Character's Bio

 Age: 17  Height: 5"4"
 Sexuality: Bisexual  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Texas  Main Weapon: Sword
 Accent: America
 – “Temper us in fire, and we grow stronger. When we suffer, we survive.”

Character's Powers

  1. Children of Nyx have the ability to conjure weapon out of pure shadows which can be used for combat; however, only one weapon can be conjured at a time and it cannot be bigger than the one who conjured it. This can also be used for other non-combative objects, but within reason, something might be shaped like an iPod, but as shadows do not have any working parts and source of electricity, such as batteries, they would not actually play music.
  2. Children of Nyx can create solid bullets out of shadows and fire them from their fingertips. The bullets fly fast enough to possibly tear into an opponent’s skin.

  1. Children of Nyx have the ability to conjure a dome of solid shadows around them which will defend against attacks for a short time.
  2. Children of Nyx have the ability to conjure a cloak of darkness which will blunt physical attacks, but slows the movement of the conjurer.

  1. Children of Nyx are innately stronger and are slightly less drained by their powers during the night.
  2. Children of Nyx can see perfectly in the night as if it were day and darkness in general.
  3. Children of Nyx can communicate with and command nocturnal animals.
  4. Children of Nyx, during the night, sense any motions in their vicinity (up to roughly a city block away). Large, rapid movements are easy to distinguish, while smaller, slower movements blend together like background noise, requiring focus to single out.

  1. Children of Nyx have the ability to Shadow Travel,to teleport from shadow to shadow; the further the distance, the more is energy drained.
  2. Children of Nyx can bend shadows around them, concealing them for a short time.
  3. Children of Nyx are able to create complete darkness in a small area for a short time, extinguishing all light sources. They can also perform this power to a lighter extent, by putting out a single light bulb or candle with a thought.
  4. Children of Nyx can telekinetically move and transform their shadow constructs. The more constructs moved and the bigger they are, the more energy is drained.
  5. Children of Nyx have the ability to create intangible stars, which will light an area for a short time.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nyx can cause true night in an area for a short time, blocking sunlight over a battlefield. Their passive boosts and the abilities of other demigods are affected accordingly. This effect lasts for at most a minute before fading back, and can only be used once a day. They can also create a pair of shadow wings to fly with (which drains less energy than shadow travel).

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nyx are able to create up to seven nocturnal animals, no larger than their normal sizes, to serve them for a short time. While the animals are summoned the user is slower, and they are drained whenever one of the animals is harmed or when the animals are released.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Nyx have the ability to shed their flesh and turn into a state of pure night. While in this state, the user is granted flight and their existing abilities become stronger. They are intangible in this state and anyone they touch has their vision stripped away for the rest of the transformation; however, once the user changes back they will be extremely drained and immobile for a long time. They would possibly pass out.

  1. Children of Nyx tend to prefer the dark.
  2. Children of Nyx are often nocturnal; preferring to operate at night and sleep during the day.
  3. Children of Nyx tend to have a darker outlook on life and events of the world.
  4. Children of Nyx often pursue jobs that take place at night or in darkness such as being a security guard, nightclub bouncing, and mining.
  5. Children of Nyx are typically favored and get along with nocturnal animals, such as bats, raccoons, ocelots, etc.

Role Play

Sophia: She sat with Charlie beside the lake, a dagger twirling around her hand and she hugged her legs to her chest with her other arm.

Charlie: She lay down next to her, wearing nothing but a bikini top and a pair of short shorts trying to catch the few last rays of sunlight.

Valerie: Valerie, who had been invited to the lake by Brooklyn, was now making her way over to the lake. She was clad in a pair of grey swimming short shorts and a black tank-top. "Hey guys..." She waved as she neared the lake and saw the other three girls.

Brooklyn: Unlike Valerie, Brooklyn had already been at the lake with Charlie and Sophia. Her hair was let loose around her shoulders and she had a two piece purple covering her body. "Hey Val!" Brooklyn smiled as she ran to through the sand, up to the daughter of Hecate, and hugging her. "I thought you'd never come..."

Sophia: Her harsh eyes snapped up to Valerie and, for a moment, she didn't move but then relaxed, only slightly, and smiled up at her. "Charlie was getting worried you were taken by the faeries," she joked, poking the other girl in the side with her foot.

Charlie: She brought down her sunglasses to send Sophia a look, "I was not," she rebutted before pushing up onto her elbows, "and, anyway, I wish the faeries luck in trying to put a finger on any of us. It'd be suicide on their part."

