Gunner Kingston is an asshole who cares very little for his children or their safety. As a clear-sighted mortal, he's the kind of man who whores himself around for the sake of having the Greek gods' children. Or, well, not just Greek gods' - he's willing to procreate with any immortal deity, whether it's in a forceful or a consenting way. He's impregnated deities including even Hera. As you can imagine, an extensive amount of demigod children within the same area didn't lead to anything remotely good.

Donovan isn’t the first Kingston to be born into the Greek pantheon – far from it. Gunner has always been the kind of man to live off his inheritance and throw the biggest parties in all of New York. Personality

Donovan values success, justice and order. That’s it, really. And right now – the gods don’t cut it. He’s passionate about those three things, and he’s known to do anything to avoid failure, and to restore the latter two. Thus, he can be a bit intense, especially if it’s correlating with his values. He’s withdrawn and prefers to work alone, unless his twin is involved, in which case he hasn’t got much of an issue. He’s quiet, like you’d expect a son of Lelantos to be, and quite sly, too. He’s a ghost in the battlefield and hasn’t got much of a life outside the Champions of Othrys, either, hence why he’s hardly worth remembering – which is honestly what he’s aiming for.

History

As the son of deceased legacies and as a clear-sighted mortal himself, he understood the pantheons were in America, and so he hoped that by throwing lavish parties, he’d lure them in. He succeeded, for the most parts. Gods like Apollo, like Zeus, like even Thanatos showed up just to have a good time. Even titans like Eurybia, Hyperion, and yes – Lelantos.

You would never expect Lelantos and Gunner to hook up at first sight. I mean, Lelantos is the Titan of Air – of the unseen. Gunner, on the other hand, loves making himself heard, seen and known. They got along well enough, though, as they balanced one another out. The pieces fit together perfectly, like finishing off a puzzle. They only lasted one night, but it was a night to remember. It involved drinks, enough women to fill up Madison Square Garden, and jazz music. It was wild, just like Gunner, and for one night – Lelantos didn’t seem to mind.

Donovan was just a babe. He didn’t choose to be a demititan, let alone the son of one of the world’s shittiest mortal parent. He didn’t deserve to raise his half-siblings and twin with the help of an army of butlers and nannies. He didn’t deserve to become a dad so young, but it happened. At the very least he could count on some form of help from his other father – Lelantos. He always knew of his heritage, and made sure his siblings knew theirs. He’s certain if it weren’t for him, they would’ve been oblivious until the day they were first attacked.

His childhood is a blur of butlers and nannies. He remembers every single time a baby was dropped off at the front door, every time with a small card that elaborated on the babies’ heritage. Gunner didn’t want Donovan knowing these kinds of things, at least not yet, but he wasn’t the oldest – those older than him talked a lot, and those talks always led to word spreading to places it typically shouldn’t. He knew the kind of man his mortal father was, and why he was that kind of man. He wanted to make a name for himself in the demigods’ world, even without the abilities. He wanted to be in on the game. He wanted to know anything and everything involving the Greek (and by extension Roman) worlds existed.

Most of Donovan’s siblings never got anything from their parents. They didn’t receive weapons, guidance, anything. Only Donovan himself got anything resembling an inkling of help, and it was in the form of a bow. The bow is beautiful, made of actual gold though charmed to ensure it never weighted him down. It came with a quiver that could refill easily up to 50 arrows per hour, as he would learn later on in his life. That simple gesture of giving his son some way of protecting himself earned Lelantos a lot of brownie points, even if he doesn’t know it. (But he does.)

Some of Donovan’s siblings died before they turned fifteen. Others didn’t make It past their thirteenth birthday. It’s like they were being picked off, one by one, by the monsters created to hunt their species down. Luck was always on Donovan’s side, though. Or maybe it was just the fact that the was old enough to understand that he was a son of Lelantos who was in for a tough life, he began to train with the gift his godly father left him. Or maybe it was just the fact that his older siblings were always around to save the day. The first attack rolled in when he was fourteen, by none other than Orthrus. Four arrows. One per eye. That’s all it took to disintegrate the monster. However, no amount of training could have prepared Donovan for it. He had walked out of his house with one of his half-sisters that day. (She was the same age as him, which comes to show how big a manwhore Gunner truly is.) Only he returned that day. His sister – Lucille – died that fateful day. It can easily be defined Donovan’s turning point, as it’s the day where his rage towards the gods and their horrid ways began to manifest.

Had the Champions of Othrys surfaced earlier, Donovan likely would have hesitated before he joined. But as the years went on and on, his ire towards the gods and the way they reign continued to develop. Donovan once went to Camp Half-Blood, you know. He was sixteen, and went only because his father forced him to. With his quest for some form of control in the Greek world still on his mind, Gunner wanted all of his children to go to Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter respectively, by the age of sixteen, and he wanted them to stay. He didn't care if they got there dead or alive. He just wanted the Kingstons to be prominent figures in their respective camps.

Donovan hated his life then. His journey to get to camp may have been a short one in distance, it took much longer to actually get there. He was ambushed by a trio of hellhounds. He killed all three, but suffered from terrible wounds. If it weren't for his very capable older sister, Donovan likely wouldn't be alive. Donovan's sister - well, she was a Broken Covenant member. He was unaware of the fact, but it made sense as to why she refused to go to Camp, growing angry when Donovan suggested it. So he was forced to go his own way, after a hefty argument. It was bad, and Donovan felt like crap for the things he yelled at her afterwards, but in the heat of the moment, a resentful Donovan Kingston finished his journey to Camp Half-Blood.

