[[|Amani Geoffrey]] ~ Dream's Angel
Ella 1

All of our dreams come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
{{{1}}}
Character's Bio

 Age: 17  Height: 5'7  Weight: 117 lbs
 Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Toulouse, France  Main Weapon: CB whip and sword
Accent: American (with a hint of French)
 – If you ever feel alone, don't. You were never on your own.

Character's Powers

Powers of a Daughter of Morpheus

Offensive[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to create dream-like illusions of attacks so realistic that they are most likely to catch an enemy off guard; however, if they miss they are left vulnerable to counterattack.
  2. Children of Morpheus can absorb the dreams of others for a short time, removing their memories of them and empowering the user to be faster and stronger. Once the enhancement subsides, the target will remember their dreams if they wish to do so and are immune to further use of this power for a moderate time.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to make someone think they are seeing their worst nightmares brought to life for a short time; attempting to scare them into not attacking. The user cannot attack while they are using this power.
  2. Children of Morpheus have the ability to cause a person to day dream as if the child of Morpheus was a friend, causing the person to no longer desire to attack them for a short time. If the user attacks while the day dream is in effect, it will instantly stop working, so the power is purely defensive.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Morpheus often receive the current thoughts of people in the surrounding area while asleep. They can turn off this ability if they wish.
  2. Children of Morpheus heal faster while they are asleep and dreaming.
  3. Children of Morpheus are partially conscious while asleep, able to wake themselves up at will.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to send a small wave of energy which will cause anyone affected to fall asleep and enter a vivid dream for a short time; after the effects have worn off, a person is immune to further effects of this for a moderate time. If the user wishes, the wave may just force the target into a vivid daydream for a short time. This will require less energy, but will have the same limitations.
  2. Children of Morpheus have the ability to look into people’s dreams as they sleep and even manipulate them as they wish.
  3. Children of Morpheus are able to astral project, they can use this for multiple reasons, however, their physical body is vulnerable and they can not effect anything on the physical plane while astral projecting.

3 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Morpheus can create dream-like illusions in order to twist other's perception of reality or make everyone around them see something that isn't really there. However, the illusion isn't physical and therefore is only a trick of sight. The bigger the change in perception, the more power drained. They can also confuse single individuals in the same fashion.

6 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to manifest a small shadowy creature to fight alongside them for a short time; the shadow takes the form of whatever a person’s worst nightmare is when they fight it, however, it is smaller in size if the thing from their nightmares is large. They can command the nightmare and can create up to 3 copies of it, it cannot be bigger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user and doesn’t wield any extraordinary abilities. Ex: the nightmare can fly if the target’s nightmare is something winged like a bird. But if it’s a dragon, it may not breathe fire.

9 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Morpheus are able to transform the surrounding area into their own dream-world, an alternate reality fabricated from the user’s dreams. The dream-world will take any appearance the user desires. Anyone within 30 meters of the user will be trapped within the dream world as well. Within it, the user can fly, teleport, are able to create psychic constructs and are immune to all attacks. They’re also aware of everything happening there. After a short time, the dream-world reverts to a normal environment and the user is left incredibly drained. The user will not be able to move and could possibly faint.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Morpheus are normally well adept at interpreting the dreams of others.
  2. Children of Morpheus often tend to be daydreamers, with their heads always in the “clouds”.
  3. Children of Morpheus typically love dreaming, able to master the concept of “lucid dreaming” at a young age.
  4. Children of Morpheus sometimes accidentally enter other people’s dreams when sleeping.

Roleplay[]

Amani: She should be meeting with someone right now. Yet it seems like she couldn't find that certain someone. Sighing, she walked back to her cabin, grimacing all the way. Then she spotted some of the flowers that she remembered were a nymph's heart. Amani smiled and went near it, gazing at the bunch of sweet-smelling flowers. "Shame to you, Kaito," she said.

Damon: Damon, who was late for a meeting walked by Morpheus' cabin. As he did, he noticed a girl gazing at some flowers. He cleared his throat, "Excuse me? I'm so sorry I'm late. I won't make this into a habit. I promise." He grinned throughout this whole exchange.

Amani: She looks up and finds a taller boy. Totally someone she never saw. She tilted her head to one side, and said, "Um, late? Late for what? Oh, are you the new guy?"

Damon: He frowns, "Yes I'm new. Just arrived actually. I needed help getting a feel for my powers. I heard the children of Morpheus were great mentors." He looks up as Blaghden appears, carrying a mouse in his beak. Blaghden lands on Damon's shoulder before saying, "Blaghden thinks she could help you, she seems to have herself together." Damon silently agrees.

