Kalena and Kora[]

  • Kalena: Of all the dumb things Kalena has done, volunteering at 2am to walk down to New Athens to pick some snacks up from the corner market to restock for movie night by far takes the cake. She should have let Beau do it. She might be the lesbian top, but he's the dude of the cabin. The Head Counselor, too. Hath he no shame? Apparently not. So, of course, Kalena went down decked out in light armor, swinging her sword to look as menacingly as possible as she strolled down the poorly lit streets of the city. She just wanted snacks. Why couldn't they have prepared better? Or better yet, why didn't Camp have a mini market? Ugh.
  • Kora: Kora had just returned from a hunt with Tobias and Monroe. Least to say, she could not sleep. So, she took off during the night, being as quiet as she could getting down from her attic room bedroom, and headed towards inner town - Maybe something would be going down at 2 am! The Nightclub is still open, right? But when she saw a figure swinging a sword in the darkness, Kora freaked and, of course, stepped behind something, keeping an eye on the being.

Vera and Rhys[]

  • Vera: Vera, since returning after her mother's health scare, had been spending most of her time in the lake. Vera had never actually told her mother where she was during the time she had gone... And she had started to regret that decision, so she ended up spilling everything to Tamsin. Tamsin took it surprisingly well, really. But she did try to completely prevent her from going back. Eventually, Vera had 'ran way', though she does text her mother, just to make sure there's no scandal when she returns. On that note, Vera heard her phone ding and came to the conclusion that it had to be Tamsin. So, from the bottom of the lake, Vera propelled herself up and her head over water, moving to the shore and towards her phone.
  • Rhys: Rhys was in the woods because he'd been monster hunting, which had for the most part been successful. His cabin had a monster hunting training session in the forest later that week, so he wanted to brush up on his own skills before he undertook the tedious task of ensuring none of his siblings died because of Alexander's questionable cabin activities. He was, consequently, covered in dirt and monster dust, which he wanted to wash out as soon as he could. He briefly contemplated the lake, hence why he was on his way there, but remembered about halfway through that that wasn't generally acceptable, given the nymphs that lived there. It made him falter for a moment, but he continued his way down the slope anyways when he heard the water swishing slightly. Someone was there, and he was curious if it was another monster he could slay.
  • Vera: Vera pulled herself up, and sat herself on the towel she had lied it out on the floor. Drying her hands off first, Vera pulled up her phone and unlocked it, getting to her mother's message, and playing it aloud. A ginger but firm voice could be heard - "Vera, I realize you never listen to me, but as your mother, I should have a say in where you stay! You're not eighteen yet!" The blonde hair visibly shook her head as she replied, setting a recording as response - "I turn eighteen in less than a year. This is not me running away, mom! This is me discovering a part of myself you refuse to show me!" Vera pressed send, a bit angrily, and threw her phone to the side. Clearly, Vera hadn't felt any presence, so she continued to just sit there for a moment with her head in her hands. Not sad. Just incredibly irritated.
  • Rhys: Rhys hears the voice just a second before doing anything stupid. He already had his sword out, ready to pounce on whatever he saw in the lake, but he recognized the second woman speaking. Maybe not the first, but the second was enough for him. His shoulders sag and he chuckles lightly as he moves around the bushes that had been shrouding him. "Hey, sis. Everything good?"
  • Vera: The unexpected voice made Vera jump a little, and she flipped her head over to where the voice came from - To see her half brother. Almost immediately, she chilled, setting her head back down on her knees. "Hey Rhys. I'm OK, my mom just really wants me to come home and.... I don't want to go home."
  • Rhys: "I get that. With everything that's going on, I wouldn't either," Rhys admits, shaking his head slightly. "D'ya wanna talk about it? Or just want some company? If not, I can go, no problem. Just... wanted you to know I'm here if you need me," he adds, with a half-smile.
  • Vera: "No! no, I'd... I'd love some company." She answers, returning the half smile. "In fact, please, I would love to chat about it." Vera added with a chuckle.
  • Rhys: He's happy to oblige. Even though he isn't a fan of getting overly emotional, his half-siblings aren't all that bad, and if he can help one of them objectively, he will. "Alright, then!" Rhys smiles, taking seat on the ground next to her. "Speaketh now."
  • Vera: "Well... My mom." She chuckles a bit. "She had some health issues, which is why I left for a bit... But I don't know, it's like... She didn't want me to go in the first place, and she tried making me stay again, and... I just want to protect her and she's not letting me."
  • Rhys: Rhys, bless his heart, tries understanding what the problem is, but fails. "You want to protect her... but you don't want to go back home?" He quirks an inquisitive eyebrow. "I'm not sure I'm following you, sis."
  • Vera: She laughs. "Oh, you know, being half-god, the whole hellhound and monster thing... The more I'm around her, she more danger she's in."
  • Rhys: "But... monsters don't attack humans," Rhys frowns. Sure, there's the mist, but monsters typically don't attack mortals out of the blue. Especially if there's demigod meat around. "Or is your mom a demigoddess, too?"
  • Vera: "They do if they are in the way," She replies, looking over at him with a frown. "My mom freaked when I first got attacked by a Telekhine. She wouldn't dare leave me be now, not after she got a near death experience." She stares at the water for a second. "They don't attack her if I'm not around, which is why I want to stay away."
