Personality:Very out going and kind, though tending to also enjoy solitude, he loves to swim and surf.
History:Jennie Orain was only about twenty-one, on a trip to Australia when the surfer, his hair dirty blond, enticed her. He was very kind but had the ferocity of a animal in his eyes. She grew to love the man spending a couple of nights with him, then all of a sudden he disappeared without a trace. She found out a month later that, she was pregnant with the run-away's child. Eight months after that, the baby was born healthy, with his dad's brownish-blond hair and his mom's crystal blue eyes.
As a young child, he excelled at swimming, mostly in the ocean waters around the home he grew up in. That was an island castle off the coast of New Zealand owned by his grandfather. As he grew older, he took up surfing which he soon became quite good at. Once he was around the age of fourteen, his grandfather decided to teach him the art of swordfighting with a claymore. As the lessons went on he got the hang of it growing muscle more and more daily, soon he was even able to best his grandfather at sparing.
On his fourteenth birthday he got an odd present; a bottle with a note and a shark-tooth neckless in it had drifted onto the shore of the island. The note simply stated "Dear son, you are coming of age and dangers will soon await you. Your only safe haven will be a camp for children like you, Camp Half-Blood. It is in the United States, Long Island to be exact." A map happened to be on the back of the note, upon reading this he instantly took it to his mom and grandfather, as he told them they glanced at each other as if it was a trick but soon he convinced them that he felt a need to do this, reading about the danger his grandfather gave him a claymore passed down through generations of his family and then they sent him on a Plane ride to the United Kingdom, and then a boat ride to long island.
As the boat was reaching the harbor, a song seemed to call to him so much so that it caused him to fall off the side of the ship. Then, before he knew it a siren was pulling him underwater knocking him against the boat. He had his claymore on him when he jumped off wrapped in cloth. He pulled it out and tried slashing at the creature. A small group of sharks watched as he fought. Soon the creature overpowered him and he was pinned against a rock formation and then the sharks went into motion, two biting at the creature suprising it as the other retrieved his sword and placed it on a rock. He scooped up the sword and swam up and along the coast of the harbor until he got to a beach and he rested there breathing hard for a bit. Soon he made his way to a bus station dropping him off as close to the maps destination as his cloths dried as he was dropped off he walked about 2 miles into the strange camp not sure what to make of it yet.

According to the books, Camp Half-Blood can be found in Long Island, New York, not in California. why did he go by ship instead of by plane?
