Ella 1.jpg

Character's Bio

 Age: 17  Height: 5'7  Weight: 117 lbs
 Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Toulouse, France  Main Weapon: CB whip and sword
Accent: American (with a hint of French)
 – If you ever feel alone, don't. You were never on your own.

Character's Powers

Powers of a Daughter of Morpheus

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to create dream-like illusions of attacks so realistic that they are most likely to catch an enemy off guard; however, if they miss they are left vulnerable to counterattack.
  2. Children of Morpheus can absorb the dreams of others for a short time, removing their memories of them and empowering the user to be faster and stronger. Once the enhancement subsides, the target will remember their dreams if they wish to do so and are immune to further use of this power for a moderate time.

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to make someone think they are seeing their worst nightmares brought to life for a short time; attempting to scare them into not attacking. The user cannot attack while they are using this power.
  2. Children of Morpheus have the ability to cause a person to day dream as if the child of Morpheus was a friend, causing the person to no longer desire to attack them for a short time. If the user attacks while the day dream is in effect, it will instantly stop working, so the power is purely defensive.

  1. Children of Morpheus often receive the current thoughts of people in the surrounding area while asleep. They can turn off this ability if they wish.
  2. Children of Morpheus heal faster while they are asleep and dreaming.
  3. Children of Morpheus are partially conscious while asleep, able to wake themselves up at will.

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to send a small wave of energy which will cause anyone affected to fall asleep and enter a vivid dream for a short time; after the effects have worn off, a person is immune to further effects of this for a moderate time. If the user wishes, the wave may just force the target into a vivid daydream for a short time. This will require less energy, but will have the same limitations.
  2. Children of Morpheus have the ability to look into people’s dreams as they sleep and even manipulate them as they wish.
  3. Children of Morpheus are able to astral project, they can use this for multiple reasons, however, their physical body is vulnerable and they can not effect anything on the physical plane while astral projecting.

3 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Morpheus can create dream-like illusions in order to twist other's perception of reality or make everyone around them see something that isn't really there. However, the illusion isn't physical and therefore is only a trick of sight. The bigger the change in perception, the more power drained. They can also confuse single individuals in the same fashion.

6 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Morpheus have the ability to manifest a small shadowy creature to fight alongside them for a short time; the shadow takes the form of whatever a person’s worst nightmare is when they fight it, however, it is smaller in size if the thing from their nightmares is large. They can command the nightmare and can create up to 3 copies of it, it cannot be bigger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user and doesn’t wield any extraordinary abilities. Ex: the nightmare can fly if the target’s nightmare is something winged like a bird. But if it’s a dragon, it may not breathe fire.

9 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Morpheus are able to transform the surrounding area into their own dream-world, an alternate reality fabricated from the user’s dreams. The dream-world will take any appearance the user desires. Anyone within 30 meters of the user will be trapped within the dream world as well. Within it, the user can fly, teleport, are able to create psychic constructs and are immune to all attacks. They’re also aware of everything happening there. After a short time, the dream-world reverts to a normal environment and the user is left incredibly drained. The user will not be able to move and could possibly faint.

  1. Children of Morpheus are normally well adept at interpreting the dreams of others.
  2. Children of Morpheus often tend to be daydreamers, with their heads always in the “clouds”.
  3. Children of Morpheus typically love dreaming, able to master the concept of “lucid dreaming” at a young age.
  4. Children of Morpheus sometimes accidentally enter other people’s dreams when sleeping.

Whilst in this state, they are invisible (except to those gifted with powers over necromancy), intangible, able to fly, and their powers over astral energies and necromancy are enhanced. What are the tales?

Amani: She waited under the shade of a tree by the Camp's lake. The cool near-summer breeze was comforting. She closed her eyes and looked through what she felt and heard and smelled. She and her newly-acquainted friend (she wasn't even sure if 'acquainted friend' was an oxymoron) agreed to take a walk and a small talk together around the Camp, and their first stop was the lake. She waited.

Kaito: Darn, I'm late. He didn't want anyone waiting for him; waiting for them would be better. He hurriedly put on a jacket and burst out from his cabin. He didn't know hwy he agreed to meet up today. Well, she was nice, and fun to talk to. His heart beat faster as he ran towards the lake, and his hands were cold. Oh, c'mon, Kai. Don't be nervous; it's just a friendly walk. It's not like she's gonna eat you or anything. He spotted her under a tree, and from what it looked like, he might've been letting her wait for a long while. He jogged up to her. "Sorry, Amani. I didn't mean to make you wait."

Amani: Her heart suddenly skipped a beat and her eyes opened wide in surprise. She looked up and saw Kai's cute face. How can somebody be so cute? she thought. She stood up and wiped the grass off her jeans. "Ah, no, no. I actually just arrived, so I didn't wait that long. The wind blew harder, giving her shivers as she hugged herself. "It's pretty cold this hour, huh? Let's go?" she asked.

