John was ambling through the camp, looking at cabins and admiring their diversity of design. As he walked, he whistled a tune and messed with the straps on his backpack, his blue keds, yellow shorts, and short sleeve button down shirt made for a somewhat chilly set of clothes in the nearly 45 degree weather, but, he didn't mind.

Character's Powers

 Has 3/6/9 Month Powers:

Offensive

  1. Children of Ares can decrease an opponent’s strength and combat abilities for a short time, leaving them vulnerable to attack.
  2. Children of Ares are able to clap their hands so hard and fast due to their enhanced strength that it sends a small shock-wave out. The shock-wave generates enough force to knock an opponent off their feet and possibly leaves bruises on their skin.

Defensive

  1. Children of Ares can become resistant to all types of physical attacks for a short time.
  2. Children of Ares have the ability to call forth civil justice onto the battlefield for a short time, making all opponents lose the will to fight if their actions are unjust. However, if the actions of the opponent are justifiable the power becomes redundant, and if the user attempts to attack the opponent while the power is in use it immediately wears off.

Passive

  1. Children of Ares are innately proficient in all forms of combat.
  2. Children of Ares are stronger and faster than the average human. Their skin is also capable of enduring more injuries.
  3. Children of Ares are always emitting an aura of violence and war, which makes people around them more likely to attack each other and start fights. They can shut it off for a long time.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Ares have the inhuman ability to leap great distances at once which can be used to dodge or attack. Upon landing, a small tremor is unleashed which causes anybody within a few feet to lose their balance.
  2. Children of Ares have the ability to empower strength upon nearby allies and instil fear upon nearby enemies with a deafening war cry.
  3. Children of Ares have the ability to enchant nearby weapons with either a positive effect or negative effect for the duration of a weapon; some examples would be increasing the sharpness of a blade or dulling it.
  4. Children of Ares are sometimes able to cause a small (3-5) group, to turn against each other by inducing a lust for violence and victory in combat. The targets would become irrational and fight among themselves determined to be the last warrior standing, causing chaos for a short time. The more affected the more energy is drained.

3 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Ares can create an illusion of massive bloodshed, destruction and devastation on a battlefield, instilling everyone around them with cowardice and terror, causing them to panic and be routed for some time, until it wears off and they return to battle. Similarly, they can also do the opposite, causing everyone nearby to go into a battle frenzy, in which they recklessly fight the enemy. This power drains them significantly.


6 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Since their father has command over dead soldiers on the losing side of every war in history, children of Ares have the ability to summon a large group of armed skeletal soldiers, up to seven, which can then be controlled by the mind of their summoner. The longer the period of time for which they are summoned, the more the summoner is drained. Ex: The user can summon skeletal red coats, confederate soldiers, Nazis etc. Dead Soldiers who belonged to the winning side of the war cannot be summoned.

9 Months After a Character is Made

  1. Children of Ares can draw power from all the violent actions and desires they’ve seen, felt, or committed in their lives and become an embodiment of war for a short time, in this state they are as twice as strong and fast than before and are immune to all attacks. They emit a powerful aura which somewhat makes enemies think they are weak and doomed for failure. Once the transformation subsides and the user reverts to normal, they are immensely drained, cannot move and could possibly faint.

Traits

  1. Children of Ares are usually more courageous than most, especially when facing danger.
  2. As Ares is the god of civil order, his kids are often adept at creating order when there is chaos and fighting around them
  3. Children of Ares tend to love the thrill of battle and fighting, feeling natural when partaking in combat.
  4. Children of Ares often love the chance to show off their abilities, they’re often somewhat arrogant and hotheaded.
  5. Children of Ares typically have the potential to become great soldiers, agents or generals. Able to perform remarkable feats within the Military.

RP

The Beach

Katherine: As the sun began to peak through Katherine's window she sat up in bed while rubbing her eyes and streching. She then got up and began getting ready for the day. When finished she walked out of her room in the Eris cabin and walk out the front door. Today Katherine didnt have any special plans so she just began to walk around camp aimlessly. A short while later Katherine was able to see the beach from where she was so she began walking toward it, She wasn't planning on going swimming because of the slightly cold weather but she did enjoy watching the waves.

John: John is out in the water at the beach about knee deep, in a pair of gym shorts-like swim trunks, running through the water as fast as he possibly can, trying to train for the cross country race that he might not be able to attend because of paperwork. "Left, left right left, this is so dumb," John laughs, wondering how people in the forces kept with cadence.

Katherine: As Katherine reached the beach she noticed someone running in the water. as she got closer she noticed it was the man she met acouple of days ago. Katherine stopped walking and sat on the sand, She would have went to talk to the man but, the last time the met they he didn't really seem to wanna talk to her. As she sat there she watched as he ran through the water hoping he woulddn't see her because it would be a bit embarassing especially because she could see the muscles on his body flexing as he ran.

John: John continues to run, reaches a certain point further down the beach, then makes a u-turn and runs back towards the pole that is a quarter of a mile past Katherine on the beach. At this point, John is "dying", he's gone four laps farther than he normally would, simply because he got lost in his thinking. He lifts his arm and checks the time, "To the pole and done with this goal," He chants to himself as he chugs past Katherine (while still a ways off from her, as he's knee deep in the water), and continues towards the pole, however he turns and looks back, realizing that there's someone close to where he left his stuff, and that he may inevitably have to talk while he's short of breath.

Katherine: As Katherine continued to watch John run she began to think how someone could run so long. She herself liked to run and keep in shape but she would never run as much as she just witnessed John do. She then looked away from John realizing that she was staring a bit to much and look out into the blue sea starting to get lost in her thoughts. Usually she would avoid thinking to much because her thought would go to the time she left camp and that wasn't something she wanted to remember.

John: John reaches the pole, "Holy crap," he says as he leans against the pole breathing heavily. John continues to breathe heavily as he collects himself and begins to walk towards his stuff, /which is near Katherine/ his body is covered in sweat, and he's pretty positive he smells like disgusting on its worst day. "Hi," John says as he nears Katherine.

Katherine: As Katherine's gaze wondered to her side she noticed someones stuff near her and began to think if it was the guy who was running. If it was then she was pretty dumb to not wanna run into him again but, sit next to his things. As she was going to get up ad move to a different area Katherine heard someone speaking. She turned around to be faced with John. "Oh umm hey...." She said mentally facepalming.

John: "So," he asks, still somewhat gasping for air, "How much of that did you see... and hear for that matter?" John stretches slowly, leaving his water bottle and shirt in the sand still, not really wanting to pick them up yet.

Katherine: Katherine runs a hand through her hair while looking at John's shirtless body. She was slightly blushing so she looked away from him not wanting him to notice. "Umm i didnt see much i got here acouple minutes ago and i didnt hear much considering you were pretty far away from me........." She stood there for a bit before smirking. "left Right Left Right" one of the one things she heard was that and she thought it was pretty funny and decided to mock him for it.

John: "Well, obviously you heard something," John asks semi-politely, then chuckles as he doesn't really care if anyone hears him talk to himself while he runs, because in doing so he's able to run farther by getting himself pumped up.

Katherine: As she heard him chuckle Katherine relaxed a bit and smiled to herself. "You run alot i dont think ive seen anyone run as much as you" She was still taking small glances at John's musulces hoping he wouldn't see her. She was pretty sure some one as good looking at him had a girlfriend and she wasn't in the mood to be fighting with some other girl for checking out her boyfriend. At this thought Katherine giggled.

OCC Comments

Maybe we could end this one and start a new one between them but on a different day.
