Name: Codie Lost

Codie again

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Godly Parent: Ariadne

Mortal Parent: Andrew Lost

Species: Demigod

Siblings: Caleb Lost, older brother by four years

Model: Paula Galecka

Appearance: Codie has long, wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. She is about 5' 9" (179 cm) tall. Her skin is pale and she has no freckles. She is kind of a tomboy, so she wears a lot of jeans, plaid, and boots.

Personality: Her most notable character trait is her shyness. She doesn't really talk much until you really get to know her. Codie is also is smart but just doesn't really care about grades that much. She almost always is deep in thought and has a sad look on her face. Her favorite thing to do is taking photographs of everything worth taking a picture of.

Weapon: Codie's weapon of choice is a javelin. It is wooden with a celestial bronze point. She has a sash like thing made of leather that hold the spear. In the middle of her back on the sash thing is a clip that holds it in place. When the spear is attached to the clip it is shrunken down to about the size of a water bottle. And when it is taken of, it expands back to normal.

History: Andrew Lost had always loved to go on adventures as a kid and that fascination continued with him as an adult. Andrew dropped out of high school became treasure hunter and went all over the United states trying to track down different ancient artifacts. He lived out of his van and barley had enough money to live.

At the age of 28, he settled down with a woman from his hometown and married her. Together they had a child, Caleb, though it did not go well after that. The woman did not want to live with a man that would be gone most of the year on "childish goose chases" and they divorced a year after the baby was born.

That whole ordeal forced Andrew to realize that he could not go on doing what he loved because he now had a whole person to take care of by himself. He took what money he had left after the divorce and bought an apartment in the suburbs of Chicago. He became a guard at the National Archives there while a nanny took care of Caleb.

One day a mysterious woman arrived that Andrew had never seen before arrived at the building and couldn't seem to look away from her. She walked up asking directions from him and he could barley talk so he just walked with her to where she needed to go. She also seemed to fancy him and they agreed to go on a date.

Andrew learned that her name was Ariadne and she was a god but he still loved her, she is the goddess of passion after all. Together they had a child and Ariadne explained to Andrew that she could not stay and had to go onto other godly responsibilities. As soon as the little baby girl was born she left and Andrew was heartbroken, but they did have time to name the baby together, Codie.

Codie was always told as a child her and Caleb came from different mothers, but their situations were the same. She was not told about the godly part of her since Andrew did not want her to be put into any harm. Growing up with no sister or motherly figure did make Codie a bit of a tomboy, liking country music and cowboy boots.

When she was around 10 she realized that she had a talent for solving puzzles and the little mazes on the back of the kiddie menus at restaurants. At the end of her 13th year of age was when her first monster attack came. She was supposed to be having a fishing day on Lake Michigan with her brother and dad, but had gotten bored and started to wander on the paths around the lake.

As Codie was walking she started to notice a couple large, crane like birds landing on the ground and in the water around her. She walked faster but they twaddled close behind and seemed to be casing her. She ran and they few after her. They were getting very close so she grabbed a tree limb laying on the ground in front of her and threw it backwards. There was a squeak behind her and she looked back to see she had actually hit a bird. The branch held the bird down for a little bit but it soon got out and continued after her.

They were flying so fast and close over her head she just stopped running for a second and the birds kept going straight. Codie turned around the way she came and ran back towards her family. The birds obviously realized she turned around, also did so and continued the chase. Codie was yelling for her father and brother and the closer she got, the more they heard her and realized something was wrong.

Andrew had just docked the boat and saw his daughter running down the path. He figured out that the birds must have been some of the monsters Adriane told him might attack. She had given him a celestial bronze dagger to protect them if anything were to happen and he had carried it around since. It had been charmed so that mortals could hold the grip of the knife but still not be hurt by the blade itself. He threw the dagger at the closest bird and it disintegrated that one and stuck into the second, killing that one also.

He father then explained that she was part god, a daughter of Ariadne. Before Ariadne had to leave, they talked about what would have to happen to Codie when she became a teenager. The goddess told Andrew about Camp Half Blood and how the demigods sent there would be much safer than staying anywhere else. Andrew gave the map to camp that he had gotten Ariadne to Codie and gave her money for a bus fare and anything else she might need. He kept the dagger he used to kill the birds with in case he ever needed to protect himself or his children again.

She went on her way to camp as soon as she could and got there quickly to avoid another monster attack. When she arrived in New York, she followed the map and arrived with little complications, nervous, yet excited about her new life.

Baa~! Since you've mentioned this is a WIP, you have until February 3 to finish this claim. As a helpful note, planning characters in sandboxes saves many users from the stress-inducing deadlines.

Nice claim, the only thing i really see is- the whole purpose of a monster is to eat demigods. A branch would not have kept off the stymphilian bird, and would not have killed it (it's not celestial bronze or stygian iron)

Just fix the monster attack and you should be good

I fixed the mistake and edited the weapon to go along with what I redid.

this is probably soewhat nitpicky but- i just wanna say daggers are really inefficient weapons for fighting monsters, and are mainly good for support, and not as a main weapon. I highly suggest you change it

I'm trying to figure out which weapons are main ones and which are secondary but I can't find anything on the wiki. If anyone could comment a quick list of main weapons that would be helpful.

swords, bows, axes, spears, javelins, mace, club, etc

that sort of thing. basically, any weapon will do, as long as its not dagger/knife. those are secondary

it is borderline too "lucky" but w/e
