Powers

Offensive[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite can fire a powerful blast of water from their hands, equivalent to that of a fire hose, which evaporates after a short time.
  2. Children of Amphitrite have the ability to sprout an extra two sets of crustacean arms from their back, which can be used to hit or pinch opponents.

Defensive[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite can create an area around themselves that inflicts others with intense seasickness, making them dizzy and nauseous for as long as they remain inside. The user must keep their focus on maintaining the effect for the duration.
  2. Children of Amphitrite can turn their body to water for a very short time, letting an attack pass harmlessly through them. This can cause extreme dehydration with repeated use.

Passive[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite can breathe, are swifter and more powerful, and can heal slightly faster while underwater.
  2. Children of Amphitrite can keep themselves and everything they touch dry in the water, unless they choose to become wet.
  3. Children of Amphitrite can survive falling from any altitude as long as they land in water, and can go as deep into the ocean as they desire without any effects from the cold or water pressure.
  4. Children of Amphitrite have the effect of stilling troubled water whenever they get near it.
  5. Children of Amphitrite can increase the salinity of water.

Supplementary[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite have the capability of transforming themselves into either a fish or shellfish, and can form themselves into humanoid versions of a fish. The longer they stay a fish, the more they forget how to be human. If they remain a fish for too long, they can get stuck in that form. Their humanoid form can only last as long as they keep up the concentration.
  2. Children of Amphitrite are able to telekinetically move water at a high rate. The larger amount of water used, the more energy it drains. This can be used on ice, but is much more difficult and draining.
  3. Children of Amphitrite can communicate with and command Fish, Seals, and Dolphins.
  4. Children of Amphitrite are able to emit an aura of the deep sea, making anyone around them feel as if there’s large water pressure above them, and pop their ears.

3 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite are able to shape a semi-living construct out of water, no larger than 3 to 4 times the size of the user, that fights for them for a short time. The user is weakened while the construct is active, and the longer they maintain the it, the more energy it drains.

6 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite are able to summon all liquid in their surrounding 100 ft in order to create one colossal tidal wave, and aim it onto a large spread of land. The wave should knock down anyone in the path of the wave, combined with the pressure of the wave and possible lack of air if those hit cannot breathe in water. The user will have exhausted their water capabilities and be unable to manipulate any aspects of water for about two hours.

9 Months After Character is Made[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite are able to transform their bodies into a state of pure water for a short time, becoming immune to most attacks. The hydrokinetic abilities they already possess are enhanced by this state, and they are capable of covering great distances in an instant while underwater. The user will be extremely drained once the transformation ends, and could possibly faint.

Traits[]

  1. Children of Amphitrite have a specific hatred of the Sea of Monsters, due to Scylla residence there.
  2. Children of Amphitrite have a love for sea creatures, and may grow up to become marine biologists.
  3. Children of Amphitrite love helping those with mariner professions, and may additionally become lifeguards or join the Coast Guard.
  4. Children of Amphitrite feel more at home near seas and other large bodies of water.
  5. Children of Amphitrite tend to drink a lot of water.
  6. Children of Amphitrite are good at reading water and understanding its salinity, clarity, and nitrate level, which in turn helps them deduce more easily the health of a body of water.
