Index > Broken Covenant Claiming > Broken Covenant/Xandra Scimslancer-Accepted

Name: Xandra Scimslancer

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Species: Demigod

God Parent: Ate

Mortal Parent: James Scimslancer

Appearance:

Bryana 6

Personality:

Xandra isn't the typical nice person. Growing from a sort of broken family, she is somehow the spoiled type. Short-tempered and has certainly high standards. But all she wanted was to just have a complete family.

History: James Scimslancer, a Caucasian who moved to New York, wasn't the normal type of guy you would want to be with. Yes, he looks good, but then, he loves studying about illusions and delusions. One time, he tried working on magic and other stupid things. He visited museums of magic—witchcraft even—and took notes and studied them all alone in his typical room in his house.

Visiting one place where magic was a great subject, he met a girl named Alexandra—who was really Ate on her mischief rampage—who visits the place much as he does. She was pretty, yes, especially in his eyes. Without even knowing himself, he found himself already loving the newfound girl. One day, he invited her in his house since she was to pass his house to her home. They had tea and a long conversation, which made him fall deeply for her—though he doesn't know why—and something that James didn't expect with something like a force making him to.

Since that time, the girl never did came back. He grieved too much, not knowing the real thing why. But four months later, he found a child lying by his porch. James took it in and foolishly believing  it was from Alexandra, he tried taking care of the child by himself.

But while taking  care of the child, his mind suddenly took a different view towards the girl who he never met again. Instead of longing and love for her, he felt anger and rage, like he had been tricked by someone he really never knew.

He kept it in mind for years as the child he took in grew up. The child he regretted naming her Xandra, well, obviously from Alexandra. That made him easily remembering the confused feeling he had for her.

Xandra, on the other hand, easily knew what her father was like as she grew. Sometimes he starts having this sort of split personality then will get angry or mad for no reason. For this she just tried staying away from him, while James just gave what she needed and asked so that Xandra wouldn't bother him furthermore.

Because of what he kept doing, Xandra slowly became a spoiled brat. She was very narcissistic and sometimes had an immature behaviour. At school, she was already considering herself as the one who 'tops' the whole area. Little did she have friends who really cared for her. Actually, they were more on the bad influences.

Xandra didn't understand how it was when she started to get along with the usual powers of being a child of Ate at the age of thirteen. And little did she know that her mother was a goddess and she was demigod. She kept secret about her powers and used them for her own happiness. She started to try flirting with boys around her, and used her own powers on them—making them think that they were in love with her instead of getting away from her.

Xandra recklessly abused it. But then a girl, Jenny—a demigod— recognized her strange behaviour. Wanting to know what she thought was right, she tried befriending Xandra and succeeded. One time, Jenny brought Xandra with her and went horse riding. They got along well.

Abruptly, another similar horse appeared in front of them, except that it was on fire. It wasn't burning, like the fire was already part of it. Jenny screamed and pulled out a bronze sword and charged towards the flaming horse. Xandra, feeling that she can handle it, too, so she took out the dagger she just brought that day and joined Jenny.

Jenny told her not to, but then she didn't listen. Jenny tried distracting the horse away. It worked. But Xandra charged behind it, not thinking about the fire. As Jenny yelled once more for her to stop, Xandra ran past the horse and jabbed the long and sharp dagger on the monster's side. Not hesitating, Jenny slashed at the horse with a bronze sword, and it burst to a shower of gold dust.

After all that, Jenny tried explaining everything to Xandra. She told her about Camp Half-Blood and the like. At first Xandra didn't believe, but when Jenny led her to camp, which was just near the ranch they had gone in and stole the horses, she almost didn't believe what she saw again.

Xandra still didn't go with Jenny, and continued playing with her powers. Another time, a harpy had attacked her, but Jenny was there. Soon enough, Jenny gace Xandra a sword, small but longer than a dagger. Xandra didn't understand, but accepted it anyway. More harpies came during four years of her dispproval with Jenny, but she had the sword and Jenny and they fought together. That whole time, Jenny tried protecting her, But then, Xandra agreed to let Jenny make her believe.

