Character's Powers

  1. Children of Hecate have the ability to fire an intense beam of magical energy which will burn anything it touches. The ability can also be focused into small magical bullets, which have better range but are less damaging than a beam.
  2. Children of Hecate have the ability to use magic to electrically charge something made of metal for a short time.

  1. Children of Hecate are able to create a protective dome of magical energy around them for a short time.
  2. Children of Hecate are able to become ethereal in form for a short time, which temporarily causes all attacks to go through them. In this state, they cannot attack an opponent and if they do their ethereal state will dissipate instantly.

  1. Children of Hecate have the innate ability to see in all directions at once.
  2. Children of Hecate are innately stronger at night.
  3. Children of Hecate are able to communicate with the dead to gather information.
  4. Children of Hecate are adept at making potions and elixirs, however potions used in battle cannot be overly powerful or altering to the events of the battle. Potions that can automatically heal all wounds or restore all energy are examples of over-powered potions. Only descendants of Hecate/Circe and Lampades can create potions. Overconsumption of potions can result in overdose symptoms and some potions could have side-effects or not work at all.

  1. Children of Hecate can conjure spells to teleport themselves and allies. The further the distance, the more energy drained.
  2. Children of Hecate can cast a levitation spell on themselves for a short time which will allow them to fly, the longer they levitate the more power it drains. The spell can also be used items and enemies.
  3. Children of Hecate are able to use some healing spells to quickly heal minor wounds and slowly heal major wounds. Fatal wounds cannot be healed.

3 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Hecate are able to control the Mist around them, allowing them to create optical illusions that can fool even demigods. The illusions can confuse enemies with false memories, alter the appearance of the user or their allies, change the appearance of items or weapons or even alter the appearance of the environment to an extent. Changes to the Mist only last for a short time, mist control is less draining than custom spells. (6 month)

6 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Hecate have the ability to create new spells, whether they were trained, self-taught or devised the spell on the fly. The spells can be minor, such as locating, summoning animals, divination or controlling emotions. Or they can be more advanced and powerful such as controlling the elements, pure magical energy, necromancy, curses and summoning monsters or magical guardians. Spells cannot be overly powerful or controlling. The more complex and powerful the spell, the more energy it drains from the user.

9 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Hecate have the ability to focus all their magical abilities into transforming themselves into any living being, or even a being of their own imagination. This power is, in essence, the ability to shapeshift into anything the user can imagine. The user can transform into another human, an animal, a monster, or anything in between. The transformation can last as long as the user wishes it to, but the longer they hold their form the more it drains them. They cannot cast any spells while the transformation is in place and they cannot transform into anything overly powerful. (Like a rabbit that can make people’s heads explode with a thought. ) The form they shift into cannot be larger than 2 to 3 times the human size of the user, and after the user resumes their regular form they are severely drained. Unable to move from exhaustion and they could possibly faint. This power can only be used once in a fight.

  1. Children of Hecate typically love the magical arts, many of them are known for writing spellbooks. Her children have created/re-introduced and improved spells and techniques all over history.
  2. Necromancy is commonly a favored magical art among children of Hecate.
  3. Children of Hecate are known for being quite mysterious.
  4. Children of Hecate are often more active and exhibit better moods at night and in dark environments.
  5. Children of Hecate wield innate knowledge and understanding of the Mist.

Ignacio Lyric Arcano ~ The Arcane Warrior

More Info:

-Ghost blade

 Age: 19  Height: 6'5"  Weight: 295 lbs
 Sexuality: Straight  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Mableton, GA  Main Weapon: Aldrid is a stygian iron straight blade katana with a single edge and a soshu kitae style slanted tip. Aldrid is made more special by the spirit attached to it whose name is Arthur a once demigod who the sword originally belonged to. Arthur has the ability to materialize anywhere in a ten foot area by the sword and can show himself to people if he so chooses but he usually doesn't because he doesn't care much for others. When Ignacio is fighting if Arthur lends power then the sword will blaze with a light blue ethereal flame while in this state the blade can project attacks up to eight feet(such as a slash)that act like a normal sword attack which can be defended. Beyond the sword has one more ability while Arthur is lending power to the blade and it can become intangible. Besides those two abilities the flames look extremely cool and can only be used for five minutes. (Arthur was able to bind himself to the sword because he was a child of Melinoe and had knowledge of the after life. To bind himself to the sword required him to sacrifice his body and demigod powers so he is just a funny, sarcastic, and blunt ghost sword now.)

