Personality:Me, myself and I, that's what describes the great Janelle Marquez (in my mind that is), or otherwise me. I admit, I'm selfish, very selfish. But I'm nice and sweet most of the time. I don't call myself pretty but every person says I am. I'm a tomboy, enjoying sports more than girly stuff but most pepole don't notcie that. My favorite color is pink, I know, I'm a tomboy and I love pink. I love gardening and stuff like that. My Dad says I got that from my Mother. I enjoy most sports but my favorite is swimming. I love being in the water, it's like my habitat aside from the garden. I'm really interested about my Mom but Dad won't tell me anything about her. I don't really read a lot, except for books about gardening and stuff. I love to cook and I'm pretty good at it.
History:
Michael Marquez worked as a cook in a fancy restaurant in Salem, Massachusetts. He was middle class and was building himself a good life, he had a girlfriend, Shanna Dimples and had a good job. His life changed when Demeter walked into the restaurant. Michael saw Demeter and immediately fell in love with her, but Demeter not so much. Demeter, under the name of Rachel Green kept coming back to the restaurant, which made Michael pursue her. He became obbsesed with her and one day, Demeter, eventually tired of Michael agreed on a date. That night, they decided to do it, they made love. After that, Demeter wrote Michael a letter that she was not Rachel Green, but Demeter, a Greek Goddess before she disappeared. Michael became depressed when Demeter left and he believed everything in the letter.
Nine months later, on June 12, 1998, a baby basket appeared on Michael's and Shanna's doorstep. Shanna looked into it and saw a baby, which was Demeter and Michael's child. Shanna was mad at Michael but forgave him. Since Michael didn't want anything to do with Demeter's baby (He was still depressed about it), Shanna decided to take care of her. She found a letter inside:
Dear Michael,
This is our daughter, Janelle. Take care of her. When she turns twelve, monsters will attack her. Someone shall take her to Camp Half Blood. Enclosed in this letter is a pendant that can transform into a sword.
Demeter
Shanna thought that it was a joke but Michael made her believe it. Since Shanna thought that Michael was not fit to take care of Janelle, she decided to be something like a surrogate mother.
Janelle had a hard time learning how to read when she was three, Shanna was quite worried about this and took her to a specialist who diagnosed her with dyslexia.Janelle managed to cope with her disorder and soon learned how to read better. She had a large interest in gardening and plants. Since Shanna had a flower shop, she always took Janelle there.
Michael Marquez was still depressed about Demeter and never cared for Janelle.It was always Shanna who took care of her. Soon, Michael turned to drugs and became quite violent, which prompted Shanna and Janelle to leave the house when she was seven years old. Shanna and Janelle had a fairly normal life. Shanna earned enough money to support both of them and soon Janelle started grade school at Salem Public School. She had average grades, ranging from Ds to a few Bs. Her favorite subject was Home Economics were she excelled greatly. She was good in swimming and won a gold medal, beating the rest of the swimmers representing their schools in Salem, for her school when she was ten years old and was featured in the newspaper.
Janelle had her first monster attack when she was twelve years old, she was walking home from school when a hellhound attacked her, but she thought that it was just a big dog. She ran from it and when she reached her house, she heard a pitiful wail and the sound of triumphant laugh. She turned and saw someone run and the dog, gone. She was scared out of her mind but she didn't tell Shanna fearing that she might thought that she was mad. She shrugged of the incident and continued on with her life.
The following year, Janelle was at the park walking her dog, Bessie. The park was strangely deserted and she was deciding to go home when a large flock of birds with large claws flew towards her. She ran from then and lost them, somehow. She didn't tell Shanna about this one either. But her last monster attack, when she was fourteen, was with Shanna.Again, she was attacked by a hellhound but another half blood was in the area and she defeated the hellhound. The half blood told them about Camp Half Blood and Shanna remembred what was in the letter years ago.She allowed Janelle to go and she and the half blood went to Camp. They had no trouble getting to Camp except for some Stymphalian Birds, luckily, they were close to a CD Shop and took some of the music which they used to ward off the Birds.
Now, Janelle has arrived at camp waits to be claimed by her mother..

They got to camp by half taking the bus and half walking
