Character's Powers

Powers of a Child of Ares

Offensive[]

  1. Children of Ares can decrease an opponent’s strength and combat abilities for a short time, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
  2. Children of Ares are able to clap their hands so hard and fast due to their enhanced strength that it sends a small shock-wave out. The shock-wave generates enough force to knock an opponent off their feet and possibly leaves bruises on their skin.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Ares can become resistant to all types of physical attacks for a short time.
  2. Children of Ares have the ability to call forth civil justice onto the battlefield for a short time, making all opponents lose the will to fight if their actions are unjust. However, if the actions of the opponent are justifiable the power becomes redundant, and if the user attempts to attack the opponent while the power is in use it immediately wears off.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Ares are innately proficient in all forms of combat.
  2. Children of Ares are stronger and faster than the average human. Their skin is also capable of enduring more injuries.
  3. Children of Ares are always emitting an aura of violence and war, which makes people around them more likely to attack each other and start fights. They can shut it off for a long time.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Ares have the inhuman ability to leap great distances at once which can be used to dodge or attack. Upon landing, a small tremor is unleashed which causes anybody within a few feet to lose their balance.
  2. Children of Ares have the ability to empower strength upon nearby allies and instil fear upon nearby enemies with a deafening war cry.
  3. Children of Ares have the ability to enchant nearby weapons with either a positive effect or negative effect for the duration of a weapon; some examples would be increasing the sharpness of a blade or dulling it.
  4. Children of Ares are sometimes able to cause a small (3-5) group, to turn against each other by inducing a lust for violence and victory in combat. The targets would become irrational and fight among themselves determined to be the last warrior standing, causing chaos for a short time. The more affected the more energy is drained.

3 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Ares can create an illusion of massive bloodshed, destruction and devastation on a battlefield, instilling everyone around them with cowardice and terror, causing them to panic and be routed for some time, until it wears off and they return to battle. Similarly, they can also do the opposite, causing everyone nearby to go into a battle frenzy, in which they recklessly fight the enemy. This power drains them significantly.

6 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Since their father has command over dead soldiers on the losing side of every war in history, children of Ares have the ability to summon a large group of armed skeletal soldiers, up to seven, which can then be controlled by the mind of their summoner. The longer the period of time for which they are summoned, the more the summoner is drained. Ex: The user can summon skeletal red coats, confederate soldiers, Nazis etc. Dead Soldiers who belonged to the winning side of the war cannot be summoned.

9 Months After a Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Ares can draw power from all the violent actions and desires they’ve seen, felt, or committed in their lives and become an embodiment of war for a short time, in this state they are as twice as strong and fast than before and are immune to all attacks. They emit a powerful aura which somewhat makes enemies think they are weak and doomed for failure. Once the transformation subsides and the user reverts to normal, they are immensely drained, cannot move and could possibly faint.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Ares are usually more courageous than most, especially when facing danger.
  2. As Ares is the god of civil order, his kids are often adept at creating order when there is chaos and fighting around them
  3. Children of Ares tend to love the thrill of battle and fighting, feeling natural when partaking in combat.
  4. Children of Ares often love the chance to show off their abilities, they’re often somewhat arrogant and hotheaded.
  5. Children of Ares typically have the potential to become great soldiers, agents or generals. Able to perform remarkable feats within the Military.

Roleplay[]

Coffee[]

Kyuhah:  Kyuhah narrowed his eyes at the cup of coffee with disgust. It was a known fact to anyone close enough to him that he believes coffee is disgusting. It was a miracle by itself that Seokjin managed to get him to try a latte, but coffee by itself... No. Never. But that was exactly what Seokjin was trying to do, get him to try a cup of coffee. "I'm not drinking this, Jin," he sighed.

Seokjin: He sipped from his own coffee as he pushes the saucer of Kyuhah's cup at him. "You've drank latte; coffee won't be so different," he argued. "And it won't be that all bitter, four spoons of sugar is already too sweet for goodness's sake, Kyuhah." He understood Kyuhah's dislike for coffee, but Seokjin believes that coffee is one of the best things that has ever existed in the world, and he'd like the other boy to enjoy that goodness, too.

Kyuhah: "Why do you like this stuff so much?" He continued staring at the cup as if it had murdered his family and started World War Three in the process. "Ugh, caffeine. This is why I don't drink soda," he said, shuddering. He looked up at Seokjin, biting his lip as he stared into the other's eyes. "I don't want to."