Kaito: "I see. Thank goodness," he mumbled. He gave himself a silent applaud for not forgetting to bring a jacket with him as the wind turned colder. He turned to Amani. "You should've brought a jacket, too," he remarked. Give her yours,  part of his mind told him. That's what gentlemen do, right? The other part shook his head. Darn it, it's cold. Bummer. The urging part grunted. The opposing side rolled his eyes. Kaito just shook his head. "Uh, I could give you mine. My sweater's thick enough." He started to shrug it off. That's better, Kaito. Real beatter.

Amani: I really should've brought my jacket. Kai's suggestion suprised her, again. She waved her hands at him. "No, no! That jacket's yours, and plus, it's not really that cold," she countered. "I'm fine, honestly." She smiled and put back his jacket's sleeves up his shoulder and  fixed up its collar. "I'm used with the cold. Shall we, now?"

Kaito: He nodded. "You really sure 'bout that?" He wanted to give it; it was indeed cold. But she insisted, so he guessed that everything was fine. He took a step forward and started walking along. "So, how has your day been?" he asked, suddenly developing a special interest in his shoes.

Amani: She tilted her head to one side. "Hmm . . . what have I been doing?" She skipped forward and stopped in front of Kaito. "I have been wondering if the Lady of the Lake, in Arthurian legend, still exists today. Or revived, maybe. I mean, if this myth we're living in is real, then why not her?" She smiled dreamily. "I wonder what she'd be thinking with all the fishers and lovers playing around her lake."

Kaito: He stopped as Amani jumped in his way. He raised a brow, smiling a little. "The Lady of the Lake, huh? I thought she was . . . beheaded? Well, never mind. Guess she'd already burst from all of that's happening," he voiced out. He chuckled. "You really are a kid of Morpheus."

Amani: "Um . . .  thanks?" She giggled at her loss of reply. "You know your stories, don't you?" Turning around, she started walking again, humming a tune she recently heard. She continued forward, and noticed Kaito wasn't speeding along. She looked back and extended a hand. "Aw, c'mon Kai, move your feet faster! The water's turning cold quicker than your pace!"

Kaito: He skipped and grabbed her hand. Without warning, he ran, dragging Amani along. "I have to show you something!" he yelled. The air was cold as his face broke through it; it felt good. "I'm sure you'll love it!" He headed towards the nearby copse, wanting to show her a cliche but still a beautiful sight.

Amani: She tried to catch up with Kaito. Gods, he's fast! "Uh, well, what's that sight, if I may ask?" she queried as she kept her speed beyond tripping. It sure must be beautiful, if he seemed so excited about it. His hand felt warm; probably she was feeling really cold. You should've taken his jacket. The air around the copse area was colder, nd she definitely regretted shoving away his suggestion.

Kaito: "You'll know it when you see it!" he replied. A few seconds later, they arrived in the middle of the thicket. Although the sun was still up, it was dark being surrounded by large trees and their shady canopies. "Watch this," he told Amani. He took a long twig and hit the bushes repeatedly, but with not too much force to destory them. A couple of seconds after, small yellow lights started to glow all around the place, dancing to a slow, silent rhythm that made the small copse so magical. "You told me you loved fireflies and that you rarely see them, so here they are."

Amani: Her hands went to cover her mouth to hide her open mouth. It's true it has been a long time since she'd witness that many fireflies, and this was just . . . beautiful. "Kai . . . I don't know what to say. Just . . just thank you. Thank you so much!" She couldn't control her emotions that she threw her arms around him, oblivious to whatever he might think. The last time she saw that kind of sight was with her mother, and she missed her so dearly. She didn't notice the tears that were streaming down her face. "Hontou ni arigatou guzaimashita," she repeated in Kai's language.

Kaito: The hug totally surprised him. If he knew only knew how this firefly show would affect her, he would've thought twice. He heard her sniffing, and he at last put his arms around her, too. She sounded happy. "I'm sorry. I never meant to make you cry. It's just, well . . . um . . you're welcome," he finished. He didn't know what to say, so he kept her around his arms until she pulls away.

Amani: "It's a nice cry. I'm happy, thanks to you," she replied, burying her head in the shoulder of his jacket. It was warm, really warm, and she didn't want to let go. But reality kicked in and she pulled away. She laughed a bit and wiped her tears. "Sorry, I'm . . . oh my, I'm a mess. Really sorry, Kai-kun." She looekd at him. "Did I make you feel, well, uncomfortable?"

Kaito: He gave a pursed smile and shook his head. "Not at all. I'm actually happy that you appreciated it." He looked at the ground. He felt like he was completely red in the face. He quietly slapped his face and stood straight. "I think the Lady of the Lake will laught at you, Amani-san."

Amani: She laughed again. "Oh, please, she's going to call all nixes and freshwater mermaids to come do the same at me." She put her hands inside her jeans pockets and blew out some air with a whistle."But, really thanks for that. It was absolutely beautiful." Her teeth seemed to chatter.

Kaito: He shook his head. "You really are hopeless." He took off his jacket and one swift move and put it over her shoulders. He spread his arms. "Feel warmer? I have my sweater so, no worries." He looked up and whistled. His breath didn't crystallize anymore; summer was here. He held out a hand at Amani, then tilted his head to her direction. "Let's go? The Lady of the Lake would want to see your flustered face."

