Personality: Isolde is very shy and is generally unwilling to approach others. She is calm and very well mannered. Isolde speaks only when spoken to, she respects her elders and is very obedient. Her personality is because of her strict upbringing.

History: Isolde was a child of King Henry VIII. Henry VIII saw Isolde’s God parent and decided she would be the perfect wife if his current one could not provide a son. Henry’s 3rd wife, Jane Seymour had recently died when Persephone/Eros/Harmonia fell pregnant. Henry was convinced he was to have another son. He was angry when Isolde was born as she was female and Persephone/Eros/Harmonia left almost straight after. He organized a large-scale search for Isolde’s mother but she was never found.

Isolde and her father were never close. She reminded him of her mother so he kept Isolde at a distance and so his servants practically raised her. Henry’s other wives were not fond of Isolde as she was a constant reminder that Henry had been with other women.

Isolde was taught strict manners and that men were her superiors. She was taught to do as commanded and ask no questions. Isolde ran away from her home at age 11 as she was sick of her strict home environment. Henry had an unsuccessful search arranged before claiming she had died from disease.

With nowhere to go, Isolde sought refuge in a mentally ill man’s house. The man, Thomas, had lost his wife, son and daughter. His son died from disease at a young age and his wife died in childbirth. His daughter died from disease due to the lack of hygiene at the time. Thomas had gone mad from grief and thought Isolde was his daughter and so he fed her a meal a day if she searched for her “brother” and “mother”. One morning, Isolde was woken by Thomas who was shouting “Praise be to my daughter-god!” Confused, Isolde asked Thomas what the meaning was behind his statement. He claimed that he had met a hoofed man who told him that she was a child of god and that he would take her to a safe place called god camp. Thomas instructed Isolde to “pack her trinkets”.

Later that evening there was a knock at the door. Thomas answered it and a woman introduced herself as Joan, a fairly common name at the time. Thomas rejoiced thinking he had found his wife and let her in. As soon as the door closed, Joan revealed herself as a Fury and attacked Isolde. Isolde had nothing to defend herself with and no combat training so she was killed at age fifteen. Thomas witnessed the whole thing but due to his mental state he thought of it as a daily event.

Since then, Isolde has stayed in the mortal world as a ghost and was searching for the “god camp” Thomas spoke of. She recently came across a centaur taking a demigod to camp. Remembering Thomas’ description of a “hoofed man”, she followed him to Camp Half-Blood where everything was explained.