Amani: "And I thought Athena's kids are better," she said, crossing her arms over her chest. "Pretty bird you got there." She extends a hand, smiling. "Amani. You?"

Damon: Blaghden throws the mouse up as he tilts his head back swallowing it whole. Damon shrugs, "Athena is the goddess of wisdom, so it makes sense. Well I guess my info broker isn't always right." He finishes with an annoyed look at Blaghden. He takes her hand, "Damon, What a pleasure, and he is a magnificent bird, as long as you can't hear him that is."

Amani: She laughs. "Wonderful. Nice to meet you, Damon." She puts her hands on her waist and looks around. "Anywhere you want to go to practice? But remember, I may not be as good as you expect. Sorry if I ever become an inconvenience. Wait a second." She turns around, taking a hairtie, and pulls her hair into a ponytail. She turns back. "Okay. How are you?"

Damon: Damon thinks for a sec, "What about the arena? Unless you have a better place. How could you be an inconvenience"? He raises his eyebrows in mock surprise. He pauses as Blaghden says, "Blaghden will be leaving you alone for this "little practice time" He has something to take care of." Damon replies with a slight grin, "Fine just be back before nightfall." Blaghden spreads his wings, but right before take off says, "Okay young buck, will do."

Amani: "Arena, huh?" She watches the white bird fly away and looks back at Damon. "Which one? There are lots of arenas here. Take your pick."

Damon: Damon smiles, "You're the "Master" here, you should choose." He chuckles a little on the word master.

Amani: "Master, huh? Well, I thought I'd give the rookie an advantage, but I guess I'll have it. Hmm . . ." She strokes her chin, choosing. "How about the earth arena? Since you seem like the kid who likes fights so much, it'd be better to have a wide, empty area. Who's your god parent?"

Damon: He cocks his head to the side, as he crosses his arms, "The earth arena huh?" He looks at her, trying to gauge her physical abilities. He notices she's smaller and shorter, so he should have the advantage strength wise. The unknown, is her skills with a blade, and her powers. "To answer your question my mother is Eris."

Amani: "Goddess of discord, huh? Guess I got the fighting thing right. Earth arena is perfect." I don't know his skills, so I can't act confident that much. Who know, he might be a kid of a serial killer. Please don't be like Haiden. she tells herself, thinking about the new guy she just met who turned out to be a deadly assassin. "Let me lead you there, then." She starts walking, not waiting to see if he'd follow. "So, what's your fighting specialty?"

Damon: Begins walking as she turned away. "Can't really provide that information can I?" He says with a hint of laid-back confidence. "I'll tell you that I have no idea how to use my powers, at all." She seemed a little nervous. Maybe she isn't all that powerful like she says. Doesn't matter, I get to spend my day being taught by a beautiful girl.

Amani: So not like Haiden. Thank the gods. "I see. So it'll be about your abilities, then? I mean, you can practice swords and bows and arrows and things like that. Abilities, on the other hand . . ." She turns and points at Damon's forehead. " . . . comes from there, and - " she jabs a finger at his chest, "- and here. They work together. One wrong decision, and that can be someone else's fatal strike at you." She continues walking.

Damon: "I see." he said. "So, basically what you're telling me is that, I have to discover how to operate my abilities on my own?" He grabbed the apple on his necklace. That's not good. Not good at all. He goes ahead and pulls off the silver apple, a shield now in his hand the length of his torso. He asks, "Is there anyway to speed up that process?"

Amani: She raises a brow. "You can speed it up if you're determined enough to control them." The sound of metal clashing tells her that he must have some weapon with a mundane form, but she didn't look back. In a split second, she took a dagger hidden beneath her shirt, turned, and took a strike at Damon, careful not to wound him badly. A shield. Perfect.

Damon: Damon sees Amani shoulders tense right before she grabbed her weapon. He saw the attack coming, so he did the reasonable thing. He raised his sword, (Since raising his shield would throw him off balanced) to block the strike.

Amani: She smiles, saying "Good enough" before revealing that her free hand has its own dagger, millimetres away from Damon's neck, her arm under his sword arm. "Working with powers sounds good, right? Guess you know what I did." She steps back and sheathes the daggers.

Damon: He grins, "Morpheus, is the god of dreams. I'd say you have power over what I see or hear. If I had to guess, you made an illusion of the initial attack, while attacking me when I was vulnerable. Dammit, Damon you can't fall for that again. Had she been an enemy you'd have been killed. This will not do. She's good, better than she let on.

