Character's Bio

Age: 14  Height: 1.66 m  Weight: Why are you asking?
Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Singe, not looking
Birth Place: El Paso, Texas  Main Weapon: Labyrinth-shaped ring/Celestial Bronze spear
 Accent: Texan

Character's Powers

 1.Offensive

-Children of Ariadne have the ability to cause someone to believe that they are trapped inside a labyrinth, disrupting their senses into seeing anything else for a short time. While under its effect, they become more vulnerable to attacks.

-Children of Ariadne, while a labyrinth is summoned, have the ability to create 1 to 3 lesser monsters (those classified as “easy” in the Monster Encyclopedia) nearby them within it; these monsters, however, will not be controlled and will attack anyone they see.

2.Defensive

-Children of Ariadne have the ability to create a large portion of a labyrinth wall to protect themselves until it corrodes after a short time. The walls can be created at all directions to create an absolute defense, but drains more energy from the user. Conversely, this can be used to imprison enemies.

-Children of Ariadne can cause a person to feel/be lost, as if they don’t know how to reach their desired destination and wander off aimlessly which may induce distress, confusion and loss of concentration, for a short time. The effect can be used on a larger number of people, but drains more energy.

3.Passive

-Children of Ariadne have the innate ability to find their way through/around any sort of puzzle, maze or obstacle without any aid, as if they have a psychic compass within them. They are also able to perceive any kind of hidden obstruction, trap or dead-end within a 10 meter radius around them.

-Children of Ariadne have the innate ability to see in multiple directions at once, allowing their senses of sight to become more finely attuned to their surroundings.

4.Supplementary

-Children of Ariadne have the ability to create a real labyrinth which traps anyone inside it for a short time. The user has total control over the creation, such as altering and closing its walls or even expand the maze at any time. However, a larger maze will consume more energy from the user. The maze has a roof over it and cannot be teleported out of.

-Children of Ariadne can conjure a very durable wool string that can be used to navigate around a place, mislead or ensnare victims, bind or strangle enemies, hold or suspense things firmly, weave fine cloth or in any way possible. The longer the string, the more energy it drains. The string can also be conjured from the ground or from any surface.

-Children of Ariadne can increase or decrease a person's passions, whether the purpose is to weaken one’s will to fight, or to motivate them to do a certain hobby or to love, etc. The longer this state is maintained, the more energy is drained from the user.

-Children of Ariadne are able to teleport themselves through the mazes they created. The further the distance traveled, the more energy drained.

Jillian and Delilah: A Quick Encounter[]

Delilah: She was sitting next to the Big House with a notepad, sketching the view.

Jillian: Nursing a bit of a headache, Jillian walked around camp, shivering a little and holding her head. I hate nightmares...  She'd previously woken up in the night screaming, and couldn't get back to sleep. So far, her morning could definitely be better. After wandering a bit, she looked around and saw the big house, and another girl nearby. Jillian tensed.

Delilah: She looked up and saw someone wandering nearby. "Hi! This is one nice view, isn't it?"

Jillian: "Yeah, it's really pretty..." Jillian fidgeted. "I've never seen it before. It's beautiful."

Delilah: "You should see the view from Half-blood Hill. That one's the best at Camp."

Jillian: "I'll definitely take a look." Her legs shook a little. "Um... could I sit by you? I'm really sorry, I don't want to bother you. I'll go if you want. I'm sorry." She flinched, almost as though expecting to be hit.

Delilah: She raised an eyebrow. "Sure, you can. You know, I don't usually kill people for sitting next to me."

Jillian: Blushing slightly in embarassment, Jillian sat down carefully. "I'm sorry. I'm just really nervous. I, um, had some nightmares about things last night." She looked down. "I'm supposed to go to the Infirmary later for them to see what's wrong with me." She glanced at Delilah. "How did you stay calm when everything was new at first? I just... I'm sorry, I-I..." She stuttered and stopped talking.

Delilah: Delilah looked at Jillian. "Hey, it's all right. Everyone was once new to all this. This is the best place we could end up in. Honestly, I'm not here fo so long either. Even though I'm lieutenant counsellor, I suspect it's mainly because no one else wanted the spot." She laughed. "Really, nothing to worry about. The nightmares come and go, you'll get used to it."

Cassie and Jillian: New Year's Eve![]

Cassie: She was skipping around Camp, excited about the fact that it was New Year's Eve and singing all songs she knew. It was a bit of an overreaction, but Cassie couldn't help it.

