Index > Camp Claiming > Camp/Mei Blue

Name: Mei Blue

Choice for godly parent: Iris

Species: Demigod

Mortal parents: Dave Arewig and Maya Blue

Current age: Almost 14

Personality: Mei is very cheerful. She is an optimist and likes to turn even the darkest of situations into something good. This can annoy her family and mortal friends at times. She wouldn't be a very good leader because all though she is caring, she does not possess the skills to the wrongs of other people and the dangers of the world. She often becomes distracted and isn't able to focus on a single task for long.

History: Her birth father was in Chengdu, China when he met the goddess Iris. He stood out to her by the fact he studied color, focusing on reflections. Iris appeared to him on a walk home. They continued to meet each other for a year until Iris became pregnant with Mei. Mei's birth father never knew he had a daughter for Iris kept it a secret. A few days after Mei was born on April 17, 2003, Mei was left in an orphanage and her birth father never saw Iris again.

When she was eleven months old, Dave Arewig and Maya Blue, an American couple, adopted her from the orphanage and brought her to their home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She never showed any sign of ADHD throughout her life so far. As a child, she enjoyed playing with other children, including her younger sister Selena, adopted from Haiti, and her younger brother Henry, a boy adopted locally. She was especially close friends with a girl named Lizzie and later in life should learned Lizzie was the daughter of the muse of comedy, Thalia. The only peculiar thing that happened was faint rainbows appearing around her when she was happy.

When she was five, her siblings three and two, her family moved to San Francisco, so her dad could teach English at the middle school while her mother taught at a preschool. She befriended Kelsey and Mary, two Greek demigods although she didn't know it at the time. It was around the time her family moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts that Mei began to be plagued by nightmares. She began seeing things she thought were unnatural. She saw serpents and winged beasts.

After living in Cambridge for sixth and seventh grade, she began seeking for support to deal with her fears. She met two twins, Caroline and Naomi, and a girl, Penelope, who also suffered from similar things. They befriended each other and one day during the summer between seventh and eighth grade, they were attacked by a dracaena. A satyr helped the four of them escape to Camp Half-Blood. Since then, Mei, Caroline, and Naomi visit regularly to train while Penelope, a daughter of Ares, stays year round. Mei has been attending Camp Half-Blood for a year now. She is now in ninth grade.

Hello, I'm Frost, a camp helper and I'm also looking over your claim today~ First things first...

  • On this wiki, we don't exactly refer to Romans... Even though they were mentioned in the Heroes of Olympus, so, please change this.
  • Cyclopses, according to this page, are a Medium monster. Usually, those are used for Big Three claims, so please change that.
  • How long has Mei been at camp? For metagaming purposes, we only allow campers to stay at camp for up to two weeks.
  • For your signature, it's four tildes to produce your username combined with a timestamp.

And that's all I've seen so far~ Edit those that I've pointed out, then either myself, or anyone else on the claiming department will come in and look it over again~. If you haveany questions, feel free to ask anyone on the admin team! Template:Frostleaf1615/Admin

Thank you so much for replying so quickly. Will get to fixing soon. Thanks again! :)