Elysia is sitting within the library, reading mystical tomes. The foolish mortals knew not that this was true magic. By chance, or by fate, Elysia comes across Ignacio, a fellow child of Hecate, the Magic Queen. Will these two become friends or foes?

Elysia: Elysia sat, crosslegged, in the archives of the library. She skimmed the tomes, glancing at the book on Pyromancy and the Necromancy books. She needed a very specific tome.

Ignacio Ignacio finds his way to the Greek myth section of the library looking for a book about a warrior and dragon This will be the first of many quest for items. His thoughts are geared toward finding the legend and getting out quickly but he takes a chance and happens to glance at the really pretty girl sitting on the floor. Whoa. he thinks and his lips parts slightly but he looks closer and past the mist the title is in Greek A spell tome on Necromancy!. His thoughts run wild and he decides to keep his head low not wanting any trouble from a necromancer.

Elysia: Elysia grabs the necromancy tome and flips through it's pages quickly, before snarling and throwing the book, unintentionally, near Ignacio. "Where is that grimoire?!" She hisses, before grinning. She jumps up, and pulls down a thick, leather tome, the words spelling out "The Book of The Damned." She purs, before pulling out a thin little booklet, emblazoned fiercely in blood, Nadia's Codex.

Ignacio: Ignacio reflexively catches the book without glancing her way thanks to his ability to see all around him. He tosses the book back casually not paying attention to whether or not she was paying attention because he finds the legend of the dragon. "Time to see a man about a sword!" he loud whispers to himself but Arthur, the ghost possessing his Katana, grumbles about him needing more weapons if he is there.

Elysia: Elysia grunts. "Swords are not very useful in true combat. Yes they are perhaps the easiest, but they are short ranged and flimsy." She comments, grabbing the necromancy tome.

Ignacio: Ignacio tries to bite his tongue but in the end he can't do it and turns to the girl slowly "Excuse me?". He isn't mad just slightly annoyed someone would say that "Do you know the skill and hours and practice it takes to wield a weapon much less a sword." He tucks the book under his arm "I have assets beyond simple swordsmanship however I trust in myself and in my blade. Magic on the other hand is not all that useful in True combat." He makes air quotes before continuing "Of all magic's necromancy is the worse at least steel was never alive." Ignacio makes a move to walk past her to find a quiet corner of the library.

Elysia: Elysia rolls her eyes. "I was never saying weapons aren't useful. But the sword is the one weapon everyone prepares for. Take myself for an example. I use a whip and some knives. My associate also uses a scythe." She snarls, using magic to teleport him closer. "Necromancy is a very versatile magic. I may not be well versed in it, but Magic itself is infinetely more potent than a measly sword." She growls.

"Besides, I'm not studying Necromancy. I'm trying to decode this damned book." She gestures to the Book of the Damned. "I need to find a certain set of spells."

Ignacio: "My sword would tear through magic on any day of the week and I know because I can use magic." He whispers at her fiercely "Before things get out of hand and you manage to get on my nerves even more. I am Ignacio, Son of Hecate." He holds out his hand as a gentleman would but grumbles about her being like the sister he never wanted.

Elysia: Elysia hears his grumble and snickers. "My my my, a gentleman!" She shakes his hand airily, yet firmly. "Elysia, Daugther of Hecate." She smirks. "Magic is infinitely more potent, and versatile. Unless it is a magic sword..but it could be." She shrugs casually. "Say, would you help me decode this? I have only recently begun my..goal, to gain more magical knowledge and power."

