Character's Powers

 ====Offensive====

  1. Children of Thanatos can use astral energies to make weapons for a short period of time, the larger the weapon, the more energy consumed. Only 1 weapon may be created at a time and it cannot be bigger than 2 or 3 times the size of the user.
  2. Children of Thanatos have the ability to drain some of the life force out of a person, so that they become weaker, slower, and almost sedated for a short time. However, using this in succession will weaken the power’s effect.

Defensive

  1. Children of Thanatos have the ability to conjure a protective dome of astral energies around them, which will protect the user from attacks for a short time.

Passive

  1. Children of Thanatos can sense any death, whether it be mortal, demigod, nymph or monster.
  2. Children of Thanatos can communicate with the souls of the recently deceased.
  3. Children of Thanatos heal slightly every time they deal damage to their opponents.
  4. Children of Thanatos are able to see the lifespan of others, but are forbidden to share information about the lifespan in any way.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Thanatos have the ability to Shadow Travel, to teleport from shadow to shadow; the further the distance, the more energy drained.
  2. Children of Thanatos are able to call forth recently deceased spirits to aide them for a short time.
  3. Children of Thanatos are able to enchant weapons with soul-damaging powers, the effect only lasts for a short time.
  4. Children of Thanatos can bend shadows around them, concealing them for a short time.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Thanatos are able to feast on the darkness around them and empower themselves for a short time, enhancing their strength and speed. After the effect wears off, the user will be somewhat worn out and unable to use the power again for the rest of the fight.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Thanatos have the ability to temporarily split their souls in order to create a duplicate of themselves to aid them in combat. This duplicate and can only fight using whatever weapon the user has and possesses a weaker version of their powers. The user and the duplicate will possess a telepathic link. The longer the duplicate is maintained, the more energy is drained.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Thanatos have the ability to morph into a spirit for a short time. Whilst in this state, they are invisible (except to those gifted with powers over necromancy), intangible, able to fly, and their powers over astral energies and necromancy are enhanced. Though they are intangible by default, they can make themselves tangible to attack others or if they wish to be seen. If they attempt to attack anyone while still intangible they will automatically become visible and tangible. While in this state they are also able to drain the life-force of anyone they touch to a slight extent, however they cannot completely drain the life-force of the person. The user is extremely drained once the transformation ends, unable to move and could possibly faint.

Traits

  1. Children of Thanatos generally have morbid personalities.
  2. Children of Thanatos are generally not frightened of death.
  3. Children of Thanatos normally prefer the idea of a quiet, peaceful death. They also tend to dislike the idea of people losing their lives violently.
  4. Children of Thanatos can grow up to make great morticians.

RP

Alexis: She wandered around the camp aimlessly. Alexis had already been at camp for around a day, but she hadn't really gotten the chance to look around yet. It was really early in the morning, so not many people were up, but Alexis loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. She walked around the perimeter of the forest, sticking to the shade. After a while, she got lost in thought, not really paying attention to her surroundings.

Bea: Bea opened a fresh jar of honey with it's distinctive pop, a wave of sweetness wafted up to her. She breathed it in happily. Bea sat near the dining pavilion at a table she set up, with all the ingredients she needed to make honey cupcakes. The honey bee nymph scraped the honey into the batter with a wooden spoon as she saw someone she didn't recognize. A newbie, she figured. The girl looked dazed, so Bea called after her, "Hello! Are you lost?"

Alexis: Alexis jumped a little bit when she heard someone call her name, snapping her out of her thoughts. she'd always had a bad startle reflex. She turned around to lee an older looking girl sitting a table in the dining pavilion, with a large jar of honey and various other ingredients. "Hey…" she said quietly, a little embarrassed for overreacting like that. "I'm okay, I was just exploring. I'm pretty new here, see," she replied.

Bea: She smiled, an autumn wind rolling through and ruffling her honey blonde hair. "That's quite alright," Bea said, glancing at her bowl and starting to mix dutifully. "I'm a curious soul aswell, and welcome. Are you a demigod, uh, Miss..." Bea realized she didn't ask the girl's name. As the girl replied, the nymph monitioned to the bench across from her for her to sit.

Alexis: Alexis moved up to the tables when the girl motioned her to. She seemed friendly. "My name's Alexis, " She said, with a little more confidence. "Yeah, I am. Thanatos… I guess that's not really a good way to open a conversation, saying that I'm the daughter of a death god, heh," She smiled awkwardly, suddenly finding interest in whatever the girl was mixing. She wasn't completely sure what to say next. "…What's your name? Are you a demigod too?"

Bea: Bea smiled politely as the girl sat, stirring in some powder sugar. It puffed out of the bowl in a cloud and frosted her hair, streaking on her cheeks and nose. Surprised, she wiped some sugar off her forehead and laughed while replying, "I'm Bea, and I understand how that might be an awkward way to introduce yourself, but I don't even have a god to introduce myself with, well, maybe Perephone, but she is more of my creator." Aware she was rambling, Bea summerized with a sheepish smile, "I'm a honey bee nymph."

Alexis: Alexis' eyes widened. "Really? That's crazy. I didn't know there were nymphs at camp," She smirked and giggled a little when she saw all the powdered sugar in Bea's hair. "How long have you been here? Do you like it? How big is camp?" She helped be brush off the sugar on her face. "Sorry if that's too many questions… its only my second day here, I don't know much.

Bea: "Yup, I, uh, rose from the underworld, so, uh, that's how I got up here. Being, well, immortal, I got a little board down there, so Persephone let me  up here. I did have to leave my boyfriend..." She coughed awkwardly. "But I've been here for I'd say a couple weeks now, and I do like it," Her grin returned. "Camp is huge and wonderous to explore in. I don't mind answer questions," She added. She laughed as Alexis tried to help get the sugar out of her hair. "Yeah, I love to bake." As she said that, Bea folded the batter again and started putting the in the gold tins.

Alexis: She nodded, then looked at the batter that Bea was starting to pour. "What are you making?" She asked, politely, shifting her focus to get a better look, her charm bracelet jingling as she moved. "That's quite a bit of honey," She said with a laugh, looking at the large jar. Alexis knew the small talk was a little awkward, but she felt like she should get to know her a little bit before she began seriously pelting her with al her questions, she had been told in the past that it was rude to do so.

Bea: "Honey cupcakes– I have quite a sweet tooth," Bea said dreamily. Glancing at the charm bracelet, she laughed, "Why yes it is, Alexis." She paused before continuing, noticing Alexis looking like she felt awkward. "When I'm done making them, you're welcome to have one, I was planning to give most of them away anyways." She smiled like she couldn't wait. "Now, do you have any more questions?" Bea added as she set the bowl down and eyed the spoon, tempting to lick it but not want to seem disinterested with Alexis.

Alexis: Alexis smiled at Bea's offer "Thank you so much!" She was glad to have already made an acquaintance, she didn't make friends very easily. "Err… one last question, I guess. I overheard some other people at camp talking about this," She shifted awkwardly,"What's… the Broken Covenant?"

((OOC: Sorry I took so long to respond! School's been busy))

Bea: Alexis seemed to be a mix of relieved and awkward at the same time, and Bea started to feel the same. "Well, thats..." She paused, taking a breath. "Um well, the Broken Covenant– we call them the BC– they feel sort of cheated by the gods, and they have factions, I guess different levels of hatred for them. Some want over rule them, some want a democracy." Her eyes widened, and she leaned forward seriously and whispered. "Are you thinking of joining?"