Tales are wicked

Amani: She hugged the jacket's sleeves, thankful and somehow . . . stupidly happy. She took his hand. "Whatever. It's your fault I'm like this, so lead me out with your own sorry face."

Kaito: He closed his hand around hers. "Funny you even thought of that. It's actually mean." He walked out of the copse, squinting as the sun rays hit his eyes. The water of the lake uncovered by shadows sparkled, multiplying the scenery's brightness. Looking at it, he suddenly remembered a place similar to it, a place where he used to feel calm and tranquil. He stopped slowly in his tracks.

Amani: The lights and diamond waters were blinding. Kaito stopped, and his eyes seemed to look far off into the horizon. He looked sad, as if recalling something that used to make him glad. "Kai-kun, are . . . are you all right?" she asked softly.

Kaito: He continued to stare off far into the distance, but he heard Amani. "Do you ever think about, y'know, going back to the time when everything in your life was peaceful, when you never knew about how complicated your life could be, when you only thought what normal people think? Like going to school, getting a degree, having a stable job, and hoping to grow old wealthy enough, and none of these weird things ever happened?"

Amani: She was curious as to why he suddenly thought about such things, but she pondered over the question. "Sometimes, I do." She let go from his hand and sat down on the grass, hugging her knees. "I thought of wanting to go back to the time when it was just me and my mother. I'd attend a fashon school and become a renowed fashin designer. I'd start dominating Paris, then France, to nearby countried and, well, maybe, the whole world - if I'd still live to be it." She sighed and relaxed her shoulders, keeping the jacket over her. "But I'm a demigod, and I have to fight to keep living, if I still want to believe that I'll be what I once dreamed to be."

Kaito: He nodded. "Well . . ." He sat down beside her and stared back at the lake. "Things don't go the way we want them to be. I also wanted to just be with my mom, and aunt, and just keep on exploring places. I wanted to find a place where no one else has ever been, somewhere safe and quiet." He turned his face to look at Amani. "But at the least, this whole demigod mess of me brought me to meeting you, and a lot others. So, I really doubt what I think sometimes."

Amani: She went silent. Maybe finding Camp was a good thing. Considering the gloomy aura, she laughed it off and took two wrapped candies from her pocket. She offered one to Kai. "Yeah, Camp is good in some ways. But thinking so much about these stuff, well, they just kind of, you know, make me feel homesick, or make me recall just about everything? I'd spot a tree that I had back home, and I'd remember climbing one. I'd see some bald person somewhere, I'd remember those kind monks. I'd see news about abductors, it just freaks me out." She shook her head. "Life is complicated."

Kaito: "Indeed, it is. But that's what makes it to interesting. You just keep letting your curiosity win, and no matter the result, you keep going." He chuckled. "It is weird, and fantastic at the same time."

Amani: "Right." No matter how far she went, trouble would always chase her. And no matter how many times she'd get hurt, she'd still pursue that way. Friends were something rare and valuable that you have to take, and she's doing her best to do so. Then a part of her mind abruptly stopped all the deep thoughts running in her mind. Hey, enjoy the start of summer, would ya? it said. "So, how are you now?" she asked.

Kaito: He shrugged. "I'm not really sure. Good, I guess. I mean, life continues on as usual, nothing really worth remembering for, or nothing worth looking forward to, rather. Maybe except for looking forward to still survive, but that's it. And hoping I'll still be with friends, y'know, the typical." He looked at her. "I'm a typical guy."

Amani: "So you're a typical guy now, huh?" She stared up at the sky, simply avoiding the sun. "For me, now, I'll try to stop worrying about the future and clingign to the past ans just live in the current moment. Say everything that I want to say. Do everything that I won't regret. Feel something that I'd never felt before. That sounds good for me."

Kaito: Her words made him more encouraged to do something he was kind of scared to do. Although he was still to nervous to do so, maybe the right situation would put up for it. "That does sound great. Hope you get to do those. Be happy and all."

Amani: "Don't you have anything similar in idea?" she asked. "I'm sure you have, too."

Kaito: "Hmm . . ." He closed his eyes and turned his face towards the sky. "I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement to do what I want to do for now. Like you wanna do something but there's just some part of your mind that keeps telling you that the outcome will be negative. It bugs me out." Just do it already, a part of him whispered. Don't keep it too long. He opened his eyes. "That's it, for now."

Amani: She popped the candy into her mouth. Sweet. "Well, what is it that you want to do?" She then ignored her own question and shook her head. "Okay, never mind that question. How about, why do you need encouragement? Is it really that hard?"

Kaito: He rubbed his nape. "Well . . . I don't really know the end if I do it. And the what ifs scare me - a lot. Sure, some people don't even consider it that scary, but . . ." He chuckled and bowed his head. "It's not a big thing, so, don't mind."

Amani: She stared at Kai with squinting eyes. "Oh? I feel like I have gist of that goal you're getting to," she mused. "Is it . . ." She scooted a little closer. "Is that you're confessing to someone? Tell me. Oh my gods, Kaito, who is that lucky girl? Is she the one from the Hecate cabin?" That was an assumption, but it felt likely so.