Seokjin: "'Sleep is a poor excuse for coffee.' Do you know how much coffee helps artists like you? Well, I know you resigned and all, but you get the idea." He pushed the cup nearer. "C'mon. Just one sip. In exchange, I'll try to drink your strawberry yogurt juice or whatever you call it. Promise." The idea of drinking such a sweet beverage would be poison to his taste, but . . . the coffee is more important.

Kyuhah: He raised an eyebrow and chuckled at the younger. "You mean a smoothie?" he questioned. "As much as I would love to see you try not to throw up because of 'disgusting sugar poison' normal people call a smoothie, I'm not drinking it. You like coffee, I don't. I like sweets, you don't. I think this supports the opposites attract mantra." He reached out to ruffle Seokjin's hair and shot him an innocent smile.

Seokjin: He scrunched his face. "'Opposites attract' doesn't mean you won't drink coffee." He rested his elbows on the table and clasped his hand together. As ridiculous as it may seem, he tried to make a cute and pleading face,  with staring eyes and a pouting mouth. "Pleeeeeease. Just one sip. Then it's done." For now, he thought.

Kyuhah: "It's like your life depends on me drinking this coffee," he laughed. "Okay, one sip. That's all, okay?" Kyuhah sighed, lifting the coffee cup away from the saucer and bringing it to his lips. He closed his eyes and took a slow sip before setting the cup down and scrunching up his face. "It tastes weird. I don't know if I like it."

Seokjin: He clapped his hands in delight. "If you try to drink it all up, you'll like the weirdness. But, since you put in too much sugar, it won't really be, you know, the coffee normal people tend to drink." He shrugged it off. "Well, at least you sipped." He knitted his brows and thought about what he said. Smoothie, huh. I shouldn't have said that. He then became all smiles. "Now that's one thing off my to-do list."

Kyuhah: "You have... a to-do list? For what?" he asked, surprised. He was about to continue interrogating Seokjin about this "to-do list" but the sound of his phone ringing stopped him. He took his phone out of his pocket and barely glanced at the Caller ID before accepting the call. "Byungcheol-ah," Kyuhah groaned into the phone. "This is the fifth time today and it's not even the afternoon. Be patient, we'll get there." The three of them had planned to go into town later in the day, but Byungcheol kept bothering Kyuhah. "Go get yourself a boyfriend or something," he mumbled. "I'm hanging up, don't call again."

Seokjin: He just stuck out his tongue as a reply. Then Byungcheol called. Again. "Gods, shut your phone down. The next time he calls, some buggy monster might show up. But that's a good suggestion, getting a boyfriend," he mused and chuckled. He glanced at his wristwatch, sighed, and slouched on his chair. "Why do we have to go to town? it's just boring," he complained softly. He yawned and deadpanned, "I want a nap."

Kyuhah: "You should've gone to sleep early last night," he taunted in a sing-song voice. "But that is a good suggestion..." He clasped his fingers together, his smile unreadable. "I have something to add to your to-do list." His eyes sparkled with an unknown intention.

Seokjin: His lids were tempting to close. "Hmm?" he mumbled dreamily. "Why do you get to add on my list . . . it's my list . . . do your . . . own . . ." Then he dozed off, his head hanging between his shoulders and his body uncomfortably sitting on his chair.

Kyuhah: Kyuhah sighed and pushed himself away from the table before standing and walking over to Seokjin's side. He wrapped his arms around the other and lifted him out of the chair, arranging the younger in his arms so he'd be carrying him bridal style, and headed out of the cafe, ignoring the strange looks he was receiving. He opened the passenger door to his BMW and sat Seokjin down in the seat, strapping him in with his seatbelt. He closed the door and went to the other side of the car, opened the door, got inside, put on his seatbelt, and turned on the car. He quickly texted Byungcheol they were on their way and turned his phone off to avoid distractions while he drove.

Seokjin: He really should've slept at eleven last night. He suddenly felt like as if someone was juggling him around, then as if he was floating in air. Ah, floating in the air was good. That meant he could fly. Then he fell, falling hard. No, I wanna fly more. A faint vibration went up his whole body, and a soft movement was lulling him back to a deep sleep. It was so good, but a sudden jolt that almost made him fly from his seat (and fortunately, he didn't) woke him up. "W-W-What was that?" he asked sleepily. It looks like the car he was in just floored the brake so abruptly.

Kyuhah: He tapped his finger on the steering wheel as he waited for the light to turn green. He glanced at Seokjin, who was now awake and spoke sheepishly. "Did I wake you up? I'm so sorry. The light surprised me. You're okay, right?" he questioned him. "Do you want me to drop you off at Camp so you can get so more sleep?"

