Water Arena

Arenas agua2
  • Both very deep and shallow water areas, ranging from 20 feet deep to a few inches
  • A tunnel deep down goes out to the ocean where other creatures could be called in
  • There's plenty of dry areas as well for users not Palaemon or Poseidon kids, that are covered with anything ranging from sand to grass to some small vegetation/shrubs
  • There are some trees around the sides of the arena and below the cliffs (not shown in picture) that can be used for cover and provides plenty of places for shadows
  • There are also cliffs around parts of the Arena, ranging in height, with both water and land below them, the cliffs also cast shadows on the arena below
  • The arena is open to the sky and elements
  • On each end of the arena, on top of some large pillars, are pyres, full of fire and wood. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out.

"Strength can only come with weakness."

Appearing from the shadows, his expression is grim and cold. He wears a pitch black cloak, keeping his newly attached mechanical arm hidden from sight. Other than his usual light weight chest plate and his arm of course, he wears no armor. His mechanical arm has a steel claw attached to it, while he holds a kama in the other. He keeps silent, and waits for his opponent.

"We all have demons begging to be unleashed."
Wearing the same outfit from his previous match, he seems very considerate of his dark themed attire. In his hands are his twin fu taos, waiting for a next opponent to subdue. First of all, he takes time to scan the area by foot. He soon looks above to find a cliff which he shadow travel onto. An image of a forest immediately came to his sight. Walking further in the path, he notices a barren circle, probably burnt during a forest fire, with a figure. From a distance, he finds the figure's back and stops, guessing it must be his opponent. He decides it would be best for him to check out the west side to enhance his options and knowledge before greeting Sasha. He goes around the forest to reach the other side. After some time, he ends up where the fire pyres are placed. Being sure now the path behind Sasha is a cliff plunging down to the waters and right in front of him will be the fire pyres. He slowly towards the barren circle to see his opponent's face.

Character's Powers

Powers of a son of Hades:

Offensive

  1. Children of Hades can create one weapon out of diamond at a time or enhance an existing weapon of their own or an allies with a diamond coating that makes them unbreakable and stronger. After a short time, the diamond weapon/coating becomes weak and brittle.
  2. Children of Hades can create very small fissure in the ground which spew small amounts of hellfire for a few moments before closing. The hellfire is more powerful than normal fire, but it’s likely to harm the user, so this power must be used carefully.

Defensive

  1. Children of Hades have the ability to create a dome of hardened soil and diamonds, roughly two or three times the size of the user, which can be used to block attacks for a very short time.
  2. Children of Hades can conjure a set of very durable bone armor around themselves which grants enhanced protection against physical attacks. The longer the armor is maintained, the more energy is drained. After which, the armor grows weak, brittle and falls off the user’s body.

Passive

  1. Children of Hades are able to communicate with and command the dead, able to sense spirits or other undead beings. .
  2. Children of Hades can sense when a mortal, half-blood, nymph/spirit that they know has died through a "buzzing" in their ears.

Supplementary

  1. Children of Hades have the ability to Shadow Travel, to teleport from shadow to shadow; the further the distance, the more energy drained.
  2. Children of Hades have a heightened control over undead and can usurp dominance from others who control undead who aren’t also children of Hades.
  3. Children of Hades can telekinetically move dead matter.
  4. Children of Hades can bend shadows around them, concealing them for a short time.

3 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Hades are able to summon skeletal/zombie humanoids/animals to do their bidding, the more animals summoned and the bigger they are, the more energy is drained. Any armor/weaponry the undead possess increases the strain of the summoning. The undead can then be controlled by the mind of their summoner; the longer they are summoned, the more the summoner is drained of their energy.

6 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Hades can use their energy to enhance their undead minions causing them to be more limber and be able to endure more attacks, essentially, undead meat-shields. The user can fight beside the constructs, but not at full force.

9 Months After Character is Made

  1. Children of Hades are able to use many recent deaths to empower themselves for a short time, making them stronger and quicker. The user is immune to all attacks and receives a boost in their existing abilities over necromancy. Once the transformation subsides and the user reverts to normal, they are immensely drained, cannot move and could possibly faint.

Traits

  1. Children of Hades have innate knowledge of the Underworld, able to guide themselves and allies to how to enter, explore and escape the Underworld. (as long as they aren’t already dead)
  2. Children of Hades tend to have dark attitudes and appreciate shadowy places.
  3. Children of Hades typically have an appreciation for the earth, feeling more comfortable on the ground rather than being in the sky or the sea.
  4. Children of Hades often grow up to make great morticians.

