Roleplay[]

Red: The days grew longer as the summer sun hung lower and lower in the evening sky. A strong scent of the ocean lingered on the beach and the surrounding forest as the distant sounds of campers radiated in the background. Red stared into the white waves that crashed onto the sand beneath his toes. Red sighed deeply before taking a deep breath through his nose. The following week had been so chaotic that Red didn't have a chance to relax. His first day at camp becoming a contest of "Who stared at him the longest".

He knew that they were like him, but not exactly the same. They each had a different God above their head that he did not know of beside a few he heard of from his friend Miel. Red knew of the Athena kids and the Apollo campers with their shiny yellow cabin. It only took three days before he was claimed at the dining pavilion, Red trying to enjoy a chicken dinner before two inverted torches started glowing dimly above his auburn covered head. It only took seven years for his Father to notice him, seven long years of trying to survive monster attacks and school at the same time. Only now his Father thought it was an appropriate time to claim him. Thanatos, the name sounded odd to Red, hard to roll off the tongue or pronounce properly. The rest of the week made Red wonder if this whole two year trip towards Camp was worth it. Was it really? He spent two years on the street trying to survive only to be at a summer camp that taught you how to kill.

Red sighed once more before standing up in the surf, reflecting his last week at camp. The young man did not take a step farther into the surf as he stared into the crashing waves. His orange shirt blowing in the summer breeze as his hair brushed back out of his eyes. He stared into the sea, wondering what lied beneath those dark blue waves.

Danica: Danica's phone buzzed loudly as she made her way down the beach, holding her sandals in one hand as she let her feet sink into the sand. It was still new to her even after ten years of so-called 'freedom'. Her skirt gently grazed over the sand as she raised a hand to see the figure standing in the sand, she hadn't seen them before - must be a new person. Shit, she hadn't made a welcome basket, she usually made it for everyone who came but...she gave out a sigh before approaching the man, looking out to the sea as well, "It's beautiful, isn't it?" She spoke suddenly, looking out toward the horizon.

Red: Red continued to stare off into the vast blue sea and the summer sky. "Yeah... Can't get over how endless it seems." The young man smiled before looking over at the new stranger standing next to him. Her dark hair and strong eyes caught his attention before he stared back into the distance. "I take it you're a camper too?" Red asked the girl calmly before scratching the light scruff on his chin. He has only been freshly shaven once before and he already hated it. Red's soft green eyes continued to stare into the endless sea, enjoying the view.

Danica: "Reminds me of home...at least a little..." She hummed a little, an air of melancholy within her as she reminisced. "I take it you're a new camper, I usually know everyone who comes in and goes out but...I've lost track..." She frowned, "I would've had a welcome basket for you but..." She frowned, "Maybe you're not a jam person? So maybe that was a good thing..." She trailed off, hearing herself ramble.

Red: "Red gave a warm smile to the girl before laughing softly. "A week into Camp new, and thank you anyway but you do not need to get me anything." The young man stared calmly towards the girl, his tired eyes resting heavily against the sounds of the waves. He reached a hand up to give a soft wave. "Red, claimed by Thanatos. a pleasure to meet you..." Red was about to say the girl's name but drew a blank, him realizing he didn't even know her name. A wave of blush ran over his pale face before he quickly looked down in embarrassment.

Danica: Danica lowered herself onto the sand, sitting down before staring out, her violet eyes reflecting the setting sun. "Danica, uh...I'm the head counsellor of Dionysus' Cabin...also their head babysitter but..." She gave a small laugh, trying to hide whatever sadness was beginning to come on. "I try my best, Thanatos? My..." She thought of the right word to describe Skylar, "Friend had beef with the-you guys at one point..."

Red: Dionysus was somewhat of a new name to Red, him scrounging to remember who they were and what they were the God of. "The God of wine, right?" Red took a seat next to Danica, seeing her violet eyes shimmer in the now reddening sunset. "I think I saw it on the way to the dining pavilion, the one with the grapevines on it." The water splashed against his bare feet, him wiggling his pale toes into the warm sun-baked sand. "If they had beef with one of my siblings then I apologize on their behalf." Red was making a bold statement here as he hasn't even met them yet. Most of the time their cabin was alone beside a sleeping body or two. When he wakes up they're already gone. The red mixed with warm orange and a nice splash of purple. Mother Nature created this beautiful art piece as the two demigods sat there enjoying the view.