Amani: "Don't be disappointed. You're new, and your reflexes are pretty good; much better than I had been." Because he's a kid of Eris, dang it. Still . . . how old is he? She follows the rocky path to the arena, kicking stones she deems ridiculous. "To be honest, you have the advantage when it comes to these things - not inlcluding the abilities. You just have to work it up; simultaneously, don't depend on it too much."

Damon: Damon pauses, If she says that I have the advantage, but clearly just overpowered me, then what does she mean. Does she mean I'm a better swordsman? Or that when it comes to combat my abilities are going to be better. As these thoughts go through his head he keeps his facial expression blank. He asks Amani, "If I am to proceed, then I need to start working right away." He had a look of the deepest hunger possible in his eye. As if hungry for her to try it again. A hunger to prove himself.

Amani: "Be thankful you didn't end up training with some people there. They're merciless." She decided to ask him, "How old are you, by the way? Being always in a hurry is bad for the health."

Damon: "14, though I turn 15 in a couple of weeks." He leans on his shield, the sharp side stabbed into the dirt. He glances at her, taking in her beauty. She catches him staring, but he keeps his face blank. She'll just think that I'm sudying her like before. Not actually thinking about how cute she is. He raises his eyebrow, "What about you?"

Amani: "Fourteen?" Fourteen! He doesn't look fourteen. Just the height takes it all away. Anyway . . . "You're still young. Don't be such in a hurry. Time is important, yes, but use it wisely - not so fast and not so slow." She stares back at him, taking in everything. "Hmm, strength may be your greatest asset, but who knows? Surprise the enemy." She jerks her chin at him. "Lift your sword and fight me."

Damon: He does the opposite, instead of attacking with his sword he attacks with the shield. He attacked in a way that would force her to dodge him left. While she dodged left, he feinted by swinging his sword in a overhead slash, then bringing the hilt in a strike at her thigh.

Amani: Now, let us see how he unleashes his power. She won't fight. She will annoy him, that is, to trigger his abilities to wake up. She runs to one side, while the 'she' that Damon sees moves the way he might've thought she will. So that's his plan. I feel like playing today. She shows herself after his stunt, clapping slowly. "Catch me, son of Eris."

Damon: Shocked at how easy she read his moves and tricked him, Damon starts to get mad. Not realizing that Amani wants him to get mad, he tries to calm down. He took a couple deep breaths, before beggining a new series of attacks. He tries to stay wary of any more tricks that she might play, but isn't successful.

Amani: "Don't give up just yet, Damon!" her fake self shouts behind him. "Use what you need other than your weapons! Think and feel it, Damon!" another of her image shouts from his left. Her real self was leaning on a tree, invisible to him as she waits for him to do what she plans him to do.

Damon: Where is she? From the last two times she tricked me. She never put herself in danger. From that reasoning I can dismiss the possibility that the one behind me and to the left of me are the real ones. Now that I know this, it's all about appearance. I need to let her believe I'm ignorant. If I had those  powers, I would let my oppenent tire himself out, while I stayed in a position of safety. Damon swings his sword behind him, then rolls and strikes at the fake Amani to the left. "Come out Amani!" he growls. Really starting to lose his temper.

Amani: She giggles to herself. It is indeed working. She lets another image take daggers and slash at Damon while telling him to use something else.

Damon: Damon sees Amani slash at him with her daggers, he side steps and trips. As he falls Amani (the image) stabs downwards with the knife. I've had enough! Damon close to the end of his patience, focuses a beam of chaotic energy at the stomach of the image. The beam went straight through the mirage and hit a tree, warping and burning the trunk. Damon immediately felt drained. His arms became almost dead like. He felt as if he ran the length of New York. Damon grins sluggishly. I just used my powers. One step at a time. I'll be closer to making my mother proud. It takes all that he has to stand back up.

Amani: She feels somewhat a bit drained, but not much than what can make her vision blur. She keeps herself invisible, and makes the other images walk towards Damon. She joins them, giving him the impression that she came from different directions. Now showing her real self, she rests on her legs and smiles at him. "Well, anger does the trick, really. Guess let's use your emotions first to trigger them."

Damon: "Food!" Damon moans. "I need food. I'm so hungry." he laughs. "How are you able to use your abillities that many times and not feel tired or drained?".

