God parent: Ate
Name: Helana Harper
Mortal Parent: Carter Harper
Appearance: She's tall, blonde hair, grey eyes, slim and trim, her hair is straight and her usual outfit is a black dress and sometimes a black hat and has very pale skin.
Carter Harper was never a person for war. He was scrawny and not very muscular, but he was in Afghanistan shooting people dead every few months. You see, after his brother died his family agreed that Carter should go in his place, as they were twin brothers and Carter was in between jobs, so Carter went into the Afghanistan War and fought but anytime he could he stayed behind and did not fight, but one day when they were on a drill Carter stopped when he saw a wounded woman on the street, she was badly beaten up and her clothing was badly ripped. Carter felt sorry for her and carried her to the nearest doctor out of encampment, after getting permission from the sergent.
She got better quickly and the next day Carter went to her while he was on break and they talked and she introduced herself as Afshan, but she was really Ate. Ate kissed him and he instantly fell for her and they had sex that night and then she disappeared and Carter was very angry but he felt a rush of energy and he led the next attack insanely and got shot in both of his legs, and was sent home, when he got back five months later to his house he found a little baby girl on his doorstep with a note signed Arianna. Carter could not believe the baby was his so quickly he took the baby to the doctor and had a test to see if it was his and the doctor told him it was. Carter had so many questions his head hurt from all the information and soon cracked and could not handle not knowing the information and the pain from his injury and hung him.
The Next Morning, Carter’s sister, Mary found Carter and dropped to her knees and cried, she called the rest of the family and she took the baby with her leaving her under her protection. Mary even named her Helena and it was the daughter she always wanted but when Helena got sick and Mary got worried and took her to the doctor and she was not anything to be worry about in her sickness but the doctor discovered that she could see no colors at all, except black and white. But, Mary noticed something as Helena got older she was not full of excitement like other kids her age were, she had made no friends and Mary was her only friend. Mary tried desperately to get Helena interested in hanging out with girls her own age but she would just walk away, not wanting anything to do with them and eventually Mary just stopped trying altogether
Helena never really liked Mary; she just put on a face because nobody else cared about her. Helena didn’t want friends when she was four because she was afraid of them, that they could see different colors and she couldn’t, but these were just childhood fears soon she would meet her right crowd.
Helena attempted to meet friends when she was 9, she tried to go up to them in the cafeteria and they would talk to her for a little while and invite her to stay with them but if they got to close to her or made fun of her in a jokingly way she would twist their arm and push them to the ground, soon she was the fright of her school and Mary had to move her out of the state in fear that it would happen again and people from other schools would hear about it. Mary thought that her problems were psychological, so Mary took her to a therapist that talked to her every Tuesday and it seemed to help Helena and by the time she was 14 she was stable enough to go back to a public school, instead of being homeschooled by Mary.
Helena was on the bus to school on the first day sitting in the corner with her headphones in her ears listening to Pierce the Veil. When the bus comes to a violent stop forward knocking everyone out of their seats, and then the bus is pushed over and people’s heads fall through the glass of the windows hitting their heads on the concrete and getting gravely injured. But, Helena was safe she crawled towards the Emergency Exit and gets out only being frightened when she sees a gigantic man screaming angrily, Helena jumps from the bus and sees a girl standing next to her and hands Helena a pen and yells for her to click it and it turns into a Celestial Bronze sword. Helena tries to charge at the beast but is knocked to the ground by one swipe of his hand and Helena is knocked to the other side of the road.
Knocking her sword out of her hand and it was too far for her to run without being attacked by the Cyclops. So, Helena tried to improvise by grabbing a shard of glass and rubber from one of the windows and aims it at the Cyclops eye and hopes that it works and the first shot misses so Helena crawls over quickly to another piece of rubber and glass and tries again this time missing him by a few inches, but still a miss. Helena knew that this last one was her last chance and as she aimed it at his eye it hit and she ran for the pen and clicked it fast and stabbed the Cyclops in the torso with it and it fell to the ground defeated.
Helena then went back over to the BC girl who congratulated her on killing the Cyclops and then tells her the whole story of how she is a demigod and there is a place for her. Helena believed her and told her that she would train with her during the summer and the girl agreed and then took her back to her school and Helena lied that she was late because of a doctor’s appointment and her mum forgot to call.