He sighs. I know you're out there. Come out, hiding is pointless when I can clearly sense your location.

"Strength can only come with weakness."

He scowls. I am Sasha Dyavol, and it would be my pleasure to attack.

The Fight

  • Sasha: He sinks into his shadow, and appears in Cody's shadow. With his kama, he slashes his opponent's back and in case Cody counters his move, he has a dagger hidden in his cloak.
  • Cody: He smiles at his opponent's expression, hinting not a bit of his competitiveness. Seeing Sasha sink into the shadows, he becomes more alert and grips on his twin fu taos. After he senses the cold shadow bursting beside him, a following sound of slicing through air rings in his ears not long after. With his quick reflexes, he drops to his knees and tries to hook one of his fu taos to the leg on same side Sasha holds his kama, thinking it might be his dominant side. He raises the other hook sword above in a defensive position in case things would fail. In these mere seconds, Cody thinks of ways to counter.
  • Sasha: He smirks, as he knows his plan has just reached it's first phase. He drops his kama, but this is only a diversion. He reveals his mechanical arm, and uses the steel claw attached to it to lock into Cody's fu taos, as he releases a side kick aimed to hit Cody in the head.
  • Cody: Cody, being himself, looks even more alarmed once Sasha has thrown away his weapon. Unless one desires suicide, he wouldn't just throw away his weapon. The idea of Sasha having a better card (or game plan) comes into his mind. Right in timing, as Sasha grabs hold of Cody's fu tao, he disperses into the shadows with his twin fu taos. He gets a small glimpse of what seems to be a mechanical arm before dashing through the shadowy forest to the fire pyre. He reappears and catches his breath. He reanalyses his situation with those metal claws of his opponent. On the ground are small stones, he then gets an idea. He switches his right fu tao to his left hand to foster 5 stones. He climbs up the small steps on the left towards the fire pyre. The blazing fire warms him, but he stands far back enough to not get burned. He hides directly behind the fire, awaiting to see Sasha, or at least his shadow in front of the fire.
  • Sasha: Still in mid kick, he stumbles but regains his balance when his foot didn't reach it's intended target. He grumbles, but picks up his fallen kama, as he searches for Cody's presence. Finding him to be near the fire pyre, he knows he'll have to be cautious. He shadow travels to a forest near Cody, away from his sight. He slowly makes his way to the pyre, and stops when he reaches the point where Cody can almost see him. He summons the corpse of a fallen civil American solider, armed with machetes in both hands. He'll use the zombie as a diversion, as he attacks Cody from the other direction. His voice full of wrath, he commands the dead solider to wildly attack Cody. The corpse complies, and it attacks Cody, swinging it's blades at random. Sasha on the other hand, bends the shadow around him, concealing him, as he too makes his way to Cody.
  • Cody: Once he sees a figure appear form the shadows, he throws 3 stones overhead, aiming to hit a random point given on Sasha's abdominal portion. Passing through the fire, the stones are heated up to enhance pain and even cause burns. As he was going throw the last two, he notices the figure rising from the earth. Being a son of Hades, he knows that man is dead. He throws the last 2 heated stones at the corpse. Tuning back to the figure he thinks was Sasha, he can notice the figure starting to fade. Not wanting to unveil his godly parent yet, he chooses not to usurp the command Sasha has on the corpse. Sasha might only think he is a son of an Underworld deity from his shadow traveling; he doesn't want to spoil this. As he feels the corpse going up the left stairway, he makes a hypothesis Sasha went to the right, trying to give a sneak attack. He shifts his direction to the left stairway, going half-way down the flight. With his fu tao ready, he moves to the left edge of the stairway. He then attempts to corner the corpse, stab it, then push the corpse to the fire to burn it. While three fourths of his attention is on the corpse, he gives a quarter for his back.
  • Sasha: He barely manages to dodge the flying stone as it flies above him, colliding with a tree. Seeing the sparks emanating from the stone, Sasha acknowledged he would have to be careful. He walked in a quiet, fast pace, taking each step accordingly in order to make sure he is not noticed. When he sees his corpse getting attacked, he sighs, but then realizes he could use this to his advantage. He shadow travels right behind the battle taking place between his zombie and Cody, and summons another solider, armed with a sword. He has that corpse attack Cody, and he too, begins his attack. He conjures a small astral sickle, and gets ready to throw it when he notices the fire pyre. Thinking that Cody must've somehow made the rock like that with the fire, he throws it through the fire, strengthening the power of the sickle. It's aimed to hit Cody's left shoulder.