Jillian: Stepping out of the Infirmary, Jillian was in a very strange mood. Having just been diagnosed by several Apollo kids was a bit disconcerting, to say the least. She spotted someone skipping fast, happily singing something unintelligible, and she smiled. Jogging over to match their pace, with a little bit of trepidation, Jillian waved. "You seem cheerful!" She called. Wow, I guess the kid with the calming powers did the trick... why am I not more nervous? Is this what it feels like for everyone else when they interact with people? Deciding not to question it, she smiled. "Excited for the new year?"

Cassie: "Even more than always! It's going to be a new year at CHB, and that means new friends, new parties, new life-threatning quests! What's not to be excited about?"

Jillian: The smaller girl almost giggled. "Yeah, here's hoping it'll be nice. I'm still pretty new here, so I don't know very much about camp and quests and things. Or people. Or um, much about being a demigod or the gods or generally everything crazy so far..." She gestured around herself at the whole camp. "But things are looking up for the new year! At least I've met a couple of people. And everyone is so nice so far." She slowed her pace to a walk. "Do people celebrate much? Oh yeah, um, sorry if I'm weird. That kid in the infirmary calmed me down with something or other so I'm, like, actually not terrified of everything for once." She grinned.

Cassie: "I heard the Dionysus kids are throwing a party, but I'm not sure about that. And you're not weird, you're talking to a person who loves strawberries so much that stalks the strawberry bushes in winter!"

Jillian: "Sounds more adventurous than me. I normally sit inside and cuddle my little brother. And try not to shiver." Jillian's face suddenly fell. "I hope he's ok..."

Cassie: "Sure he is. Well, demigods' families are much safer when they're not around so... And hey, it just came to me, since Ariadne's my mum, and she and Dionysus are married, does that make me and the Dionysus Cabin in-laws? Am I going to a party at my in-laws'? Awkward."

Jillian: A smile came back to Jillian's face. "I think one of the Apollo kids said something about your godly side not counting when it comes to relatives. I wouldn't worry." She suddenly giggled excitedly. "Well, normally I would, because I worry about everything. I don't know what those Apollo kids gave me, but I feel amazing! This is... so strange and fun and cool and awesome!" Her final few words came rushing out all at once.

Cassie: She laughed, feeling that she's starting to like Jillian. "That's the spirit! We'll make you a party girl soon. I don't know if what they gave you wasn't too... dope... I don't think so, however. Nah, that was just a silly thought."

Jillian: Jillian shrugged. "I don't know what they gave me. I forget what the name was. It was just some really nasty drink that they said would make me feel better. Tastes like disgusting liquid fire, and they made me drink a whole bottle of it, but it made me all warm, and I don't feel scared now!" She suddenly staggered to one side. "Whoa, jeez. Almost fell for a second there." After regaining her footing, she kept walking, swaying slightly and smiling.

Cassie: She was just about to keep chattering when she noticed the way Jillian walked. She remembered something. Oh gods. How could she ever trust the Apollo kids now? "Hey, Jillian. Sit down, okay? Apollo's Cabin may have given you, er, something that wasn't exactly medicine."

Jillian: The younger girl giggled. "It works though! Why do I have to sit down?" Suddenly, while swaying back a little, she tripped over her own feet and fell unceremoniously onto her butt. "Ok, I'm sitting down." She smiled. "You're nice. I like you." She hugged Cassie's nearby legs.

Cassie: Memories of some rather specific neighbors back in Texas flooded Cassie, but this wasn't the right time to think about that. She had to do something. The situation was really awkward, and Cassie had never had her feet on the ground, so she had no idea what to do. The Apollo kids were clearly irresponsible (look who's talking, said something in her mind), and she wasn't a healer either. Who could help? Having heard something about healing magic before, she decided to take Jillian to Cabin 20, a.k.a. Hecate.

Jillian & Railee: Trust me, I'm the Doctor[]

Railee: All her siblings were having fun with their friends already, and Railee was still in her Cabin, prepping for the New Year's Party. She didn't want to appear underdressed, but well... when escaping a goddamn orphanage she didn't exactly bring fancy clothes. Fortunately, one of her half-sisters was kind enough to lend her a dress, which Railee was ironing at the moment. Suddenly, she heard someone come in. Curious, she looked out of the room she was in.

Jillian: Giggling for no particular reason, Jillian stumbled into the Hecate Cabin, and saw another person looking at her. "Hi," she managed to get out. This is is so weird. Wheeeee. She took another step, and then immediately fell and faceplanted on the floor. "Are you the doctor girl Cass said to find?" She said, her voice muffled by the floorboards. "I think I need help. I feel weird. But happy." Jillian looked up with effort and smiled. "Wow, you're pretty!" Her face flopped back down onto the floor.

