Name: Abigail Johnson

Gender: Female

God Parent: Nemesis, Athena, Aphrodite

Mortal Parent: Rudy Johnson

Age: 13

Appearance: Abigail has dark green eyes that twinkle when she's happy, but darken when she's angry. She also has wavy dark brown hair that she generally keeps in a ponytail. Abigail prefers dark clothing, but sometimes she can be persuaded to wear something lighter.

Personality: Abigail's generally really shy, but once you get to know her, she's really nice, and a little crazy. Abigail is really sarcastic, but she knows when not to be. She's fiercely loyal to her friends, and always sticks up for them. However, when someone's mean to her, they'd better watch out because she always knows the perfect way to take revenge.

History: Since I'm hoping for Nemesis I'll just do the storyline as if Nemesis was Abigail's godly parent. Abigail's father was a high school biology professor in Maine. He met Nemesis at a conference, although he didn't know that she actually was Nemesis. Nemesis was actually looking for a different professor who had recently been having a lot of good luck, so she needed to give him some bad luck. She was very focused on her task and didn't even notice Rudy, who accidentally bumped into her.

Let's just say he was lucky not to have been cursed forever, but Nemesis was, as previously stated, distracted, and decided not to punish him. Rudy was very taken with her, and offered to buy her a drink after the conference was over. She agreed, somewhat to his surprise, and introduced herself as a reporter from New York, who had come to Maine to visit family.  Over coffee the two became friends. Nemesis sporadically visited Rudy over the next few years, and they eventually had Abigail.

Abigail grew up in Maine, but she always felt she didn't belong there, even though she had a very exuberant personality, and made some really good friends, Rowan and Shayna, quickly. She was bullied a lot because she did well at school, even though she was dyslexic, but Rowan and Shayna stuck up for her. Her dad helped her through her dyslexia, having taught some other students who were also dyslexic. When she turned 7, both girls moved away, and she was subject to a lot of bullying, but she never wanted to bother her dad about it, so she kept quiet.

One day, she was about 9 at the time, she had just had it, and a red haze kind of filled her vision, and she didn't really know how, but suddenly one of her main tormentors was on the ground bleeding, saying that Abigail had hit him. She was in detention for a week, which was the first time anything like that had happened to her. From that point on, she became really shy and kept her head down at school, never really talking to anyone, or taking any interest in school activities.

When Abigail was 11 and a half, she had to move to New York. Rudy never explained why, just saying something vague about a job offer, but he was actually looking for Nemesis, who he knew as Katrina Harrison, a reporter. He was still in love with her, though he would never admit it. Abigail was distraught, but she didn't complain, knowing that that would only upset her dad, and eventually made a new best friend, a girl named Hillary.

Her life wasn't all that perfect however, since several of the more popular people in the school didn't like her due to the fact that she quickly became the first in her classes. One guy, Jonathon Brown, seemed to espcially hate her. Abigail hated that, and whenever he spoke to her, she would always respond sarcastically. A few days after her 12th birthday, Jonathon went too far. He said that she had copied off him for a science test, which she didn't. However, the teacher believed him, since they both had the same mark, and she got detention that day. She was really upset, and then suddenly she thought of a plan to get revenge. She knew that Jonathon hated the water for whatever reason, so she got up really early one Saturday and rigged his entire house so that if he stepped outside, he would instantly get soaked. She had no idea how she had thought of how to do it, but she knew it was the best possible way to get revenge on him. From that point on, she always seemed to know what got on people's nerves the most, and whenever someone was mean to her she would get back at them, until eventually everyone was terrified to taunt her.

One day she was biking with Hillary to Hillary's house, which was just out of the city, when this giant dog-looking creature tried to attack her. She had no idea what was happening, but she somehow managed to dodge the attack by ducking behind a nearby tree, and then Hillary gave her a short bronze sword. She just stood staring at it for a couple seconds thinking "What am I supposed to do with this thing?"  when the giant dog thing or whatever it was called lunged at her again. Instinct took over and she slashed the sword. She missed, but she stumbled back in time to not get hurt. The dog thing lunged again, and she ran to the left.  She tripped, but as she was falling she saw a tennis ball, which gave her an idea. She grabbed the tennis ball and stood up. "Do you want the ball?" She asked, putting a playful note in her voice. The dog looked at her, but his gaze wasn't murderous anymore. Abigail threw the ball as far as she could. "Go get it!" She called. The dog turned around to figure out where the ball went. The minute he did that, Abigail ran to it and slashed with the sword. When the sword came in contact with the giant dog, the thing disintegrated.