Donovan lasted one night. That was longer than you'd have expected, what with how shitty it went down for him. It started off with his arrival. It was all fine and dandy until the second he mentioned his father was Lelantos. First, he faced skepticism. How was it that Donovan knew who his father was? He didn’t seem like a titan kid, either. But as the time passed, his heritage made itself obvious, especially from the subconscious use of his powers. He then began to face backlash. It was really bad. Demigods sneered at him and insulted him, just ‘cause of his status as the son of a titan. They were conditioned – by the gods, no less – to believe all titan spawns were moral-less shits.

It was tough to get him to stay overnight, but given the fact there were Kingstons already in camp, it was easier for him to come to the decision. Given the lack of a cabin for him, he stayed at the Big House, though he wasn’t able to get much sleep. What little he got was interrupted by his own father. Though it was very brief, given the need to not break the Ancient Laws, he was able to utter one word: leave. He did so, the morning that soon came, right before dawn. It raised a lot of red flags for Camp, it seemed, and things worsened for the Kingstons that remained. Given Donovan’s status as the son of a titan, the lack of trust in him translated into a lack of trust in his half-siblings from Gunner’s side.

For the years that followed, Donovan spent his time back home with Gunner and the half-siblings the man continued to give him. He trained them in the same arts he was once trained in by demigods generations older than him. He passed on every ounce of knowledge he had to them. If he happened to pass on his resentment towards the gods, it wasn’t intentional. (Bullshit, it totally was.) Donovan spent years in the safety of his home, though of course the safety faltered every now and then when he and his siblings were attacked. Typically, they happened every other month, and every time one did, Donovan took it upon himself to get the another Kingston to camp. He hoped that the less children there were in the vicinity, the better off everyone would be. He harbored resentment towards Gunner for what he was doing, and tried to counterattack his actions by getting rid of the Kingstons one by one. It seemed he wasn’t the only one who harbored those feelings.

It was one of the estranged Kingstons that did it, coincidentally. His brother – he was older than Donovan, by a couple of years, and was one of the many sons of Zeus. He killed their mortal father, in blind rage. Donovan had just returned from seeing one of his younger siblings off (he typically dropped them off at the bottom of Half-Blood Hill, with one of his siblings at Camp), just in time to see his brother drive a knife into their father’s chest. He died in a matter of seconds, but by the time he did die, the son of Zeus was long gone. Donovan might have hated his father, but he didn’t deserve to die, either, for his actions. Though Donovan swore to never again return to Camp, he had to do so. His brother needed to be brought to justice. His arrival at camp sent a lot of people into a frenzy, but Donovan was king enough to throw his brother into the forest and take care of the situation there. There was a fight – a duel, you could call it – and Donovan wound up killing his brother. Unfortunate for him, he was caught by some campers of that time. He believed them to be alone, and lashed out at them, blinded by fury over the events that had led up to that moment. Those demigods died that day.

Donovan’s ire towards the gods grew tenfold. They didn’t believe in justice – they believed in shooting down everyone who didn’t believe in their rule, or in their demigods’ abilities. He hated them and everything they stood for. How demigods could just believe in them blindly and follow their every command astounded him. Donovan was bitter and resented the gods. He believed they just weren’t fit to rule. He still does, too. He knows the titans would prove to be more effective at the helm than the gods. Word of his ire seemed to spread in all the right places, as he was soon contacted by an anonymous person - whom he'd later find out was Kiran Ellis - who informed him of a group with similar thoughts. He'd thought it was just rumors, but to know they were real - it made him feel excitement.

He had to admit, he was enamored by the thought of the Champions of Othrys and the values they held. He knew he'd do close to anything to prove his worth, join their ranks, and restore order and justice in this world.

Powers
OffensiveEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos have the ability to create powerful gusts of wind, the more powerful the gust, the more it drains the user.
DefensiveEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos can surround themselves in a tornado like gust of wind, which prevents any attacks for a short time, but leaves them severally drained.
  2. Children of Lelantos have the ability to create a dome shaped torrent of wind, roughly two or three times the size of the user, which can be used to block attacks for a very short time.
PassiveEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos are very stealthy and are able to move so quietly they are practically, but not virtually unseen
  2. Children of Lelantos are skilled at camouflage so that they are able to blend in with their environment to the point of being virtually undetectable to the naked eye, however if they move, they risk becoming detected
SupplementaryEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos have the ability to hover or fly, however, the longer they fly the more it drains them.
  2. Children of Lelantos possess great talent and instinct in/for hunting all things. They can track anything under any condition, sense the weaknesses of their prey and exploit them for a short time
3 Months After Character is MadeEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos are able to form armor out of the surrounding air. The design varies from user to user, but a theme of quick movement and speed is usually common. This blunts most projectiles and the longer they maintain it the more energy it drains.
6 Months After Character is MadeEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos are able to transform their body completely into air, while in this state they are impervious to attack, and can move faster than when flying or on the ground, the longer they remain in this state the more energy it drains and the more time they must rest between transformations. Also while in this state they can use air currents to teleport to one place to another. The stronger the wind is, the farther the user will go with this.
9 Months After Character is MadeEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos can create any creature (be it real or not) out of air, and be able to control it, no larger than 2 to 3 times the size of the user. The user can make the creature do his bidding and follow his thoughts. They can use it for a few purposes whether to scout or attack, but while the creature is made they are incapacitated and the longer the maintain the creature, the more energy is drained.
TraitsEdit
  1. Children of Lelantos are generally good at tracking.
  2. Children of Lelantos generally make good spies and thieves.
