Eliam Castro

Name: Eliam Castro

Gender: Male

God Parent: Morpheus, Hypnos, Prometheus

Mortal Parent: Sofia Castro

Current Age: Sixteen

Nationality: Argentinian

Appearance: (See Photo)

Personality: Eliam possesses an aggressive, arrogant and selfish personality. He is show to get irate or agitated very easily and will put of a fight with those he is easily jealous of. He somehow learned to control his anger towards others through the guidance of his peers, but once they abandon him, he becomes callous and hardhearted towards others once again.

History: Sofia was attending St. Daphne University of Nursing in Brazil when she meet Dorian (Morpheus). He tortured her in Calculus BC as a freshman. The two became involved in a romantic relationship which resulted in the birth of Eliam. After his birth, Dorian became more distant towards Sofia and abandoned her without a word. While Sofia was still hospitalized, she received message from a dream nymph named Iophossa who explained that Sofia's child was a demigod who would grow up with many difficulties. She advised Sofia to take Eliam to sanctuary called Camp Half Blood at the age of thirteen. The nymph also left Sofia with a scarf and instructed her to give it to her son when he was of age.

Sofia could barely support herself financially and dropped out of St. Daphne when Eliam was two years old. She later sent him to her parents house until he was the age of five. Sofia later took Eliam to Argentina where she got a job as an anesthesiologist. Eliam grew up independent due to the fact that his mother was constantly working during the day and night.

Sometime later, Sofia died in a 'car accident' while rushing to the hospital when Eliam was five. Eliam was enraged and took out his anger on those who were close to him. At the age of nine, he was sent to his uncle's house who he didn't even know or recognize. Castro, Eliam's uncle, was oppressive and strict to his nephew who he didn't want to look after.

A year later, Eliam was constantly involved violence and fights. Students who had teased because he was an outlier where nearly beaten to death at the hands of Eliam. All that changed when he had meet Aeriel Picasso when he was about ten. She had taught him how to soothe his anger towards others and was the only person he could relate to at school and home. However, when she had to move back to Costa Rico and withdrew from his school, he felt abandoned and schemed to runaway from his uncle.

However, his uncle did him a favor by sending him to his grandparents house the following year. When he arrived there, they embraced him with compassion and affection. He was home-schooled by his aunt who lived with her parents (Eliam's grandparents). At the age of twelve, Eliam began sleepwalking and developed a cause of sleep paralysis.

Doctors didn't know what was causing the sleep predicaments and didn't know what to advise Eliam. He became confusing reality with dreaming, as he barely got enough sleep. One day before his birthday, Eliam dozed off in his bedroom. He 'woke up' with a inky creature looming over him with leather bat wings spread out. He had a dagger held in his hand and smiled wickedly at Eliam.

Eliam dogged his attack and ran out his bedroom. He found himself not running on the streets of his own home, but on the shores of Costa Rica barefoot. He was so confused that the creature eventually caught up to him and slashed Eliam in the back with his black dagger. Eliam saw a scarf tumbling in the sand and instinctively ran after it.

The scene shifted, and Eliam was on the island of Pompeii during its eruption. He again saw the silk scarf tumbling in the air and snatched it this time. As soon as he touched it, he became invisible. Once the creature caught up to Eliam, he tackled it onto the ground and grabbed the dagger out of his hand. He stabbed him in the heart, and the dream receded.

Eliam awakened in his bedroom, but this time, he was covered in sweat. The scarf was tied around his neck and the dagger held in his hand. A beautiful nymph sat in a chair reading one of his magazines. She introduced herself as Iophossa, a dream nymph. She explained that Eliam was attacked by a sorceress (worked for Circe) who cast a spell on Eliam that haunted his dreams. She also told Eliam that she had been present during his birth, but as he aged, her connection to him became weaker.

Iophossa told Eliam to go to a place called Camp Half Blood with a satyress named Fiona. When Eliam woke up, the doorbell rang as if on cue. Just as the nymph said, the satyress appeared at his doorpost. He packed, and the two flew to Camp on Pegasus.

