Name: Parker Yeon
God Parent: Hermes
Mortal Parent: Danielle Yeon
Appearance: His model is Cho Seung-Youn
Personality: Parker is quiet, quieter than his brother Graysen and in a lot of cases it appears as if he's dependent on him (which he claims isn't the case but it's very obvious it is.) While to most he's isolated and disconnects them from him, to Graysen he's loud and generally quite sarcastic and loves nothing more than making the other laugh. When angry or sad, he goes to Graysen to see how he feels and will base his judgement off that somewhat - if not, he'll isolate himself further, even from Graysen, until the feeling subsides.
History:Danielle Yeon, born originally in Canada, had met her husband, Lewis Yeon, in his home country of England and quickly became infatuated and marrying him within two years of knowing him. Due to his job, a member of the British Army, the couple moved around a lot and lived in various places until the settled in Seychelles, Africa - specifically, the capital of Victoria.
Once settled, the two expressed a desire to have children and they repeatedly attempted to conceive, unaware of Lewis’ infertility. Fearing this, the couple went to the hospital to confirm this, leaving with a date that a letter of confirmation would be due. During this time, Danielle met Hermes. It was a simple meeting - at her work in an office, nothing too special but even she couldn’t deny that the god was certainly charming. He had made many advances on her and each time she declined but with each try the more she succumbed to his charm and soon enough she was left pregnant by Hermes. Now she had a problem. Fearing she was pregnant, a couple of days later she bought a pregnancy test and confirmed she was whilst simultaneously the letter appeared confirming of her husband’s infertility. As a lot of people would, she hid the letter and when her husband came home from work she told him the happy news that she was pregnant with their kids. Overjoyed, Lewis began to prepare a nursery whilst Danielle carried not only two children but the guilt of her actions. Nine months later she entered labour on New Year’s Eve. One son, Graysen Beck, was born in 1997 and the other, Parker Riley, born in 1998.
Hermes had met with Danielle a few months after the twins had been born and gave her the usual talk about what their children were and what this meant, etc, etc. Needless to say, Danielle was shocked and as soon as the god was out of sight she quickly did her best to remove the thought from her mind and convince herself that her children were normal.
Well, in all honesty, Graysen and Parker had a rather plain childhood or rephrase it to the childhood of mortals. Nobody gave them anything remotely close to training nor did Danielle think of the possibility of her children being attacked. For the majority of their childhood, the twins led a happy, serene life. Like all good things, this wasn’t to last and soon it all came crumbling around them. It started when Danielle took a trip to Canada to visit her family despite Lewis not wanting her too. This was followed in quick succession by him finding out about his infertility which ultimately made him connect the dots that the twins that were playing in the living room, weren’t his. Immediately, he began to neglect the twins, feeding them only when necessary and when Danielle returned, he began to get abusive and violent towards her.
As a result of there being two of them, the twins were attacked when they were 10. The monster, in the form of a harpy, swung at them during a day out with the family. Unlike in their neighbourhood, many satyrs and other demigods were at the destination who defended the two of them from the monsters. Despite this, the twins complained to their parents about what they saw - each deeming them to be daydreams and that the twins were just being silly. In a couple of years time, one of Danielle and Lewis’ arguments got intense, more intense than any other had been and it resulted in Lewis trying to abuse Danielle horrifically with a lit cigarette. While she was able to defend herself, Danielle knocked it behind some furniture and before long the house was up in flames and within a few hours there would be nothing salvageable. While Lewis perished in the flames, Danielle was in hospital with severe burns after saving the twins who had since been sent to a foster home in Victoria.
At the foster home, Graysen and Parker were joined at the hip - they did everything together, bar going to the toilet and stuff like that. They even slept in the same bed together with Graysen protectively holding Parker. They had since become schooled at the home with neither wanting to go back to public school and even then the two did their work together. Creepily enough, they developed the same handwriting despite one being right handed and the other left. Although it was foreign and strange, the two were happy at the foster home but, as like all happiness in their lives apparently, it would soon end with another monster attack. This one, in the form of a hellhound happened when the twins were among the only ones in the house. The monster chased them around the grounds, destroying many things in it’s course. It wasn’t until an older kid, a son of Zeus, was able to strike down the beast and protect the two.
While the older kid tried to intervene, ultimately Grayson and Parker were blamed, despite being 13, and both were sent to different foster homes. Graysen went to another in Victoria whilst Parker went to one in London, England which separated the twins massively and not even five minutes apart did they begin to miss each other.
Following the advice of the son of Zeus, the two began to train with the small celestial bronze swords he had given them. Of course they weren’t experts but they began to know enough to kill things eventually. The two remained separated, fighting monster attacks in their respective countries, until they were 16 in which Graysen saved enough money for a single plane ticket to the United Kingdom and without a second thought about his life in Seychelles, he left in hopes to find Parker. At first, he believed it would’ve been a lot easier than it turned out to be - unlike in Seychelles where they were among the only Asians, let alone Koreans, there were many of the two in London and he found himself giving up to some extent. He tried many foster homes, each with no avail until he tried the final one - one in the heart of London. Asking for a Parker Yeon, he was met with the response that there was one there and before long the two were in a tight hug that neither wanted to end. While only separated for three years, the two had changed significantly - while Graysen was fluent in French and English, still with his Seychelles accent and a light tan to his skin, Parker was extremely fluent in English and had decent fluency in Spanish, German and Korean. Just hugging Parker made Graysen know he wanted to be with him again and eventually the two placed interest in getting a flat together. Under British law, 16 and 17 year olds could own flats if they had the consent of their parents. While Lewis was dead, Danielle had since gone into a care home and when the news about Graysen and Parker needing her consent to do so, she agreed with no hesitations and wouldn’t budge about it.
Now together in a flat, the two lived there for a year until they heard about Camp after facing multiple hellhounds together. Seeing it as a way to be together safely, the two saved up all their money - inheritance from Danielle and from working multiple jobs - and were able to buy two tickets to New York and eventually into Camp.