That day Mary got a call from school asking if what Helena said was true and Mary denied it and was very mad when Helena got home for lying. Helena tried to convince Mary that she was nowhere but then Mary turned on the TV and saw that there was a Breaking News story that Helena's bus was tipped over mysteriously, injuring and killing many.Mary then looked at Helena waiting for an explanation and Helena told Mary everything, even that during the summer she would be training with a teacher to master her abilities. At first, Mary did not believe her and just thought about it for days, not saying anything to Helena and then Mary sat Helena down and told her that she believed her and would support her the whole way as long as she would come home once in awhile. Helena promised and Mary kissed her and they had their dinner.
As the months went by Helena became more social able with people and put her anger into planning plans to get back at her enemies and as she went to train every summer she could live a normal life during the year until she was 17 when one of her big plans to get back at one of her enemies went terribly wrong. Helena’s enemy this week was the new girl, Trina and Helena didn’t like her because she made fun of one of her friends so Helena set a trap for her when she got a drink that the water would spray all over her but when it was about to happen she moved out of the way, into the air revealing she had wings. She was really a fury, over the years Helena had, had a lot of monster attacks.
But, this was the first one in a while but she was prepared, she dug through her backpack for the Celestrial Bronze bow and arrows, that were enchanted to reduce in size that she had gotten from her BC trainer and shot one at the furry and she fell back to the ground dead. But, through the Mist the students saw that Trina was angry and attacked Helena and Helena pulled an arrow out on her and stabbed it through her neck making her dead. So the rumor spread fast that Helena killed Trina and she was expelled from school and shunned by Molly and before she knew it she was in a courtroom where her motive was insanity, to let them go free which was easy because she was already moderately insane. She won the case and was let go free and after she went to Camp Half Blood, but soon realized that, that was not a home for someone like her so she just wondered the United States, fighting monsters and realized that the gods had never helped her through anything and why should she show kindness to people who have done nothing for her?
One night, she heard a group talking about monsters and Cmap Half Blood and went over to talk to them and it turns out they were on the run from Camp Half Blood too and were looking for a Headquarters called the Broken Covenant. So, Helena joined them and soon they found the Broken Covenant and stayed there.
Helena was welcomed into the Broken Covenant and was told everything would be forgotten about her old life here and she would be able to start all over and at that moment she wept in joy the only time she has ever shown emotion for anything through tears.
Personality: She is generally a civil person, nice to the friends who are lucky to have her, but if you mess with her, she gets back at you one hundredfold. She is always planning out before she attacks which may take weeks to exactly do.
Weapons: Bow and arrow, dagger and confusion
Faction: Ortu Justitiae
Reason: The gods have not helped me through anything. Through my travels they never helped me with my monster attacks and I was just there to rot they never helped me. I used to think they were a source of good for the people but i was a fool, now they are like kings and queens they only care about how they want to rule they do not care that their people are suffering. I can give the mortals a second chance for the pain they have caused me but the gods are finished they must go down. Joining the Broken Covenant is my way to help uprise against them and a way out of my past life in the mortal world to a new world where there are no gods and we live in peace!
Goddesses don't give birth overnight. Were the bow and arrows enchanted to become smaller? Who's Molly?
Looks good, but she wouldn't be welcome at Camp, since her mother isn't a cabin god. It'd be better if you had a member of the BC find her instead, don't have to do it, just a suggestion >.<
I suggest an image for your character. This is just in case you pick one too famous and we can correct you on the spot.
Civilians would not be let into a US military base in Afghanistan under any circumstances. He'd have to leave the base to see her. Afghani women tend not to be named Arianna. The flu cannot make you colorblind. Is she totally colorblind or just blue-green, or some other variation? Mary probably wouldn't ignore her child's lack of a social life until she was expected to develop one. Some kids can be very anti-social for a while naturally. Helena needs to explain the situation to Mary, I don't think her foster mother would be ok with her vanishing unexplained for large portions of the year, nor would come to terms with unexplained attacks on a consistent basis. That's all I can see for the moment.