Jenny introduced her, and she was welcomed in the camp.

Xandra stayed at camp, wondering if what Jenny said was right, that she was a demigod. And who her mother must be. Then she thought about her father, all alone and mad in his house. Questions started running in her mind. Who was my mom? Was she the one who destroyed my dad? Why in the world did she not show up and just say sorry? Who does she think she was to break him? Those questions buried in her mind. But she didn't go back home.

Being at the camp for just two weeks and turning to a grown teenager at seventeen changed her. She didn't abuse her powers, and started having friends with all the demigods in there. She used Celestial bronze sword Jenny gave her—for training and everything, but still kept the dagger she used for her first monster attack, even though it wasn't much of a use. But what she saw around her was not fair. She saw demigods going on quests just to get what their immortal parent wanted, and most of them never came back again. She thought how cruel those gods were, leaving their children's life for granted.

She asked some demigods who came back how they felt, and they said it was okay. She asked others, and their answers were the same. But don't they care about the ones who died? The ones who never came back? Xandra thought that the gods were manipulating them, just making their children feel happy so that they wouldn't betray their own parents. Such unfairness, she thought. It was bad, the gods and goddesses using their children as their weapon, a human shield.

Once she was claimed by her mother, everyone knowing now that she was a child of Ate, which was rare, Xandra felt anger towards her mother. How dare she destroy her father's normal life. When she knew that it was just her mother's way—to cause mischief and chaos, her rage accreted. With that in mind, she sneaked out of the camp without no one knowing and did not come back.

Wandering through the forest, already far from the horrible camp, she met a girl walking around. She greeted her, and the girl introduced herself. The new girl, seeing the camp necklace Xandra has, asked her why she wasn't there. Xandra, believing the girl was also a demigod, told everything she felt.

The girl smiled, and told her to follow. Along the way, she told Xandra about the Broken Covenant and why it was built, what was its purpose. Xandra felt delighted, and whole heartedly came with the girl. At least now, she can fight for what she felt towards the gods and help and join the group who wants just that.

With the girl telling her about it and the factions you might join in, Xandra thought to join the Veritum Unitum faction, which had the same thing as hers—gods using their children as weapons.

Preferred Faction: Veritum Unitum

Why she wanted to join Veritum Unitum: She was angry at her mom and the other deities, who were never better than the ones who preceded them. They didn't even helped their own children. yes, they've helped, but were those enough? No, it wasn't. They have just destroyed another demigod. Why don't they try getting the things that's theirs? They're more powerful than demigods. Let them try and stop thinking that 'We've been also wondering why we couldn't'. Just a try, and they couldn't even just do it. Let alone their children die to get what they wanted. It's better with these things gone, killed from history.

Xandra wanted to join the faction. She wanted to prove that the gods were cruel beings, no better than the Titans and the other primordial gods with the group of the same belief, that the world is better without gods, no people like them, no more monsters that would harm. That such things never should've existed.

Weapons: A normal dagger and a Celestial bronze sword.

I've put it in the claim actually:

With the girl telling her about it and the factions you might join in, Xandra thought to join the Veritum Unitum faction, which had the same thing as hers—gods using their children as weapons. She was angry at her mom and the other deities, who were never better than the ones who preceded them.

Xandra wanted to join the faction. She wanted to prove that the gods were cruel beings, no better than the Titans and the other primordial gods with the group of the same belief.

oh really? Opss I guessed I missed that part anyhow before this can go any further can you explain a few things?

  • how did jenny know about camp? please explain?

  • how did xandra receive her weapon? please explain that as well

Behind those cold hard computer screens.....SuitIsASexyWhoreThere’s a human heart beating away its emotions…

Jenny was a demigod. She goes to Camp Half-Blood half the time, and half at school where Xandra also goes into.If the weapon you're talking about is the dagger—she just brought it at school that day. No specific reason from her why she did. If it's about the Celestial bronze sword—she got it from the Camp itself, given to her for training and also for herself.

Thanks... :)
