Character

Andra Sydney ~ Child of Themis

"Justice is the need for order within a society, therefore justice will always be there to thwart chaos."
{{{1}}}
Character's Bio

 Age: 16  Height: 5'6"  Weight: 125 lbs
 Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Single
Main Weapon: A sword and a shield
 Accent: Neutral/American

Character's Powers

 ====Offensive====

  1. Children of Themis can cause someone to forget their current morals and act savagely for a short time, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
  2. Children of Themis, after receiving a wound, are able to use the justice of vengeance to power their next attack. This empowerment results in the attack having enhanced speed and strength.

Defensive

  1. Children of Themis are capable of forcing everyone near them for a short time into a state of lawful peace, where no one can fight. After the effects subside, it cannot be used again for the rest of the fight. The user is also unable to fight due to the lawful peace.
  2. Whenever a child of Themis takes part in a fight, a law automatically comes into existence, and its' purpose is to forbid enemies from attacking them. After this law is broken substantially, the user can create a field of energy that would imprison the opponent for a short time. The energy field would serve as a punishment for breaking the law. The target cannot escape in anyway, but also cannot be attacked while the imprisonment field is active. This power can only be used twice during a fight.

Passive

  1. Children of Themis can see a few seconds into the future; allowing them to possibly predict the actions of others, but also hindering their sight at times.
  2. Children of Themis are able to detect any lie and know if someone's telling the truth or not, though it doesn’t always work. This works much better if the lie is directly related to a law or rule being broken
  3. Whenever someone is around a child of Themis, they’d feel at least slightly guilty for their wrongdoings. They can shut off this ability for a long time if they wish to do so.
  4. Children of Themis can sense whenever a crime is occurring in a 10-meter distance, whether it’s illegal or just morally wrong. The user cannot sense crimes being committed against themselves.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Themis can create a rule and can make someone follow that rule for a short period of time, as long as the rule does no harm and doesn’t completely stop an opponent from fighting, as well as a suitable punishment if the rule is broken. Possible punishments are substantial pain inducement, banishment (via instant teleportation) from the surrounding area, power/weapon negation (only one weapon or power) for a short time. All punishments subside after a short time; only one rule may be enforced at a time.
  2. If an ally is wounded, Children of Themis are temporarily empowered to achieve justice for them towards the one who wounded them; this effect greatly increases the strength and speed of their attacks until justice is achieved.
  3. Children of Themis are able to turn even the most un-ordered situations into well organized and properly structured systems. An example would be a chaotic battle, where movements and emotions are wild and erratic: the user would cause the battle to stop or organize it to become more calm, precise and well thought out.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Themis have the ability to lawfully force another person to follow their will for a few minutes, forcing them to follow their commands as long as they are not going to be forced harm themselves. The person will remain under the control of the law forcing for a few minutes or until control is relinquished, the longer the control is kept, the more energy it drains.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Themis can create paradoxical laws that allows the user to affect reality in illogical ways. For example, they can splash water on an opponent and cause severe burns and get hit with a hammer and it will just tickle. Only one reality-warping law can be implemented at a time and it will only be in effect for a short time. Afterwards, the user will be substantially drained. The power cannot be used to implement a law that would cause severe damage, such as breathing or blinking would cause their brains to explode.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Themis can become an embodiment of order for a short time, giving them the power to immediately judge a person according to their intentions. They are immune to all attacks. The user can implement up to 5 laws at once in this state, but not those that bend reality. (The laws should be similar to ones created and possess penalties like Supplementary 1) The user emits an aura of duty and respect for authority, so the person will be more likely to follow the laws created. This ability only lasts for a short amount of time. Once the child of Themis exits this form they are drained for a moderate time and cannot move until they are rested. Additionally, the more they do in this state, the greater they are drained, sometimes they may even faint.

Traits

  1. Children of Themis are normally able to tell if someone is guilty or innocent and tell fact from fiction easily.
  2. Children of Themis often make great lawyers since they have natural knowledge of law/order systems and tend to be fair and unbiased, whether they are prosecutors or attorneys.
  3. Children of Themis tend to be good at understanding prophecies and thinking about the future.
  4. Children of Themis generally take law and order very seriously, working hard to follow/enforce rules and keep things clean and orderly.