Seokjin: He sat up straight and rubbed his eyes. "N-No, no. I'm . . . oh goodness, sorry I feel asleep. Why can't just humans roam at night and sleep at day?" he murmured, giving a last yawn. The light finally turned green, and the car hit the gas. His mind was pretty much fuzzy even if he just slept for a short while. "Wait, where . . .?" He'd been drinking coffee; guess it never really had any effect on him. Ridiculous.

Kyuhah: He smiled a little, sparing his lover another glance as he continued down the road. "We're going to meet Byungcheol at the amusement park, remember?" he reminded Seokjin, chuckling a little at the other's grogginess. The other's sleepy state merely amused him and he resisted the urge to kiss his lover's cheek which would draw his attention away from the road. "You sure?"

Seokjin: "Byungcheol . . . ah, Cheolie, yes, of course," he mumbled, squinting his eyes. I need a stronger coffee. The road went straight ahead, filled with noisy vehicles that kind of reminded Seokjin of his times back in South Korea with his dad and uncle. He watched Kyuhah as he drove, and noticed how his face is full of color. Well, I guess he sleeps early. Sleepy as he was, he fought the itch of wanting to hug him and just take a comfortable slumber then and there. If only there was another driver . . . He scratched his head. "Hey, Kyu, when did you look so . . . alive?" he blurted.

Kyuhah: He blinked for a few seconds, his mind drawn blank from the unexpected question. Then he began laughing, throwing his head back and shaking it in disbelief. "Ah Jin, so adorable," he murmured under his breath. "Well, I am alive and moving—not dead, so I'd generally assume I'd look alive?" he chuckled. Kyuhah could see the arch of the amusement park sign from here, and beyond that, the parking lot which was filled maybe to the brim. He began slowing down as he approached the gate.

Seokjin: He groaned. "You know that's not what I mean." He turned to the windshield, and one glance from the parking lot, he began to feel so not enthusiastic about going inside. "Are you sure this is the park where we're supposed to meet?" he asked. "Maybe it was an urban park or some place with less people?" His chin rested on the dashboard while the seatbelt held him close to the chair. His brows knitted. "Does Byungcheol own a car?" Then he added another random thought, "I need an espresso."

Kyuhah: He smirked, "I know, I know. Just playing with you." After paying the man at the gate toll, he continued driving into the parking lot and slowed his speed as he searched for a parking space. "Yeah, this is it. Cheol has been ranting about wanting to go to an amusement park for days, and yes, he has a car, Jinnie. Speaking of him, can you call him and ask where he is? He said he parked somewhere in the front and there was a parking space near him that was open." He drove into another aisle and continued searching for Byungcheol's car. "You just had coffee by the way. Too much caffeine is bad for you."

Seokjin: He patted his side pocket and fished his phone out. "I can't imagine how he can keep out other cars from parking in that vacant space," he said as he searched for Cheol's contact. He pressed the call button and placed the phone over his right ear. It rang few times before the other side picked up. "Yes, Cheol, don't ask what have happened to me." He raised a brow. "He shut it off 'cause you were pestering to much. We're actually already here in the park, where are you?" A long pause. "You sure? All right, don't hang up." Seokjin turned to Kyuhah. "Turn right, over there; he's at the tail end of the row on the . . left. Yes left."

Kyuhah: He followed Seokjin's instructions which led him to park in a space just a few down the row from Byungcheol's. He turned off the engine and opened the door to climb out. He waited for Seokjin to get out before heading around the car and towards Byungcheol's. The other boy was waving excitedly from where he stood, causing Kyuhah to chuckle as he neared him. "Annyong Cheol-ah, mianhae (Hello Cheol, I'm sorry)," he sighed.

Byungcheol: He briefly engulfed Kyuhah in a hug for he was aware of Seokjin's presence behind Kyuhah and he wasn't up for being murdered. "Gwenchana (It's okay)," he beamed.  "We can finally go! Isn't this great?"

Seokjin: "Annyong," he greeted,  pretty much gloomily. "I really should've put the gum in my pocket. Cheolie, you seen any candy store around here?" he asked. "Before we go, uh, riding scary rides?"

Byungcheol: Byungcheol pouted, staring at Seokjin questionably. "What's wrong, Seokjin? You don't seem very excited," he inquired. He made a move to step closer to Seokjin but the look that flickered across Kyuhah's face for a split second canceled any previous thought about the action. "Have you been to an amusement park before?"

