Name:Michael Greyson

Gender:Male

God Parent:Zeus, Hades, or Ares

Mortal Parent:Aoife Greyson

Appearance:Tall and skinny with shaggy brown hair and brown eyes. He has a gash across his left cheek from a harpy attack.

Look-alike

Michael Greyson

Personality:Although Michael presents himself as a man of justice, he is really domineering and corrupt. A companion of his, once quoting a Buddhist patriarch, described him as "Always desiring to be superior to others, having no patience for inferiors and belittling strangers; like a hawk, flying above and looking down on others, and yet outwardly displaying justice, worship, religion, and faith."

History:

Michael's grandparents were Irish immigrants, but his mother, Aoife, was born in the U.S. His grandmother was able to see through the Mist but only her husband and daughter believed her.

Aoife was said to have dark hair and green eyes. Michael's grandmother, reminiscing, said that she had the most beautiful voice.

Aoife loved to explore the deep dark places in the earth. She was known to be fond of fishing and loved the rain, coming home wet and muddy as a child(something Michael inherited.) she came across Michael's father one day. She tried to improve herself to win his favor, but failed at trying to be formal and solemn. Nevertheless, the two fell deeply in love. Michael's grandmother sensed something otherworldly about him, but thought it was just her imagination and did not bring the matter up, not wanting to be a troublemaker.

Eventually, the god had to leave Aoife, who, not knowing he was a god, believed that he had left her after discovering her pregnancy. She died three days after her son's birth, so he was raised by his grandparents. Michael's father appeared and revealed his identity to Michael's grandparents, warning them about monsters and other dangers demigods face.

Michael spent the next thirteen years believing his father was a mortal man who abandoned him willingly and despised him. He grew a superiority complex to mask his grief and fear.

However, he was not originally so problematic. He was known to spend all his free time on the banks of a creek, waiting for a fish to swim by in the hopes of catching it. He would come home with a pocket full of worms, insects, spiders, snakes, and eggs(his grandparents didn't want to know where they came from.) but this put him at odds with the other children, who he would sometimes run up to show some weird insect or other specimen he caught.

On his thirteenth birthday, his grandparents revealed the truth. They told him about gods, monsters, and demigods. Confused and scared, he ran away, and hid in a park for several days. After begging his father to meet and talk to him face-to-face, he returned home.

After returning home, Michael was attacked by a cyclopes. The cyclopes, smelling a demigod in the area, had tracked him down. After a cat and mouse game of chase, the cyclopes landed into the house, which his grandparents were in. Michael fled the temporarily stunned cyclopes.

After several days on the street, a satyr found him, offering to take him to Camp Halfblood. Furious, Michael retorted he wanted nothing to do with the gods. However, he relented and was brought to Camp Halfblood.

On the way, they were attacked by a harpy, which mauled the left side of Michael's face, leaving a terrible gash. The satyr was killed just footsteps away from Camp Halfblood but Michael managed to escape it.

Weapons:Michael carries an enchanted sword which he named Luin. He came across it in the Camp's armory. The blade was badly damaged but was repaired by a child of Hephaestus. The blade was previously owned by a Celtic warrior, one of the ones who sacked Delphi. Michael chose the weapon because it was Celtic, feeling an affinity towards it's Celtic origins. The blade shines lightly in the dark.

How did he beg his father to meet and talk to him. If he was hiding in a park? Why was his grandmother able to see through the mist? {{User:Slayingthehalcyon/sig|14:53,12/7/2012}}

He prayed to him. His father is supposed to be a god on Olympus, so I assume he could hear his prayers even if he was hiding. On to the second question, I don't know. Why was Rachel Elizabeth Dare or Percy's mom able to? It's just something that rare mortals can do.    Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 15:33, December 7, 2012 (UTC)Cuchulainn's Spear

A child of the big three would attract monsters from age 9 and up. If you want Ares, then I could claim this right now. Well, if you don't, just add it to the history. Thanks.

Template:User:DaMigster/SigReal

I could change the history a bit. I just picture him as more of a child of Zeus or Hades(not because they're part of the Big Three, they're just my favorite gods.)plus, threatening retribution against the gods would pretty much get you struck down by lightning and I don't think the other gods would have any qualms against striking down a murderous son of Ares.

