Personality (at least a sentence or two): Zero, to put it short, is the most insecure diva you will ever find. As a former member of the Korean boy group "LV", he knows how to strut down a runway, sing like an angel, act like an angel, and resonate an air of grace and poise. He is a perfect combination of sassy and sarcastic, sweet and sour, and a dash of charming who may appear confident but holds many insecurities inside.

Having been faced with criticism every moment of his life, he's constantly afraid of others' opinions and strives to please everyone. He acts confident to hide his insecurity, acts sassy to hide his pain, and fakes his anger to hide his sadness. Convinced he will always be alone he doesn't make an effort to put himself out there and would rather hide in the shadows. The analogy "fake it, till you make it" is his life, and that's what he's come to believe is the only thing he's good at. He often overlooks his eye for fashion, naturally—often called angelic—good voice, amazing agility, and his handiness and resourcefulness with anything.

While optimistic on the outside, he's quite pessimistic about himself and will never believe he's putting in enough effort or that he's good enough. On the other hand, he's willing to see the good in anyone and will give anyone a chance to prove they're worth the help. He wields a kind of resourcefulness that is maybe on par with his father Hephaestus. He can make anything out of nothing, light out of darkness, and hope out of evil. While unable to the see the uniqueness in him, he can see it in others and tailors his words to help them realize it. He is not exactly closed off but detests pity. There's a difference between pity and sympathy and sometimes people forget and cross the line, and he'd rather not risk it so he doesn't really share his past at all. Overall this insecure diva will do anything for others but is unwilling to see the worth in himself.

History (more than a paragraph): Ahn Chunwha was an adventurous woman who hadn't quite come to terms with responsibility yet. She had a habit of partying till dawn and sleeping with as many people, no matter the gender, she could run into. One night, while intoxicated, she seduced a man who worked at the local repair shop to come home with her one night, and the events that partook that night shall be kept secret.

It took her a month to realize she was pregnant, and when she did, the reaction was not good. Once her parents had convinced her out of getting an abortion, they agreed to put the child up for adoption once it was born, but her parents further banned her from going anywhere after the streetlights went on and had her on a strict diet until the child was born.

On a quite dreadful February 14th, Ahn Byungcheol was born and was abandoned at the hospital. Nurses had pleaded with Chunwha to stay with the child, but Chunwha refused and left the hospital the day after that. Byungcheol was left by himself to live life.

He is often reminded of the fact his mother abandoned him and his father was nowhere to be found. It was impossible to ignore, for it stared him in the face every day at the orphanage. Since he was a child, all he could remember was the orphanage life. He lived most of his childhood in a small brick building wedged between skyscrapers in Daegu, South Korea. He went to a school not too far away, where he sat alone between classes and breaks and at lunch. Lucky for him, public primary and junior high schools were free.

In general, he felt miserable by himself.

His hair grew quickly, something he had come to learn, and he had to cut it every month and a half to keep it from surpassing school limits. His eyes, unlike the common Brown, were a shade of earthy looking green. A remanent of his father he supposed. It reminded him he had been abandoned every time he looked in the mirror. It was a lot for a ten-year-old to take, and habits which later developed in disorders began to take form.

First, it was the obsession of everything orderly. Everything must be in the same place it was before. It must be flawless and not a single thing should be out of place. A distraction from the reminder that he was friendless. Then it was the forgetfulness. He faked forgetting the obvious, and eventually faked himself into actually forgetting the obvious.

The monster attack wasn't helping matters.

While walking home from school, a pair of hellhounds decided to poke fun at him. He had run into them one street and suddenly they were chasing him down countless others. Just when he began to doubt his existence's worth, he was reminded he wanted to actually live life as he ran, and he promised that if he lived he'd make the most out of life no matter what. He lost them after an hour of tireless running, although he had no idea another demigod by the name of Seokjin had already killed them for him.

In fact, the older was waiting around a corner for Byungcheol with a grin. Byungcheol wanted to pass, but Seokjin would not let him. The twelve-year-old boy led—or rather forced—Byungcheol to follow him into a diner where his father waited. On the way, Seokjin explained who he was and what they both were: Demigods.

While fascinated with the idea of wielding inhuman abilities, Byungcheol was also scared for his life. If being a demigod meant more monster attacks, he wasn't sure if he would even live till he was twenty. Seokjin reassured the younger that he would protect him, however, a spark flickered between them that later helped Byungcheol determine his sexuality.

So the two became friends. Seokjin was able to quickly fish out of Byungcheol, that he was an orphan, and Seokjin offered to let the boy seek refuge in his house, to which he agreed. It was secret, and it was risky. Byungcheol would leave in the early morning for Seokjin's house where he would stay until it was time to go to school. Then he would return there again and stay until nine pm, that's when Seokjin would escort him home. The owner and orphanage caretaker was a lazy old man who barely paid attention to the kids he felt could take care of themselves, Byungcheol being one of those children, so it was left difficult than expected to pull it off.