Seokjin: He waved a hand. "No, it's nothing like that. It's just . . ." He looked up and spotted a roller coaster to his right, its train descending so fast and the screams, he thought, were over-reactions. " . . . I don't like noisy places. But if you like it, I can't say no. So, I'm fine. I just need some bubblegums."

Kyuhah: He trailed Seokjin's line of vision to see the roller coaster descend behind the large walls surrounding the park. He wanted to suggest getting headphones for the other, but they most likely wouldn't be allowed on the roller coasters, if Seokjin even agreed to ride them. He tsked and slipped his hands into his pockets as he took a glance at his lover. "There's probably candy stores inside the park. Let's go, we didn't come here to stand in the parking lot," Kyuhah sighed. He led the way without a comment from the other two and paid at the tolls for all of them despite Byungcheol's complaint. He requested a map and the person behind the counter gave it to him. He handed the map to Seokjin and continued walking.

Seokjin: He smiled at Kyuhah before he turned to lead the way in. Having somebody pay for him, he was glad he ddin't have to stick his hand in his pocket again and search for scattered money. He didn't understand why he felt so lazy this day, and all his energy could muster was to try to go with the flow. He examined the map Kyuhah gave him, and he looked back and forth at Kyu and Cheol. "Okaaaay, so . . . where do you guys want to go? I mean, after the candy store?" He studied the map once more and found the store symbol. He yelled, "Candy store!" and skipped quickly towards it, leaving the others to trail along behind him.

Kyuhah: Kyuhah shook his head and chuckled as he watched the other happily trot to the candy store. He took out his phone and calmly followed while Byungcheol watched in complete confusion, muttering, "What have I been missing for five years?" under his breath. They entered the candy store and Kyuhah allowed Seokjin to wander wherever he wanted while he waited by the counter. Byungcheol had previously said he saw something he'd wanted to check out so he'd meet up with them later. "Found anything yet, babe?" He called out to Seokjin, looking up from his phone.

Seokjin: The candy store was as good and colourful as he expected it to be. There were sweets in all corners, walls, and some stuffed toys, like huge teddy bears and rainbow ponies. He checked each type of candy, and with that, it seemed like he'd walked every inch of the store. He took those he thought were mildly sweet, those bursting with colours, and those minty bubble gums. Soon he had his hands full, and remembered that he had companions waiting for him. Shaking his head, he nonchalantly let his candies drop on the counter. "Guess these are all, Kyu," he replied. It was totally a good thing he didn't forget to bring his wallet.

Kyuhah: He raised an eyebrow in surprise. "I thought you said you didn't like sweet things. That's a lot of candy." He turned his phone off and slipped back into his pocket before turning to the cashier. "Here, I'll pay, alright?" He asked Seokjin.

Seokjin: Bringing wallets is a must-do. He shook his head and took his own out. "Since I just suddenly have the overwhelming desire to eat sweets, for the first time in years, I'll pay myself," he replied, winking at Kyuhah. "Here you go, miss," he told the cashier as he gave a mix of a few bills and coins. The cashier mumbled something about how people even get to eat sweets. She probably didn't like sweets, too, he thought, and took the paper bag full of his wonder-filled snacks. Then he looped his arm around his lover's and yelled, maybe to Cheol, "Okay! It's fun time!"

Kyuhah: To be honest, Kyuhah was completely caught off guard by the other's sudden cheerfulness, especially compared to moments ago where he'd been dozing off in the car. He didn't say anything, just smiled in amusement and strolled out the door with Seokjin. "Cheol said he wanted to check something out. He said he'd text us when he finished. So, what do you want to ride first?"

Seokjin: He closed his eyes for a bit. "Hmm . . . I can actually go for a coaster right now. Or the pendulum-thinggy one? What do you say?" he asked Kyuhah. He took a chocolate bar out of the bag, scratched the cover off, and took a fourth. He munched it whole. It was just right. He broke another fourth. "Here. Open your mouth, Kyu."

Kyuhah: He was ever so a bit more tempted to call a hospital and report that Seokjin needed medical attention... or maybe a mental hospital. He leaned in to take the candy bar with his mouth but shifted so that his lips landed on his lover's. He smiled against Seokjin's lips and lifted on of his hands to caress his cheek as he kissed him.

Seokjin: His brain felt like jumping against his skull in surprise as Kyuhah suddenly kissed him. His hand with the bar jerked up and some chocolate smeared against Kyu's jawline. Gods, why did he kiss me when my mouth's still full of chocolate??? In a swift move, he wiped the smear with his thumb as he cupped his face all the same. He wnated it to last longer, then he remembered they were in a candy store. He put the bar between their lips. "You should give me a warning next time."

