pair of ladies. Wiping his slightly red nose he says "the snow is quite deep I almost got buried. He then hears a bunch of snapping sounds from the hill nearby. "Is it just me or do I hear a bunch of trees snapping nearby."
Priscilla: She rubbed her hands together and breathed on them to keep them warm then she went near the flame joining Kitty. The fire grew big as Ivan fed it with more wood. She felt the heat intensify. "Oooh that's nice," she said in relief. After hearing Ivan said about trees snapping, she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Huh? Where?" She looked around to check.
Kitty: Kitty furrowed her eyebrows. Anyone trying to move around that surreptitiously would normally be considered a threat, right? But they were at Camp. No6 one but other demigods and nymphs here. Perhaps just someone trying to manouevre through the powdered forest in silence. Her hand flew to the handle of her barbed bullwhip reflexively once she heard the tree branches snap herself. She made a conscious effort to remove it from there and slowly left the warmth of the fire to walk towards whoever it was out there.
Ivan: "Over there" He points to the snow covered hill that is coincidentally covered in a thick layer of fog he slowly pulls out his celestial bronze reaper and looks in the general direction. "If you two are too tired I will go and investigate" He gets a concerned look on his face and wipes snow off of his shoulder as the snow fall picks up slightly
???: "Um... hello? Is this things working?"
Priscilla: The seemingly familiar voice startled her and got her attention diverted from the people she was currently with to a projected blurry image. Her eyes widened in surprise as soon as the picture began to get clearer.
???: "Mic test. Hello? Priscilla, is that you?"
Priscilla: "Adriel!?" she asked in utter surprise. "Where are you? Uh-- What's with the Iris Message?"
Adriel: She let out a nervous chuckle. "Sorry Pris," she said in a slightly embarrassed manner. "I'm here in the forest. Need help with something. Mind if you come here?" she asked. "Um as in now is the best time to go."
Priscilla: She just nodded and did not question her sister further. "I'll be right there, sis. Don't worry."
Adriel: "Thanks, Pris. You're the best." She gave her sister one final smile before she waved her hand in front of the mist, disrupting the connection and ended the message.
Priscilla: "Sorry guys," she said turning to her two companions. "Family calling. Gotta go. See you around you two!" She waved at them both and then headed off in a rush.
Kitty: She raised an eyebrow at the Iris Message. Seemed urgent, whatever it was. "Sure thing! See you later! If you need a hand with anything, we're here!" Kitty called out after Priscilla as she disappeared into the forest. "That was odd." She murmured, standing over the fire again. "Wonder what was up with that."
Ivan: "Yeah that was weird" He has a concerned look on his face. "Should we go investigate the hillside or do you want to move somewhere else?"
Kitty: "Nah, it seems personal, whatever it is." She shook her head and rubbed her hands together over the warmth of the fire. "I think it's best we just leave them to their business. And I'm alright here but we'll move if you want." She shrugged.
Ivan: He once again brushes the snow off of him. The snow has lightened some but camp was still a complete ghost town. He goes and gets some new logs for the fire from the pile he had and stokes the flames before sitting down next to her and warming up his hands. "What should we do now?"