I didn't really understand what you meant by if I don't then just add it to the history.

This needs more history. How did his parents meet? What happened to his grandparents?Joker by NerdXV Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? -The Joker 06:57, December 9, 2012 (UTC)

It does? I worked like four days on it. Anyway, I can add more to how the parents met. The grandparents disappearing was supposed to be mysterious. I didn't want to say "Michael returned home to find it ransacked and his grandparents lying dead with their guts ripped out." Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 13:30, December 9, 2012 (UTC)

So can I get claimed? Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 03:21, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

No because you didn't change anythingJoker by NerdXV Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? -The Joker 04:22, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

Uh, actually yes, I did. I added how his parents met.Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 16:59, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

How did he find out he was a demigod and why does he have prejudice towards mortals? He's half mortal himself. "long and lost" ~~ Minx the Banshee

His grandparents told him. And what made you think he had prejudices towards mortals(well he does, but I only put that in the rough draft.) He believes mortals are superior to gods and demigods are superior to both. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 23:25, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

What happened to the grandparents?

"You are in every line I have ever read."   -Ruby

Most likely got eaten. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 19:10, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

What happened to his grandparents? Who destroyed their house?
Template:User:DaMigster/SigReal

About 13, he's supposed to be around 15 now. Like I said before, his grandparents most likely got eaten. I decided not to decide whether they died or not, I prefer it to be mysterious. So I myself "don't know" what happened to them. Onto who destroyed their house. Like before,"I don't know." come to your own conclusion,LOL. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 04:58, December 16, 2012 (UTC)

How did her grandmother know he was a god? Just because you can see through the mist doesn't mean you know of the gods immediately by appearance. They take different forms.

"long and lost" ~~ Minx the Banshee

Didn't really think about that one. Good point. I'll change that a bit.

Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 16:47, December 24, 2012 (UTC)

How would he despise him because he was a mortal if he hadn't even known there were other things out there that weren't mortal?

"long and lost" ~~ Minx the Banshee

Are you referring to his father? He despises him because he let his mother and grandparents die.(Waiting to find out who "he" is.) Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 13:52, December 27, 2012 (UTC)

How did her grandparents know of the gods? The ability to see through the mist doesn't guarantee all angles of the Greek world. You could see monsters and go crazy, but never hear a word of the gods' existence "long and lost" ~~ Minx the Banshee

I edited that. His grandmother sensed something "otherworldly" about him, but thought it was just her imagination. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 20:53, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

Again, why would he build a superiority complex against his father for being a mortal if he didn't know he was a demigod yet? How did his grandparents know about the gods? "long and lost" ~~ Minx the Banshee

You misread that bit. What I meant by "believing he was a mortal" was that he didn't know his dad was a god and had to leave him. He believed his father left him because he wanted to(hate to talk like my characters are real people, afraid it might make me look crazy.) Anyway, the paragraphs wouldn't separate. I had to use html to separate some of the paragraphs. Sorry if it was originally an eyesore for anybody. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 21:28, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

What happened to the grandparents and why?

"You are in every line I have ever read."   -Ruby

Does it really matter what happened to them? Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 06:04, December 31, 2012 (UTC)

For one, it kinda does matter, cuz see some people try to have monsters attack mortals when the demigod isn't even around and blame their deaths on them, which isn't realistic, monsters don't attack mortals unless they quite literally get in the way of getting to the demigod, if Michael wasn't home, the grandparents wouldn't have been attacked by monsters, so we aren't saying you need to go into great detail, just explain who actually did ransack the house and where the grandparents went. Also, as a child of the big 3, the odds he'd get to 13 are more slim, they are often attacked as early as 9, but usually at least by 11/12

Okay, thanks for explaining. I added in more details to his grandparent's death. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 03:08, January 4, 2013 (UTC)

A cyclopes would not attack the grandparents while he wasn't home, and it definitely wouldn't interrogate them

Are you still planning to work on this?

"You are in every line I have ever read."   -Ruby

Yeah, I put a bit of effort into this. I'm not wasting that. Cuchulainn's Spear (talk) 10:27, January 10, 2013 (UTC)