Kyuhah: "But I wanted chocolate," he replied with a flirty wink. He took a bite off of the candy bar and let it sit between his lips as he shot another wink at the younger and turned around, exiting the candy store as he at the bar.

Seokjin: He playfully rolled his eyes. "Oh, please." He followed Kyuhah outside the store, and he scanned the whole area. Suddenly, he felt weary again as the number of people walking in the park was overpowering. His face went to jolly from grouchy. The screams irritated him again. "Uh, when are we going?"

Kyuhah: "Aw, I was enjoying Cheerful! Seokjin. We're going to that roller coaster over there by the way." He pointed to a large blue track a couple of hundred meters ahead that had a coaster racing down it as the riders screamed obnoxiously. "It looks fun."

Seokjin: He started chewing on a coffee-flavoured sweet. The taste got the blood running in his veins again. "I will take the very front seat," he told Kyuhah. He went to jump ahead of Kyu but stopped immediately and turned to face the other. "Byungcheol?"

Kyuhah:"This is like the third time I told you this. Cheol went off to check something out. He'll text us when—" he was interrupted by the ringing of his phone. "I guess that's him." He took his phone out of his pocket and accepted the call which resulted in the sound of Byungcheol yelling in the background. "Byungcheol-ah? Hey, are you okay? Wait... Where? I... Okay, we're coming just keeping fighting them off alright...?" He hung up and sighed. "And this is why I can't peacefully go anywhere anymore." He turned to Seokjin. "Herd of fangirls, feel free to pray for Cheol."

Seokjin: While Kyuhah was on the call, his heart started beating faster for Cheol's safety. Then . . . "F-fangirls?" He put his hand on his heart and sighed loudly. "And I thought monsters arrived. I'm saying thanks in my prayer that I've never been an entertainer."

Coaster[]

Kyuhah: It came time for the two of them to get on the roller coaster, once they had reached the front of the line. Kyuhah allowed Seokjin to go first, deciding to take a spot next to him wherever he decided to sit. He checked his phone for the time before turning it off and putting it away to make sure it wouldn't fall out during the ride.

Seokjin: He was too busy jumping up and down, waiting for the train to come back, and focusing on getting the front seat. Immediately, as the passengers got off, he dashed towards his expected seat. "Kyu! Over here!" he yelled, patting the seat beside him.

Kyuhah:  He followed the other and sat beside him, dismissing the other's random eccentric behaviour as another mood swing. "I'm guessing you're excited," he mused. He wanted to lean in for another kiss but a roller coaster wasn't the best place to show physical affection, especially if they were going to be going up and down and interrupted by a lot of screaming.

Seokjin: He kept patting the restraints as people filled the train. He made sure his wallet and his bag of candies were safe inside his little sling bag. The the train started moving. Screams erupted from behind. "Kyu, we should've brough Cheol. His reaction must be priceless," he muttered to Kyuhah. He looked at him. "One last kiss before we might go to a Final Destination-like death?"

Kyuhah: "He's dealing with the fangirls. I feel kind of guilty leaving him there with false hope, but I wouldn't be any help, just draw more attention," he murmured back. It was as if Seokjin had read his mind, and he smiled at him. "Sure, even if we're not going to die, may I remind you."

Seokjin: He smiled. "Wonderful." He leaned in to kiss him. Like always, his heart started to flutter as his lips touched Kyu's, and he thought of doing it while the train went round and round, but that wouldn't be a very good idea. The train moved faster.

Kyuhah: He wrapped his arms around Seokjin, pulling him as close as he could as they sat in the train car. He did admit this was an odd moment to be sharing a kiss, but it felt no less magical than a kiss in the street on a rainy day. He restrained himself from acting upon his desires to have more and pulled away, smiling at the younger as the train went downhill.

Seokjin: As he pulled away, the train said hi to the sunlight and climbed up the steep rail. He tried his best to keep his feet inside, thumping them repeatedly against the floor. They reached a breathtaking vantage point, and before they fell to their miserable screams, Seokjin had spotted more rides to try. Then, he didn't know if he was deafened by the screams or the howl of the wind.

Kyuhah:  As the train shot down, Kyuhah cheered, excited as the train went on loopity-loops and up and down and around and around and around. Over the sounds of exaggerated screaming was him pointing out upcoming hills and whirlpool like tracks to Seokjin until the ride was over. When the ride did finish, Kyuhah happily exclaimed he wanted to do it again and got out of the car, oblivious to a couple of other riders who had dashed over to the trash can to vomit. "Okay, what now?" he asked Seokjin.