Ignacio: Ignacio mentally curses and Arthur finally stops being pissed at him long enough for the ghostly man to laugh at him through a mental message. Haha she is actually yer sistah lad. How much of a coincidence does it 'ave to be 'Nacio Ignacio ignores this and shakes his head "Magic is not my thing. You are better off creating a decryption spell or multiple". He glances at the text "Because, we are supposed to be able to read Greek and that looks like someone put our Dyslexia into a blender"

Elysia: Elysia raises an eyebrow. "Spells, admittedly, are not my forte, at least not that sort. My..variety, consists of..well I'll let you see, yourself." She brings out a thin, spiral bound note-book. In a few of the pages are healing spells, a spell to light someone or thing on fire, and several acid spells, as well as a pain spell, labeled simply Cruciatus.

Ignacio: Ignacio chuckles and shakes his head "If I had a dollar for ever one of us that has a spell book then I would have at least a thousand by now." Ignacio creates a barrier that blocks sight and obscure view on the entire row they are in with a simple thought "I'm not really into spell books because a lot of what I want to do I know by heart or make up on the fly." He nods to the slight distortion of air cast by the bubble "I am one of the few of our brothers and sisters that considers themselves a warrior of the Arcane"

Elysia: Elysia snorts. "I am nothing but an Arcanist. A Mage. Archmage. Sorceress. Whatever you wish to call it."

Ignacio: "Most are and there is nothing wrong with it I suppose. Though...I have met almost all our brothers and sisters" He meets her eyes slowly "Why haven't I met you before, sis" He doesn't say it as a question knowing the most likely answer and wary of Arthurs's voice and warnings in his mind.

Elysia: Elysia shrugs. "I don't go to that camp." She sniffs with disdain, before picking up a spellbook, labeled Elemental Magics.

Ignacio: Ignacio breathes out a heavy sigh knowing what is about to come next. Books fly off the shelves and onto the floor, while a gust of wind sweeps through rustling pages, Arthur forms outside of the sword in a fit of rage. "So we have a member of the Broken Covenant in our midst. To whose house do you belong lassie?" The Irish ghost asks pissed off and accent thick.

Elysia: Elysia raises a hand, to contain her chuckles, before she deadpans. "Lassie? I'm sorry, do I look like a lassie to you? And they are not houses, they are factions. I belong to that of Civitas Popularis, supposedly "Equality for all!" but, honestly, as long as Opus Superum is around, I'm not uniting." She grunts, before using the mist to cover anything up. "I'm not going to that camp to worship my own mother or family." She spits out.

Ignacio: "'Nacio let's be on boyo. She's insulted mah pride and insulted her own companions. She isn't worth the time a day to give her. Even ya are related" Ignacio listens to Arthur and knows he is right so he drops the barrier and makes his way to the door of the library deciding to not go further down a dangerous path. With family like that who needs anyone.

Elysia: Elysia growls, and teleports in front of Ignacio, stopping him. "My companions are those of Civitas Popularis. Have you HEARD the Opus Superum bratlings?! Even if I don't support the gods entirely, none of them deserve that sort of treatment!" She growls. "You will listen to me, brother dearest." She snarks.

Ignacio: Ignacio looks her from her shoes to her face and his eyebrows raise "I will do as I please. As far as I know you insulted camp, insulted my own companion, and by extension of those two thins insulted me. I don't know if you have anything else to say but I don't so speak quick, Sis" Though Ignacio is willing to listen Arthur makes his presence known yet again "'Nacio just step through the doors boyo. She has no power over you lad. If she wants an audience. Have her fight to say her piece!" Arthur laughs "With her talk of unity though, I don't think she is up for a fight. She doesn't even consider the sword a true weapon!"

Elysia: Elysia raises an eyebrow. "I never insulted your camp. I have a boyfriend in such a camp. I just have no desire to worship my family. I said the sword is an easily counterable weapon." She turns to the sword, glaring cooly and airily. "Have no power? Fight, isn't up for a fight?" Her eyes gleam darkly.

"Are you questioning my fighting capabilites, little sword?" She turns to Ignacio. "We are family, like it or not. Will you let this sword insult me and our family, by extension?"