This continued for a year, mixed with monster attacks and schoolwork. Throughout this time, Seokjin had gotten ever to closer to Byungcheol and liked giving him nicknames. Byungcheol had gotten used to the ever familiar sound of Seokjin calling "Cheolie~" across the courtyard as he ran towards him. The two attended the same school, and while Byungcheol was two years below him, Seokjin found ways to talk to him during break times.

One day, while Byungcheol was at Seokjin's house and they had been staying up, Seokjin suggested that Byungcheol audition to be a trainee at SKY Entertainment. He knew how well Byungcheol could sing, he'd heard the other in the shower and wasn't ashamed to watch him. Byungcheol was generally taken aback but complied to please his one and only friend, afraid the other would abandon him if he didn't.

Seokjin wanted something to seal the deal, so he crawled away from his laptop, cornering Byungcheol on the edge of his bed and kissed him. Byungcheol had been aware for a couple months his friend was gay and had no issue with it, but he himself didn't know his sexual orientation so he was beyond stunned that he found himself kissing back. They shared a sweet moment of bliss before Seokjin pulled back and stared at him with loving eyes.

It was then he uttered the words, "I love you Cheol."

It went on a for a while, the incidents that Byungcheol deemed 'accidents' although he knew he loved them in his head. He counted the days, it had been another year of schoolwork, monster attacks, and Seokjin. He had been questioning himself for awhile now. He'd always liked girls, but he wouldn't deny the thing between him and Seokjin definitely riddled out the possibility that he was straight.

He contemplated this one night while sneaking to Seokjin's house. On the way, he came in contact with a group of harpies that attempted to turn him into bird food, but they didn't know Seokjin was nearby. The boy had promised to protect his beloved, and he did it effortlessly. He wanted nothing to hurt his precious Byungcheol. He killed all of the harpies without a second thought, but came out with cuts and bruises he refused to worry about and rushed over to Byungcheol, who's ankle was injured because of the harpies' attacks.

Seokjin lifted Byungcheol's arm and rested it on his shoulder so they could stumble walk back to his house, where he bandaged Byungcheol's ankle and changed his clothes. He laid a soft kiss on the other's lips as he tucked him into bed and watched him fall asleep.

The audition was nerve-wracking but the memories of Seokjin hacking away at the bird creatures stayed fresh in Byungcheol's mind. He had seen how angry the other could be, and he didn't want to be at the wrong end of Seokjin's sword. The memory pushed him forward to do his best, afraid something bad could happen if he didn't. A month later he received results, or rather Seokjin did and he told the younger the news.

Byungcheol was surprised he had gotten in, but there was much work to do now. There was always a chance they could kick him out before he debuted in a group. Seokjin suggested they would celebrate by Seokjin bringing a couple of his other friends over for a small party. He agreed, although scared of the possibilities.

Seokjin had invited a few boys and girls in his friend group at school to his house that afternoon to enjoy pizza, pop, and video games till eight. His friends quickly noticed how close Seokjin and Byungcheol seemed to be, and for the rest of the night teased Seokjin about it, keeping his face red. When the others left and Seokjin realized the two had an hour together by themselves before Byungcheol had to leave, he decided to make a move.

But he couldn't bring himself to do it. He was too scared.

Byungcheol was going to slip away from him.

Training at SKY Entertainment was hard to manage between schoolwork, and the monster attacks were beginning to become more frequent. There just wasn't time for Seokjin, but the other understood—That's why he bought a phone for the younger.

Seokjin instructed Byungcheol to give him updates on the training and other stuff through the phone since he had already put himself in the younger's contacts. Luckily the company Byungcheol was working with allowed trainees to have phones but monitored most to all of their social media if they did have one. Byungcheol had none so it wasn't an issue. Seokjin also gave Byungcheol his celestial bronze shurikens and taught him how to throw one in case the need to defend himself from monsters ever came up and Seokjin wasn't around.

Byungcheol happily thanked his friend, and this time, he was the one to plant a kiss on the other's lips. Seokjin loved seeing Byungcheol happy, happy Byungcheol meant happy him, and happy Byungcheol is all he would ever ask for. For the rest of the night, they talked in between wet, sloppy kisses and tickling each other to death.

Another year passed quickly, and through cell phones, the two were able to stay close. Byungcheol had quickly found an actual need for the throwing stars Seokjin had given him, since the monsters tended to frequent more, disguising themselves as things he would never suspect. He slowly became suspicious of everything. Training was getting more difficult and taking up more and more of his time, and studying replaced sleep or daily meals.