Seokjin: After the ride, he jumped again and again. "More!" he said. Then he remembered the other daring ride he saw a walk away. "Kyu, wanna try the reverse bungee? I don't know why I've never tried it, but a first try with you would be awesome-r." He smiled a really huge smile. "Agree? But . . . ah, sorry for asking this again, but I'm just pretty much worried. Byungcheol, now?"

Kyuhah: "Byungcheol, ride, okay. Gotcha." He nodded, taking out his phone to text Byungcheol. "When he called he said he wasn't too far ahead of this ride, so I bet if we keep going straight we'll run into him or someone who's seen him."

Seokjin: He nodded. "All right." He pointed at the direction of the bungee ride. "Let's go?" He looped his arm once again around Kyuhah's and dragged him with him, unintentionally shoving people in the way.

Kyuhah: Kyuhah allowed Seokjin to drag him around, but continually apologized to whoever they bumped into. "Maybe we should slow down Jin," he pointed out. "I know you're excited but we're pushing everyone around us."

Seokjin: He heard Kyu's reminder but chose to keep going forward until he reached his next ride. It was only a few meters away, so it was fine for him to bump into some people. People always bump into him, anyway. He pointed at the swinging circle of the pendulum. "Line, line, line, Kyu! Line!"

Kyuhah: He watched Seokjin with wide eyes as he continued the rest of the way with him. "Did you like consume a gallon of sugar when I wasn't watching? Are you okay, Jin?" he commented, surprised. "I have never seen you so excited for anything, ever."

Seokjin: He looked at Kyuhah with a perplexed expression. Then his eyes slowly grew wider. "I. Probably. Had. Too. Much. Caffeine. Intake. In the last few hours." He shrugged. "I don't know. But I do like scary rides," he mused, giving him a huge smile.

Kyuhah: "You're not allowed to have coffee for a week," Kyuhah decided, walking up to the line. "If I see a cup of coffee anywhere near you, you're in for it, Do Seokjin." He studied the ride, he'd never been on one of these before, but he supposed if Seokjin was with him then he'd be fine.

Seokjin: He wasn't sure if his ears heard right. "Han Kyuhah, the heck are you asking of me?" He threw his hands up in . . . despair? He wasn't sure. "Coffee is life. It energizes me and it makes all the gloomy things and thoughts go away." But he knew when Kyu decided on something, it'd be difficult to change his mind. A day-long of begging and pleading might do, but that was just the least Seokjin would do. He crossed his arms over his chest and scowled. "I can't even find a replacement for coffee."

Kyuhah: He chuckled, an evident grin in his eyes as he stared at Seokjin with no sympathy. "You realize tea exists right? You could drink a protein shake or normal water or something. Coffee isn't the only thing that exists. There are energy drinks and soda that all do the same thing coffee does. Give you energy. You will survive. If I knew it would crush you so much, I wouldn't bother making the rule."

Seokjin: He knitted his brows together. "No, coffee gives me way too different effects than those protein drinks or tea or energy drinks." He stomped his foot. "You do know how important coffee is in my everyday life. That's basic knowledge of me. Tea is too bitter, energy drinks are too sweet, protein drinks are too erratic, and soda is too irksome."

Kyuhah: Kyuhah frowned in disapproval at Seokjin's persistence. "You're literally proving my point right now, Seokjin. You're becoming way too attached to coffee. Soon it's going to become an addiction that will become incredibly difficult to get rid of. Too much coffee is bad." He sighed and looked away from his lover. "Look, just remember I'm going this for your own good, okay?"

Seokjin: He rubbed his nape and stared at the ground, frowning deep. "I don't like tea," he muttered. "How can you be so mean sometimes?" He squatted down and hugged his knees. "So mean."

Kyuhah: He rolled his eyes and smiled as leaned down to kiss Seokjin's forehead. "Up Jin, we're almost to the ride."

Seokjin: He remained in his position for a short while before standing up. He made a face at Kyuhah. "I won't ride. Unless you let me drink at most one cup each day?"

Kyuhah: "I have no problem with you not riding, since you're the one who chose this ride anyway..." he drawled. "I'm not going to let you drink coffee, Seokjin. It's just a week, you will survive."

Seokjin: "How???" He looked at the ride, and he knew not trying it today would be a regret. With a huge scowl on his face, he finally agreed. He glared at Kyuhah. "One week, okay? Just one week." He pointed at the slowing pendulum, "Ride?"

