Water Arena

Arenas agua2
  • Both very deep and shallow water areas, ranging from 20 feet deep to a few inches
  • A tunnel deep down goes out to the ocean where other creatures could be called in
  • There's plenty of dry areas as well for users not Palaemon or Poseidon kids, that are covered with anything ranging from sand to grass to some small vegetation/shrubs
  • There are some trees around the sides of the arena and below the cliffs (not shown in picture) that can be used for cover and provides plenty of places for shadows
  • There are also cliffs around parts of the Arena, ranging in height, with both water and land below them, the cliffs also cast shadows on the arena below
  • The arena is open to the sky and elements
  • On each end of the arena, on top of some large pillars, are pyres, full of fire and wood. The fire that burns within the pyres can not be extinguished, but if the fire is removed from the pyres, it can then be put out.

The Fight[]

Elisa: Elisabella stands next to one of one of the large pillars, the flame emanating from its pyre glowing behind her. She wears very thin armor and wields two celestial bronze swords. Slowly, she begins to walk towards the Center of the arena, stopping where the water is a few inches deep. She gazes around, waiting for her opponent.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth enters the arena clad in her customary battle garb including a celestial bronze chestplate. She smiles as she observes the abundance of water. Standing at the edge of the water, she freezes part of the water into a small platform which she steps onto and uses to drift toward the deepest section. Once there, she holds her harpoon at the ready and awaits her opponent's move.

Elisa: She quickly backs away from the water. Once on dry land, she faces Elixabeth directly and attempts to force a state of exhaustion on her.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth was caught unawares and immediately laid down on the ground fast asleep. Fortunately for her, her long frustrating habit of rolling around while sleeping became her salvation. She unconsciously rolled to the right and fell of her raft into the cold water. Awake, angry and full of energy, Elixabeth climbed back onto the raft and glared at Elisa. Keeping her harpoon in mist form, she raised her composite bow and shot an arrow straight at Elisa's throat. Immediately after she fired the arrow she set down the bow and created a pair of shurikens out of ice and summoning some wind to help their journey, threw them at Elisa's chest.

Elisa: She runs to the right, ducking, managing to dodge the arrow. She raises the sword she carries in her left hand, hoping to deflect the shurikens. However, though her weapon scrapes one of the shurikens, barely throwing it off course, the other hits her shoulder full on. Elisa winces at the blow, though her armor serves to moderarely protect her. When Elisa reaches the edge of the arena, she conjures up an assortment of poppies, rendering her invisible to Elixabeth. She takes advantafe of the brief respite to quickly meditate, a process which heals her wounds slightly.

Elixabeth: Sensing a momentary lapse in the battle, Elixabeth takes a moment to recuperate from her casting of the shurikens. Her energy recuperated, she decides to wait and allow Elisa to make the next move.

Elisa: After a few minutes, Elisa wakes from her slumber, and then walks through her poppy field, arms outstretched, both of her swords at the ready. She focuses on Elixabeth and begins rapidly walking, with an increasing pace, so that soon she is running in her opponent's direction. When she again arrives at the water's edge, Elisa stops, swinging the sword in her right hand while tightly grasping the other.

Elixabeth: Placing her bow on her back, Elixabeth quickly activated her harpoon and with a giant sweep caused a large splash of water to splash at Elisa. As the water reached her, Elixabeth began freezing the water so that Elisa would hopefully be frozen in place.

Elisa: Elisa backs away in a hurry but is not quick enough, so though she manages to escape for the most part, her feet remain stuck. Small portions of ice also cling to her armor. She tries desperately to dislodge herself, cutting at the ice encasing her feet with one of her swords.

Elixabeth: Seizing her chance, Elixabeth leapt toward Elisa using her flying ability slightly to ensure she made the distance. Landing next to her, Elixabeth raised her harpoon and attempted to stab Elisa hard in the arm she was using to free herself of the ice.

