1. Led by Chris Swords

2.Chris is the son of Poseidon

3.

The following message took place during a dream:

Dear Chris Swords,

Hey, Son. I realize it's not been a long time since you arrived at camp, and you're time previous to it was...well, strenuous. However, I need you're abilities if we are to combat the coming threat. See, our old friend Oceanus, the sea titan, has been stirring up trouble again. He's called on an old ability as the lord of the ocean to create a new kind of monster. He molded the beast out of pure fear, and don't ask me how, I'm not an expert on such things. But one way or another, the beast that can walk on both land and sea, and change its shape to become the one it faces' greatest weakness. With an ability such as this, this nameless demon has the ability to challenge even gods! It becomes the fear of the one it fights you see. Well, for now it can't go outside a radius of five miles from the island it was born upon, or it will die (sometimes strange side-effects like that occur when one dabbles with the creation of life). Sadly, I don't know where that is! What I need you to do is this: gather some allies, and go after this creature. Its strength will mirror yours, and hopefully, it will be confused by your half-god, half-mortal mind structure. Also, since it was made by Oceanus, it should be weaker on land. Try and draw it to shore! What I hope you will do is get him where he is weak, and then while he is in the form of one of your weaknesses, the others can defeat it. Seek out Triton for its location. He usually hangs out in the Carribean, but whenever I try and send a message, some strange force blocks it. That should be you're first stop. Oh, and watch out for traps from Oceanus along the way! He'd hate his project to be ruined...And remember, You never know when Oceanus might break the power that binds it in place!

-Poseidon

4. Chris must get together a group of allies and go forth to seek the location of the sea-monster from his father's dream. Triton knows this location, and the small company must travel to him. After talking with Triton, and they learn of the spot it lays, they will go there and seek to defeat it before Oceanus can break its link with the island it is confined to.

5. Chris and his friends will most likely run into monsters related to the ocean due to Oceanus' desire for them to fail. They will be assaulted on the way to the Caribbean by a Sea Serpent. Triton will give them a quest to prove their worth by retrieving a weapon of his from an underwater cave (there is air, but you must swim to get there. Inside they'll be attacked by a guardian, which will be a son of Gaea, one of the lesser giants.. They  will be attacked by some hellhounds at one occasion during the travels, and dracenae on another, and upon reaching the island, they'll have to defeat a beats that morphs into their weaknesses, along with some varied warriors of Oceanus (Ex: Evil Sea Nymphs, Automatons.)

6. Also, Triton knows the location of the island, but he can't escape the Caribbean because he is pinned down by Oceanus' power. Oceanus' minions have almost freed the beast, and once they do, he will be able to create an army of them to attack Olympus.

7. CHB to Flrodia, where they will have to get a ship to take them to the Caribbean (Chris will use the water to help its speed). After receiving what they want to know in the Caribbean, they will have to travel to the island (which is very large) and find their way through it to the monster's lair.

8. 2 besides leader.

Notes[]

If the monster will potentially be a threat to the gods, how does its strength just match Chris's? And how does Oceanus plan to create such monster?

"You are in every line I have ever read."   -Ruby (UTC)

The monster matches its opponents strength, meaning it rises and falls in power based on who its fighting. Poseidon states this twice in the dream. I also fixed the dream to say that Oceanus called on his ability as an old lord of the ocean to create a sea-monster, and then molded it out of pure shadow.

I'm not sure if gods can just create monsters like that, and the powers it has seem a bit too much.

Well, in myth, Echidna, Phorcys, Keto, and others are all recorded in making monsters. Also, Oceanus is a titan, one of the originals who created many things. Also, if you think about it, this monster is nothing next to some other monsters in myth. For example: Typhon. And yes, Typhon actually was considered a monster.

Could you enumerate exactly what monsters will attack them? Also, just curious but how do they plan to defeat the monster if it can match up to the strength of the opponent it faces?

Take your time. I've got forever to wait -Demi ღ

Their hope is that it will be confused by their half-god nature, however upon actually fighting the beasts, they will realize it can only be one weakness at once. So while it is, say, Chris' weakness, the other members have to harm it.

About the evenly matching it's opponents thing, could you tweak that so it just appears as whatever is frightening to the fighter or something? I still think the current ability is a bit too much. And Bach and I have discussed, and s Oceanus is an ocean god, the monster should be more water-based, and not created out of "pure fear"

Ok I did it, I still said it would mirror their ability, but Ichanged it to say it would be their fear. Also I said it could walk on land, but would be weaker there. Good?

I still think this creature is much too powerful. Even if they have the ability to lure it onto land and weaken it, there's no way that Poseidon would send an unproven son after it.

Ok I explained how they can beat it. Bane "I am the Bane of your existence.  When this wiki is in ashes, you have my permission to die.Bane2

What is the so-called "force" stopping the messages? Even with the force, couldn't Poseidon just go to Triton? >.<