The trip took the two nearly nine months. The pair encountered a series of monster attacks. One of the creatures they encountered were the Stymphalian birds. The satyress commanded the Pegasus to dodge their attacks, but he was ultimately wounded by one of the birds sharp talons. The satyress landed the Pegasus hear an open pavilion where mortals were crowded. As the birds came swooping in, a symphony began to play and scared the birds off. Once the Pegasus was healed to the point where it could fly again, the two stormed off to Camp Half Blood.

As the two continued to get side tracked by monsters, the journey dragged on. Once, their Pegasus was attacked by Hellhounds while they rested on the ground. They had to navigate their way through the Amazon Rain Forest for nearly four months before they emerged from it safe and sound. As they continued to walk on foot, they made their way towards the Pacific Ocean. The satyress wanted to cross the boarder by sea instead of on foot or sky (the Pegasus was healed by then and roamed wherever it wanted).

They boarded a ship that slipped immigrants into the United States undetected. However, crew was attacked by sirens. The satyress saved Eliam by tossing him into the ocean. There, he nearly drowned, but luckly a nymph observing the situation casted a current to send the boy on the beach of Flordia. She then instructed him when he woke up to travel by sea without any interferrence from humans. She informed Eliam that the satyress had drowned in the shipwreak and didn't survive. To make matters worse, he was the only surviver of the siren attack.

The sea nymph summoned a hippocampus and commanded it to take Eliam to Camp. The travel took a week before he made it ashore to New York. When he set foot on the Campus grounds, it was his birthday making him sixteen.

Thirteen--NixieOz (talk) 03:25, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

How old is he now? As making this claim is similar to him just arriving at camp, where has he been since he first arrived at camp at age 13?

Gigi2 Brocky Good morning, campers!

His fifteen :-) and his been throughout most of North America some parts of South America

I'm sorry, but that model does not look 15. How old was he when his mother died, and when he met Ariel? I'm unsure as to whether nightmare daemons exsist in the canon, or on thw wiki, so I think it might be safer to include a regular monster attack. Also, for clarification, the monster attack happens at the age of 12? What is the black dagger made of? Why did the trip to camp take two years? Over the two years, he would have been attacked more. Please add that he turns 15 in the claim.

-D He was five when Sofia died in a car accident and ten when he meet Aeriel. I changed the nightmare daemon to Lamia who cast a spell on Eliam haunting his dreams. Yes the monster attack happened at the age of twelve. Black dagger made out of obsidian. The trip took two years because they were flying on Pegasus with constant monster attacks. Besides, he lived in South America so it took longer. I added that they were attacked by more monsters.

Why did he arrive at camp after two years? What happened during those years?

.....I already said "The trip took two years because they were flying on Pegasus with constant monster attacks. Besides, he lived in South America so it took longer. I added that they were attacked by more monsters." Did you read my previous comment?--NixieOz (talk) 22:20, February 13, 2014 (UTC)

I appreciate that you added more detail but for a journey that took years, even that brief paragraph will not suffice I am afraid. Can you please elaborate further on the journey to Camp? I know that you wrote details regarding the fights along the way but it would be much appreciated if you added, for example, places where they stopped by (maybe a bit about what they did in each place, though you don't have to describe EVERY single miniscule detail). Thanks for taking the time to make and edit the claim and I hope to see you roleplaying with us soon! Moodle.

Added more--NixieOz (talk) 00:04, February 14, 2014 (UTC)

  • Two years is overkill, considering the trip from Florida to New York took three days. Even though they were coming lived in South America, pegasus can fly pretty fast.
  • A Lamia would not be his first monster attack. He is the child of a minor god. Try an easier monster. Also, a dagger would not kill it.
  • His current age says 16, yet you say in the claim that he is 15. Which one is it?

Take your time. I've got forever to wait -Demi ღ

Okay changed the two years thing. Changed the monster to a sorceress that worked for Circe. Changed his age to sixteen.--NixieOz (talk) 14:52, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

How did he survive the siren attack? They lure ships to their rocks and the sailors jump off the boats and drown. How didn't he drown?

Harlequin Moon   Bring me the Moon and Stars -  Bird

He got pushed underwater, so he couldn't hear them.--NixieOz (talk) 13:11, March 3, 2014 (UTC)
