Character's Powers

Powers of a Child of Nike

  1. Children of Nike are able to channel their energy with and create a link to an object, can be a weapon or a sports related item, which causes their next attack with this object to be two times more powerful. Once used, it can not be used again on the object for the remainder of the fight and it drains the user somewhat.
  2. Children of Nike are able to clap their hands so hard and fast due to their enhanced strength that it sends a small shock-wave out. The shock-wave generates enough force to knock an opponent off their feet and possibly leaves bruises on their skin.

  1. Children of Nike can become resistant to all types of physical attacks for a short time.
  2. Children of Nike are able to increase their speed and stealth in short bursts, making them faster than most and undetectable for a short time. However, they cannot have a weapon drawn so the speed is purely for evasion.

  1. Children of Nike are innately proficient in most forms of combat and hold a higher state of physical prowess. They wield higher levels of strength, speed, endurance and stamina than the average human.
  2. Children of Nike have innate reflexes which allow them to fight and dodge quickly.
  3. Children of Nike have the ability to predict the path of projectiles and dodge them, as well as identifying the weak points of opponents. This ability does not always work and could mislead the user, leaving them open to attacks.
  4. Children of Nike wield an amazing amount of willpower and fighting spirit, allowing them to partially resist any attempt to control their mind and resist any urge to surrender or quit.

  1. Children of Nike have the inhuman ability to leap great distances and perform dodge-rolls with ease, which can aid the user with dodging and attacking.
  2. Children of Nike have the ability to empower strength upon nearby allies and instill fear upon nearby enemies with a deafening war cry.
  3. Since their mother was depicted as a winged goddess, children of Nike can sprout wings for a short time, this enables them to fly; the longer they maintain this state, the more energy it drains. They must rest between flights and cannot make long distance traveling without resting often. However the wings are vulnerable to injuries and magic; they can also be customized to the user’s preference.
  4. Children of Nike can create a false illusion of what their opponent needs to do to achieve victory for a short time. This can cause an opponent to attempt foolish strategies that work against them and gives the user a chance to attack or flee.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nike have the capability to fluidly move around on both land and air making the environment their playground allowing them to kick off almost any surface and air dash across moderate distances, swing around lampposts, maneuver their motion while airborne and grind along rails and battle enemies with speed, agility and style. Using this ability, the user can easily use their environment to their advantage, such as running up walls to escape enemies.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nike have the power to turn an opponent’s semi-living construct and/or animal ally against them by inducing a powerful desire for victory and the idea that only the user can provide it. So they will be under the complete control of them. The more allies and constructs the user usurps control from, the more energy is drained.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nike can draw power from all the victorious actions and desires they’ve seen, felt, or committed in their lives and become an become an embodiment of victory for a short time, in this state they are as twice as stronger and faster than before and are immune to all attacks. They emit a powerful aura which somewhat makes enemies think they are weak and doomed for failure. Once the transformation subsides and the user reverts to normal, they are immensely drained, cannot move and could possibly faint.

  1. Children of Nike are usually excellent charioteers and horse-riders.
  2. Children of Nike are often athletic and great sportsmen.
  3. Children of Nike normally love winning and are very competitive, typically being confident in their skills and wanting to show off.

Callista Butler Daughter of Demeter

 Age: 11
 Sexuality: Bi
  Main Weapon: Knives

It's a really nice day. Things should get along just fine.

Xander: As if the sun has risen up again after the rain for the umpteenth time in the day, he walks out of his cabin and hollers to a tree. "Now what, Mr. Tree, it's time for my exercise with you," he tells it. One jump, and he lands on a high branch. Smiling, he leaps again and holds on, going for the highest branch. The Camp looks the same, nothing new. "Sad," he mutters. Easily as he went up, he slides down and lands on his feet like he didn't climb a really tall tree. He whistles and passes cabins, reaching the infirmary.