Railee: Oh gods, this was awkward. Can't she just have one normal, fun moment in her life? And was this girl high? Railee eyed her suspiciously. No. She had seen high people before, and this wasn't the reason. But... memories from Mexico started showing up in her mind unexpectedly. The girl was behaving like Martinez. Specifically like a drunk Martinez. Trying not to run away as the memories of the owner of her former orphange, Railee frowned. "You're drunk, dude. How the hell did you manage to do that at Camp?"

Jillian: Jillian rolled over and sat up. "The Apollo kids gave me medicine when I was scared to make me feel better, and I think it worked because I'm all happy and weird! But Cass looked at me weird and made me hold onto her and then made me come over with her and said to find a doctor girl called Ree-Something. Are you Ree-something?" She looked over towards Railee and suddenly looked concerned and a little sad. "Aw, you look scared. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you scared." Jillian curled up a little, looking embarassed and maybe a little scared herself. "Are you ok?"

Railee: Railee was very slightly concerned, but whatever, she was never known to take anyhing seriously. She had actually heard of magic healing, she could as well see if she could do it, right? "Okay, let's do it. Sit somewhere and leave the magic shaman-thing to me." She wouldn't blow the girl's head off, after all. Probably.

Jillian: Jillian's eyes widened. "Magic? That's awesome! Ooh, ooh, what are you going to do?" She stood up unsteadily and almost fell over immediately. "I think I'm a little dizzy." She lurched into the nearest doorway, and after a few unsteady steps collapsed on a random camper's bed. "What's your name again? You're pretty."

Railee: A w k w a r d... "Sit down, ese. I have to concentrate to do magic, okay?" 'Damn, I used Spanish again', Railee's mind noticed and she sighed. "And could you please get off Pearl's bed and sit on a cushion? I don't want trouble from my roomies, okay? Now be quiet. I'll have to clear my mind..." That wasn't how magic worked, she just ripped it off Star Wars (one of those movies orphanage kids steal tickets for), but hey, magic has to be mysterious! And why the hell would they say she's a doctor? Someone had probably mistaken her for one of her sisters. Ree? Maybe she meant Valerie?

Jillian: The smaller girl got off the bed and sat down on a nearby pillow. "Sorry Ree." Her eyes watered a little and she looked down. "Are you mad? I'm sorry." She seemed scared and sad all of a sudden. "I'll be quiet. You're the médico. I'm sorry." She kept her mouth shut, still swaying a little while trying to stay sitting up.

Railee: If Railee was already pretending to know healing magic, she could as well have some fun. She started doing a weird hand-waving thing- another movie... Scarlet Witch from the Avengers, probably?- and humming something under her breath. Trying very hard not to laugh (and not to make the melody she hummed resemble The Runaways), she closed her eyes and let a small smile show up on her face (it was supposed to look mysterious, but probably didn't).

Jillian: Jillian looked closely, intimidated and still a little teary. "Please don't hurt me... I'm sorry..." She whispered under her breath, closing her eyes.

Railee: Railee almost let out a maniacal evil laugh, but it would be too much. She was pretending to heal the girl after all, so she shaked her head. Hopefully that would tell Jillian that she doesn't want to hurt her. While still trying to keep a straight face, she contiued to hum the melody she was making up and to do the hand waving thing. The humming soon became singing out loud, and she finally stopped moving her hands and opened her eyes. "That should be it!" she said happily. "How do you feel?"

Jillian: Almost as if in response, Jillian started to cry quietly. "It didn't work." She shook a little, beginning to panic. While drunk. "I'm scared, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry," She sobbed. "I did something wrong didn't I? Please don't be mad, don't hurt me, I'm sorry!" Her impaired mind couldn't register that she was probably scaring the other girl, or making her worry, or anything - which was definitely a bad sign. She'd normally be able to shut up before she said anything showing too much of her past, but with decreased inhibitions, 'normal' was out the window. "I'm sorry!" She curled into a ball.

Railee: Man, this girl had some serious problems. Railee felt a little stupid now, as she knew she didn't do anything (unless you count some great acting). "Hey, ese, maybe you should get some rest. Come on, go to your cabin and stay there this evening, okay? It should help." She extended her hand to the girl.

Jillian: Jillian nodded, still crying, but took Railee's hand. "I don't want to be alone, I'm sorry, please don't make me go alone... Can you come?"

Railee: Railee just came to terms with the fact that she's not going to the party. It was too late already. She sighed. "Okay, let's go. Hold on, okay?" With that, she helped Jillian though the door.

Jillian: The younger girl wiped her eyes, trying not to fall while holding onto Railee. "I'm sorry... You're all nice and I ruined everything..." She kept crying. "And it's New Year's and the Apollo kids were supposed to help and I got sick and now I made you miss things because I couldn't find Ree I mean Railee and you're probably mad at m-" She suddenly doubled over in pain. "Ah!" She clutched her stomach.