Kyuhah: "Just one week," he agreed with a chuckle. "We'll ride it now, don't worry."

Seokjin: He crossed his arms over his chest. "Let's go . . . then," he muttered, taking a few steps forward to have Kyu come up by his side.

Kyuhah:  He shook his head in silent laughter and step forward to stand beside him. Kyuhah rested his arm on Seokjin's shoulder casually, as if they hadn't just had an argument over coffee.

Seokjin: He glared at Kyu's arm. He made his eyes look at the ground, and stay there. The walks towards the ride felt like a whole eternity. He'd see some suspicious shapes floating by the edge of his vision. He held his head high suddenly, and turned sharply at Kyuhah. "Is it just me, or somebody's with us?"

Kyuhah: "Hm?" He looked around but he didn't spot anything out of the ordinary and looked back at Seokjin. "I don't know... I don't really see anything. Maybe it's just you?"

Seokjin: His brows furrowed. "There is something," he mumbled. The pendulum ride hissed as it rested to let its passengers down. He patted his belt, checking if his blades were still hanging there. His sword would have to wait. He shrugged. "Guess I was just too shocked about the coffee thing."

Kyuhah: "Maybe, or a monster thought it was appropriate to crash the party," he murmured, scanning the crowd for said mysterious shapes. "We'll just be on the lookout for now."

Seokjin: "You think?" He stared up at the ride, the people in front of them filling up the seats. "I kind of have a bad feeling 'bout this." He stopped in his tracks and faced Kyuhah. "Cheolie is alright, right?"

Kyuhah: "Hopefully," he mumbled, taking out his phone. "Want me to call him and check?"

Seokjin: He bit the inner part of his cheek. "Please do." A few more people in front before their turn to find a seat.

Kyuhah: "M'kay," he hummed, pulling out his phone and turning it on. He scrolled through his contacts for a few seconds before finding Byungcheol's and dialing the number. Then he held the device to his ear and waited for the other to pick up. "Cheol...?"

Byungcheol: He had finished dealing with the random horde of fangirls... finally, and was making his way back to the front of the park to find the other two. He had been thinking about calling them just as his phone rang and he snorted. Ironically, really. "Hello?" He said, speaking into the phone.

Kyuhah: He handed the phone to Seokjin, deciding he should do the talking.

Seokjin: He was suprised when Kyuhah handed him his phone, but he took it anyway. "Cheol? No, it's Seokjin. Where are you? Oh. Nothing, I was just worried. Don't ask why. Just come here, to this . . . this - what do you call this ride -" He looked up at the ride, "Oh, yes, this pendulum ride. It's coloured orange and, like, swings back and forth. Yeah, whatever, just come here already. No, I won't murder - drop that topic already! Okay, okay, see you." He ended the call, and gave the phone back to Kyu. "Thanks. Let's ride?"

Kyuhah: He raised an eyebrow. "What was that about murder?"

Seokjin: "Ah, nothing. Said I was going to murder him if he even came close to us." He glared at the ground. "Just drop it already," he said to no one in particular.

Kyuhah: "I am finding myself majorly concerned by your mental health," he stated matter-of-a-factly. "But alright..."

Seokjin: He stands back up straight. "Well, you did say I should go killing only if you're part of it." He smiled at takes Kyu's hand. "That could lessen my mental retardedness."

Kyuhah: He acknowledged that fact, nodding in agreement. "Alright, true, very true..."

Seokjin: He smiled once more and followed the line up the raised platform. The ride turned to present empty seats. Three were left vacant. He sat on the first and gestured for Kyu to follow. "Fun, fun, fun."

Kyuhah: He sat down in a seat, of course, it had to be next to his lover and waited through all the procedures that came before the start of the ride. "Do you run on sugar and sunshine now?" He whispered to Seokjin, in more of a joking manner.

Seokjin: He stared at Kyu in fun way. "I need to have an alternative while coffee's away."

Kyuhah: "Jin..." he began slowly. "You love me more than coffee, right?"

Seokjin: He looked at Kyuhah in a Are you serious? manner, then chuckled lightly. "Kyu, the most important thing I have right now is my life, not coffee, 'cause without life, I can't enjoy coffee. But if there's anyone I'd give my life for, it's you Kyuhah. You are totally more important and I love you more than anything. So don't get jealous over coffees or espressos." The ride started moving slowly. "And oh, regard those as my last words if ever I die of fright from this ride."

