Name: Clovis Jones Age 14

Gender: Male

God Parent: Aeolus/Zeus/Notus

Mortal Parent: Mary Jones

Appearance: http://www.principalstalent.com/images/uploads/Kyle_3.jpg

Personality: There are 2 sides to Clovis. Clovis is very kind and gentle to everyone he meets. He has a sly sense of humour, and jokes about every-day topics. He is a little shy, which sometimes causes him to get pushed around by other people.  He has a quiet confidence about him, and is loyal to the few friends he has.

Clovis has the tendancy to take other peoples comments to heart, which sometimes eat at him for days. He gets over it, but it does wound his self confidence. He strives to be a harder person. He wants to find himself.

Clovis is loyal to his few friends, and will do anything for them.  He has a quiet sense of confidence about him, and is a little bit shy.

History:

Mary Jones was a window cleaner. She made a living in the big city of New York. Every day she would hitch herself onto one of the massive skyskrapers and gradually move downwards, cleaning each window with care. She loved how clean the air was ontop of one of the skyscrapers, and enjoyed the weightless feeling she had while up in the air.

The wind god, Aeolus, sensed this, and would often watch her as she went about her work. Her love for the air touched his heart.

Then one day, there was an accident, and Mary Jones fell. Her harness was worn thin with the years of work, and she fell.

Aeolus was pained to see her fall to her death, as he had grown fond of her. He summond the winds, and caught her, and carried her to the bottom of the building, in a secluded alley. The Mist covered it up to make it look like she landed safely in a dumpster.

Once Mary processed that she was alive, Aeolus introduced himself. They liked each other instantly, and began dating that night. Mary eventually learned that Aeolus was a greek god, but that just made her love him even more.

This went one for a month, then one night, after a night of heavy drinking, Mary passed out. When she awoke, she found out she was pregnant, with Aeolus no where to be seen. He had only left a letter, explaining everything, and including a map to camp half blood.

Clovis Jones was born.

She brought him up in a small apartment, in the poorer area of New York. Mary was now the manager of the window cleaning company, and with the little extra money they had, they spent on small luxuries at least once a month, like a movie, or a new toy etc. Mary wanted to keep Clovis happy, and wanted to try to be the best mother she could possibly be. She thought her son deserved better.

Life countinued on like this until Clovis turned 13.

When Clovis turned 13, things started to get weird. On his way back from school one day, he saw a women with the body of a bird. (Harpy) He tried to ignore it. The harpy  made him edgy.

The harpy took special intrest in him. As he was walking home from school, it followed him overhead. After about a few blocks, it dove stright to him, its talons unsheathed. Clovis's demigod instincts kicked in, and he doged her just in time. The harpy quickly recovered, and went for him again. Clovis didnt know how, but suddenly, a huge gust of wind was launched at the harpy, head on. The harpy went spiraling hard into the brick wall of the nearest house, vaporizing.

When told his mom about this event,  she got really worried. Clovis's mom new that her son was a demigod, but Clovis did not. Mary wanted to protect Clovis as much as possible.

So by the end of the week, Clovis had a new step-father. He was a fat lazy hog of a man that sweated like nobodys buisness.

Clovis"s new stepfather walked him to school and back, and  he was safe at school amongst all the humans His stepfathers human scent protected Clovis, and so he stopped having his strange sightings and encounters.

1 year passed like this.

Now that there were 3 people living in the apartment, and still only Mary working, money was growing scarce. There was no more Monthly-treats, and his step-dad had now takin to sleeping for most of the day, not helping with anything.

Clovis was now 14. He was not very atheletic, but was thin , very fast, and had good endurance.

He now had his own job at afterschool, to earn a little extra money.

It was here that he had his first monster attack.

He was just locking up the doors to the shop that night, when he heard a grunt behind him. He turned around to see a huge brute of a dog standing there.  He lept to try and bite Clovis, who was fast, and was already running down the street, towards the subway.

The Hellhound ran after him,  by now Clovis was really scared. Clovis noted that none of the people around him reacted to anything, which was weird.

He decended the stairs to the subway, with the hellhound just a few paces behind him. Clovis was now on the platform, with a subway train coming into the station. He did not know how he did it, but at that moment, a huge gust of wind came into the station and pushed the Hellhound infront of the oncoming train, killing it.