Railee: Railee tried her best to make Jillian stand. "Hey, just hang on. We're gonnna get you to your cabin. Er... which one is it?"

Jillian: "A**... Star dude... Astraeus? Is he called that?" She held her stomach as the two walked (kind of). "Are you mad at me? I'm sorry." She stumbled, but kept walking. "I'm scared you're mad. I don't want people to be mad. I'm sorry."

Railee: "Astraeus", Railee mumbled under her breath. Finally, she had a goal. And having a goal was what she liked. There was just one problem. She had no idea which Cabin was Astreus... Everything looked like it was time for a game of architecture guessing.

Jillian: "Are you mad at me?" Jillian seemed terrified. And maybe sick. And definitely intoxicated.

Railee: Railee finally lost her patience. Not like it wasn't inevitable. "Ugh! How many times do I have to say, I'm not mad! Just... just tell me which Cabin you live in! And stop asking me stupid questions!"

Jillian: Jillian yelped at the sudden yelling and tore away her hand from Railee like she'd been burned, falling backwards. She scrambled farther away and threw one arm in front of her protectively, and another over her face. Fully sobbing now, she shook uncontrollably, scared out of her mind, panicking as flashbacks of terrible memories took over.

Railee: Aaaarghhhhh! When will this end?, Railee thought. She ran towards Jillian, her hand extended. "Hey! I didn't want to scare you, ese! Come back!"

Jillian: In between hyperventilating and tears, a few words from Jillian were audible - barely. "Don't - hurt - me - I'm sorry -" she gasped. Her vison swam and she began to get dizzy.

Railee: Railee grabs Jillian's arm and starts pulling her towards the Cabin somebody pointed her to as Astraeus in the meantime. Why does it have to be so far away? The pulling isn't very gentle, but Railee doesn't have the strength to carry the younger girl.

------Time Skip-------------

Jillian: A couple of days later, Jillian's head still hurt. Gods, why did this have to happen... She was feeling thoroughly embarassed and ashamed for how she'd acted.

She read through the letter she'd written one more time: Dear Railee/Ree,

I wanted to apologize for New Year's Eve and how I acted. It wasn't fair to you at all. The Apollo Cabin might have gotten me drunk under false pretenses and I had a panic attack while you were trying to take me back to the Astraeus Cabin, but that's not an excuse. I'm sorry for ruining your night.

Hopefully chocolate helps. I hope you don't hate me. I'm really really sorry for everything.

- Jillian

With a sigh, Jillian snuck up to the porch of the Hecate Cabin and sealed the letter. Looking around and not seeing anyone, she put a large chocolate bar on top and turned to walk away.

Railee: A few minutes after reading Jillian's letter, Railee slipped a small piece of paper under the Astraeus' Cabin door. Hopefully the other girl would sort out who wrote it.

Well, one of my sisters told me that the party sucked wasn't that great anyway. Care to join me for practice? Nothing makes you trust people more than them constantly trying to stab you friendly competition.

OOC[]

Flopfish3: Sorry if I'm not initially writing at my best, I'm still a little out of it and trying to get back into the swing of things. Thanks so much for RPing with me! Feel free to take the plot wherever you'd like it to go!

Dirael: Hi! I've started a new rp. I feel like CHB could use a New Year's Eve celebration.

Flopfish3: Plot twist... maybe those Apollo kids aren't so responsible when they're partying on New Year's Eve? (Poor Jillian...)

Dirael: Cool idea. Picking it up.

Dirael again: I started a new RP, as Hecate kids do have some healing powers. And since Railee was never known to be very responsible, it might be fun.

Flopfish3: Ooh awesome idea! It's perfect how the last RP leads right in. Will you have Cassie bring her in?

Dirael: No, I'd rather just have a Jillian POV about what she thinks of all this ;)

Flopfish3: Ok! I'll get on it.

Flopfish3 again: Jillian's emotionally all over the place, but maybe she'll start making a little more sense on the way back to her cabin... She's been through a lot. But in the end, she really wants friends and to not be lonely. (She'll probably be incredibly embarassed about everything once she's sober)

Dira: Hey, you read my IM? :)

Flopfish3: I'm really really sorry for taking so long to update. The story was beginning to feel a little too much like a real-life situation that happened (not drunkenness! I've never been intoxicated in my life), and I wasn't sure where to go without the situation getting worse for both characters. Hopefully it's ok that I did a time skip? It's the best way I could think of to continue and maybe even fix things between Jillian and Railee.

Dira: So since I think we agreed to do some practice with Jillian and Railee, I've made a page for it.
