Celeste 1

Mortal Parent: Jace McAlister

Appearance: See pics (Model: Celestia Ludenberg)

Personality: Fiona is a shrewd and cunning girl. Growing up in Vegas, she developed an affinity for card games. Her favorite deck is the spades. She's extremely bright and clever and possesses deductive skills of a detective. Fiona is very manipulative and has an unnatural dexterity in controlling others. She won't pick sides, and believes she's better off on her own side. She's calm and collected by nature and lies with a straight face. Fiona thinks she's the worst, so she has a tendency of acting like the best. Fiona rarely makes mistakes, if ever. She goes to long distances to prove that she's always right. She can lose her temper over a very long period of time, and in her furious state she is quite deadly.

History: Jace McAlister, gambler extraordinaire. Jace lived in Vegas and traveled from casino to casino. Jace McAlister was infamous in every hotel and casino. He basically sat atop a throne of his own success. He was a genius in everything from the machines to the table games. With the money he earned (not to mention a car he won as well) he resided in the penthouse of the Aria hotel. He met Apate at a table game. Apate decided there was no better place than Vegas to find potential partners, so she toured a few of the casinos. In the Aria, Jace caught her eye. On purpose, she joined the same game Jace was playing to see just how experienced he was. Jace ended up winning as always, but was astounded at how well the beautiful woman was able to gamble. Apate was going easy of course, but it's not like Jace needed to know that. To congratulate her for her efforts, they went to the bar to treat themselves to a couple of drinks. A couple of drinks became a blur of repeated shots, and the drunk man and goddess stumbled back into Jace's penthouse. They did the do, and Apate left in the morning.

Jace forgot all about Apate. Dismissing the night as a drunk one night stand, he carried on with his normal life until a swaddle appeared on his doorstep. A baby with jet black hair and crystalline dark red eyes was bundled up in a white blanket with a note attatched to it. On the note, it described that the woman Jace consorted with that night was actually a greek goddess. Scrawled

at the bottom of the note was an address. Jace was stunned. Was this a trick? But then, studying the child closer, he noticed she had his jet black hair and pale complexion. She had her mother's ruby colored irises. He realized as he contemplated about the infant longer that he was coming to love her more than his own life. Jace decided to raise the baby, and named her Fiona. Jace hired a nanny to care for Fiona as he tried to earn more money through gambling. His tactics were a success, and Jace was flourishing more than ever. When Fiona was four, Jace started to teach her the art of card playing. Fiona was a prodigy in card playing. Even Jace was astounded by her ability. Thanks to both Apate and her father, she got the best out of both of her parents. Fiona became obsessed with cards. She ditched the cheesy children shows and instead watched card matches and table games recorded on television to study new methods and techniques. When Fiona turned eight, Jace walked her through the Monte Carlo's casino. Fiona had never been in a casino before, so she marveled at all of the games being played and the machines. Fiona decided that when she grew up, she would follow in her father's footsteps and become the successor of Vegas' best gambler.

By age eleven, Fiona was popular in her private academy. Her peers were amazed at her skills in cards. Fiona even taught some of her friends to play poker. The story of Fiona McAlister, the best child gambler, spread across the student body. Unknown to Fiona, her academy was a hotspot for demigods. A satyr soon heard about the story. Curious of Fiona's skills, the satyr approached Fiona one day and befriended her. The satyr, Keller, picked up Fiona's scent and classified her as a demigod. Keller became Fiona's best friend. When Fiona was thirteen, just shy of her fourteenth birthday and the end of the school year, she was attacked by a hellhound. It occured when Keller and Fiona were waiting for a bus back to downtown Vegas. It was isolated and late at night because they'd left the school late. Keller panicked. He got out a celestial bronze dagger and threw it to Fiona. Fiona managed to catch it just before the hellhound pinned her down. When the hellhound pinned her down, she plunged the dagger into it, successfully killing it. Keller went home with her that night to explain everything to Jace. Jace remembered about the address on the bottom of the note attatched to Fiona's swaddle when she appeared on his doorstep. He had surprisingly kept the note. The address was the address of Camp Half-Blood. Jace decided it was best Fiona for her education if she would stay there only for summers and not year round. The next month, in July, Jace sent Fiona there the summer she turned fourteen.

Fiona trained herself to work with butterfly knives there. She also trained to work with using a spear and using her powers as well. The autumn she got back and started school, a harpy swooped in and attacked her when she was walking alone back to the Aria. It attacked her when it was dark and she was cornered in an alley. Fiona used her spear to kill the harpy. She returned to camp that following summer when she turned fifteen. That winter, she came across another hellhound when walking home from a corner store late one night. Unfortunately, she hadn't been prepared enough to fight it well. The only items she had to defend herself were her powers and one butterfly knife. Fiona was able to kill it but not without getting injured. The injuries were so bad, Jace hadn't let her out of the hotel unless it was school matters. Jace decided to send her to Camp to train herself even harder. This time, she would stay year round.

just some small issues. how would she get into a casino at 8? and i don't think you can have her already be there for a year and i think they would've taken her to camp immediately   Spiderman-Hydro-SigHydro   " We all have secrets. You shouldn't name your character the same name as the model you're using, that's just bad taste and kinda really dumb

Actually, it's not illegal for a minor to just walk through casinos in the states as long as they stay on the main path and don't linger. It's recommended to have an adult walk through with you (or the security would approach you and start questioning you with things like "Where are your parents?" or "Could you show us where your parents are?"), but not actually against the law to have an adult not walk with you. Her and Jace never engaged in actual gambling, only him walking her around the casino.

I've stated that because Jace was concerned with her education, he choose to only send her during summer break. He did take her to Camp immediately after her first monster attack, just not year round. When she got badly injured with her fight with the hellhound, Jace decided her safety was more important than her grades, so he sent her year round to train.