Amani: She laughs at him. "After months of training, dear demigod. It teaches you how to stay unwavering the hard way. But I still feel drained, though not much as before." She offers a hand. "C'mon. Before the arena, the mess hall sounds so much better."

Damon: He takes her hand, and pulls himself up. He sighs, "Well that's just more training that I have to do." As he looks up he notices Blaghden watching from a branch. Blaghden laughs in his thoughts, "Young buck she just treated you like a ragdoll." Damon glares at the bird, Well I underestimated her. It won't happen again. He wills the shield to go back to pendent form. As he slides the pendent on his neck, he looks at Amani with sudden curiosity,"What's for lunch?"

Amani: "Hmm . . . Well, you get to choose for yourself, so I'm not really sure what's up for lunch each day. Just order something that will replenish you . . ." She smiles wickedly. ". . . then we'll continue our little match. Up for it?"

Damon: When she smiled Damon lost all logical thought for a moment. His only thought was that he'd like to see her smile like that again. He stuttered, his face reddened. He realized she must've seen the look on his face. He dipped his head, "Sure I could go for another round."

Amani: She smirks and grabs his hand. "Don't look so gloomy, for goodness's sake. C'mon, I can't wait for the next bout! It's been forever since I last had fun on this." She slightly pulls him, urging him that they take a dash.

Damon: He let her drag him along. Out the corner of his eye he saw Blaghden following from just under the tree tops. Blaghden wishpers into his head, "The Young Buck has some attatchments to this girl!" Damon realizing that his emotions can now seep over into Blaghden's concious, he gained control of his emotions. Gathered himself, and calmed his demeanor. His stomach rumbled.

Amani: They reach the roofless pavilion and she shows him to a table. She sits on the bench, gesturing the seat across to Damon. A silent nymph walks to them and places two goblets, one for each of them, then leaves. Another immediately sets down a tray of fresh bread and cheese, some apples and stawberries and grapes, and then she leaves. Amani breaths in the fragrant aroma. "That's just so good. Now, if you need a drink . . ." She takes a loaf of bread and cuts a slice of cheese. " . . .just tell the goblet what you want and it'll give you just that. Try it."

Damon: "What? You're serious?" He looked at the empty goblet. "Uh okay?" He said unsure of himself. Damon thought Amani was trying to make fun of him, and thought he would play alone for now. "Tea." Brown liquid filled the goblet. "Oh so you were serious!" He sits down laughing. Damon looked at Amani with a raised eyebrow, "How do I get food then? "

Amani: She gulps down the last bite of her bread and cheese. "Now, now, Damon. The trays and plates are not enchanted like the goblets." She waves her hand at the tray in front of them. "These are your food here! Healthy foods! Apple juice, please." Her goblets fills with gold liquid and she drinks it all in a huge gulp. "Ah, that was good!"

Damon: He looks at the food with distaste, "There's no meat! How do you survive?" "Blaghden steal me a steak or something. Please." He returns a few minutes later with a well done steak. Damon cuts off a piece and gives it to Blaghden as he wolfs down the rest.

Amani: "No meat for snacks, boy," she comments. "That will be served for dinner." She takes a few grapes and eats them one by one. "So, how'd you find your way here? And that white bird of yours . . ?"

Damon: He raises an eyebrow, "Boy? My story isn't really complicated. I got through school, kicked out a few times. Met some friends, they taught me how to make a few simple scrap metal bombs. I came home one day, and got attacked by a hellhound. I defeated it with the help of Blaghden. My dad panicked brought me right away. Blaghden followed and warned border patrol. They came and helped when I was ambushed by dracanae. Lastly here I am. What about you?

Amani: "Mine's a bit complicated." She eats a piece of cheese. "Got abducted when I was young, then sold as a slave in India. Some attack happened, and I was shipped to Thailand together with other refugees. I ended up in a temple and the monks took care of me. One knew what I was, and he taught me stuff, then told me to go here. A party found me there and I was brought back to my mom in France. A year later, I came here and had been here since then." She grins. "Not that bad, eh?"

Damon: He raises his eyebrow, "You were abducted and sold as a slave? Even without the other information. That's far more complicated than my story." He grins, "well at least you're here now." Damon stands after eating a piece of bread, bows then offers his hand, "You ready?"

Amani: She smiles at him. "What a gentleman," she says, taking his hand and getting up from her seat. "Oh, wait." She let's go for a moment and finishes her juice. She turns back to Damon and takes his hand like it was a while ago. "Let's go?"

Damon: Damon starts to leads back to the earth arena. He smirked, "I'm not letting you beat me this tme."