Callista: Callista had woken up in the infirmary a couple hours ago. She had the faintest idea how she had gotten there: only remembering something about passing out as soon as she saw a person. She had already checked on her brother, who was in some sort of coma, someone had told her. Blinking, she groaned and stood up, stretching. "It's so boring here. And they took my iPod," she muttered.

Xander: The idea that pops into his mind isn't very respectful. From a window of the infirmary, he peeks in, hoping to see someone he expects to be there. He moves from window to window, seeking, but sees no one, until he spots a girl sitting on a bed, looking all gloomy. "She's new," he mumbles. He stays a bit, still hoping someone else will pop into view, but nothing really exciting.

Callista: Turning to the window, she stares at the boy, whose sudden arival is almost startling. She walks to the window and opens it, almost glaring, but her stare is more of curiousity. "Hello," she said. "Are you being a peeping Tom?" She asked, blinking, voice full of innocence.

Xander: The girl's sudden movements are surprising. He gives her a huge smile. "Why, hello, too. It's called 'peeping' if you do it suspiciously, but I don't think that's what I'm doing, so no." He puts his hands on his waist and looks beyond the girl in the window. "Have you seen a dark-haired guy, who must have some scratches on his arms?" he asks in the same tone as the girl used.

Callista: Callista sighed and shook her head. "I haven't seen more than two people today, and one is unconcious," she pouted. "Why do you ask?" she asked, grinning. "I'm assuming you are chasing this guy for a reason."

Xander: "Well, that's very unsocial," he remarks. "And yes, I'm chasing that guy for a reason that's none of anyone's business, and sadly, that includes you." He peeks one more time. "Poor guy. Someone close? That's so miserable for someone who hasn't met a friend yet. Oh, well, thanks for wasting my time!" He starts to run off.

Callista: She pokes her head out the window more, watching him. "Let me come," she said. "My brother isn't going to be up for days, and I can't stand another minute in here alone," she pouted. "Show me the way down," she said, climbing up on the window sill and balancing on her toes, her arms holding her in place as she leaned out.

Xander: He stops in his tracks and slowy turns his head back. His face scrunches. "Are you kidding me? You just wasted seconds of my time and - oh, gods, what are you doing?!" As the girl tries to jump out of the window, he goes back to her and waves his hand. "No, no, no! This is not the way out! Have you ever heard of the thing called door?"

Callista: "Of course I have. They won't let me out, because I'm healing," she mocks. She sighs and glares. "Fine. Go on then. I'll be here, wasting the day away..." she says, flopping back on the bed with an obvious pout.

Xander: He rolls eyes and lets out a loud sigh. He leans his arms on the window sill and glares back at the girl. "You're healing. You want to go out. Isn't it ironic?" he says in a matter-of-fact tone. "Well, whatever."

Callista: Face down in the pillow, her speech is muffled. "I feel fine..." She looks at him with a cold stare. "So you won't help, no matter how much I beg, I guess." She walks to the other side of the room and opens a window, then seeing the tree beside it, she climbs onto the branch.

Xander: Staring from the opposite window, he slowly shakes his head. "Man, you're hopeless," he mutters. He sure is nasty and sarcastic, but he has always cared for the well-being of others. He runs his fingers through his hair and sprints around the infirmary to the tree the unnamed girl is climbing on. He looks up and knits his brows. "Get down there! I don't know who you are, but I sure know that you must not be on a tree when you should be lying on a bed inside!"

Callista: She balances on the branch, full smile on her face. "If I needed to be in there, I'd be unconscious," she said. She continued to walk down the branch, reaching the main trunk, jumping down, with sure footing. As soon as she was on the ground, she waved up at Xander and bolted, laughing.

Xander: He sighs again and tilts his head to one side. Catch her or not? Or just tell? Like his normal way of running, he dashes so much faster than a normal person can and stops a second before the girl reaches him. He points at her. "You can't run away from me, missy."

Callista: "I'll just hide, then," and runs to the forest not very far from the building. She smiles, practically disappearing into the brush.