They mostly worked on his stamina, since he could already high notes like nobody's business and he was a fast learner when it came to dancing routines. He featured in a few music videos as a backup dancer to which he had been ecstatic about, and the company had finally announced that he was to be part of a new group called LV.

Around this time, Byungcheol had also become friends with a fellow trainee name Kyuhah. The boy was training for a separate group named Wake Up who was scheduled to debut in a couple of weeks. The boy was older than him by three years but was the maknae of the group and the shortest. The two got along well, and whenever the two weren't off practicing routines and other sorts with their assigned debut groups, they were tagging alongside each other talking together.

When Seokjin got wind of this news, he wasn't happy, afraid he would he replaced but didn't show it in front of Byungcheol who was oblivious. Seokjin asked if Byungcheol could spend some time with him before he was set to debut. He knew Byungcheol wouldn't get as much time to talk with him once he debuted, so he had to get as much time as he could now.

Byungcheol sacrificed whatever time he had left to hang out with Seokjin or text him, as the deadline loomed ever so closely. He needed to tell Seokjin something before he debuted and had to leave Daegu for good, so he snuck out on the night before Valentine's Day.

But there, Seokjin dreadfully announced that he was moving to the USA to go to a place he called "Camp Half-Blood" that was apparently a safe hold for demigods. Byungcheol choked on the words he had practiced to himself so many times in the mirror and simply cried. His best friend, his first friend, his first love wasn't going to be here to support his debut. After everything they'd been through, he was to be swept completely out of his grasp never to be seen again.

"I love you Seokjin."

"I love you too Byungcheol."

They spent Valentine's Day wrapped in each other's limbs, kissing each other as they enjoyed their last day of bliss.

The days after that Byungcheol worked as hard as could, trying to please everyone he came across, faking perfection. The blood, sweat, and tears he put into his training were all for Seokjin. Even if he was going to be on the other side of the world, he wanted to make him proud.

Meanwhile, Kyuhah had started showing that he had other interests than simply being friends with Byungcheol. Before he had even realized it, Kyuhah had him wrapped around his finger and was playing with the younger like a toy. Since Wake Up's debut, Kyuhah had been filling Byungcheol's head with so much praise and adoration that he had found no reason to be suspicious of him.

Kyuhah was able to make him forget about his past so effortlessly, he could erase any traces of thoughts about Seokjin and replace them with the thoughts of him. He was wrapped in a dream he never wanted to leave. It was neverending and he failed to realize it was a prison used to manipulate him into believing whatever Kyuhah said. When he failed to realize it, the monsters felt like lending a helping hand.

One day in the middle of practice, a Scythian Dracnae disguised as a random female trainee showed up. The trainee was absolutely beautiful and drew Byungcheol's attention away from Kyuhah for once, which Kyuhah did not particularly like. He tried to lure Byungcheol back over to him, but the younger refused, shocking Kyuhah. Slowly, the elder got more forceful until Byungcheol finally snapped and summoned a wall of fire to cut off the side of the room Kyuhah was in.

That's when the female trainee revealed herself to be a scaly she-demon with two tails. From the other side of the wall of fire Byungcheol created, Kyuhah suddenly began to cheer for Byungcheol, bringing him out of his state of paralysis from fear. With Kyuhah's guidance, he was able to lead the Scythian Dracnae into his wall of fire, burning it into golden dust. Byungcheol then collapsed from lack of energy, and the wall collapsed with him.

The practice room had been destroyed and was left a burnt mess. Kyuhah disregarded this and rushed over to the younger, realizing just how much the younger meant to him as he dragged him to a staff so they could call medical services.

When Byungcheol awoke the next day in a hospital bed, he found Kyuhah pacing beside his bed. He simply watched him for awhile before Kyuhah noticed Byungcheol was awake and rushed to his side. He fired a series of questions at him, many that happened to be different wordings of "Are you okay?". Byungcheol answered whatever he remembered Kyuhah had asked, then asked questions of his own.

He asked him why he was so possessive and manipulative, getting Byungcheol alone so that he could make no friends. Kyuhah explained that it had never been his intent, he was just jealous of all the other trainees who looked at him with an expression of admiration. It took him forever to choke it out, but he finally told Byungcheol that he liked him.

It took Byungcheol awhile to replicate these feelings. After being released from the hospital, he had been officially introduced to a group of four other boys who were to be his groupmates. He had seen all of them around before but had never talked to them. Their names were Jungchul, Jinwoo, Xander, and Nyle. Two of which were from the United States and Canada. Jungchul was to be the group's leader, and his stage name was S. Jinwoo was to be the lead rapper, and his stage name was Jin.

They were forced to spend a dramatic amount of time together before they debut, even though it was in three years. Byungcheol quickly befriended Jinwoo and Nyle, who seemed to be close as well. The trio was often seen together when Byungcheol wasn't around Kyuhah, who's schedule was getting busier as Wake Up's comeback loomed nearer.

