Name: Sean del Sol
God Parent: Aglaea (first choice), Apollo (second choice), Aphrodite (third choice)
Mortal Parent: Eugene del Sol (if Aglaea or Aphrodite), Jill del Sol (if Apollo)
Appearance: Sean is about 5'9" feet tall with bright blue eyes and sandy blonde hair. He has a slim, athletic build along the lines of someone who does a lot of running, swimming, or cycling. He is almost always calm and smiling, creating a very inviting look that sets others at ease.
Personality: Sean is very laid back and cheerful. His aura of calm puts just about everyone at ease. He is a good listener and often helps his friends feel better when life gets them down. He loves to be out in the sunshine and can often be found singing random songs when really enjoying himself. He has a good voice, which helps make up for his mediocre ability with writing good lyrics.
History: Sean was born in a small Arizona town bordering a series of medium sized canyons and other rock formations. The town was always hopping with a large stream of outdoor enthusiants, ready to take on the various hiking, biking, and rock climbing tours that the town had to offer. He got the chance to meet many different people from all backgrounds and the combined effect gave him a very positive outlook on life.
The only thing missing was one of his parents. He was certainly not unhappy with the mom/dad that he had. He just sometimes daydreamed about how much better things might be if his missing mom/dad was present too. He stopped asking what happened though, since bringing up that question usually brought a sad smile and not much more.
((This part unknown to Sean)) His parents met when his mortal mom/dad was fresh oout of college and working as a tour guide, trying to raise money to start his/her own tour company. A brilliant smile, effortless grace, and almost unbearably bubbly personality caught the attention of a god/goddess who came down and posed as tourist looking for adventure. A wild day in the outdoors followed by a wild night at the hotel was where he came from. His godly parent left soon after and left his mortal parent to raise him alone due to Olympian laws limiting any contact or gifts. (End section of what Sean doesn't know)).
He certainly never thought that he might be anything more than a normal kid until his run in with the snake lady, right around his 13th birthday. He was out for a jog along one of his more remote trails, dreaming of someday being able to come out here on a quad or a dunebuggy, when he saw a large reptillian head poking out from one of the bushes. He assumed it was just a big Gila monster or maybe one of the similar beaded lizards. Poisonous, but easy enough to avoid. He gave it a bit of room and just tried to jog around. When the creature actually leaped out at him, he was shocked to see it was something beyond anything he had ever dreamed about. Part reptile, part woman, and part siamese twin snake tails. His mind had trouble grasping everything he was seeing except for the glint of the blades in its hands. That he understood perfectly and he started to run.
The creature was quick and gained ground on him in the open. But Sean knew all of the rocks and crevices around this area better than anyone and by constantly moving thorugh different terrain, he was able to maintain at least a slight lead. Eventually he zipped around a bend and managed to take a quick breather as the creature lost sight of him. He knew he didn't have much time before it found the trail again, so he checked what he had at hand. A few quarters in his pocket, some chunks of mica on the ground, the sun overhead, and the clothes on his back. Not much to work with, but he came up with a plan.
He quietly tossed out the quarters to lay a false trail towards a nearby drop-off. He then tossed some of the shiny mica laced rocks right to the edge of the drop. The noise and brief flash of light from sun hitting the rocks drew the creatures attention. As it had it's back tunred to look out over the edge of the drop, Sean rushed forward and used his weight to push the thing over the edge.
The creature was heavier than he figured though and it dind't go over nearly as fast as he would have liked. It found plenty of time to twist around, drop one of its blades, and grab him by the shirt as it went down. Sean was stunned as he was pulled to the ground. The creature was using him as an anchor to keep from falling and was starting to climb it's way back up. Some unknown instinct triggered in Sean, causing him to grab the dropped blade and hack at the creatures arms. He scored two good blows and the creature fell to its death. At least, he assumed it was dead, but the lack of a body left him wondering if it was all just heat stroke setting in. The blade in his hand said otherwise though and so did the timid looking satyr who stepped out into the open and started him on his journey to a far away camp.
Weapons: Tends to prefer short swords and daggers for their flash and potential for graceful movements in a fight.
How did his parents meet? How was his childhood?
His childhood was pretty happy for the most part, which I thought I had mentioned above. His parents met when his mortal parent was an overly-bubbly tour guide who's bright personality caught the attention of a god/goddess. I didn't mention that part above since he does not know about it. I had planned to reveal more about it later on. Falling from heaven is not as painful as surviving the impact 22:53, August 2, 2012 (UTC)
Can you put how they met into the history? How old was he when he was attacked? I think all's well after that.
It's good, but making it to sixteen without a monster attack is unlikely