Kyuhah: His mouth hung open slightly for a few seconds. Then he closed it along with his eyes and let out a sound that could closely replicate a dying whale. "...You're so fucking weird, Jin," he sighed, opening his eyes again. "I love you," he added afterward in a whisper.

Seokjin: "Well I love you, too, Kyu," he tried to whisper. "Another by the way, please don't die on me now. Coffee's gone, I can't lose the one who put that away."

Kyuhah: "Like I'd go out on an amusement park ride. That's just dark," he snorted. "I won't die on you, don't worry."

Seokjin: "That's reassuring," he replied. The ride started turning and swinging upwards. His heart started beating faster. What are you afraid of, Jin? his crazy side started. While you're not letting me take over, please don't be a scaredy-cat. It horrifies me. Seokjin rolled his eyes and instead took hold of Kyu's hand. "Sorry. Making sure."

Kyuhah: He smiled at the other and squeezed his hand. While he couldn't hear what Seokjin was thinking, he could guess the other seemed to be having some type of internal monologue. Despite the sounds of screams all around them and the bizzare swinging of the ride, he kept his eyes focused on his lover, horribly failing at keeping his line of vision away from his lips.

Seokjin: He screamed like a normal rider would. The wind and the fall, it was all so wonderful. He loved it. He turned to Kyuhah, who he wasn't sure was enjoying the ride. Against the howling wind and screams, he yelled, "Kyuhah! You alright?"

Kyuhah: "Perfectly fine as long as you're around," he began to sing in Korean, quoting a song from LV. "My heart pounds at the thought of getting closer to you, and even though it breaks whenever we're apart... My love for you fills the melody in our hearts.'

Seokjin: Gods, he started singing. He laughs in delight and pokes at Kyu's nose. “You know what, I'd like to continue that, but I'm afraid this ride will break down and a storm may come, so never mind."

Kyuhah: He pouted, making a face at the other. "Can't I be romantic while we're about to possibly die?"

Seokjin: "Cute, but I did say I won't join you in singing; you keep singing, go on." The screams were louder and the ride swung harder. "Y'know, to maybe keep me from getting a fright? Shout it."

Kyuhah: "Nope," he said with a shake of his head, which proved to be quite difficult. "Sernade's over. Sorry babe."

Seokjin: He just stared at Kyuhah in disbelief. "I didn't mean that you can't be romantic . . ." The ride slowed to a stop, and Seokjin felt like nothing had happened. No shaky feeling or trembling of legs or a faster heartbeat. Once they got down, he looked up at the ride. "That wasn't very scary."

Kyuhah: "That's most likely not the purpose," he pointed out, poking Seokjin's cheek. "Besides, it all depends on preference, Jin. Now, let's go look for Cheol."

Scour[]

Seokjin: "Where was he again the last time you called him?" he asked, knitting his eyebrows in disappointment. He took the small paper bag of candies in his pocket. He took a gummy worm and chewed on it. He held the bag to Kyuhah. "You want some?"

Kyuhah: He shook his head, and took out his phone. "Sometime before the ride. I'm going to text him right now and see if he's okay."

Seokjin: He doesn't like sweets, he thought and sighed. He took a candy cane and just bit off the half of it. His teeth felt like it was about to fall out. The sweet flavour suddenly turned a depressing taste; the taste of bitter coffee he was longing for. He waited for Kyu to make and finish the call while he kept eating his sweets in the bag.

Kyuhah: Byungcheol responded almost immediately when Kyuhah texted him, stating he was near the large outdoor food court in the amusement park. He requested directions and then turned to Seokjin to relay the information. "So if we head over there, we should find him. He said he won't move for the time being."

Seokjin: "So if we took long enough than that time being, he'd leave us? How childish can he be?" he said with his mouth full. "Won't someone notice you here, too? And you'd suffer the same fate as Cheol? Not that you'd really suffer." He whispered the last bit.

Kyuhah: "You realize 'time being' can be any sum of time right? I doubt he'll just randomly leave after five minutes. Be reasonable, Jin." Kyuhah pocketed his phone and began walking. "Don't worry, I've been used to fan swarms since Day One. It'd be like strolling through a park."

Seokjin: He simply grimaced and fell behind Kyuhah. Then it'll be a stroll in a park all alone. He took out his phone and typed in an entry to a new . . . diary? "At the amusement park today. Rides are fun. Sweets are good. Walking ain't good. Can't see who could potentially be crazed fangirls." He saved it and put it back in his pocket. He yawned, his teeth throbbing a bit.
