Powers

Offensive

  1. Children of Phoebe can "dull" someone's intelligence for short amount of time. This can cause the target to think harder for their attacks, which can open attack opportunities for the user. The more often this is used on the same target, the less effective it is.
  2. Children of Phoebe can use their brilliant minds to create a single weapon of pure energy. The weapon cannot be bigger than the user, and the longer this is used, the more draining it is. Alternatively, they can use their brilliance to create multiple non-combative objects, with the same drain.

Defensive

  1. Children of Phoebe can use their minds to improve their resistance to damage for a very short amount of time. This can alternatively be used on a single ally, for the same amount of time.
  2. Children of Phoebe can use their brilliance to make themselves appear benevolent for a short amount of time, causing everyone around them to cease attacking them. The user cannot attack in this state, but is allowed to move about.

Passive

  1. Children of Phoebe have the innate ability of hyper-cognition. They are able to perform more complex mental operations than a normal human could achieve. They are able to process thoughts and learning far quicker than others with little cognitive effort.
  2. Children of Phoebe emit an aura of intellectual brilliance around them at all times, causing everyone around them to feel a little smarter and more creative than normal. They can shut this off for a long time if they so wish.
  3. Children of Phoebe can see things in a different perspective, thanks to their intellectual brilliance. Where some would see few outcomes, they can see additional possibilities, or variations of existing ones.
  4. Because their mother is known as the shining Phoebe, Children of Phoebe are slightly easier to recognize than normal, and thus they can stand out a little more than others in a crowd.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Phoebe can see a few seconds into the future; allowing them to possibly predict the actions of others or possible outcomes of an event, but also obscuring their sight at times.
  2. Children of Phoebe can temporarily boost their awareness for a short period of time. Only one of the five senses can be boosted, and that sense may be dulled for a short time afterward.
  3. Children of Phoebe can improve someone's intellectual brilliance for a short period of time. The user and the target are left a little confused once this wears off.
  4. Children of Phoebe can highlight a target, causing the target to have a visible golden glow to them. This lasts for a short time, and can only be used up to three times on the same target.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Phoebe can render someone unintelligent, causing them to have to think simple for a short amount of time. This is rather draining on the user, and once the effect wears off, the user and the target both feel a brief moment of confusion.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Phoebe can use their intellectual brilliance to change a single detail about their battlefield for a small amount of time. This is more draining, if the change is significant and gives a direct advantage to the user, ie. temporarily removing all water to even the odds against a child of a water god.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Phoebe can transform into a state of pure intellect for a short amount of time, granting them empowerment to their other abilities and temporary immunity to a single source of damage of their choice. Once the user reverts back to normal, they are incredibly drained, and quite possibly unable to move.

Traits

  1. Since their mother is associated with prophecies, Children of Phoebe are better at interpreting prophecies.
  2. Children of Phoebe are rather intelligent and creative, though not to the extent of some other deities' children.
  3. Children of Phoebe make for excellent teachers in general.
