Name: Asterick Seilers
History: Asterick was born to Asteria and a mortal parent Peter. At first, Asterick grew up in a seemingly "perfect" home: her mortal parent raised her as a single parent, but they didn't mind. though it was a tiring job and the mortal parent had a hard life, Hhe was happy to raise Asterick on his own. Asterick was a bright young girl who loved astronomy, the stars and the night facsinated her. She would stay up late and observe the stars on her telescope she received for one of her birthdays. Asterick always believed in a higher power, something bigger than herself. However, she had no idea about her true lineage whatsover. She dreamed of becoming an astronaut, and going up into space one day. She wanted to be a scientist as well.
Asterick began making plans to help her achieve her goals. She prayed every night that she would somehow manage to become successful, even though her prospects didn't seem likely. When Asterick was about twelve, she came home from school one day to discover that her father (the mortal parent) died of a "heart attack". Asterick was crushed, her mortal parent was the only one she was close to. Her friends at school weren't many, and the ones she did have weren't that close.
Asterick didn't want to be put into foster care, or worse, so she ran away. She abandoned society, and stole what she needed to survive. She hated doing so, but convinced herself that she didn't have a choice. After a couple months of living on the streets, Asterick decided to return to the world. She still wanted to become an astronaut/scientist, and knew she wouldn't be able to living how she was. However, she also knew she was in trouble for running away.
Before she could think of anything, Asterick stumbled across an eldery woman who seemed kind. The woman apparently pitied Asterick, and took her in as her own. ASterick was suspicious at first, but slowly grew to love the woman as a mother. The woman's name was Ruth. Ruth told Asterick that she used to have children and grandchildren, but they all died in an accident. Ruth was a wealthy woman.
Ruth encouraged Asterick's dream of pursuing a career in science, and Asterick almost belived she could be happy again. Then, Asterick began having nightmares. At first they were subtle and vague, but they become clearer. She dreamed she was an astronaut, her dream job, but something always felt wrong. She seemed used. The nightmares constantly bothered her, and when she told Ruth, Ruth just laughed them off.
One night, the dreams reached a climax, and her god parent (Asteria) revaled themself to Asterick. They told her that they had planned her mortal parents' death, and had lead her to Ruth who knew of gods/monsters. The god parent had led Asterick to a life of "success", where Asterick could be whatever she wanted. The god parent told Asterick that her mortal parent would have held her back, but Ruth could help her asterik achieve anything. All Asterick had to do was serve her godly parent with little things here and there. Asteria reminded Asterick of all her prayers, and that this was them finally coming true. She admitted to loving Peter, but was more devoted towards her daughter, as she sensed the potential she had.
Asterick was repulsed. She ran away a second time, and kept going until she found some broken covenant members who told her of their goals. she had heard of camp half blood, but didn't want anything to do with the gods.
Personality: asterick was a sweet girl, but after all the hardships she faced, became cold and bitter. she locked her innocent side away, and is now fueled with a desire for revenge against the gods who think they can do anything and get away with it.
Likes/Dislikes: asterick is a night owl, always staying up late. she hates getting up early and prefers the night towards the day. bright light pains her, and she'd prefer total darkness. she has a passion for the sky and stars.
Weapons: black sword named καταστρέψουν (destroy)
Appearance: dark black hair (pitch black) and green eyes, slender/tall. pale
God parent: asteria
Faction: Ortu Justiatie
Why should you belong to that faction, what are your core beliefs, why does their ideology suit your personality/beliefs?
Asterick believes the gods should not be able to do whatever for their own personal gain, ruining countless lives in the process. she hates violence, but maintains her ideology that it is necessary for the greater good (mortals). She thinks the gods should be overturned and punished justly for all their wicked deeds.
First of all, you won't be a level 3 until the 19th, you have to be a level 3 to have a BC character. Secondly, in the mean time, while you wait, you can still work on this claim, it just won't be able to be approved until after 12/19. I'd suggest working on the bit about Asteria willingly letting the mortal parent die, it's a bit odd, why would Asteria do that, for this particular child of hers, when she has multiple demigod children?--BachLynn(Send an Owl!) 16:28, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
Ok, and I changed a couple things to make the mortal parent's death more realistic. So, Asterick had been praying every night for a chance at success, and Asteria thinks that providing her with a rich guardian would help. She senses the potential of having her child be an astronaut. However, she was truly remoresful of Peter's death, even though ASterick does not believe this. RubyRose is moi! (: >>>TALK with mee. 23:10, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
Where was she when she went to find the BC, and she wouldn't be able to just randomly find it, so you should probably have her run into some BC members.BachLynn(Send an Owl!) 16:12, December 18, 2011 (UTC)