  • Cody: He grunts, noticing not a sound of pain is made from the attack of 5 stones. His current position is facing the fire, trying to push the first off its feet. Again, it doesn't take him much time to realize a new corpse will be standing behind him. Guessing the new undead soldier would be on average height, he makes a risky move; as soon as he senses a figure appearing, he jumps back from the first corpse, faces a 90 degree angle, and aims to slash the second's head off with his right fu tao. Of course while battling, he had no time to notice Sasha's sickle, only to move to dodge the corpse's advances. As he couches down to his knee, the incoming sickle makes a slash on his upper left arm, thankfully. The sickle thrown by Sasha misses Cody by mere inches, now it is aimed at the chest of the undead wielding the machetes. Despite the result of his previous effort and the sudden pain, he extends both arms and rotates like a top to try and slash off the legs of both the corpses.
  • Sasha: Knowing his undead aren't going to last long, he sighs, before shadow traveling away from the battle. Before leaving, however, he leaves the corpses to be finished off by Cody as a way to distract him, as he sinks into his shadow. He doesn't watch to see that their corpses' legs were cut off, and defeated by Cody. Grumbling about the fatigue caused by shadow traveling, he appears under the shade of a low cliff, and an idea sparks in his mind. He summons another solider, armed with tomahawks in both hands. He then summons another corpse, armed with a sickle. He has it stay hidden in the shadow foliage, and it would act as if it was Sasha himself. He gives it his cloak that hides his celestial bronze arm, in order to make it seem more like him. But like the others, the corpses only serve as a diversion. Sasha sinks into his shadow, and reappears on the top of the cliff, where he conjures up another astral sickle. He plans for Cody to attack the zombie, and when the time is right, he would drop a sickle or two where Cody is, as an effort to damage and wear him out. The other corpse was just in case Cody was suspicious of the random corpse. Sasha is thankful for the small blow he inflicted upon Cody, as he managed to gain some energy, and even if it wasn't a lot, it was enough for Sasha to make a couple of trips. He wraps himself with the shadows around him, putting on another shadow cloak. Now, all Sasha could do was wait for his opponent.
  • Cody: After cutting off the corpses' legs, they tumble down the stairway. He hooks two legs at a time up and tosses them into the fire pyre, burning them. How much he pities the two corpses moving towards him with their arms as their master has commanded, he leaves them. They do not pose much of a threat on that condition. He runs up the stairs and take the stairway downwards. So far, he had only used his energy on a shadow travel and fighting off these corpses, not draining him as much; he actually is in awe of his opponent's stamina, conjuring corpse by corpse.  He runs towards the direction he heard footsteps from. He stops and becomes more cautious to notice the two corpses' back. How much Sasha will try to disguise them, genuine corpses reek a stronger scent of death than any live demi-god could. Cody knows that. With small light particles passing through the spaces between the leaves, he makes use of so. He senses a strong sense of death near the cliffs. The forest was about to end as it met the cliff. As he was suppose to greet the two corpses and act along, he then notices two wolf-like figures even closer to the two men. From their not-so-far distance, he climbs a tree and acts hidden as possible, without using his powers. The two wolves were simply enjoying the newly killed elk they had hunted. Feeling sorry, he then takes out four card and shoots it directly at both wolves' sides. The enraged wolves has none other to turn to, but what they currently see: the two corpses. He sits on the tree as he watches the couple of wolves dash towards the two corpses on a frenzy.
  • Sasha: Seeing his original plan fail, he facepalms for forgetting how bad the corpses reeked. He mutters, "I'm getting too used to the smell of dead body . . ." Seeing the wolves dash toward his corpses, his eyes widen, but he realizes he could use this to his advantage. Cody can't come down, without the threat of being torn to shreds, and Sasha can sense where he is "Now, a plan . . ." He looks around for any possible way to kill the wolves, and injure Cody greatly before hearing the sound of a distant, crackling noise coming from behind him. A fire pyre. Sasha smirked, as he rushed to the pyre, not bothering to shadow travel, as he used too much energy already by conjuring corpses alone. While running, he picks up a stick, strong enough to withstand being crushed Sasha's hand, but dry enough to be easily put on fire. Finally, he reached the pyre, and with a single move, he jabs the stick inside the fire. It quickly catches flames, as Sasha expected it would. He's careful to