Valerie: A small smile came onto Valerie's lips as she heard the girls. "More like a slaughter." she chuckled as she went to sit dow in the sand, choosing to sit in front of Sophia. "So how are you guys liking camp?" She asked while looking at the other girls.

Brooklyn: Brooklyn followed Valerie, sitting next to her and in front of Charlie. "Ehhh it's fine i guess." She responded as she sat down on the sand. "A lot of hot guys." She laughed.

Charlie: "I love it!" She declared, rather loudly, and curled her toes into the ground as she relaxed back down, "hot guys, no monsters, good food. What's not to like?"

Sophia: "The lack of alcohol," Sophia supplied, "the amount of arrogance the big three kids have, the lack of freedom. I do like capture the flag, though, fun kicking their asses."

Charlie: "You're such a downer," she grumbled.

Valerie: A light smile came across Valerie's lips as she heard the girls. "Hey, it's safe for us... It's nice to wake up and not worry about a monster attacking us." The daughter of Hecate responded while digging her fingers into the sand.

Brooklyn: "True," She said in response to Valerie's words. "It wouldn't hurt them to throw a couple parties though.... even the Dionysus kids are boring"

Sophia: She unwillingly allowed herself to smile at this, "now that would lighten this place up," she said with a conspiratory grin.

Charlie: She slightly frowned at this, "alcohol isn't allowed," she said carefully, "we'd be caught in an instant if someone threw a party. Especially at night, some drunkard would wander into the forest." In all honesty, Charlie would have rathered a quiet night with the three of them and not be surrounded by drunk idiots.

Valerie: "I don't think Alexander would appreciate us causing trouble in our first week." Valerie said with a light chuckle after. "Maybe a quiet movie night at one of our cabins instead."

Brooklyn: Brooklyn pouted fakely. "Looks like you and I are the only ones up for a party Sophia." She smirked while leaning back onto her arms and tilting her head back. "I guess a movie night could be fine too."

Charlie: She beamed at the shift of ideas, "it would definitely be fine," she said, "we can watch fifty shades."

Sophia: She narrowed her eyes at Charlie, "that," she said heavily emphasising the word, "would get us in more trouble with Alexander than a party would."

Valerie: "Maybe Magic Mike." Valerie suggested with a smile. "That alex Pettyfer is pretty hot." she blushed only slightly at this before looking to Sophia. "What movie would you suggest then?"

Brooklyn: "I'm more of a Channing Tatum fan." Brooklyn adimitted before lying down fulling and resting her arms behind her head. "As long as there are snacks... i'm in"

Charlie: She nodded at this before shifting closer to them so she wasn't as separate. "I like the both of them."

Sophia: "And I have no idea who either of them are," she said with a slow blink.

Valerie: "We also have to figure out where we'd have this movie night..." Valerie pointed out while looking to the other girls. "Could have it in my room at the Hecate cabin.

Brooklyn: "All you need to know is that their both hot, Sophia." Brooklyn smirked before turning her gaze towards Valerie. "Sounds good to me... the Hermes kids would probably be bothering us the whole time if we have it at my cabin."

Charlie: She snorted slightly at the mention of Brooklyn's 'real' siblings, "I hope they know their place," she said with a slight yawn, "and anyway, if we go there, we'll leave in nothing but our lingerie."

Valerie: "You guys decide where were going to have it... i ummm have to go." Was all the daughter of Hecate said before standing up and running off towards her cabin.

Broklyn: "Umm ok see you later then!" She shouted after Valerie who was already gone before she could ask questions. "You guys think Valerie is ok?" She asked while turning her head towards the other girls.

Sophia: She watched Valerie and moved to get up, "I'll go see–'"

Charlie: She shot up, "I'll go," she said vaguely before running after Valerie.

Valerie: Valerie, who really only had plans to go back to her cabin and read through books, now made her way through the paths. Lately, she had been feeling a bit down from loosing her powers and was trying everything she could to get them back.

Charlie: She followed, "Val?" She asked slowly as she reached her and her fingers hesitated over her arm, as if she wasn't sure if she should stop her.

Valerie: When she heard the familiar sound of Charlie's voice, Valerie turned around - her expression showing she was either confused or worried. "Hey... What's up?" She asked while looking to the other girl.

Brooklyn: Meanwhile, back at the Lake. "So, how are you really feeling about camp?" Brooklyn asked suddenly, hugging her knees to her chest as she spoke.

Charlie: "are you okay?" She asked as she shifted from foot to foot. She averted her eyes as she didn't really have the heart to look her in the eyes.