Elisa: Upon hearing Elixabeth land, Elisa turns to face her, quickly reaching out to touch her opponent's arm. The direct contact instantly causes Elixabeth to fall asleep. However, the harpoon had already launched, forcing Elisa to evade it by hurriedly swiveling around it, pulling herself towards Elixabeth as she does so. Then, taking advantage of Elixabeth's unconsciousness, Elisa assumes control of her body, making Elixabeth walk a reasonable distance away from the water. Elisa relinquishes control at this point, getting up and approaching her enemy, pointing a sword at her chest.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth is awakened by the sudden jerking of her body and she sees Elisa's sword pointed at her chest. She knows she is at a disadvantage having been separated from the water. Thinking fast, she generates a large glob of saliva around her mouth and spits all over her left hand. Freezing the saliva into an ice glove around her hand, Elixabeth punches the sword away from her chest. The action causes her immense pain but buys her some time and she leaps away back toward her raft. As she leaps away she plucks an ice shard from her waste and lets it fly at Elisa's throat.

Elisa: Elisa is so surprised at the turn of events that she fails to keep her hold on the sword, causing it to fall to the ground. She turns away from the water in a feeble attempt to block the shard of ice, but it hits her squarely in the back, almost certainly leaving a bruise, even though her armor is not affected. Elisa stumbles onto the floor but manages to roll over so she ends up facing the water.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth decided to make a more defensive maneuver and raised her arms, creating a circle of ice spikes about 4 feet tall around the raft. She then touched her smarting hand to the ice and created another ice glove around it to help ease the pain.

Elisa: Elisa gets up slowly, then seeing the newly formed ice spikes, frowns. She looks around, then, honing in on the fires burning on top of the pillars, uses her astral projection to view the flames more closely. They are too high for Elisa to reach, but if she did manage to get a hold of a piece of wood, Elisa would have something to melt the spikes with. Therefore Elisa comes back to her body and starts to approach one of the pillars, hoping to somehow get access to the fire.

Elixabeth: Observing Elisa and secure in her location, Elixabeth decided to switch things up. Focusing her energy, Elixabeth conjured up an ice golem that appeared in the shallow end of the water. She directed the golem to pursue and attack Elisa as she tried to make her way to the pyre. Temporarily spent of energy, Elixabeth tenderly laid herself down on the raft and allowed the cold to slowly recuperate her.

Elisa: Elisa doesn't notice the golem right away, but when she does, she immediately turns her attention away from the pyre, dashing off into a nearby cluster of trees, some twenty or thirty feet from the pillar. With the golem not far behind her, Elisa runs at top speed, ignoring the growing pain in her back, with the hopes of climbing up one of the trees in time to evade the creature.

Elixabeth: The golem was too slow to reach Elisa before she started climbing the tree and the golem knew it couldn't climb after her. Undeterred, it began using its massive and icy arms to smash down the tree. Finally with a final thrash the tree began to fall rapidly to the ground. As the tree fell the golem faded away. Elixabeth sat up and witnessed the falling tree and hoped that Elisa had climbed high enough so that the fall of the tree would have some serious consequences.

Elisa: Elisa had climbed about halfway up the tree when it began to fall. Taking her chances, she decides to jump from that height, trying to land as far away from the tree as possible. She manages to fall onto flat ground, though she twists her ankle in the process. Covered in debris, Elisa limps further into the gathering of trees, lurking in the shadows provided, attempting to remain unseen.

Elixabeth: Elixabeth grew weary of this cat and mouse chase and wanted this fight done. Recovered from the golem conjuration, she stood up and called forth a hail storm of golf ball sized hail to rain down over the forest. Still not content, Elixabeth raised her bow and began firing arrows sporadically into different areas of the forest. Once she had exhausted her supply of arrows, she reinforced the ice glove around her left hand, directed her raft back toward the shore and dissipated the spikes around the raft. As she stepped onto the shore she glanced toward the besieged forest for a moment and then turned and stepped out of the arena.

Notes[]

So far, you guys did fine, though for the record I gave a lot less points of Elisa/Ruby's fairness for g'modding. Long story short, Elixabeth/Wind wins. Congrats :)