prevent the stick from reaching a total inferno. The flaming stick now in hand, he shadow travels back to his old position. He gasps for air, but endures the pain, as he looks under the cataclysm currently unfolding under the cliff. The wolves have already disemboweled the corpses, one is already hounding on the leg of one. He isn't disgusted by the scene, hanging around corpses can considerably boost your immunity of such grotesque things. Sasha laughed softly, as he threw the flaming stick at a wolf devouring the stomach area of a corpse, hoping for it's fur to catch on fire. His plan is for the animal's fur to blaze, and when it panics, it will most likely run around, hoping to get rid of the fire. This will contribute to the destruction of the forest around it, as even though it is a simple fire, it should surely be still powerful enough to create said havoc.
  • Cody: Smiling at the wolves successfully tearing the corpses, the corner catches something on fire. In a few seconds, the targeted wolf catches on fire. Turning to the direction of origin, he looks very disgusted and enraged at Sasha for actually trying to burn an innocent animal, most of all, his favorite kind. Unfortunately for Sasha, Cody has his exact location targeted and his own location is well hidden from the wolves; this time, the wolves can also see him, since he didn't blend in the shadows like before. Cody, on the other hand, aims to freeze Sasha and make him feel trapped in a coffin, powerless to move away. Sasha only had only scarred one wolf, but the other was alert. Confused and only concerning his life, the burning wolf jumps off the cliff, towards the shallow waters; the wolf is safe as it wades to shores. Immediately after Cody aims to freeze Sasha, the other notices the stick's origin and dashing towards Sasha for revenge. From a distance, the running wolf tries to pounce on Sasha with its claws and teeth meaning to kill. Unwilling to see a person die in front of him, as soon as the wolf had pounced, he lets go of his control over his powers to make Sasha feel trapped, giving his opponent choices to shadow travel away or otherwise.
  • Sasha: Enraged that his plan failed, he suddenly gasps when he feels as if he's being trapped in a coffin. He grimaces, but his grimace soon turns into a look of rage when he realizes only one kind of god could Cody possibly be the son of. Hades. Enraged from this realization, he tries to yell in anger. Sasha has a natural hatred for children of Hades, as well as the god, believing that his father, Thanatos, is the supreme god of the Underworld, and that he should deserve more recognition instead of Hades. As the wolf rushed to him, he is in a state of momentary fear, but that doesn't last long when he is suddenly freed from his mental prison. As the wolf pounced on him, Sasha blocked the fangs of the animal's teeth from reaching his being by using his mechanical arm. While blocking, he conjures a small sickle, and slashes at the vulnerable underbelly of the wolf.
  • Cody: From his position, he throws 3 steel cards at a random point given on his abdomen. He finds Sasha quite distracted with the wolf. The wolf does its best to avenge it's companion; sadly, it was too rash. After being slashed on the underbelly, the wolf rolls against the rock by the collision and force coming from Sasha. It whimpers in pain, tempting Cody to rescue it. Cody knows he cannot do as much and decides to face away from the wolf as it cries a lonely howl. To be honest, he is much in glee, being able to drain his opponent by countering most his attacks. He jumps down from the tree, seeing there is not much of a treat anymore from the wolf. As he was about to finally summon corpses, he decides to use that out later. A few meters away from Sasha, he stands there defensively. Seeing how Sasha reacted to the wolf, he knows he cannot be rash in fighting these types of opponents.
  • Sasha: He manages to block most of the cads with his mechanical arm, but obtained a small cut on his left cheek and right calf. He ignores the pain, as he glares at his opponent in front of him, with a new found hatred for him. Now that Sasha knows that Cody is a son of Hades, he's going to have to be as vigilant as ever. He may have regained some energy back, thanks to defeating the wolf, but he doesn't bother summoning corpses, knowing that Cody could easily take control of his own, and send them right back at them, with the intent to take their former master down. He also doesn't bother making a shadow cloak, as it's pointless to keep hidden, if your opponent can see where you've keeping yourself hidden. As Sasha is also a bit tired from summoning multiple undead, shadow traveling, conjuring sickles and shadow cloaks, as well as fighting the wolf, he knows he will have to conserve as much energy as possible. He may be enraged that his opponent is a son of Hades, but he knows he can't let his anger get the better of him. He's aware of how sometimes rage can blind a man, and he wants to make certain of himself that he doesn't end up like a despicable child of Ares. Sasha starts thinking about his plan again. Seeing that he can't go on the defensive for now, he decides to go on the offensive. That is, until he sees a flaw in Cody's movements. As Sasha is unable to control any corpses Cody could summon, he enchants his steel claw on his mechanical arm to have soul-damaging qualities, while his astral sickle remains normal. He prepares himself for any attack Cody could make.