Andra: Waves back. "Hello!"

Jasmine: *comes closer to her* *hands one hand out* I'm Jasmine, you are? *smiles*

Andra: Shakes her hand smiles softly "I'm Andra. Nice to meet you."

Jasmine: "So, from what cabin are you, Ann?"*Jasmine furrows  her brow* "Sorry 'bout calling you Ann, but could I call you Ann?" *smiles*

Andra: "I prefer Andra. My mother is Themis. And you?"

Jasmine: *smiles wider* "Aww, I thought I could call you Ann but its okay, I'll just call you Andra. So, I'm from the Demeter Cabin and I'm kind of new here." *Jasmine walks forward a bit* "Care to take a stroll? I'm feeling quite bored you know." *smiles*

Andra: She stares but slowly walks with the girl.

Jasmine: "Am I too talkative for your taste? I'm so sorry if I am." *Jasmine said while walking*

Andra: She shakes her head. "No, I was just surprised. I'm talkative too, so it's fine."

Jasmine: Good to hear that you're talkative, too. *smiles* You know any cool place to go?

Andra: "Sure. Let's head to the forest."

Jasmine: Jasmine felt good, knowing that she's going into a forest because her homesickness will be cured a bit. "So, where in this forest is the coolest place to go?" she asked smiling.

Andra: She smiles. "Anywhere really. It's just a cool place to be in general."

Jasmine: Jasmine spots an average-sized boulder where they could sit. "Care to sit there? We could talk and talk there for hours," she said, pointing at the boulder.

Andra: "Yeah, sure." She runs for the boulder and jumps, landing perfectly on the balls of her feet.

Jasmine: "That Is Awesome!" Jasmine said with child-like awe and runs to the boulder and sat on it. "Wish I could do that bit I guess I won't land on my feet but on my face," she said jokingly.

Andra: She laughs. "I've been here for over a year. I've been through training. Eventually you'll be able to do it too. I promise."

Jasmine: She shrugs a bit. "I hope so 'cause what you just did was so awesome. The thing is, I am a real klutz and I kind of have an attaction with the ground," she said laughing a bit.

Andra: She laughs at the pun. "Some people are just meant to be on the ground. And that's alright. There's nothing wrong with that. There's plenty you can do on the ground."

Jasmine: She shrugs again. "Point taken. Being a Demeter kid, I think I'm really grounded to be on the ground," she said, smiling. She made a dandelion flower spring on the ground. "That's for you," she smiled. "An offer of friendship."

Andra: She kneels and picks the flower. She looks at it and smiles. "Dandelion's don't last long, but I get the point. Thank you."

Jasmine: "Keep it in between a book page and it will last really long," she said with a smile, happy that she is now friends with Andra. "Ahmm, sorry if that's the only plant I could produce at the moment. When I get more powerful, maybe it would be a better plant."

Andra: "Between a book? I can do that. Thank you. Sadly I have nothing to give you back. Except the knowledge that justice will follow you if you know where to look."

Jasmine: She laughed a little. "You don't have to give me anything to show me your friendship," she said, still smiling. "Just be a friend, that would be more than enough. Oh, and I'll take that advice."

Andra: She laughs. "Alright. So what do you want to do now?"

Jasmine: She furrows her brow, thinking. Few seconds later, she gave up thinking, "Hmmm, I don't know? I mean, I don't really know. Maybe talk about our lives if that doesn't sound meddlesome?" she said still thinking.

Andra: She shrugs. "Sure. That works."

Jasmine: She smiles,"Cool! Let's play 2 truths and 1 lie. To determine who will answer first, let's play rock, paper, scissor," she said. She started and chose a scissor.

Andra: She went and chose paper. "Darn. I guess you go first."

Jasmine: "Okay, here it goes. I can play the flute, I live in the Philippines and I know how to surf," she said. "Which one is not true?" she asked smiling.

Andra: "You live in the philippines. Because right now you are living at camp."

Jasmine: She smiled. "I guess I couldn't trick you," she laughed. "Your turn now," she said.

Andra: "Let's see... I grew up in Alabama, I have a twin brother, I don't like arguing with other people."

Jasmine: "Ahmmm... That is quite tough," she said, furrowing her brows and her hand under her chin. "You have a twin brother?" she guessed.