Sophia: She slowly shrugged as she stared out onto the lake. She breathed out slightly when a small breeze brushed her face and eventually answered, "it doesn't really matter. I'll stay with you guys."

Valerie: Honestly, she wasn't ok. Since losing her powers, which she enjoy very much, Valerie has felt strange. Vulnerable and unable to protct herself. "Yea, of course i'm fine..." She lied but, it may have been hard to tell for Charlie. "Why do you ask?"

Brooklyn: Brooklyn slightly nodded as she heard Sophia's responce, letting a blanket of silence drap over them after this. For a few minutes she gazed at the sand, trying to count each grain she could focus on. Suddenly though, her surrondings changed and she was in a dark and foggy area - her eye barley able to see a foot in front of her. "Huh?" she thought as she looked around, trying to see where Sophia had gone. In reality though, Brooklyn was still in her same position and still just looking towards the sand.

Charlie: She opened her mouth slightly before snapping it shut as she rubbed her arm. She continued to stare at the ground. "I'm sorry," she blurted out, "you losing your was my fault," she confessed as she allowed her eyes to flick up to Valerie, "I pressured you into it. I don't regret bringing her back but the whole situation was my fault. I was meant to be watching her back but I got distracted by the group and...then I pressured you into giving up your powers." She ranted and didn't seem like she was able to stop but at this, she finally listened to the ranting of "shut up, shut up, shut up" that was yelling at her inside of her head and closed her mouth and went back to staring at the ground.

Valerie: Even though she did hate not having her powers, she didn't blame it on Charlie nor did she blame it on any of the other girls. Brooklyn had died, and the daughter of Hecate decided, on her own, to use her powers to bring her back - no matter the consequences. "Charlie... Don't blame your self for anything." She started as she gazed at her friend. "I decided to bring Brooklyn back all by myself."

Brooklyn: Still in her "Trance", Brooklyn began to walk - still unable to see anything. "You belong here..." An unknown voice said suddenly which cause Brooklyn to look around with a panicked expression. "Who's there?" She said aloud but, no one responded.

Sophia: She looked over to Brooklyn, "are you okay? You're strangely quiet."

Charlie: "I didn't exactly leave another option," she said but left it at that and rocked back on her feet, "I'm not...knowledgable in Hecate powers but if there's anything I can do to help and see if you can get them'd come to me, right?"

Valerie: Quickly, Valerie nodded her head and smiled at her firend. "Of course i would." she half lied. On one hand, Valerie wanted to tell the girls how she was dealing with the lose of her powers but, on the other hand - she didn't think the girls would understand.

Brooklyn: Once Sophia had spoken, Brooklyn snapped back into reality - her eyes wandering around the area a bit before looking to Sophia. "Yea... guess i'm just tired." she lied.

Charlie: She smiled hesitantly at her, "you better," she said, "so...why'd you run off."

Sophia: She regarded Brooklyn with a frown, unsure if she should push it. She wasn't exactly confident that Brooklyn was lying. Charlie would know if she was and she'd probably be more open to her sister than Sophia. She decided to let it go. "Do you reckon we'll drift away? Like in camp? Get other friends?" She asked vaguely as she drew circles in the sand with her finger.

Valerie: She contemplated on wheather she should tell her or not, being silent for a few moments as she did so. "Umm... i was just going to meet another one of the Hecate children..." She answered.

Charlie: She struggled to hide her surprise but she smiled nonetheless, "then I'll stop keeping you back...have fun," she said before turning back.

Valerie: she gave a soft smile while nodding, turning around and continuing on her way to the Hecate cabin.

Brooklyn: "I don't think so..." Brooklyn answered, watching as Sophia drew circles in the sand. "We'll probably make new friends but, we've been through to much together to just drift away."

Sophia: She bit down a flinch and dug her finger in deeper, "you'd be surprised," she said rather carefully before grinning up at her, "whatver happens, I'm finding all of you a good guy to sleep with. If we're all going to get slaughtered by monsters then lets at least get laid."

Brooklyn: Upon hearing sophia's word, Brooklyn let a laugh escape her soft pink lips. "I think we would need to help you find a good guy to sleep with." she smirked.

Sophia: She laughed at this, "hey!" She protested, "I could get any guy I wanted. I just don't like anyone here."

Brooklyn: She only giggled at this before pushing herself up and letting her eyes wander around the area. "i'm bored now... we should do something." She said while looking down to Sophia.

Sophia: She shrugged and pushed herself up, "then lead the way."