Ignacio: "I have come to know a simple fact. All family is not blood and" He levels his gaze at her "All blood is not family. We at camp are not worshippers of our parents or the gods like them and this blade. The spirit inside of it, is the only family I have had for a long time." He stares at Elysia coolly "Arthur made a good point. Fight me. Earn my respect and earn the title of family. You may share my mother but we don't share anything but that." He raises an eyebrow questioningly "What's it going to be sis?"

Elysia: Elysia's eyes narrow, gleaming. "On one condition. No external help. Which means that spirit cannot help you." She hisses. "And until I "earn" your title of family, you may call me by my own title. The Queen of The Crossroads." She sneers.

Ignacio: Ignacio shakes his head "The spirit can't fight. Nonetheless I am using the katana." He shakes his head at her title "I am not part of your court so I won't call you a queen. If I say anything from that title it is road. No more no less." With that he walks outside and towards the parking lot, a space where there are fewer cars.

Elysia: Elysia raises an eyebrow. "He can give you advise or tips." She mutters under her breath, forcefully muting the spirit. "There." She follows, before, while Ignacio is turned, she lashes her whip at him.

Ignacio: Ignacio obviously can't detect the subtle use of a spell but he doesn't need to because the sword Arthur resides in, has a nature that resists magick. What Ignacio does notice is the whip lashed at his back while he isn't even turned around and had he not been born with the ability to see in all directions at once; it might have been deadly. Ignacio was however and he has the katana unsheathed so quickly the sheathe rings with his slide. He spins and lines up his katana with the whip planning to deflect it or cut it in half.

Elysia: Elysia's whip vibrates, not cut in half or even really scratched. She fires a blast of energy from her finger tips.

Ignacio: Ignacio bats the whip out of the way but soon has to contend with the beam of energy his Elysia fires at him. Ignacio side steps avoiding the beam and sprints the distance between him and Elysia; closing it in seconds. Ignacio slides to a stop a couple of inches before reaching Elysia and, not losing his momentum, slices at Elysia from his position. His sword fires a projectile beam of energy at his sister from her blind side, he wonders if she will be able to block it. Most dodge. Bet she'll teleport.

Elysia: Elysia raises a dome of magical energy quickly, blocking the beam as well as his slice. She slides downwards, hooking her foot around Ignacio's rapidly and promptly bringing him down to the ground. She then stands up and fires another beam.

Ignacio: Ignacio uses the mist and makes his sister believe the beam went through his chest. In all reality he teleports to the top of the library building which overlooks the parking lot. He slices again holding the projectile beams until he is ready, making six of them, like a star with only lines and fires them. He drops the illusion just as he releases the projectile slices giving her time to dodge if she can but, Ignacio keeps his hand wrapped tightly around his katana and in the other charges a beam wary of her teleporting to the roof.

Elysia: Elysia sees straight through the mist, hardly phased. "You do realize you put a ridiculous excess mist to make such an illusion, right? That's not how the Mist would even work in this context, brother dearest." She snarks, before letting out a guttural roar, teleporting behind Ignacio. "Ta!" She utters, a jet of flames escaping from her breath, as she breathes the fire at Ignacio. "Ta Llaberif!" She hisses, throwing fireballs at Ignacio.

Ignacio: Ignacio was ready for her to teleport and spins around cutting through her fire with a simple slice of his sword; causing the fire balls to disperse. He steps forward quickly and thrusts his left hand forward, firing his own beam of magick energy, but he strips it of the burning effect. Ignacio returns her action and fires the blunt beam at point blank range with enough; the attack containing enough force to break the bones it comes in contact with. 'Nacio, don't you think it is about time we stop playin these games with the lass. She can't possibly have anything to say we don't know or can't find out. End this quickly boyo. Ignacio shakes his head and sends a mental message back It isn't about hearing her out. I just don't think I will need to do so. If she pushes me then I use the spell

Elysia: Elysia teleports a few feet away, raising a dome. "Impressive, most people don't think to try and dissipate Ta, or Ta Llaberif." She nods grudgingly. "Aporrófise ti mageía!" She shouts, grabbing the magic energy with her hand and, much to Ignacio's shock, the beam starts to shrink in size the longer it touches Elysia. She starts walking forward, the beam shrinking once again. She continues walking forward.