Andra: "Nope. I do have a twin. Timora. And, I love arguing. Especially when people are wrong."

Jasmine: "Oh, I see," she said while nodding. "Your twin's also here?" she asked. When she said she loves to argue, she smiled. "I guess that really is true. To be honest, I can see a lawyer in you."

Andra: "Our father was a lawyer, so it's natural for Tim and I to want be lawyers ourselves." She grins. "Your turn"

Jasmine: She shook her head with a smile. "Maybe that's why. Okay, I hate cats, I hate dogs and I hate eating pork liver," she asked.

Andra: "Okay, the pork liver seems too easy, so, I'm guessing you hate cats."

Jasmine: She shook her head and smiled. "I guess I kind of give away answers," she laughed. "Anyway, it's your turn," she said.

Andra: "Alright, let's see.. Um, I've been here for a year, Tim and I spent years in foster care, I make rash decisions."

Jasmine: She smiled and took a guess,"You make rash decisions. I dont think you make rash decisions." She added laughing,"That wouldn't be attorney like."

Andra: "Damn. your right. Both Timora and I think our decisions through."

Jasmine: "Yes! A correct answer finally," she said excitedly. "Okay, I guess its my turn now. So, I went through a normal school, my dad's a farmer and my first monster was a giant scorpion," she said.

Andra: "Um, well because your mother is Demeter, your dad must be a farmer. A giant scorpian seems most likely."

Jasmine: "Actually, my father's a scientist, an agricultural scientist and he deals with plant genetics so technically, he isn't a farmer," she said with a smile.

Andra: "Darn it. All right. Um, I've joined an agency, I hate reading, and my favorite color is bright orange."

Jasmine: She rubbed her chin, thinking. "Most demigods are dyslexic and I have a gut feel that you've been on an agency before since it deals with law and order. So, I guess its the third statement," she said.

Andra: "Actually, I love reading."

Jasmine: "Aww, another missed shot," she said shaking her head. "So which one isn't true?" she asked

Andra: "Okay, so I have joined an agency, and my favorite color is bright orange. Those are true. The false one was that I hate reading. I actually love to read. It was hard before I go to camp, but I've had a child of Athena translate a few books to ancient greek for me. Because hat's easier. Your turn."

Jasmine: She nodded. "Oh, I see. Reading in Ancient Greek really would made the job easier," she said. "My star sign is Virgo, I was born on May and I know how to weave," she asked.

Andra: "Alright, well, you can't be a virgo and be born in May. Virgos are born in August and September. Your mother is Demeter, so it would make sense if you were born in the summer. So, I'm going to guess that you're not a virgo."

Jasmine: "Ahmm, I am a Virgo. I was conceived during harvest time and I arrived at my Father's doorstep a month old during the end of Spetember so he presumed I was born on the last day of August," she said. "So, your turn now," she said.

Andra: "Darn. I should have thoughtof that. Alright, um, I'm out of ideas."

Jasmine: "Same, same," she said. "Wanna do some strolling in the woods?" she asked.

Andra: She shrugs. "Sure. Why not."

Jasmine: She got down from the rock and sat. "So which way you want to go Lady Andra, left or right?" she said, making her voice bigger and said the line like a butler.

Andra: She laughs and jumps down. "Well, I'm left handed, so let's go left."

Jasmine: "Your wish is my command milady so let's go left," she said and wait for Andra to go left.

Andra:  She shakes her head. "Please, I'm not a saint."

Jasmine: She laughed. "'Course you aren't a saint, you're a demigod bruh," she said. They walked through the forest some more. "Ahmmm, Andra," Jasmine said and paused, looking around the trees. "Do you still know where we are?" she asked her.

Andra: "Not a clue." She looks around. "It's getting darker though."

Jasmine: She felt a bit frightened. "Sorry, Andra, this is my fault," she said, more panic creeping into her system. She is definitely not in good terms with being in an unfamiliar place without light.

Andra: She grabs Jasmine's hand. "It'll be alright Jas. We'll make it out. Some how, but we will."

Jasmine: Jasmine felt a bit better. "Thanks, Andra," she said. "So, what are we gonna do now?" she asked.

Andra: "Well, I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree, but we came in from the south right?"