She turned to Hillary, "What the heck was that thing?" She asked. Hillary sighed. "I thought so. Come with me. Oh. And that was a hellhound." "Um... a what?" Abigail asked, confused.  "A hellhound. It's pretty much what it sounds like. Now follow. I'm taking you to camp." "What camp?" she asked, still completely bewildered. "A camp for people like you." Hillary said. "Wait... Are you taking me to a camp for crazy people? Wow... What a great way to spend my thirteenth birthday. Going insane." Abigail said, now panicing slightly.

"And what's this sword thing?" She asked, tapping it. Suddenly it seemed to ripple in the light, then it turned into a friendship bracelet! "And how-" she started, but Hillary cut her off. "That's a hiding mechanism. No, it's not a camp for crazy people, and the sword is made of Celestial bronze so it can kill monsters. I'll explain more when we get to camp. it's not much farther." Hillary replied, slightly out of breath from biking so long and so fast.

Even during the two's short conversation they'd covered quite a bit of distance from the spot where the hellhound had appeared. Finally, after another 5 minutes or so, Hillary got off her bike near a hill. "Follow me, Abigail," Hillary called as she started walking up the hill, panting.

Suddenly Hillary turned around. "I guess you should know before you get into camp. You're a demigod." Abigail stared for a second. "A demigod. Half god or goddess, and half mortal. I'm one too, actually. I'm a Daughter of Iris. I got bored of camp and decided to go to the outside world. Anyway, I thought you might be a demigod but I wasn't sure, so I decided to stick around you in case you were. Luckily, not too many monsters smelled us..."

"Smelled us?" Abigail cut her off. "I don't smell!" "Well, demigods have this special scent that they can't get rid of that monsters track. So it's not you specifically, just demigods in general. I'm really confused as to why moer monsters didn't attack us since both of us together should have been like... Um... like if the monsters were little kids we'd be an ice cream truck." Hillary finished off lamely. "Wow. Real nice comparison there." Abigail remarked drily. "And if this is real, which I still don't think it is, then maybe it's because I didn't know I was a demigod? I mean- if you know something you'll focus on it more, so if I focused on the fact that I was a demigod thing that would probably make my smell stronger, right?"

Hillary looked astonished. "That's what I was thinking. There's a reason you're my friend, Abigail." Abigail smiled, but then said, "But what about you? I mean, you know what you are..." "I do, but there's a reason I live out of the city. Well, two actually. One, I was hoping you'd be at my house if it turned out you were a demigod and got attacked, and second, if monsters attack me here, no-one would ever know." Abigail shrugged. "Whatever. This is some huge prank, but go on."

"Well... I've been waiting for something to happen to prove that you were a demigod because I didn't want to be wrong." "Makes sense." Abigail said. "Anyway, something happened." Hillary said, laughing nervously a little. "Um... I'll just go with that, but I still think you're joking." Abigail responded, still confused, and a little annoyed that Hillary seemed perfectly serious when this was obviosuly some sort of elaborate practical joke. "I'm not! Come on, you've got to trust me on this! Anyway, you know how we studied the Greek myths this year back in December?" Hillary continued. "Um... How could I forget? That was my favorite unit!" Abigail said.

"Well... All those myths are real." Hillary pressed on. "No way! Everything else... I kinda believed, but this? No. Just no." Abigail said, looking at Hillary in disbelief. "Sorry, no. It's real. Abby-" Hillary started, but was cut off with a clipped "Don't. Ever. Call me that again." Before Hillary could respond, they came to a a gate, with a tree on one side. The top of the - well it wasn't a gate per se, just two pillars with "Camp Half-Blood" written in letters that at first didn't look like normal English letters, but then solidified. "Well, thank the gods we got here before you got really angry." Hillary muttered before saying more loudly, "Welcome to your home." Abigail looked around, taking in everything, and forgetting her previous disbelief. It did feel like a home. "Home." She agreed. "I told you so." Hillary said grinning.

Weapons: A short celestial bronze sword that shrinks into a friendship bracelet, and innate sense of what gets on people's nerves

Before I go ahead and check the claim itself, kindly split your history into legible paragraphs instead of keeping it as one single paragraph. It is very diifficult for claim workers to read right now.