  • Cody: Curious of what is rolling inside the mind of his opponent just standing there, he re-formats his previous plan, making it more entwined with the cliffs. The eyes of Sasha are filled of hatred, while Cody's is filled with zeal. To be honest, Cody has never judged any person regardless of their godly parent, only seeking opponents who are worth his time. A prideful rabbit can be surpassed by a diligent turtle, so he keeps that in mind always. In his heart, he wants to defeat the cruel one who has tried to burn alive his favorite animal. To draw his prey out from hiding, he create a very small fissure in the ground which spew small amounts of hell-fire just behind Sasha. Some of the grasses catch on fire. If Sasha gets partially burned, it would not be Cody's intention; Cody simply wants to alarm his opponent, trying to flush him forward and closer to himself.
  • Sasha: Feeling the ground momentarily shake, he doesn't even have to turn around to know what's happening. He rushes towards Cody, and decides that the time to end the battle is upcoming. As hell fire threatens to lap at his legs, he keeps pressing forward. Filthy son of Hades, I will enjoy taking you down! He throws his astral sickle, aiming for Cody's waist, before conjuring another sickle to replace the one he lost. He keeps his claw ready just in case Cody tries to summon an undead, as he continues to charge.
  • Cody: As soon as Sasha goes towards him, he smiles. His smile fades as the sickle cuts a moderate slash on his left abdominal side, much thanks to his leather breastplate. His mind immedaitely summons 3 undead soldiers to his side. The ground opens to make way for these Chinese skeleton warriors with strands of hair. First on carries a jian, second, quite moldy and rusty bow and arrows,  while the third is dual curved swords.  Without using his powers, Cody backs away to a safe distance as he sends telephatic commands towards his warriors. The two armed warriors try to form a wall block for Sasha as the third moves forward to serve as a decoy and dummy. The first stays in place to guard Cody in case Sasha makes rash actions. The second starts to fire 3 arrows. The third desires to answer to Sasha's weapons with its own, trying to clash them together and lower Sasha's guard. Being a "filthy" son of Hades, his control is absolutely noted by his "men." From the distance, he takes out his bag of ambroasia, hidden within his breastplate, and pops one into his mouth before keeping it. While doing so, he is guiding his minions.
  • OOC: So far, I didnt read any rules we can't take and use ambrosia in battle. Also, I saw it in a counselor challenge a long while ago.
  • Sasha: Seeing the corpses, he smirks, as he mentally summons a corpse of his own at last moment. Conserving enough energy to conjure one last undead, without the threat of collapsing, he uses the corpse as a literal meat shield. As an arrow cuts his left side, he deflects the blow of Cody's third undead's sword with his sickle, before delivering a slash to it's shoulder with his claw. Sasha kicks down his own undead so it falls on top of the first, hoping that his undead will take down Cody's one with it. As for the second one, Sasha allows an arrow to pierce his left calf, as he delivers a series of slashes at the second's waist and legs.
  • Cody: As the result of Sasha's attack, the third skeleton warrior shamefully gets injured by Sasha's slash. Even if it was pure bone, his attack causes the undead's shoulder ti nearly break. It tumbles to ground and the incoming corpse lays on top of it, making it lose grip on his left sword.Cody places that copses on mindless mode. Confused, it struggles to get the Sasha's corpse off itself by pushing it and rabidly hacking it with its right sword. Meanwhile, the first corpses gets ready to be the next defense sheild, leaving the one shooting the moldy and rusty arrows on the back. The second corpse continues to shoot two more arrows, leaving only two left. However, the first courageously charges at Sasha. Since it has carries a jian, or spear-like blade. It won't get too close for Sasha to crush it with his metal claw. Cody, on the other hand, steps forward to be beside his last corpse, the one shooting arrows. Despite being constantly drained from controlling the corpses, he readies his fu tao. He thanks the gods he has not used much of it in the first parts as well as for the ambrosia.

Suggestions

Broken wins, I'd suggest not overwriting and focusing on actions solely, it kinda gets too fluffy and it gets hard to keep up with all that's going on with every single entity being brought in, what they're doing, are they alive, where are they etc.