Xander: "Is that girl really healing?he asks himself. He jogs towards the entrance colonnade of the forest and continues in. With his hands cupped around his mouth, he shouts out, "C'mon, little missy. You won't be getting anywhere with this! Soon enough, a doctor will be finding you. They'll punish you, I'm warning you."

Callista: She smiled. "You think! I've been doing stuff like this the majority of my life, and no one's caught me yet! I'm best in the forest, you should know~" she laughs, scaling up a large tree, hanging from it upside down. "Think you can catch me?"

Xander: He doesn't want to do what he's thinking, but he's totally wanting to get this girl back to where she must be. "Suit yourself," he tells her before clapping his hands with activated power. He claps hard and fast enough send a shockwave at the girl, getting her to fall off the tree, and, hopefully, catch her.

Callista: She yelped, manuevering herself to land on the next branch, crouching. She narrowed her eyes at him. "What was that?" she asked, curious.

Xander: He sighs. Sad, she didn't fall. "Some stuff. Well, you got some good balance, girl. Now get down here before I do that again. That wasn't the strongest I can do." He points at the tree she's on. "And oh, that tree has a dryad connected to it. She doesn't like anyone on her branches."

Callista: "Alright. I'll apologize and climb into another tree then," she replies as she starts moving towards the next tree. "And I'm not coming down, because I can already tell you're just going to hand me in."

Xander: He shakes his head. "All right, all right. Just come down here, and I won't hand you over. I swear to the River Styx. Now c'mon before you get worse."

Callista: "Get worse? I already told you I feel fine. But fine, I'm coming down..." she started to climb down, skillfully jumping from branch to branch and finally to the ground.

Xander: He crosses his arms over his chest and raises an eyebrow. "What's your plan now, missy? As much as I can be heartless, I don't want anyone new to get lost in a dense forest. Worse, a dense magical forest." He tilts his head. "It's a tip."

Callista: She shrugs. "I've been raised in a camper all my life. I've done my share of exploring, and I know how to get around. I won't get lost."

Xander: "That's what you think. This is completely different from mortal forests. Don't be tricked by your experiences." He turns around, towards the entrance of the forest. "C'mon now. Your brother must be waiting for you, didn't you say?"

Callista: She appears to pout for a moment, then sighs. "Fine. We can go get him. But I'm not staying there for long."

Xander: He shrugs. "Whatever." He waits for her to walk by his side before continuing. "So, your brother? What happened?" he asks as if it was a usual question in his life.

Callista: She shrugs. "He hit his head on a wall when fighting some big dog thing...."

Xander: He shakes his head and mutters, "Hellhounds." He looks up to the canopy of tree branches overhead. "Sure enough he's gonna be fine soon enough. The type of fine that he can already dodge all the lava spouts on the climbing wall."

Callista: "Lava? Sounds dangerous~" she smiles. "I don't think I introduced myself. Not that it matters. I'm Callista," she said, pulling a leaf out of her hair.

Xander: "Mhmm." He whistles for a few seconds before smirking as he put her name in his head. "Not really nice meeting you, Callista. If you want, I can help you up the wall and push you down. Y'know, trying to flap your arms as if you can fly when there's lava all around feels great."

Callista: She glares at him. "Don't be so mean, it's probably why you have no friends."

Xander: He chortles as he kicks a huge bug away. "Don't be such a know-it-all, Lady Callista. You never know what lies ahead of those you offend. I'm not saying I'm offended, but that's what most here would feel." He picks a violet flower from a bush they passed by and put in over her ear. "There. Some good luck in case you get ambushed in some way on some time."

Callista: "Oh, sorry." She takes a look at the flower. "Aw, you picked the poor thing. It'll end up wilting after a week.... But how would it give me good luck? Is it magic?"

Xander: They turn around a corner. "Gods, you are so naive. Well, at least you have your manners. And - " The infirmary building appears in the view, an Apollo kid skidding down the porch. "Ah! The infirmary; let's check up on your brother." He starts to run ahead but stops and tilts his heas far back to have a glimpse of Callista. "It's Xander, by the way."

