Roleplay!
Jocasta: Walking lightly through the forest, Jocasta felt none of the cold as her heritage kept her warm. Thank you, father, she thought to herself. She brushed a frosted branch aside and continued to wander, careful not to step on a single root or let her deep green cloak snag on the branches.
Amora: With the limited technology that does actually work inside camp, Amora was making use of it and had an old iPod touch linked to her amp and was playing it as loud as she could, from the walk to the Bethel to the camp, not having a single worry about the monsters that could be attracted to the sound
Jocasta: Jocasta raised an eyebrow at hearing faint singing and drums. Who on earth would play music in the forest? She turned and began walking towards the source cautiously.
Amora: She put the speaker down, turning it up as loud as the it could go and started dancing around, copying some of the moves she saw dancers do before she left for camp
Jocasta: Coming closer, Jocasta saw a young girl dancing happily by a surprisingly loud speaker. Leaning against a tree, she smiled slightly and watched, admiring the dancer's footwork.
Amora: When she spun around, Amora got a quick glimpse at a girl leaning against a tree. Amora beckoned to the girl to dance with her.
Jocasta: Jocasta's eyes widened. "Oh! Um, I don't, um..." Unfortunately, her quiet stuttering was completely drowned out by the loud music. "I... I don't know how to dance..."
Amora: She could easily pick out from all the noise the girl's voice. "It's easy." Amora said, copying the girl's voice.
Jocasta: Luckily Jocasta could read lips, or she never would have known what Amora had said. "Aren't you worried about monsters with all the... um... music?" She called out. Between the thumping bass and the spirit of Dodona in her head she was beginning to get a headache.
Amora: "Not really. I feel stronger with music. Plus music does soothe the savage beast." Amora said as she twirrled around in a circle, before sound travelling right next to the other girl
Jocasta: Jocasta jumped, grabbing her sword and almost slashing at the other girl before she registered what had happened. "Oh gods!" She let go of her sword, but was clearly on edge. She took a deep breath. "Um, so who are you?"
Amora: "Just the priestess for the nine Muses," Amora said as she leant up against the tree. "Nam'es Amora, if you haven't heard about me."
Jocasta: "Jocasta, Oracle of Dodona." Jocasta was a little... offput, to say the least, by the new girl. Well, the Nine Muses kind of explains the music. Her thoughts were interrupted by a powerful pulse of pain which caused her to grab her head and wince, and an instinctive sense that she should return to the grove. Internally, she groaned. Of course now you want me to return to the grove. Could you give it a rest, Dodona?
Another sudden wave of pain told her that no, Dodona wouldn't. Jocasta doubled over, squeezing her temples.
Amora: Amora quickly knelt down next to Jocasta. "Are you ok?" She looked around for anything that might help, but saw nothing
Jocasta: Jocasta shook her head. "Just... loud.;.." She massaged her head. "Please... off..." Dodona was not a fan of loud music, apparently. "Dodona can be a jerk."
Amora: Amora rushed over to her music and turned it off. "Is it hard having Dodona in your head?"
Jocasta: The pressure on Jocasta's temples eased. "Very. She's... let's just say she's a little posessive. Strong-willed. A lot more direct than other Oracle spirits."