Jasmine: She shrugged. "Sure. But, where's south?" she asked. Jasmine gave Andra an apologetic look as if asking her to pardon her lack of direction.

Andra: She gives her a look of disbelief. "Well, we are, officially, lost. Can't you speak to plants or something?"

Jasmine: "I could and I'll try," she said to Andra. She went to the nearest tree and touched its trunk. After several minutes of talking and nodding, she turned to Andra,"The tree told me that we were a bit far from camp and that South is there," she said, pointing towards her left. "It also said that should we get lost again, we could ask the other trees," she said, smiling a bit with relief.

Andra: She sighs in relief and smiles. "At least now we know where we are. Let's get out of here. I don't know about you, but I'm cold. And hungry. Maybe we can stop in town for dinner."

Jasmine: She smiled wider. "Sure, let's go drop by the town. I'm starving, too," she said

Andra: Her stomach growls audibly. She smiles sheepishly. "It's been a long day."

Jasmine: She smiled back. "True to that," she said. "So since you're better with directions, let's go," she said, staying a little behind Andra.

Andra: She gave her a look of impatience. "Really? Fine." She starts heading south, keeping the setting sun on her right.

Jasmine: She shrugged. "I'm really sorry 'bout being so poor at directions," she said and followed Andra.

Andra: Eventually they make it out of the forest and end up at the edge of town. "Well, that was fun. What do you want to eat?"

Jasmine: "I want buttered corn and cotton candy," she said with a smile. "What about you?" she asked her.

Andra: "Something with meat. And anything else. I'm not picky, just hungry." She shrugs apologetically.

Jasmine: "Let's go look for a store with meat in the menu," she said. Not being familiar with the town much, she doesn't have an idea where to eat. "You have any restaurant in mind?"

Andra: She smiles sheepishly. "Um, I don't really know where to go, I don't come here often, so... I guess we'll have to wing it." She looks around. "It sure is busy around here."

Jasmine: She grinned at her, "That sounds exciting to me," she said. "Let's start now," she said, grabbing Andra's hand and marched forward.

Andra: She sighed and followed. "Right, busy, full of people, in a place we don't know. What could possibly go wrong?"

Jasmine: She smiled when she heard Andra, "Aww, why the sigh? Let's just hope nothing could really go wrong?" she said with a huge smile. She stopped for a bit, "Could you smell what I smell? Smells like roasted meat to me?" she said.

Andra: She smiled. "Meat, is good. It also means that I get a good meal. So, what did you want?"

Jasmine: "Let me see," she said. "Since I smelled meat, I forgot cotton candy and buttered corn. I'll just eat roasted meat, too," she said with a smile.

Andra: Her mouth waters at the thought of a steak. She follows her nose to a small diner. She leads the way in and sat down at a booth.

Jasmine: She followed Andra to the diner excitedly and her mouth watered, too. "Do we use drachma here or dollars?" she asked Andra joking.

Andra: "Well, there are a few demi-gods here, all we need to do is find one and we're set. I don't have any mortal money unfortunately. I'll take out a drachma and see if our waitress knows what it is. Otherwise We might have to go to a different place to eat."

Jasmine: She dug out her pocket, and she drew sone dollar bills out. "Let's just stay here, I'll pay if we need to pay in dollar," she said with a smile and sat down, motioning Andra to come and sit, too. "I want a cheeseburger and fries," she said. Unexpectedly, her stomach growled a bit loudly. "Sorry," she said with a grin.

Andra: She nods. "Alright." She calls over the waitress and orders. "A steak please. Medium rare. And may I please get a side of cheese curds, and a sweet tea, plenty of ice." She smiles at Jas. "It's a southern thing. We like our sweet tea."

Jasmine: "I'd like to have a pizza with lots of meat toppings and cheese. For my drinks, I'll just have a glass of strawberry juice if you have," she said with a smile. "I'll prepare you a sweet tea when we get back to camp."

Andra: She smiles. "I'd like that. Thank you." The waitress gives Jasmine a knowing look.

Waitress: "I used to go to a camp once. But now I stay here to keep an eye on those who come into town. I make sure they're safe." She nods to the girls and heads into the kitchen.

Jasmine: Her eyes widen, following the waitress as she heads into the kitchen. "Did I hear her correctly? She is like us?" she turned to ask Andra, really really shocked.
