Aria Shen ~ Head Counselor of Astraeus
AriaOlder1

"Set your course by the stars, not by the light of every passing ship."
{{{1}}}
Character's Bio

 Age: 20  Height: 5'7"  Weight: 120-ish lbs.
Sexuality: Aro ace  Relationship Status: Single
Birth Place: Mountain View, California  Main Weapon: CB sword

 – "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves."

Character's Powers

 ====Offensive====

  1. Children of Astraeus have the ability to conjure weapons out of plasma which can be used for combat; however, only one weapon can be conjured at a time and it cannot be bigger than the one who conjured it.
  2. Children of Astraeus have the ability to focus an intense beam of plasma which will burn anything it touches.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Astraeus have the ability to summon a cluster of miniature stars directly in front of them which can be used to block incoming attacks; the stars, however, dissipate quickly.
  2. Children of Astraeus generate an orbit around themselves for a short time, all attacks and people near the user get caught in the orbit, causing them to fly around, unable to attack the user. The user cannot move while the orbit is active.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Astraeus are innately stronger during the night.
  2. Children of Astraeus have the innate ability to see in all directions at once during the night.
  3. Children of Astraeus can innately adapt to most natural planetary environments within reason, meaning they're less likely to die of heat stroke and hypothermia.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Astraeus have the ability to create temporary light sources, similar to concept of a flare, which will alight an area or blind an enemy for a short time.
  2. Children of Astraeus can manipulate the force of gravity of the planet and change the direction and force of it. They can cause items to float or stick to the ground for a short time or cause them to fly into a certain direction. Once the curse wears off, the item is immune to further use of it for a moderate time.
  3. Children of Astraeus have the ability to use the gravity pull of the planet to slow down enemies for a short time, giving them a high chance to avoid an opponent’s attack or prevent an opponent from avoiding one of the user’s attacks.
  4. Children of Astraeus can limit gravity’s effect on their own bodies, causing them to float up and fly. The longer they fly the more it drains them.

3 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Astraeus have the ability to conjure a small supernova, which will burn at anything in its wake on a 10m radius, as well as producing a loud booming sound coming from the explosion. It cannot differ friend from foe and will affect anyone or anything nearby.

6 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Astraeus have the power to cause up to three constellations to appear in their physical forms to fight alongside them. Each constellation will appear as an enlarged version of the thing it is based on except for human based constellations such as Orion which will be the size of a human. Constellations will dissipate after a short time, leaving the user moderately drained. Ex: If the user summons the Cancer constellation, it will be a giant crab that cannot be bigger than 2 or 3 times the size of the user.

9 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Astraeus have the ability to change the surface and mass of their bodies to reflect the surface and mass of a planet in the solar system of their choice for a short time. For example, if the user wishes to turn their body into flames, they would adopt the surface of Mercury. No matter which planet they choose to assimilate with, they will be extremely drained after the transformation and they can only use the power once per fight. They may switch planets while in this state. Ex: The user is reflecting Earth to reach an opponent and then reflects Mercury to attack them. Once in this state, they lose access to their other powers. Excluding those that are passive.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Astraeus often wield innate knowledge of constellations, space and other planets in the solar system.
  2. Children of Astraeus can tell the time, date and their location simply by looking at the sky.
  3. Children of Astraeus typically dream of becoming astronauts, to explore the stars and other planets.

RP[]

Aria: Having returned from Columbia for the weekend, Aria was enjoying her time back at Camp, her home for the past three years. College life was hectic, especially as a transfer student living among students who had already been on campus for years, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. Her limited time on Camp grounds was no less hectic, however--in the span of two days, Aria had to complete tasks which she had once had seven days a week to handle. Although she had been making plans to hand over the Astraeus counselorship to her lieutenant, she was still a little reluctant to part with her job.

Taking advantage of a brief moment of downtime in her schedule, Aria decided to squeeze in some training to clear her mind and keep herself in shape for potential monster encounters that might occur on campus. Columbia was situated in the middle of New York City, after all, and in such a crowded place, any demigod would have to remain constantly vigilant. It was due to these circumstances that, shortly before lunchtime on a sunny September day, Aria found herself doing pull-ups on a tree near the edge of the Forest.

Blake: Being back in camp was a way for Blake to escape his responsibilities, fighting monsters, sparring with Luke and remembering old times were great distraction for him. At home he felt as if the world was on his shoulders. He remembered old times with Calix and Nyxil which usually ended with him casually reclining in a tree. A tree that some girl decided to bother despite his being there.

He looks down at the girl from another branch high in the tree. "May I help you?" he says, curious to know why a child was doing pull ups.

Aria: Unfazed, Aria lifted up an arm from the tree branch and waved up at the other guy in the tree, switching to one-armed pull-ups with her left arm. "Just doing my bodyweight fitness routine outdoors today," she explained. "The weather is so nice! Plus, it gets boring to work out indoors in the gym all the time, y'know?" She switched to her right arm and continued for another few reps. "Nice spot, by the way. These branches make for some pretty comfy study spots once you get used to the wind shifting them around." Still focused on her training, Aria continued her routine in amicable silence.

Blake: He stares at her, not particularly confused by her attitude and her response. He nods his head at her words, they are demigods, something like this shouldn't be uncommon for any of them but something about her bothered him. He melts into the shadows and reappears near Aria, standing on the branch she is using. "You seem optimistic."

Aria: As the guy materialized onto her branch, the tree limb bent downward, sending Aria's feet closer to the ground. Using her gravity powers to give her an extra boost, she grabbed onto the branch with both hands and launched herself lightly upwards until she stood vertically on the same branch which she had been using as a pull-up bar. "Hey, nice shadow travel, but watch where you're going!" she laughed, leaning one hand on the tree trunk for support. Upon closer inspection, now that the guy was standing nearer to her, Aria realized that she'd seen his face around Camp before. "I dunno about me seeming optimistic, but you seem familiar. Like, really familiar. Long-time Camper?" she asked.

Blake: He stares at her for a little while, he has seen her before albeit for a very short time. "Very long."

Aria: "Longer than 4 years ago, then? That's when I first got here. There aren't a ton of campers older than that who've stuck around this entire time, as far as I know, but I've certainly met a good number of 'em over the years." Aria paused, putting a smile back on her face. "Forgot to introduce myself earlier, but I'm Aria, by the way! Head Counselor of Astraeus' Cabin, though, to be honest, I'm not sure how much longer that's going to last. And you?"

Blake: He chuckles a bit at her bright personality. She reminded him of that part of his wife. Complete positivity. "I'm Blake. Former head of Hades."

Aria: "Oh, nice to meetcha! I don't know how long ago you were Head Counselor of Hades, but I'm pretty sure I fought one of your successors in some weird Halloween event a few years back. Cody Knight?"