Adding to Kevin's comment, what age is she currently?Such is life~ lol. Jap32Broken

  • I highly doubt the school is near a body of water as there are safety issues with young children. A telekhine's strength is significantly reduced when on land are it is clumsy walking on land, so it's highly unlikely for one to attack Abigail nearby school (which generally is not near a body of water).
  • 14 is a little later for a demigod to have their first monster attack. As Abigail isn't a child of a big-three god, her first monster attack should generally occur at the ages of 10 to 13.
  • Was the school nearby or on Long Island because from I what I read they simply walked to camp from the school.
  • You shouldn't put the age she got to camp but the age she is currently. Some users would put the age the character got to camp but have their current age be a few years older which is not allowed.

Okay I changed it so a hellhound attacks her, she gets attacked at thirteen, and they're biking from school, which is on the outskirts of the city. Also I changed the age to what she is now not the age from when she got to camp. Princessever (talk) 16:37, June 15, 2014 (UTC

Would you kindly add some more ages throughout the childhood becasue i feel age 11 is a large age gap. You could say at age 4 blah blah, and age 5 blah blah. Also add more detail throughout the childhood 141667793555905    IT WAS ULTRAVIOLENCE   ONCE UPON A DREAM ♫ DEATH

Okay I added some events at ages 7 and 9 Princessever (talk) 17:05, June 17, 2014 (UTC)

what happened when she was 13 (because I'm assuming that the last two paragraphs describe the time she was 14)? And who exactly was Hillary? A nymph? A daughter of some god?

Pandy-LSP render“Oh my glob!! Drama bomb!”~Pandora

Okay I explained about Hillary, and it kind of says that she was thirteen "Great way to celebrate my thirteenth birthday. Going insane." And she's currently fourteen, but she got to camp at thirteen. Sorry about any confusion there Princessever (talk) 17:31, June 18, 2014 (UTC)

Could you please expand her personality so it's 3-4 sentences? When she turned seven, who was the girl she moved away with? Technically any demigod can go out into the outside world, and a child of Iris would be attacked by monsters just as much as any demigod (apart from children of the big three). Therefore Hilary and Abigail's joint demigod scent would have attracted more monsters.

Okay expanded the personality. Abigail didn't move, her friends did. The reason that that's even mentioned is because it left her more vulnerable to bullies. And I kind of explained the whole demigod scent thing. I hope that's better! Princessever (talk) 14:16, June 20, 2014 (UTC)

Why did abigail want revenge? It cant be just because that hated each other. Also how did Abigai doge the attack? 141667793555905    IT WAS ULTRAVIOLENCE   ONCE UPON A DREAM ♫ DEATH

Okay I explained why she wanted revenge (she was falsely accused of cheating on a science test) and she dodged the attack by ducking behind a tree Princessever (talk) 18:44, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

Can you format these into better paragraphs? The best formatting for a paragraph is 6-8 sentences at best.

Okay I reformatted the paragraphs I hope that's better for you! Princessever (talk) 03:43, June 23, 2014 (UTC)

  • "One day, she was about 9 at the time, she just exploded"
    • She exploded?? What do you mean? Like, it's probably a metaphor but what is she actually doing?
  • Fix some of the grammar please? xP
  • When was her age when she was fighting the hellhound?
  • Explain the first monster attack a bit more
    • For example she ran in and she missed aim at least once but then finally killed it after throwing a rubber ball to distract it
  • o.o if Hillary knew that she was a demigod then she didn't she tell her about camp earlier? Technically the earlier you go, the quicker and safer you would be
  • Why would the dad just go look for Nemesis? o.o

Template:Kat claim sig

Yes it was a metaphor but I changed so that she had just had it with the bullies.

Corrected grammar

Okay I changed it so she missed and she distracted it with a tennis ball.

It says later on "Great way to celebrate my thirteenth birthday... going crazy." She had just turned thirteen.

I changed it so Hillary wasn't sure if she was a demigod and was waiting for something to happen to prove that she was a demigod.

The dad was looking for nemesis because:

1) he didn't know that she was nemesis; he though she was a human reporter

2) He was still in love with her

Princessever (talk) 15:57, June 23, 2014 (UTC)

You've listed her age at the top of the claim as 15, but the way the claim ends she seems to be 13. Which is it? Other than that fact, the claim is good to go.

User:Bird of Winter/sigcoding2

Okay I changed it so that her age at the top of the claim is thirteen. Thanks!! Princessever (talk) 15:44, June 25, 2014 (UTC)

You Have Been Claimed

This claim has been approved as a daughter of Nemesis. You now need to make a page for them and a word bubble, if you aren't sure how to do this you can see the guide here. Once you have done that you can add your character's name to the cabin list located on the cabin pages and start role playing with your new character.