Two years passed, the monsters getting more restless, and one year away from the debut. The company was explaining what type of group they wanted this to be, while they did want to feature a cute concept at some point during the boy's careers due to their young age, LV was ultimately going to have a reckless renegade vibe to it. The monsters started showing up during practice breaks when he was on the bus ride home, or the most painful place of all: passing by Seokjin's empty house.

He also had discovered his talent for creating things. When he had accidentally left his shurikens at home, he was able to create a boomerang out of leftover trash that distracted a harpy long enough so that he could get the rest of the way back to the orphanage to get his shurikens and kill it so it didn't harass some other poor soul. He tended to experiment more with this, taking leftover bits and pieces of things left around to make contraptions and such. For some reason, it helped him remain calm and less irritable after a day full of stress.

Months passed and teasers had been released for LV's debut. Byungcheol had been dubbed Main Vocalist and his stage name, Zero. A song had been made for them, and they worked nonstop on it to make it perfect. Zero had to drop out of school to combat with his busy schedule and the deadline getting ever so closer. Half of him was excited out of his mind, and the other half was extremely nervous.

Whether or not Byungcheol was going to debut in three months did not matter to the monsters that hunted him almost daily now. It was impossible to get away from them, and he was afraid he would in danger in his fellow group members. But it was too far in the game to turn back now, so Byungcheol went forward.

The debut was a success, and to Byungcheol's relief, no monsters ruined his first live stage. The song Stick Together hit the charts and rose fairly quickly, and Byungcheol awoke to a million messages from both Seokjin and Kyuhah to check the news. It was a story about LV, and three paragraphs had been dedicated to talking about him. The whole report itself talked about the debut concept, the style, etc. of the group and how well they did it, but once they got more in-depth with the members it went into appearance, dance ability, and predicting the members' futures. He got a particularly positive report that featured fans' feedback.

The next four years had their ups and downs as LV navigated the murky waters of media and business. Whether they were active or inactive, LV still happened to stay relevant, whether it was good or bad news about them. At one point their fanbase had stretched worldwide, and they had a few concerts in North America as well as a tour for their first official album. It got harder for Byungcheol to keep the monsters at bay. As he grew older they grew more restless and he decided that after the next comeback, he wouldn't renew his contract with SKY entertainment, and instead move to the U.S. to get to this "Camp Half-Blood" and see Seokjin again.

Funny enough, Kyuhah found his way to CHB as well and discovered he was a son of Aphrodite. He reminded Byungcheol every time they texted how interesting Camp was, and that he had to come.

On the sixteenth of May, Byungcheol's departure from LV was announced, and to the fans' dismay, he wasn't going to be going back to LV anytime soon. He did mention he may start a solo career later, but right now he had to leave the idol life for his own health issues. Since he had taken the liberty of most to all of his money in a savings account, he could pay for his airplane ride to the United States. When he reached the U.S. he took up the name Jaxson Ahn so he wouldn't have the trouble of others trying to pronounce his foreign name.

He took another flight to New York after he landed in Los Angeles and then Chicago. From there he took a taxi up to Montauk and found his way over to the entrance to Camp Half-Blood where his old love waited for him with a bundle of balloons, Kyuhah, and a giant grin. Seokjin and Kyuhah led him around, and Seokjin told him he was a son of Ares. The two also revealed (quite vaguely) that they were now dating (it took Byungcheol forever to figure out), but Byungcheol was happy for them and wished his old loves an everlasting relationship. Since then he's been wondering around for a couple hours.

Weapon(s) (optional): Celestial bronze shurikens given to him by Seokjin

Ayo there!

  • About the orphanage:
    • Did they pay Byungcheol's schooling?
      • Fixed
    • Didn't they watch over the kid? You stated that he goes off some days til late (going to Seokjin and all); don't they notice that?
      • Fixed
    • How was he after passing the auditions and started training? Where did he start living? (Sure enough that the entertainment company fixed his papers from the orphanage.)
      • What do you mean? He's still living at the orphanage. And I'm pretty sure I clearly stated how he felt during this training period.
  • Since they're two of them, Seokjin and Byungcheol, and they're powerful demigods, a few monsters simultaneously in a year wouldn't be enough, especially then that they knew about what they were. (Stating this, too, with Kyuhah.) If I missed this, maybe state how many, in average, monsters attack him in a year.
    • Where? I mention every time there is a year time skip or in between that, that he's been attacked by monsters and the amount of monsters increases
  • How long has he been in Camp since his arrival?
    • Rip, I have to do this every time? Fixed
  • Random question, but are his demigod friends characters here? (Maybe not xD)
    • Unfortunately, no rip. I'd suggest a collab (with you :3) but life is a bit hectic right now.

I don't know if I forgot anything else (I was too sleepy), but those are sure some.