After seeing this, he raced home to his apartment. His mother was waiting for him, worried as ever. Clovis told her everything.

Mary only nodded her head, and told her son to get into there car now. He did as she told him, and together, thay raced of to camp halfblood.

Upon reaching, Mary dropped him of, and told him to enter the camp, and go towards the big house, they would explain everything. She told him to trust her. After seeing that he had passed the magical barrier, she blew him a kiss, and drove back towards the apartment. That was the last time Clovis saw her.

Clovis went towards the big house, where he met Alexander the Great, who explained everything.

Comments[]

It looking good so far. Here are a few things to fix, just to start.

  • Please elaborate on how his mother met his father.
  • Please add a monster attack. One per year after he is first attacked and he is not at camp.
  • Please explain how and or where Clovis got his weapon.

These are just to start. Keep up the good work. Template:NatD

I'm adding onto Nat's comment to try to speed up the claiming process a bit for your character:

  • Please sign your claim with your signature (4 ~'s or ~~~~).
  • Please expand on the personality and appearance so that it is approximately 3 good-length sentences long, instead of individual describing words. If you provide an image/model for your character, no writing is needed for the appearance.
  • Adding onto Nat's second point, as a child of a big-three god, Clovis will need to encounter his first monster between the age of 8 to 11 and for each year after that he did not go to camp he needs to encounter another monster.
  • Camp will rarely send a "team" of satyrs/nymphs to escort a demigod to camp. But since you said Butch is new to the outside world, two satyrs (including Butch himself) may be reasonable.
  • Since Clovis got to camp at the age of 13 and is currently 14, what has he been doing at camp for the past year (or months)? As he wasn't roleplayed you can't assume that he has been participating in the events that occurred or that he has been interacting with other characters. This is against our claim rules; Clovis may only have been at camp for a maximum of one to two weeks after the end of the history.

Almost there! Just need to clear up a few things. :)

  • On the wiki, Chiron isn't the director of the camp anymore and Alexander the Great is actually the director.
  • As Cyclopes are categorized under a medium difficulty, no matter how fast he can be, I don't really think he could outrun a giant Cyclopes with no training and insight on what to do when you come in contact with that type of monster; given they can sweep their opponents with their extremely large arms or unbalance his running with its big stomping. You can use the monster for your claim if you would be able to be more elaborate on the attack, like how he managed to defeat the monster in another way, not really outrunning it. If not, please choose from the mosters categorized light, here.

hi there I'll be your claimer today and seriously your claim is good I just want to point out one thing... I dont think the scented part has anything to do with bathing >,< sorry so please take that part off?

Your claim should be ready for approval soon, just a few issues that need to be brought up:

  • It really doesn't make sense for Clovis to have seen monsters on his way to school and back but not get attacked by them. If the monsters are nearby they should detect Clovis' scent and attack him. And Clovis' step-father's not present so his bad smell could not have covered Clovis' demigod scent.
  • Gods don't tend to give their demigod children weapon(s) when they claim them. Since they are already at camp, they could just easily get one at the camp armory. If a god does give a weapon for his child, it would be given to the mortal parent prior to him leaving and the mortal parent would give the weapon to the child when necessary.
  • For our reference, please provide Clovis' current age near the top of your claim.

Just make any changes necessary for the bolded point from my previous comment and your claim "should" be good to go :3.

Just three more things and hopefully I can approve this claim so that you can get started in roleplaying:

  • If Clovis encountered a satyr, the satyr should have detected Clovis' scent as well. If so, why didn't the satyr urge Clovis to go to camp or try to bring him to camp (since that is a satyr's task)?
  • Since you made it so that Clovis' first monster attack was at the age of 12, he'll also need to encounter a monster at the age of 13 (since a demigod will need to encounter another monster for each year after their first monster attack that they did not go to camp).
  • How does Mary know of the location of camp? If Aeolus had told her that before he left, please specify that.

Thank you for patience and I hope to approve your claim soon.

You Have Been Claimed

Logo camp

This claim has been approved as a son of Aeolus. You now need to make a page for them and a word bubble, if you aren't sure how to do this you can see the guide here. Once you have done that you can add your character's name to the cabin list located on the cabin pages and start role playing with your new character. If you have any questions feel free to ask a member of the Admin team.
