Kelsie: She felt funny, being at camp, she didn't really know what to think of the campers. For the most part they were nice, and Ashlee was really friendly, but today was going to be different; it was the first day that Ashlee wasn't going to be hanging out with Kelsie because she had something to do. So Kelsie just wandered around the camp aimlessly, she saw a piece of garbage here and there and put them in the trash when she could.
Shane: His body felt heavy. Oh, so heavy. But that was probably the result of not sleeping for four days straight. They call him the Owl Man. Because that's what he was. He guarded eagle owls. That meant he was as nocturnal as they were, but ither mandatory activities in the day meant he only had two or three hours of rest. At best. But then again, his insomnia didn't help either. It's been only a few days since he arrived at camp, and he was always too tired to enjoy anything. In the day, he was mostly asleep. In the end, everyone else was asleep. Not that he would've been able to socialize with them anyway. He had very little human contact, his life built around eagle owls. This made him a selective mute. He didn't understand how humans work. Sitting under a tree, he stared at his lap blankly.
Kelsie: As she continued to walk, she came to the edge of the forest, "Woah, cool, woods!" she said happily, "I wonder if there is a river or a creek!" with that thought in mind, Keslie quickly walked into the woods and began to amble about in them, frollicking to and fro in the leaves that lie on the ground. Then Kelsie found the stream, "Oooh water," She quickly walked towards the stream, pulled her shoes and socks off and stuck her feet in the cold water. That was when she noticed Shane, his presence scared her at first, but then she was curious, and slowly began to walk across the stream to see if this person was okay.
Shane: He could practically feel the bags under his eyes hang every time he tilted his head down. There was a dull buzz in his head. He was so tired. Yet it felt like there was a curse on him, preventing the poor nymph from delving into the sweet arms of slumber. His hand twitched impulsively, to which he brought up to hold his face. Only for a moment. The day was so bright, with his hand clamped over his face it felt like he was under the gaze of the sooting night. The day was certainly not for him. He did not even notice the nymph approaching him.
Kelsie: "Are you okay?" Kelsie asked from a distance, not sure if this person would be a threat to her or if he would lash out in anger, as he looked quite a bit like he was trying to sleep, or keep himself from going to sleep.
Shane: Truth was, he was doing both at the same time. Desperately trying to force his eyes to close and yet his insomnia kept them open. Hearing the voice of a female, he moved his hand slowly and looked her way. Shane was pretty sure his eyes were bloodshot by then. In response to her question, he gave a nod.
Kelsie: "Are you sure?" Kelsie asked, somewhat sensing that something might be wrong, but not really having been on earth long enough to really understand humans and demigods.
Shane: Well he was neither. He was a nymph just like her. Shane gave her another awkward nod as his eyes shifted here and there with uncertainty. He didn't know what he was supposed to do. Speak? He's not very good at speaking. What would he say? Errrr.... "...Shane." He pointed to himself.
Kelsie: Kelsie giggles, "Shane, I'm Keslie," She smiles, then looks at Shane, "Are you sure you don't need a pillow and a blanket?" She tilts her head to the side slightly, almost like a dog as she looks at him, wondering if he's actually okay.