Callista: "Well then nice to meet you Xander," she says, following him in a jog. "I don't know the way to the room through the front doors, so we can figure that out or we can climb the tree."

Xander: "No, no, no. A big no no," he retorts as he jogs up to the porch. "It's the front door or nothing." He climbs up the stairs and opens the door. He gestures for her to go in. "I've been here countless times. Don't ask why."

Callista: She pouts a bit. "The tree is nicer than you." She follows him onto the porch. "Show me the way then."

Xander: He shrugs and winds through the corridors, passing a dozen windows before arriving to the section where he thinks her brother is in. Before pushing the door open, he asks her, "The room from where I saw you out the window, is your brother there? Not sure if you're both in the same ward."

Callista: "We were. He was asleep when I left."

Xander: "Good." He pushes the wooden door open and rows of beds with white sheets came into view. Nobody is around except for the one boy on the far side of the left row. "My, I can wake him up any time."

Callista: "I'll do it," she said, walking over to his bed and shaking his shoulder. "Leeeeeennoooon, wake uuuup,"

Lennon: He groans, rolling over in the bed and pulling the covers over his head. "Five more minutes..."

Xander: He grins and strides in the room, stopping by the bed's footboard. He clears his throat and says in his deepest voice possible, "Wake up, brother. Sparta needs all the men she has. Rise!"

Callista: She giggles at the deepness of his voice.

Lennon: He sits up, a glare across his face. "Why is it so important I wake up....."

Xander: He inches closer. This time, he uses his highest-pitched voice, which probably sounds like the ridiculous stereotypical fat maid in movies, and chimes, "I'm sorry, dear, but your toothbrush is waiting for you."

Lennon: At this point, he's just comepletely weirded out. "Callista, who is this...?" He asks as he scoots farther away.

Callista: "Oh. This is Xander. He's an ass but he's been enteraining me."

Xander: He chuckles at Callista. "That is one of the most accurate descriptions of me. I like that." He turns his attention back to the boy on the bed. Lennon, was it? "Nah, don't be afraid of me, Lemon! I am your mutant fairy godmother! How're you feeling? The hot lava bath is ready."

Lennon: "Callista, I think he's a little messed up in the head...."

Callista: She smiles, laughing. "He wasn't like this earlier, maybe I made a screw go loose."

Xander: He shakes his head. "So you're saying your lil' bro's got worse? You said he was attacked by a freakin' hellhound. So that's what happens. Screw loosens because head is injured, or just hit somewhere. Stuff happens." He shrugs. "So, Lennon, it's time you know that this place has no one who is in the right mind. You're part of that." Then he laughs like an insufferable idiot.

Callista: She rolled her eyes for what seemed like forver. "Lennon, you know I'm talking about him." She then proceeds to slightly kick Xander's shin, groaning at his laugh. "Come on we don't have all day!"

Lennon: He frowns at the two. "I just want to go outside..."

Xander: He immediately jerks his feet away. "Don't just kick like that. Ask permission first." He rests his hand on his hips. "Now . . . I know a great place to refreshen you, Lennon. Don't worry, it's not gonna hurt. I swear to the River Styx." He winks with a grin and holds out a hand. "I'm not trusted, but trust me on this."

Lennon: He looks at his hand, sighing. "Fine...." He takes his hand and gets out of the bed, stretching as he stands.

Xander: "Wonderful!" He takes hold of both of Lennon's shoulders and pushes him towards the door. "Come, come! Callista, dear, come!"

Lennon: He yelps at the sudden contact, trying to walk himself.

Callista: She eagerly follows, looking up into Xander's face. "What now?" She asks b

Xander: "Well, where do you guys haven't been yet? I could take you there." He suddenly perks up with an idea. "Oh, I did tell you about the climbing wall, right? Why don't you both try it there?" He gestures at Lennon with a friendly punch in the arm. "This boy can get his strength and love of risk back. So are yours."
